Went there for the first time yesterday after years of driving by. Got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and broccoli, the deluxe authentic pizza, and the cheesesteak deluxe. Let me tell you, everything was so delicious! All the ingredients in every dish were so fresh and hot! My parents usually get pizza from another place, but after last night, they said this is their new pizza spot! If there's one thing I can't stand about a restaurant it's inconsistency. First time I ordered a pizza from here it was great: thin, crispy crust; mild, herbaceous sauce; and a layer of stretchy, delicate cheese. It was everything I want in a pie. Tonight, thicker, dough-ier crust just like every Richmond pizza joint; a sauce that was somehow both sweet and too acidic; and the cheese...somehow reminded me of my tires. My problem in a nutshell here is if I order again which pie will I get? I don't want to play that game. No thank you. read more

Another new find near my new place and I'm happy I stopped in. They have a good variety of pizzas and, of course, you can design your own. They also sell a pretty good spread of appetizers including some that aren't as common. I never knew I liked toasted ravioli until I tried them at Rapid. Just be careful of the molten cheese on that first bite. I'm also a fan of inexpensive beer in a restaurant. A mug of Yeungling for $2.50 is about as good as it gets, and a great accompaniment to any pizza. For my first visit, I ordered their Deluxe Authentic Pizza, which is known as a Combo, Special, Tony's Special and many other names across the pizza universe. It's simply the best pizza to test a place. Put pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms on a pizza and hope for a crispy crust and a burst of flavors over a foundation of a good sauce and cheese. My only issue with this first pizza order from Rapid is the vegetables tasted like they were just put on in the last 2 minutes of cooking, so the peppers were crunchy and the onions hadn't begun to soften yet. I don't mind the flavors of these ingredients so it wasn't a big deal, but the flavors soften as they cook and it makes for a better overall pizza, in my opinion. I'll give it another try because everything else was a good experience, including the friendliness and good service. It looks like they also deliver so maybe those veges would do better in a delivery box for the 10 minute ride to my place. read more

Yet again another 5 stars. Late night girlfriend and I were tired didnt want to cook. Called rapid pizza and the guy Z who normally delivers answered and was super helpful with helping me order. Pizza and mozzarella sticks were ordered for a great price. When I came in to pay Z was at the register and he's a professional all around whether delivering or running the register. Owner was super nice and the food was yet again top notch. Rapid pizza came in on the clutch for me and my woman. Thank yall won't get pizza anywhere else 100% read more

Ordered a pizza to go and was impressed! Customer service was good, and the pizza very good! Got a breakfast pizza (eggs, cheese, bacon ) and added broccoli (i was excited they even offered broccoli) and it was unique and tasty! Excellent and fast. The only bad thing is that I asked for NO tomatoes on my cheesteak and got them anyway. I would still order again and the same thing- cheesteak and the tortellini bites as an appetizer. Great, local family-owned small business establishment here in Glen Allen/RVA. They have a huge menu that is sure to have something even for the pickiest of eaters. They offer gift certificates, have "rapid" delivery, friendly service, and they're Tiramisu is delicious! (Better than Hondos, Olive Garden, Maggianos, and other local italian joints... seriously.) My only thing would be for anyone who is allergic to foods to ask before ordering for ingredients list, etc... I am unable to eat at certain restaurants because of the dough or yeast or certain ingredients in the marinara... Nothing major but not all small Italian eateries are created equal. read more

First time customers. Had a 10 inch (which was plenty for two). It was reasonably priced and the crust was excellent. The toppings were good, but not outstanding. The sauce tasted a little too sweet, but it might have been because pineapple was one of our toppings. Somehow, by the end it got kind of soggy. The service was great. One thing that impressed me was that there were no fountain sodas, so they served twenty ounce bottled sodas, but instead of charging the usual $2.50, they cost just $1.29 each. Great value. In town for one night and was too tired to find a place to eat, so we found Rapid Pizza online with decent reviews. Placed the order, and although it said that it would be 60-70 min. before delivery, we received our order in 35 minutes (delivery guy was friendly and courteous)! The food was very hot, pepperoni roll was pretty good -- crispy and very cheesy (but almost to a fault). It was still very tasty, but there could have been a bit more dough and a little less cheese. The stuffed shells were very tasty too (a bit heavy on the cheese also) - came with garlic rolls and a side salad -- a good value at $9.99. Will definitely order from here again next time I come thru this area! read more

Robert are you an employee of this restaurant? Looking at your other reviews I would expect an employee to defend their employer. Did you take my order or my call to complain? Had I been told an hour and 20 minutes I would have come picked my order up as I have done in the past. And the lady I spoke to said she'd talk to the driver and call me back. As if now no return call. She never offered to take care of me on my next order. We all make mistakes don't get me wrong but if the delivery time was delayed a call to let us know would go a long way. They make microwaves for cold food but the poor customer service when I called is not good. Oh and maybe if the drivers had warming back and not an old produce box to deliver stuff with this would have never happened. read more

We were driving on 95 (and had been for 12 hours!) and just couldn't make it another 2 hours home without eating. Saw there was construction ahead, so looked for a place where we could stop and eat and get gas. I didn't want to prolong our trip with a sit down restaurant, and my husband didn't want to eat fast food. So glad we found this gem!! Stopped by this pizza place after being out and about today. Ordered the appetizer sampler, large pepperoni and green pepper pizza, and a signature sub with provolone instead of mozzarella. Edit: posted business hours are open until 11 pm but we showed up just before 10 pm and there was 3 groups of people that were turned down. They shut the sign off and locked the doors. What a horrible business practice. It's good pizza, if you get them to honor there business hours. If your gonna go late I'd call to make sure there open or if they are gonna close early. read more
