So this morning I go in before going to work to pick up a salad and a snack. I pay in the self check, I pay the cashier provided a plastic bag. So I leave the store. A employee behind me yells to me if I bought peanut butter I told her no. Then she proceeds to tell me that my payment did not go through for the peanut butter. The employee was so rude and I was very embarrassed. I had my receipt for my transaction. The worst part is that the employee was yelling from across the parking lot. I'm not happy with their customer service! Maybe hire employees that are capable of helping the few people in line at 7:35am! read more

I don't usually write reviews of supermarket chains. But I would be remiss if I didn't give this particular Raley's some Yelp love. This store really saved my butt the other day. I was hosting a 200-person soiree at Napa's Crusher Wine District a few miles away. It happened to be super hot that day (90 degrees in the shade!). Although it was a wine-themed event, i also had 4 non-alcoholic vendors participating, and their ice was melting fast. 2 hours into the event and the ice was almost gone. So I jumped in my car to the nearest market/ice cooler I could find. Fortunately, Raley's was just a hop, skip, and a jump away from our event site. There was plenty of free parking in the shopping center. And when I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the nice layout of the store (it almost looked like a Whole Foods Market), and there were barely any lines at the check-out stands. In less than 5 minutes, I was out the door with 80 lbs of ice for less than 30 bucks. One of the baggers even offered to help me carry it all out to my car. I didn't know supermarkets still offered that kind of service. So long story short, I'm truly grateful to this Raley's for helping me in a pinch and making my event a huge success! read more

Raley's is a local supermarket chain. Like their sibling chain Nob Hill, they're pricey. I shopped the sales. They've expanded to Thursday wine tastings... as if the Napa Valley were not the kind of place for that (originally, Raley's did a test run of supermarket wine tastings in Sacramento/Roseville) They have an OK variety. They used to have their organic foods all in one place- now they're more diffuse. They had organic pluots on sale (cheaper than the conventionally grown ones) Their Something Extra recipe magazine is no longer free. I've had their breakfast&I was unimpressed. In some ways, they're more expensive than Whole Foods. I had friendly service, but all in all, it was merely OK. read more

I am new to this area and shopping at this Raley's was such a pleasant experience for me. I was so relieved to see that all of the employees were wearing their masks properly. It made me feel so at ease while shopping for my groceries. My checker, Diego, was so kind and courteous and made sure I was able to find everything I needed. Raley's sent some coughing, wheezing, mullet-wearing, thunder-foot of a woman to stalk me and my friends around the liquor section this Sunday. Seriously stalking...not in an "oh can I help you find something" kind of way - much more of an "I don't trust you hooligans" kind of way. Who knows, maybe she was protecting the strawberry schnapps bottles like a mama bear so she could take all of it home to her den on wheels. As a near 30 year old man it is disturbing to be treated as though I were an 18 year old thug looking to steal me some Zimas. I then considered it...and chose to let it go...besides, who drinks Zima? After a catastrophe at the self check out with 3 episodes of "assistance required" I was carded by a guy who obviously did not know how to read. This is not an exaggeration. We then shoved our way through pushy kids selling raffle tickets to God knows what, a sea of SUV's, and a series of odd people. Then we sat in traffic to exit since Raley's is part of a strip mall and there are tons of people who do not know how to drive slowly maneuvering the lot. It is important to note that Raley's did not have a good hot dog bun selection either. Next time I'll go to Safeway. read more

It's Raley's, nothing really special about it you'd think...but they have the absolute best selection and prices on wine! Same is to be said for liquor too. As far as groceries, it's pretty nice but I prefer Fresh & Easy down Imola instead. read more

The most important thing about Raley's is that it's the only supermarket in the area that sells USDA Choice graded beef!! (Safeway sells that "Rancher's Reserve" crap -- it's their own brand that they created so they could avoid paying USDA fees. It's barely equivalent to USDA Select.) Raley's is a big supermarket -- but on the upscale side. Kinda reminds me of Pavilion's in So Cal. The prices are slightly higher than Safeway, but the selection is vastly better (especially the beef, as I mentioned), and the produce is waaay better. I usually do most of my shopping here and then head over to Whole Foods (expensive) for the handful of items that I can't find (morels, caviar, etc.) at Raley's. read more

