New to the area, first time at this Ralphs. I'm glad I found everything I was looking for. Clean, nicely organized, food/fruits looked fresh. However, my bad experience was at the end while at check out. I came today 6/9/24 6:35 PM. The cashier was a young man he was sweet and efficient. The more older man "Kevin" was real rude. He didn't say hi back. And my son 2year old tried to talk to him 3 times. As he placed my bag in our cart my son asked him "is it mine?" Referring to the bag. And "Kevin" ignored him. My son asked 2 more times and he ignored him again. Until I told my son "it's okay baby he can't hear you" and then the cashier asked "how many bags?" Kevin responded "3" .. so he indeed heard my son, he just refused to acknowledge us and be kind in responding. Won't go back. I know it's not like they care if I do or not. But this is just a heads up for moms who go with their little ones. You might get bad service. read more

It's a pretty nice store for the most part but it's really overcrowded with items. It's a space that is probably too small for all of the inventory. Ironically, they were out of a lot organic produce tonight which is usually why I stop by. They have a good organic food selection in general most of the time. Their prices are also competitive when compared to places like Vons Pavilions. I'm a big fan of self checkout because I hate long lines so it's nice to be able to use that here. I am not sure if it's going to mske a difference but I had to share. I went there to get a money order and the cashier told me he was the only one who could give me one. I waited and I had to go and ask him how long more I had to wait and he responded very rudely and impatiently. The manager came to give me the money order and I told her about my bad experience with that cashier and her answer was that they were short staffed! When a manager justifies her employee's rude actions like this, I don't expect them to ve any better. Not going back there! read more

This store stays fairly busy whether it's during the week or weekend . No matter what day it is there only 2 checkout lines. It's normal to see a line extend to the freezers. The employees are helpful and friendly. I've never had an issue with one. Whenever I've needed help i always received it. The problem with this store is it's gross. Customers should pay very close attention to what they purchase . I've seen perishables laid out all around the store. I hope the employees discard them and not put them back in the refrigerator or freezer. I've found food open and eaten . Placed back on shelves and the freezer. I've found a half empty can of Red Bull, chips etc all over the store. I've seen a lot of brown meat still out. It's really disgusting at times. The prices are too high. I believe that's due to the constant theft . Hearing loss prevention scan the aisles is common. read more

Ralphs your price increases are becoming ridiculous, and time to speak up. As a long time Tustin Ranch resident you have always been our preferred shopping store venue since the mid to late 90's. But todays visit put me in head spin after seeing the latest increases in some of the regular items we buy. Your half cakes like "Vanilla Pudding Cake or Sock It To Me" that use to be $3.99 as of last week (even less before that) has now jumped to $4.99, thats a 25% increase overnight. Your Kroger brand Hot Dog and Hamburger Buns, now at $1.99, use to be $1.49. Boars Head Sweet Slice Ham, used to be $8.99lb now at $12.99lb and I could go on and on. Making smaller increases over time makes more sense vs just stuffing us with the higher prices as loyal shoppers that have supported you over the years. read more

I was waiting forever at the courtesy desk to cash in lottery tickets. An employee was there looking for something in a file cabinet and never acknowledged that I was there. He even looked right at me. Several other workers walked by but acted like I wasn't there. Finally after about 15 minutes a cashier asked if I'd been helped yet. She called for someone to help me. Yes, so many new faces and most staff are rude and couldn't be bothered. It is a very different experience now. I miss the old crew who will bend over backwards to help. I went there today and asked if I can get a rain check on a sale grocery item and was given an attitude and chastised in front of other customers. Cashier thought I wanted to be served first but all I wanted was for someone to check the back for more of the sale product. My neighborhood Ralph's in 6 years has never closed even a minute early. I work late and can't get to the store till late so I always depend on it being open. Tonight at 12:53am, 7 minutes before closing some new guy Asian with Glasses wouldn't even let my son get milk! Very disappointed. read more

The best Ralph's I've stepped inside. Always friendly and helpful service. They have sushi chefs that make rolls and sashimi. And they are pretty good too! Their service deli is beyond great. They always are attentive and generally give me a sample of what I order. They make sure they are giving you the freshest meat too. One of the guys looked at a roast behind the deli counter and then went to find a fresher one. Then their beer section is pretty damn good too. They are rotating in and out different beers and they bring in a fair amount of special reserve beers by some breweries. It's very hard for me not to go check out the beer section every time I step foot in the Ralph's. And that usually means that I end up buying a beer or two. The store's large, very clean, and well displayed. There's no trouble finding parking either. read more

