This place is our weekly must have and we absolutely love it. I would give this place a 5 star if it wasn't a hit or miss when it comes to customer service and also the time you have to wait for your food. They tell you 20 min but have to wait 15-20 more minuets once you get there. But at least the pizza is great! read more

4th or 5th time I have had pizza from here. It has always lacked sauce. On the second or third time, I tried to beat the system, by ordering extra sauce and extra cheese. I ended up with a lot of cheese sliding onto one side of the box (you know what I mean for take out. you need a very flat surface in your car...) This time, I ordered a specialty pizza (20bucks), the kickin hawiian, and a pepperoni pie. I was determined not to get a dry pizza, so I ordered just extra sauce. Both pizzas were painted by a coat of sauce so thin, that you could barely see it. Dryest pizza yet. The flavors are good, and the hawiian would have been really good, but I had to make up some pizza suace at home to dip the pizza in... dissappointing. On the good side, I have had to come up with creative dips and toppings to make the pizza not too dry. I ate some tonight (hawiian one day old), and I heated it for 10 minutes at 300, and drizzled a ranch sauce (ranch with garlic and hot sauce) over it, and it was pretty juicy. Maybe if you go to the restaurant and look them in the eye, and watch them putting the sauce on your pizza, you will have better luck. On the positive notes, my kids love the meatball sub, and I think that the greek salad is pretty good. It has a nice mix of feta, olives, cucs, peppericinis, lettuce..... I get it with the chicken which has always had pretty good flavor, and cooked so its still juicy. would have given 2.5 stars, but I guess I cant. 3 was too many, because of the extra dry pizza, over many attempts. read more

When I ordered my large pizza for pick up and was told that it it would be $30 I was a little shocked. But I'm pregnant and was craving a specific pizza and was willing to pay, but thought that I probably wouldn't get it again. Oh boy, was I wrong. The pizza was SO good. Fresh and full of flavor. I had not gotten pizza from Randy's for quite a while so I thought I would give it a shot - bad mistake. Pizza was dry with very little sauce. It had a bunch of bubbles and the edge of the slices were about 2 inches deep. This is not what I would expect from a $20 pizza. I saw another pizza being put in a box while I was waiting and it looked really good so they do know how to make a pizza but not all the time - check yours before you leave. read more

I ordered a pizza from the Randys on Davis Dr. In . It was the worst pizza I have ever had!!!!!!! I have had Randys pizza at all the other locations and its great Expecially the one in Durham on MLK! When I called to let them know that I wasn't satisfied the young lady said they didnt do anything different to the pizza and there want any thing she can do! I came here one day to eat with my coworkers. We came to this Randy's Pizza on accident actually- we were aiming for the location on South Miami, but hey, we were already here. Anyways, pizza slices are huge! If I ordered without the toppings, it would have been an okay lunch. However, they just threw raw tomatoes on top of one of my slices ... Literally why??? It added water onto my pizza and made the thin crust extremely soggy. The jalapenos were a little bit better, but still, they just threw it on top of the slice without much care. Randy's Pizza doesn't quite sound like an Italian place, unless Randy is short for a name like Randissimo. They send out coupons sometimes and I had one for 5 dollars off. The dough and toppings were slightly under cooked. The peppers were cut up in a big odd shaped wedge rather than slices. Fake black olives. Sorry, kalamata is the way to go if you are slinging a vegetarian pizza. Not the best and I will probably go to La Cucina next time. Unless I have another coupon. read more

We have been ordering take out from this location for several years and not sure why. The service or lack their of is always consistently poor. The people working their seem to have an attitude like they are the best pizza place in the world and we should all bow down when we come in and thank them for allowing us to eat there! The pizza is ok but certainly not worth the overly inflated price. The only reason they were selected tonight was due to Domino's not answering their phone, the app not working and really tired of Papa John's. Even after having a coupon for a free small cheese pizza we ended up paying $20. Normally we pay $30 or more when we don't have a coupon. After the not so friendly service they provide at each visit we probably won't be back. My wife asked a question why she was ringing so many different things into the register one guy looked up like how dare you question what we are doing. Almost forgot we should have been thankful we were allowed to cross the threshold and purchase their pizza. read more

