This Place Doesn't Serve You -- It Exploits You This photo says it all. The drink I received was already overflowing with heavy cream and syrup. I had to force the lid on myself -- because they don't do that for you -- and it spilled instantly. Sticky mess before I even had a chance to drink it. And once I did? It was mostly sugar and cream. You'd never know there were two shots of espresso in it -- the coffee flavor was completely lost. They also pack the cup full of ice to the top, leaving barely any room for the actual drink. When I asked for less ice, the cup came back half full -- which made it obvious how little product you're really paying for. To me, this shows the focus is on maximizing profit, not customer satisfaction. What really concerns me is the total lack of transparency. There's no visible calorie or nutrition info anywhere. Given how heavy and sweet these drinks are, it's reasonable to assume they're well over 1,000 calories -- but customers are left guessing. In my opinion, places like this are part of the reason health problems like obesity are so common: high-calorie drinks disguised as something fun and casual, sold without clear disclosure. The staff experience didn't help either -- no greeting, no effort, just hand off the drink to the counter and move to the next order. It felt robotic and impersonal. Overall, this place seems built for photos, not for real customers. The drinks look nice but are impractical, overly sweet, and poorly assembled. Between the mess, the mystery ingredients, the excessive ice, and the lack of genuine service, I absolutely would not recommend this place. Loved their Peanut Cream Top! I love peanut butter so I decided to try this drink and it did not disappoint. My friend also tried this drink before and recommended it. The coffee was strong and I enjoyed the creaminess of the peanut cream and whipped cream on top. The peanut flavor wasn't overpowering, and was well-balanced where I could still taste the coffee. I had tried this place at a Yelp Event once before but it was more of a sample. Recently, I took my grandma to the podiatrist, only to find that this place is nearby! So of course I had to try the full version. They have coffee and tea drinks, but they are most popular for their signature drinks: Einspanner lattes and their cream tops. Everyone was walking out with a matcha. There was definitely a line when I arrived so I did have to wait in line but it moved pretty fast. I opted for the an Iced Matcha Einspanner latte, and an iced Matcha Pistachio Latte for my mom. They made the drinks pretty quickly despite the number of people there. There was some seating inside but it was all taken. I parked in the parking lot next to it, but there were signs that said it wasn't for their business, but since I was just picking up, I risked it. I think they do have their own parking in the back. I think this a great location considering the university is nearby. That being said, I can see how it gets busy with all the students. The Matcha Einspanner was good. I think I will opt for the regular matcha next time. My mom really enjoyed her Pistachio Matcha. I had a sip of it and I do think it was better than the Matcha Einspanner. Of course its all preference, they were both good drinks, I just enjoyed the nuttiness of the pistachio a little more. FYI - I'm not a matcha connoisseur; this is a review of a matcha plebe who visited back in April but left this review in drafts =.= Would I come back? No, not really. None of the drinks I ordered personally did it for me, which sucks cause I was really excited to have a go-to Matcha place in the valley.  -- Service: 4/5 The staff is okay. From what I have experienced, they are not overly lovely or friendly; they are a no-frills take your order and next (and not in a rude way, just in a nonpersonable way if that makes sense - I've been here both busy and not). The first time I was here, the line was out the door, but it moved steadily. The wait in the line is longer than the wait for your drinks. My sister and I waited only 5ish minutes for our drinks, so it wasn't too long. Space/Ambience: 4/5. It's a small space with a few chairs, tables, and outlets. Instead, it tasted really bitter, like an unripe lemon or lime.  Berry Mojito Lemonade: 0/5 Do not recommend. It tastes like a sour, bitter cough syrup. Cough syrup is actually sweeter than this drink. The bitter taste lingers and makes me want to eat a sugar cube, but I don't think adding sweetener would help. The taste of the bitterness is similar to eating bitter melon, so if you don't like bitter melon, do not order this or the Juju green tangerine ade. Save yourself $5.5 Matcha Einspenner: 3/5 I got one agave and one vanilla, and I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you which one is which in a blind taste test since the vanilla or agave is barely there, but it does have a strong matcha taste. If you like the taste of matcha with no sweetness, then you'd like this. Personally, I want my matcha drinks to be "Asian sweet," so adding sweetener would make this better for those who have similar taste buds. The creme foam is thick and probably 1/3 of the drink, so take two lactaids if you're lactose intolerant.  Lavender Matcha Latte: 3/5 At first glance, you wouldn't be able to tell this was a lavender matcha latte if it didn't have the little lavender sprig they put on top. The lavender taste is at first light, but then the spiciness kicks in. There is no sweetener in this either. My sister prefers the one from Starbucks for the flavor and the price point. read more

