Just picked up my 94 GT mustang from Real Speed and I could not be more happy with Dan and the boys at the shop. Let's just say it's very refreshing to find a shop that took the time to get my car setup right. After coming from Mustang Magic, where I spent a good amount of money for upper, lower intake, long tube headers, injectors, heads, a cam and Mass Air, and a tune my car was running awful. The car would constantly stall out and have a hard time idling. I was actually shocked that they let this car leave the shop in the condition it was in. I was very disappointed to have spent that kind of money and have a car that was barely working. I brought my car to Real Speed to get this car working properly so I can make it an everyday driver. It took about 3 weeks to get an appointment and it was well worth the wait! Dan took the time to meticulously go over my car and right off the bat he was able to diagnose problems that were a result from the lack of professionalism from the previous shop. He replaced and O2 sensor that went bad because it was not properly jumped correctly and put a serious tune on this car. I picked up the car yesterday and it is like a whole new ride. The car drives a million times better. Although the shop was a bit pricey for the tune it was worth every penny. Guys it's like everything else in life,you get what you pay for! I have brought my car to Rob and Dan for the past six years or so. I almost always deal directly with Rob and have only worked with Dan the few times I have had my car dyno tuned. I have to say that I couldn't give these guys enough of a gold star. They do amazing work, and they are consummate professionals. I have had everything done to my car from simple modifications to serious suspension work, and most recently - the installation of an intercooled supercharger, new fuel system, gauges, and all associated components. These guys treat my car like it is made of gold, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I tend to send a bunch of emails or even drop by at random to inquire about modifications before deciding to do anything. These guys take time out of their day to explain everything to me, and have even convinced me that I do not need to get certain componants because they will be a waste of money and will not get my car to where I want it. I have been to other race shops on Long Island before coming here, and have found that other shops will let you waste money on parts you don't need because they will profit from it. The guys at Real Speed are more concerned with making your car what you want it to be, and not just getting you to buy stuff - and that is worth its weight in gold. I have a 2004 cobra that Dan tuned for me 2017. I explained to Dan that I live in NY, and while I would love to make good power, I need the car to pass NYS inspection every year. Dan guaranteed that my 04 Cobra would be reliable, make good power, and pass inspection every year. Dan told me because he is located in NY ALL of his tunes are guaranteed to pass NYS inspections. After taking a day off of work, spending 11 hours at his shop, over $1,000 for the day, and another $200 in misc parts, my car sits in my garage with no registration OR inspection because my " Guaranteed to pass NYS inspection tune" is a dud. In the beginning Dan returned 2 of my calls, and 2 e-mails. Now I don't get any replies or returned calls. NOTHING was offered to help, not a retune, not a refund, absolutely nothing! If you enjoy your Mustang,and need it to pass inspection, DO NOT go to Realspeed. Spend your time, and money elsewhere!! read more

Made an appointment for a wheel alignment on my 1300 mile Dodge challenger Redeye. They come poorly aligned from the factory. I arrived at 8:50am. I was taken right in and waited approximately 40 minutes in there clean comfortable waiting area. The tech brought out a computerized before and after alignment spec sheet and not to my surprise it was quite a bit off. I was charged a very reasonable amount, given a nice tee shirt, stickers and air fresheners. I can't say enough good things about the quality of work and professional service I received and my time was not wasted. My car rides more sure footed and the weird floaty front end feeling is gone. I have been to realspeed for over 4 years, they have never left me unsatisfied. I believe there prices are more then reasonable for the service you receive. Dan an Rob are great people they always try to help me make the best decisions for my build. I have had my car supercharged and dyno tuned, exhaust work done an also have had my suspension worked on. Recently I have had them work on my transmission an install a stage 2 clutch kit. You CAN trust Real Speed with your car. If you have a Fox body Mustang, ask for Rob. He has extensive knowledge when it comes to cars, but especially with the Fox platform. I have a '92 GT, and Real Speed has done superior work. Dan explained to me some of the parts I wanted installed are not worth the money with the particular setup I have. He could've easy installed the parts and taken my money, but he didn't. Dan an his team at realspeed had setup an installed a new differential along with new rear gear for my 2012 mustang. the install was done in a timely mannor an the car drove great afterwards. Dan has also been tuning my car since 2013 from basic bolt ons to current times with cams an forced induction.