I like that this is the closes taste to NY pizza I have found. However, the cost for a pie has gone up so significantly, that I don't go here as often anymore. I know Covid hurt a lot of businesses, but people are being affected as well. I ordered to go last night, a 16" Don Vito, and a 18" half pepperoni, half regular cheese. I waited about 20 minutes, and got the Don Vito, but the half cheese / half pepperoni was all pepperoni, they offered to make it correct if I was willing to wait another 20 minutes! I was coming straight from a eight-hour shift at work and was not interested in anything other than going home at the time. I did what I never do, I took the mistake made home after speaking to the cashier who takes the orders for not listening to the order. Especially with the new prices of their pizza. Have been going here for a while because the pizza is good, but Randy's on Davis Drive has TERRIBLE customer service. A week ago, they forgot part of the order. This week, the lady at the cash register and the shorter guy with glasses were extremely rude. They didn't want to split up a three-way order and were visibly angry about it. I have had pizza all over the world and the many styles are much like wine, very different but great in their own way. Some people like the classic italian, some, crispy thin crust, and some love their Chicago deep dish. I have had them all, even some that you would never think of ordering and one from my italian friend's mom that was to this day, the bar of what I set on pizza. Of all of them, I think NY style is my favorite. I remember my first Randy's experience, in Durham, at their MLK pkwy store back in the mid 90's. I loved it then and I love it now. I now hang out in Morrisville and whenever I want pizza, I go to Randy's. It is by far the best pizza in Morrisville and in my top 3 in the entire triangle, with Brixx in Chapel Hill and IP3 ( Italian Pizzeria III) in Chapel Hill as well. The crust is great and perfectly foldable, the cheese tastes fresh, and the toppings are always the correct consistency for what they are, never over-cooked. They also have subs, calzones, and other pizzeria stuff, all great. I think that if you are looking for real pizza in Morrisville or Durham ( 2 locations in Durham) Randy's is the only choice. If you are happy with Papa Johns and stuff like that, I feel sorry for your taste buds. read more

Great calzones! I get mine without the ham, add spinach. Tasty!! They're good-sized with flavorful marinara dipping sauce. They got the wrong topping once, but usually get it right! The salads are tasty, but a bit overpriced for what you get. Garlic knots are good, but come swimming in buttery sauce. Delivery can be a bit slow, so we usually get carry-out. Not a big deal, as the location is very convenient to where we live! I've not tried the pizza much, so I can't speak to its quality. read more

Worst. Experience. Ever. I've been a fan of Randy's since I moved here in 2012. Started at Alexander Place location...migrated to the location on Miami Blvd. Love both places. The location on Davis? My 1st time in there will be my last. I waited 40 minutes for my 10 - 15 minute order. 6 knots and a medium Supreme. Granted, a Friday night at 6pm is gonna be slammed. The two young ladies I spoke with were professional. When I asked about my order since it had been 40 minutes AND other to go orders had come and gone, she asked a short / older man making pizza about the order. "It's not the only damn pizza I'm making here!" was his biting reply. I waited for another few minutes before I decided I'd rather eat a frozen pizza from the grocery than watch him be a bully, watch the ladies avoid eye contact with both him and me, and watch the other customers look around for the cause of the commotion. I left hungry, angry at the guy with the attitude, and sorry that the ladies had to deal with his crap attitude. I hope my food did not taste too bitter because that's how it was made. read more