I don't like to leave 1 star reviews, but somebody has to hear about this experience I had today with Raley's.. I tried to call Raley's to order some balloons from the Floral department for a party that I am having this weekend. I called the store number and went through the automated menu to take me to the floral department... The phone rang, and rang with nobody coming to answer. 3 Times.. So, I called again, and went through the menu again, this time to the customer service department thinking surely somebody here can help me order some balloons. After reaching the customer service department, I was told to hold on and I would be connected to the floral department. A minute later, the same lady comes on the phone and says "The girl from the floral department wont be back from lunch till 1:00". I politely explained to the lady, it's 12:00 and I have already called 3 times in the last hour and got no answer.. I asked her if she could help me, and her response was that the other girl was on lunch and she didn't understand how the phone could have kept ringing and ringing becasue she was right there.. Long story short... All I wanted was for somebody to help me order some balloons, not treat me like a child and still not help me! I ordered my balloons from Safeway.. read more

I typically don't go out of my way to write bad reviews but I've had a few terrible encounters with CORRINE! Short, reddish brown hair and is usually at the deli. She is the nastiest, rudest, person I have ever come in contact with. A customer was trying to order a sandwich who didn't speak very good English and she was so rude to him, making racist comments under her breath and trying to make it more difficult then it needed to be. It was such an uncomfortable situation, no one should be treated that way. Then, tonight as I was checking out she didn't want to help me she rolled her eyes at me and had the worst attitude. Stopped by to pick up some veggies as Walmart was running low on stock. Was not expecting to be paying Whole Food prices for subpar veggies that were not even organic. They looked good, but just overpriced. On the positive side of things they had ample amount of veggies of all sorts if you are in need. The same goes for their deli, seafood, meat, and dairy sections. I guess I will stick to my TJ/Walmart runs for now. read more

I like this grocery store for a few reasons. Nice selection of baked goods and they make wonderful personalized birthday cakes to order. There is a rather large health food section, asian food section, Mexican food section, and other ethic varieties. Also they have a good make up, beauty products, hair products, etc. section. Wine and beer secion I have heard is slightly lacking for me it seems good enough for home shopping. Easy to get around and comfortable to shop here. The staff are great and very helpful. read more

This is my regular supermarket mostly because it is right down the street from where I live. I do enjoy the fact that they have quality produce and a great butcher department. Their wine section is decent but I have seen better for a supermarket. For the most part the staff is very friendly and helpful. It sometimes seems like it is hard to find someone to help you at times but when you do they usually are willing and helpful.The prices are a bit higher on some items and there is no frequent shopper card or program which kinda sucks. Also they have a pharmacy and a Wells Fargo bank (not just ATM's but rather a full office and tellers). Big parking lot with plenty of spaces. read more

This one star is for the bakery in particular. I ordered a cake with my daughter's picture on it for her high school graduation party (obviously a very special day). First of all, they said they could not center the picture on the cake. It would have to be to the side and writing and we oration on other side. Ok fine, as long as it looks NICE! The baker said yes, it would look great, not to worry. Well the day of the party, the cake was the last thing I needed to pick up. Get to Raleys. The clerk brings it out. No writing. She says, "oh I guess the baker forgot to write on it for you. Let me try." Umm, ok..? Brings cake back out and says, "I messed up right here so I just covered it with some white frosting." Looks terrible! The writing does not even fit on the cake! So disappointed. No offer for a discount, nothing. Just wanted to cry receiving this ugly cake for such a special occasion. Only thing nice about it was my daughter's picture that I provided. Will never buy another cake from this bakery. read more

An older man working at the express check out was rude and charged me for extra bags. I didn't realize it was the express lane and to many items. He could have handled it differently by possibly telling me it was the express lane before he checked me out. Instead he took it upon himself to check me out charge me for extra bags and then tell me it was the express lane in a rude tone. The customer service should be better, maybe show them how to take care the situation instead of lashing out at a customer who simply didn't know they were in the express lane. read more

He went above and beyond with my wife and myself and took care of us like we were family. We will be coming back to visit our new friend and will not be going our fish anywhere else. Cashiers are so racist. And rude. They never said !hi. The store its perfect clean and neat, but their staf dosent go with the store.