We will never return to this store. We placed an order at the bakery for a cake and some cupcakes for our 1 year olds birthday a week prior. The day of the party (today) we received a call at 8:20 this morning from a man named Derek. He stated that his baker and backup baker called out so they could not fulfill our order. We then asked if he could contact their neighboring Ralph's locations to see if they could fill our order on a rush. He agreed and said he'd return our call shortly. During that time, my wife decided to call the Ralph's store on Katella in Orange on her own. She explained to them our situation. They were extremely sympathetic and agreed to help us out on a rush order as our order was very simple and that it would be ready by 10am. A few minutes after my wife hung up with the other location, Derek calls her back and says that no other location in the area has an on-site baker and can help us. Our only option, according to him was to purchase a premade product. My wife decided to test Derek by asking about the store on Katella. He said he called and they didn't have anyone to help us. My wife then asked when they'd have an available baker, he said at 11:30. She told him that our party was at noon and if they can prepare a cake for us by then or even 1-1:30. He said that they can't help us and that we can only purchase a pre-made product. My wife then informed Derek that she had already called the store on Orange and that they agreed to help us while being very sympathetic of our situation and that he was a liar. Derek didn't have anything to say other than "I'm sorry", but he was hung up on mid apology. Next contact will be to his manager and if he is the manager, it will be to the corporate office. read more

Tonight I stopped here for some soda and the minute I walked in some tweaked out couple ran by me.. ok no biggie but I shopped around and they said over the loudspeaker loss prevention, manger's and store staff scan all aisle... ok knew it wasn't for me but still... Went to self checkout and started to scan my items.. now Ralphs doesn't have scanner guns for heavier items so I put my twelve pack up and scanned it three times because it was the same soda and the employee flew over and told me to scan each one... I said I can't lift this anymore then I should and said they are all cokes... paid and got ready to leave.... This man followed me and as I got to the exit my cart stopped and I practically fell into my cart and I turned to the man and said what the heck why did my cart lock up and he shrugged his shoulders and straight up looked into my bag oh my! t cart I at that point was angry because another person walked out without their cart stopping I immediately asked for a manager because I was upset they tried to tell me it is a security system that causes the cart to lock up... I said you are lucky I didn't hurt myself because I wasn't expecting it Well two hours later I am in severe pain like whiplash from the cart stopped like that ... My back hurts from getting soda already but adding to it is this Talked to an employee outside who told me that it is a system to stop people from stealing cart fulls of groceries I mean I understand but I legitimately was in self checkout and it did this... This store sells expired cookies and other food products . This is the 2nd time I have come across this . See attached pics , my wife bought mini cookies from this store and didn't bother checking the expiry date . I casually happened to see it the next day and I see the cookies had an expiry date of 11-dec-2019 . Today is 11-august -2020 . Can you believe it? This is really a pathetic store and the manager and store keepers do not do a proper job of checking the expiry date . It's understandable if the expiry date is a few days old but keeping products 9 months after they have expired is just not unacceptable . This is worse than third world countries .i am posting this in the larger interest of other families who probably buy cookies for their kids. The most recent remodel of this location has really improved both the look and grocery selection in this Ralph's Fresh Fare. When they remodeled the store the first time a few years ago it seem like everything was kind of cramped it's pushed together the aisles are very difficult to navigate, partially because they didn't quite all line up. They also have very tall shelves so they're able to have a pretty wide selection of all the different brands in the various aisles. Also they have a very dairy section with more types of milk, yogurt, and nondairy milk-type products. There's also a nice bakery and deli section which are a bit easier to get to you as well as some really good cheese selection. read more

Bakery (with Top Pot donuts!), deli (hot & cold), sushi station, red box, lotto machine, Starbucks, good gourmet cheese section, the list goes on and on. This is all in addition to your standard market stuff. Really big booze section too. The service here is good. At the deli case, you can sample anything, including the slice meats and cheeses. Sometimes you have to wait a few, but it's never that bad. Everytime we order a cake from here we get lots of compliments too... just make sure you get whipped cream frosting. So much lighter than buttercream. This is my favorite market in the area, even though I pass by an Albertson's to get here. Tonight, even though it was pretty crowded, the checkout lines were short because they had most lanes open. They have self checkout too. read more

One of the managers, Zaida, saw two people at the manager's station and just kept looking at us from the self checkout area. This went on for a few minutes. She then called for the bag boy to help us even though he mentioned that he doesn't know how to do (customer 1 recycling, customer 2 lottery ticket). The bag boy was able to help customer 1 with her recycling, then resumed his normal duties. Zaida then stayed at self checkout, saw me in a bright green shirt, yet still ignored my presence. It wasn't until another employee flagged her to help with a customer. As she approached, I kindly tried to get her attention, but was dismissed and told by Zaida, "Wait". She was not professional when she saw me get irritated by her rude remark, so I asked for her name. She refused to tell me the first time, then the second time I asked she told me in front of other customers and employees "Just wait". That's when I pushed for her to give me her name, which she finally did. Why is it ok for your employees to be led by a supervisor/ manager who is blatantly rude and dismissive of customers, and shows those actions in front of everyone? Please contact me and you'll see how much we frequent and spend at your store. Her actions were not professional, nor were they acceptable for someone to be in her position, unless that's the image your company/ store tolerates and wishes to convey to everyone. I came here because I saw on the website that you had fancy feast wet cat food and a whole lot of variety. this will be my store for cat food for now becuase I like the variety....too bad I couldn't look for long before I was rudely interrupted by a customer. he just stood looking at me....not saying a word. This plaza is always packed, I guess this Ralph's is just really popular. I mean, it's a highly populated area, and this store is clean and spacious. My hubby came here to get keto ice cream, and he found that there were only two flavors left of the Rebel brand. Not bad, it's better than my local Ralph's, that doesn't have all the keto ice cream brands stocked at all times. read more