This place is really cute and I love the presentation. I think if a few things were changed it could be even better. When I walked in I couldn't find the menu. Then i realized it was on a clipboard on the counter. I only saw one and the person ahead of me was looking at it. So the line goes a lot slower because people don't know what they want before they get to the counter, unless your a regular and know what you want. Because of the no menu thing on the wall, I thought this lady cut in front of my mom and I just to look at the menu. Well she was actually cutting us in line as well. So it just made me mad. It all could have been prevented if they had a sign on the wall. I ordered three drinks. I like coffee flavor with a sweetness to it. I really liked the Carmel drink because it was sweeter. The other two just seemed to have a lot of milk with not much flavor. So I wouldn't order those ones again. Thank goodness for kind people. The next customer that came in restored my faith in humanity and was so sweet. And she told us about a frequent flyer card. So I then went back to the employees and asked to get the punch card. Very aesthetic and tasty cream top drinks! Came here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and the line was pretty long but it moved quickly. The inside has a minimalist vibe and has some tables and chairs to hang out. It was pretty loud inside since it was so crowded, but I did see some people studying but more people just chilling and talking. We ordered some of their signature drinks - Pistachio Cream Top Latte, Matcha Einspanner, Strawberry Einspanner, and Einspanner Latte. They were all reasonably priced, around $6.50 each. All the drinks were so good! The cream tops are a little different on each, but they went well with the drinks. The Matcha Einspanner did have a thicker cream, but when the drink was mixed more, it tasted much better. They also have some pastries if you want something to snack on. I've been on a bit of an Einspanner tour, and will stop at any and every shop serving it! Re Coffee made the top of the list! This cozy little Northridge gem has some of the best coffee and matcha in the area. The minimalist vibe and soft lighting are the perfect backdrop for a caffeine fix. The service here is stellar. The baristas really take their time to craft each drink with care. I especially love that they offer clean nut milk brands like Elmhurst. I ordered the pistachio cream top, no sweetener, and it hit the spot! Their drink menu is super unique, and I'm always excited to try something new. I've never been lucky enough to try any of their pastries because they're always sold out by the time I get there (which says a lot) but they look INSANE. Mi second time here. The flavor of the coffee and the matcha is really good you can tell they know what they're doing. Coffee definitely seems to be their strong point. However, the price feels a bit high for the size of the drink. Also, if you switch the type of milk, they charge about an extra dollar, which adds up. Finally tried this spot and tbh it didn't really live up to the hype but I'll come back and try another flavor of coffee and a pastry when I'm craving one. I got the popular vanilla latte the Einspanner. Either you get the Aguave flavor or Vanilla flavor but the guy was nice enough to do half and half since he saw I wasn't aware of that, kind of looks confusing on the menu. So how was the iced latte? It's really just about the foam because the rest of the coffee just tasted average, nothing special. I am glad though it wasn't as sweet as it looks, however, it could've been more flavorful. It can be flavorful without being overpowering in the sweetness. The pastries didn't look so appetizing but you never know. I just wasn't craving one nor did they entice me so I skipped it but next time I'll try one and I'll try the Pistachio Latte since it seems to be another popular item. The wait wasn't bad btw-the line moved quickly. Service was friendly and prompt. Didn't get to try the pastries but they look delicious with various options. I was drawn to this coffee shop since they had einspanner latte and matcha einspanner- both sweet, creamy and delicious! I got both with oat milk. Service was mid, straight forward questions with no smile. We got an iced cortado (burnt), the matcha espnssar, and the pistachio latte. Pistachio latte didn't have much flavor, the foam was room temp, not cold at all so that was a first. The matcha one tasted old, and it had no flavor even after asking for agave syrup. Came in at 9:30 am and ordered a matcha. No milk, no sweetener, just an iced matcha. Matchacano is how the lovely girl rang up my order. I was waiting, then the barista calls my order, and explains to me that he can't do just matcha and water. "Because the boss is watching through the cameras and she doesn't want us to make this drink because she doesn't have a recipe for it yet" I get it. But don't let me pay for a matchacano and then force me and tell me that you have to put milk in it because your boss is watching. I found it beyond odd to not stop me from ordering it and even having it in the system but then telling me you're forced to put milk in it. I ordered an iced matcha. Matcha, water, ice. They could do some adjustments to this based on my experience. This is a coffee shop, not a bank. No need to be watching your employees like a hawk. I've tried this place several times and love their esipanner lattes and pastry's. They barista's are quick and friendly. The esipanner latte was delicious, and the biscoff pastry with a biscoff hazelnut spread inside was to die for. I've returned several times for that, and to try the eispanner matcha latte. The matcha was ver good, and they added a swirl of it on the cold foam on top. They have about 20 seats inside with small little coffee tables. My new favorite coffee spot! I loved the pistachio cream top. The flavor was balanced very well with a bit of bitterness mixed with sweetness. As well, the thick cream was so delicious.