I would rate a zero if I could. I'm taking care of my mom whose health is not the best. I only use raleys as an emergency since they are 2 blocks away. We all have to enter/exit same six foot wide door. One should be dedicated to enter only, and one to exit only. Three security were there. Why not station one at each door. Employees were standing side by side in the store, especially in the registers. Show leadership skills would ya? Then they watch as other customers stand right on your back, this is even with markers on the floor. They don't enforce any social distancing at all. They also don't behave with social distancing skills. They don't sanitize hands or registers between customers so I have germs from all the other people who came before me. I work in this industry myself and we sanitize between each customer, we have dedicated enternces/exits. We don't stand in groups. Can anyone there define caring for the health and safety of all who enter their doors? Or is it just plain bottom line dollars? read more

Had a real unpleasant time checking out at 10:15 am last Friday. It took 20 minutes to check out with q half cart of,groceries. If I could give a negative rating here I would as this stores customer service has gone downhill. I go in to grab a few items and in line behind the customer already paying. I'm patiently waiting my turn as the clerk continues to carry on her personal conversation with the lady while I'm waiting. In my mind I thought ok it's probably been a while since they saw each other with pandemic so I continued to wait. After a couple minutes pass and she was already done, the clerk (Kristen) makes eye contact with me but continues to carry on. Meanwhile the young bagger On the other side looks at me then looks at clerk as if saying hello there is a customer. I finally grab my basket and go scan myself. She then Acted as if returning to help me. I left and walked into manager and let her know my complaint. She apologized and said she had talked to her about that before. GO Kristen! No really GO!!! I am from Southern Cali and we do not have Raley's... I wished we did have them in my area...the store was clean, the employee's are friendly... and lots of variety too.. My praise comes from the gentleman in Produce... He suggested I try the Cotton Candy grapes!!! I am totally hooked on them...I cannot wait to be in that area in 2015 to buy them again!!! read more

I have been a Raley's customer for years, primarily at their Rohnert Park location. However, I moved to Napa a couple of years ago and began shopping at this Raley's on Soscol Avenue. I've been very happy with their selection and customer service. Recently, I had the flu, so I tried their eCart service. It was really easy to create an account and then browse the website to select the items I needed. One item I ordered was not in stock, so I got a text informing me and suggesting a substitition. I arrived promptly at my pick up time, texted that I was outside, and a clerk came out in less than a minute with my groceries. I had already arranged payment via credit card. It was quick and easy. I just repeated the process today. I am still feeling too weak to do the actual grocery shopping. This is a great service and I might start shopping more by eCart, even when feeling better. It's super convenient. If you haven't used the eCart service, just so you know - pick up in located behind the store. read more

I went in today to see if they had a specific cereal I wanted, they did not but I did discover the overall quality of the store has dropped. They used to carry a wide selection of individual bottled sodas ranging from Japanese Ramune to Leninade, this is no longer the case. Overall it's your average grocery store on the south end of Napa, no real benefit to going there aside from convenience. read more

Kinda stinky inside like rotting fruit. Slow line and everyone was downcast. Like it was three in the morning and it was 8. The Stella was stacked next to a big oven for chicken. Ew. Warm beer. I felt each case and they were all very warm.We told the cashier about that he just kind of shrugged like it was no big deal and almost like he knew about it but he didn't really care. Stop in to this ralyes today to get a healthy lunch. I went in to there deli section and picked out one of there salads. I was going to get there sushi but they only had brown rice ones. I got there bbq salad for 5$. A nice young lady helped me out to check out and I was on my way. The salad was ok not the freshest but ive had worse and for 5$ it was pretty cheap for something healthy. It's a grocery store, I don't expect Nordstrom service and maybe the heat is making me grumpier then usual but...I asked the bagger "please don't pack the bags heavy, it's a problem for me." He agreed and I continued on with the check out process and out the door. When I try to load the groceries into the car, one bag is nearly impossible to lift from the cart, the next is heavy, but manageable and the last is pretty good. What bugs me is that I had at least eight useable bags and they not only crammed them into three heavy bags, but didn't even bag the wine, which proceeded to roll around the back of my car.
