The food quality at The Ranch House is absolutely top-notch, and the customer service is just as impressive. Every dish we've tried has been well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The prices are higher than expected for a diner, but it's justified given the excellent food and service. So why only four stars? The standout issue is their credit and debit card surcharge policy. The Ranch House applies a 3.5% surcharge to credit and debit card transactions. While credit card surcharges are legal, charging a fee on debit cards is not, and they may be unknowingly violating these regulations. Beyond that, it's a tacky business practice. Seriously, most businesses factor those fees into product pricing. Will we keep returning? Absolutely, because the food and service are truly exceptional. But I do hope management reviews their payment policies so that I can stop deducting that fee from the server's tip. I know, that's tacky too. (shrugs) read more

I had been wanting to try this place since I drove by it a couple of months ago. I'm a huge French dip fan and had to try it. I got the French dip and fries to share. The meat tastes like pot roast mixed with brisket. It is tender and juicy. The melted Swiss tastes great as a complement to the whole sandwich. The au jus is also not very salty which is great and a refreshing experience. I'm a huge fry lover and the fries were all super soggy. They tasted good though yet very greasy. Maybe it was an off day for the fries (see pic)? I'd definitely come here again for another French dip or something else. read more

Was working in the area and my co-worker had eaten her before and said it was good, so I decided to give it a shot. I got the Denver omelette with bacon added to it with sourdough toast and French toast (at least that's what I thought). The omelette was so so, it had a weird after taste flavor, I can't explain it and the omelette was over cooked and dry. The omelette was fluffy, which I know there are different ways they can do that but it's not my style. It feels very airy and flavorless. I paid extra to have bacon added and it was more like essence of bacon. The omelette came with choice of toast and hash browns. I told the waitress sourdough toast and I asked the waitress if I could swap the hash browns for a piece of French toast, which she said I could for a slight up charge which I was fine with. When she brought the omelette I got the French toast and the hash browns. I was confused because I thought I had swapped the hash browns out for the French toast. When I asked the waitress she said "no, I could swap the toast not the hash browns." I asked my co-worker if that's what she understood and she even said that was confusing the way the waitress explained it. Instead of fixing it she stuck to her story and did nothing about it to fix it. I am disappointed in how the waitress handled it. The French toast was ok but the hash browns had no flavor. I wanted to like this place because it has a homey feel inside but I just can't recommend it because of the way the omelette tasted, the service and its kinda of pricey for the lack of quality in the food and taste. read more

Best of show!! A typical diner setting. We ate the Taylor spicy tortilla dish and the Loco moco with a side of biscuits and gravy. Their gravy's (both) are delicious, biscuits are worthy of writing home to grandma about fluffy heaven-scrumptious, and perfectly cooked over medium eggs. Finally a chef who knows how to cook. Good flavored coffee too. Quick friendly knowledgable service and quick refills. Definitely a place to stop for breakfast. The only problem is we waddled out of the restaurant. read more

I am extremely disappointed and alarmed by my recent experience. My entire order was incorrect, and more disturbingly, I received raw chicken. This is a serious health hazard and completely unacceptable. I will be filing a formal complaint with the health department regarding this issue. This level of negligence puts customers at risk and reflects a lack of basic food safety standards. A restaurant operating under such conditions should not be allowed to remain open. In addition, I will be contacting our credit card company to dispute this charge and report the situation.This experience was absolutely disgusting, and I intend to pursue all appropriate channels to ensure this is addressed immediately. Manager change! First time going there. Met the hostess and asked if there was a wait. She said no wait we could have a seat at a table. Went to it. Was there for 5 minutes then a rude man comes over stating to be a manager and rudely said we needed to move. I asked why? He said there was a list and rudely asked where our name was. I stated the host didn't take our name and just told us to go sit at that table. He was terrible and got aggressive. Even the hostess was trying to tell him we were in the right and he kept being a jerk. I asked him for owners name. Would not disclose nor his name. Tried to take his picture to which he started to get nasty because he knew he was in the wrong. Don't go here unless you want to be belittled and treated like trash. Not a good impression! I been wanting to go there for a long time as my family lives in Arcadia. Now I'm disappointed, I hope Mr. Cline see's this and reaches out. I have not been in to this place for YEARS! My previous experience was evidently not that great since when I say years, I must mean 6-8 (what is time anyway?). With that said, it was nice to see how far this place has come. It seems a bit bigger inside than I recall with outdoor patio seating available. We did have to wait a little while for the two of us to grab a seat but it was brunch on a Sunday and that should be expected. I had the chile relleno, an orange juice and a water. I was surprised that my orange juice came in the cup I'd have expected the water to come in. They definitely offer a reasonable size juice compared to other places. Now, onto the food. My expectations weren't too high, as I mentioned, based on my previous experience, but I am so glad I came back in because if my memory serves me correctly, they've added many items to their menu and they've come along way since my last visit. Prior to loading my dish up with added sauces and whatnot, I decided to take a taste. It was green Chile pork, pinto beans, Mexican rice, a few hash browns and eggs (however you'd like them). It was good. I didn't need to add anything at all, the flavor was there. The staff were friendly and attentive, attentive to the point that I wasn't convinced our server heard a request that was made and again, to my surprise, he did hear and met us as we needed. I may have to make my way back again and try some of the other items. It reminded me of a meal I'd eat with family away from home, like at my aunts house. It tasted homemade and for me, that's all I wanted for breakfast. read more

Tried this local spot because it's close plus I love supporting local owned spots. Service was good the food was ok. I had high expectations but it missed the mark. Not overly tasty the pancakes were dry and the sausage and eggs were just average the biscuit was not good at all the taste was not good and super dry. If it weren't for my friend who is kind of a foodie, I would have never known of this place. It is larger than it looks from the outside as it is located on the east side of Thomas and 56th Street. Parking can be a challenge up front and even in the back it can be tough during peak times. But all that is worth it once you get inside. It is nothing fancy but it is clean and the service is amazingly friendly. But it is the food that really makes this place stand out. They have some different variations worth trying out. Like I love chicken fried steak and while they do the traditional version with country gravy, I would suggest the Chile Verde version instead. There is a nice spice to it and it is something I have never seen before. You will not leave here hungry as our meal includes a choice of bread be it biscuits and gravy, toast, or tortillas. read more

It's his favorite restaurant, the employees are nice and friendly and it is always a nice experience. My daughter likes their French toast a lot and the lunch foods, I think because their French fries are pretty consistently good. Any half day they want to go there and get it after school.