Very disappointing customer service. I called looking for a hard-to-find ingredient for a recipe. I was told to call back later because employees were too busy to help at the time. When I did so, an employee answered, listened to my request, set the phone down, and never returned. I tried yet a third time and no one even answered the phone. By way of comparison, I called five other grocers still looking for my ingredient and found an employee willing to help in every case. Bottom line: If customer service is important to you, I'd recommend Gelson's Markets, Pavilions, Mother's Markets, Sprouts Farmers Markets, or Bristol Farms, but certainly not Ralphs. read more

This review is for the check out grocer only. I checked out a bunch of perishables and fresh fruits.The grocer mindlessly placed 2 bags of delicate peaches in the bottom of my bag so they are got all bruised up. I found out as soon as I load the items in the car and moved them right away. The damage was done though. Also I brought my own bags and one of it is a cooler bag. She placed my non-perishables in the cooler bag and the dairy products in the regular cloth bag. The grocers at Trader Joe's would never do that. read more

This is a pretty impressive grocery store. It reminds me of a Pavillions or other upscale store. Not as pricey or fancy as Whole Foods, but a darn site better than the Albertson's down the street from me. They have some good specialty foods and a nice cheese bar. They also have a big olive bar. I doubt I will do a lot of my shopping here, but I will come in when I need something special or am in the area. read more

I feel so lucky that my 5 closest markets, Pavillions, Ralphs, Albertsons, Trader Joes and 99 ranch market all have sushi of some sort. So like many other grocery stores in the Southern Cal area, this Ralphs, has not one but 2 sushi "chefs" turning out rolls, shasimi, and various little Japanese treats at this "bar" within the store. I tried the spicy tuna wth brown rice cut roll, 10 pieces for $7.99. The roll was well prepared but the quality of the fish was marginal at best. They have lot's of other suff, spicy yellowtail, crruncy rolls, etc. For the price and convenience it was just fine but know where near as good as my local Albertsons( also featuring a sushi chef next to the meat|seafood counter). Bottom line is you can get your sushi fix and buy your groceries at the same place and same time. read more

Awesome Ralphs. They have everything you need & excellent service. I walked in a few days before Thanksgiving and were able to get all the items on my list. Also, when I needed some help, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was even a beer tasting in the spirits section! Not too shabby. Plenty of parking and plenty of aisles if you're shopping during the busy holiday time. read more

Omg someone from TUSTIN got 5 out of 6 right! Hope it's me! I was there buying groceries and got into the lotto line. Never bought lotto in these machines and the clerk was helping everyone. Had my daughter fill one out and instead of filling in the bubbles she circled them. Got to the front of the line and that ticket was declined. Clerk told me I can come to front of the line again which by now had wrapped halfway down the store. Since it was getting close to drawing time people were seriously getting frantic and started hovering all over the front of the lines. Finally filled out my last ticket again and stood at the front. Suddenly this older lady tried to punk me and tells me to stop cutting lol. I'm like wtf. Then her daughter with two kids hanging off her like monkeys jumps in and it's now 2 against one. They told me they had been there the whole time and I was cutting even though I was seriously like 4th in line before it turned into a 30 person lineup. Omgosh this was the last thing I needed. Didn't want this gross vibe going on right before I'm gonna be a billionaire ya know? So I called the manager and told her that I was at the front of the line and told her to check those women. She says "we don't own the lotto so there's nothing we can do." Are you serious? She literally allowed pandemonium to go down with the lines getting longer and tighter with all these vultures swarming over all the customers who were at the machines. So the two women continued to argue with me, all up in my face! even though I was being nice they continued to try to force me to the back of the line by yelling and harassing me. I got fed up, looked her straight in her eyes told her I ain't going no where and that they are the ones that need to get their asses to the back. I seriously had it and wouldn't have backed down if Shit went down over a lotto ticket lol. (Wouldn't that be graceful to see myself fighting in a grocery store, over lotto line? DO NOT buy any Broguiere's milk products from Ralphs. They do not give you the full CRV back. So when you buy any of their milk products, there is an extra $2.00 that is added to your total purchase price. This $2.00 is the CRV. Ok so when you go back to Ralph's and try to redeem your $2.00 back. they only give you 5 or 10 cents. Which means they pocket $1.90. Total ripoff artist. They are stealing this money from the consumer. So should you really need to buy Broguiere's milk, shop elsewhere. Other stores do honor the full $2.00 value. For example Albertson's and Pavilions, Gelson's, and Whole Foods. Pretty much every store but Ralphs. read more

Let me start with the good , The Sushi rolls! Yum. However this is about the corporate brand Kroger. You will see name brand right next to Kroger brand at 2 to 3 dollars higher . Don't let that fool you the quality of Kroger brand is awful that even my 7 yr old granddaughter said grandma these graham crackers aren't good! Her words . If you buy the lower cost Kroger brand you will be compromising quality. I have tried many Kroger items just so inferior. So I am looking for my new favorite grocery store .