Old School Cool Randy's makes a "traditional" New York style pizza, the kind that used to be the only type available in every town across America. There has been a proliferation of pizza styles. And I find it ironic that it takes effort to find a traditional slice in Morrisville. Look no further. Randy's pizza is hand-tossed white dough covered with a good marinara sauce, coated with real cheese, and perhaps a few fresh ingredients. Simple, fresh, cheap, and good. Randy's pizzas are big. So one slice is plenty for lunch, with the tips and corners flopping over a paper plate. Their crusts are traditional thin Sicilian/New York style. So you're going to have more satisfying sauce and goodies and less bread. But it is so thin that you are going to have to go old-school with it - usually taco-ing it into your mouth so you don't make a mess. Randy's crust is high-gluten - which means nice and chewy. This probably contributes to their crust being "firm" rather than crisp. And their pizzas are inexpensive - $3.49 for a one-topping slice. Base prices are $11.75 for a 14", $13.75 for a 16", and $15.75 for a 18", plus $1.50-2.75 per topping. If you do the math, it costs about the same per square inch - so just get what you need. They also have a 30" party pizza. Sure, they have salads, subs, wings, desserts, and pasta dinners. But don't kid yourself - your here for pizza. Look everyone is going to have their favorite style of pizza and Randy's is something specific. But those seeking traditional no-nonsense cheapo pizza should love Randy's. read more

I love this place. It is as close to NYC pizza as I have gotten in RTP. The crust is crispy with that yeast sweetness you get from good hand tossed pizza. The slices are huge and tasty. I usually get one pepperoni and one sausage slice. That with sweet tea is about $8. That is a bargain for the cost of a burger sack. The service is not the greatest when they are busy. I try to get there early because they get a little overwhelmed around noon. Even then though, they are reasonably quick. Just not as chatty as they are at 1130. read more

Love, love this pizza! Having lived for three years in Connecticut I did not expect to find anything to match NY pizza, but this lives up to my heightened pizza standards! Crust is so soft and tasty. Beware if you get pizza by the slices because the slices are huge! Also weird thing, there is one Randy's Pizza in the Triangle that appears to be completely unrelated to all the others (separate website). Best pizza we found since moving from New York. The only thing I've ordered that I wouldn't order again was their Sicilian pie. Regular pizza delicious just wish u could customize a calzone or Stromboli on door dash. Maybe the only place we order a two liter of soda from and they actually deliver it I know that seems silly but it makes a difference. i recently had my first delivery from this Randy's location after having eaten inside the restaurant a number of times. Placing the order was actually a pleasure, unlike most delivery orders I've placed at various establishments. Usually it's either a rushed, monotone "name...phone number...whaddya want?" but not with Randy's. The voice on the other end of the phone was very helpful in answering my questions about delivery area and whether we could use a certain coupon, and even informed me that delivery orders ended in about 15 minutes so he didn't mind holding while we shored up what we wanted, Once the order was placed, the delivery time was a little longer than the other pizza places in the area, but not terrible. All in all, it took around 50 minutes to be delivered (other local places I've tried usually run about 30-45). The driver was polite and the pizza was fresh, hot, and delicious. read more

This Randy's Pizza location is not my favorite. The prices are a little higher here and the food isn't quite as good. Randy's delivers - a plus for those of us that have to study from the time they walk in the door from class until time for bed. The food is MUCH better than big-name franchises. I LOVE Randy's onion rings...sure, they probably aren't homemade, but I have never been disappointed. I like the Chicken Parmesan and Baked Ziti. The Ham & Cheese Sub is pretty good as well. I think, perhaps, that I am just not a New York City pizza kind of girl. Keep that in mind as you read this review. My boyfriend was dying to go to Randy's so we went. He comes to this location often for lunch and provided me with his experiences as well. First, I read previous reviews about the bad service. We had great service. Very prompt and friendly. Boyfriend said that when he comes in for lunch he always gets friendly service. I found the pizza to be just OK. We ordered a large. It all had extra cheese and then we did half pepperoni and half with jalapenos. My boyfriend loved his pepperoni half. We both agreed that there were far too many jalapenos on mine making it overly spicy. For one soda (boyfriend had water), a side salad, and a large pizza the bill came to around 35.00. I know the pizzas are huge, but I seriously felt ripped off. The salad was about what you would expect. Just some mediocre lettuce with croutons and grated cheese. Nothing special. I kinda expected that when I ordered it, but I was starving and wanted something fast. I'm not interested in going here again. It's just not my thing.
