I love their Bento Boxes. Nice semi-healthy lunch. I alway get the Teriyaki Chicken. It comes with a nice size white meat chicken, steamed white rice and steamed veggies of carrots, zucchini and broccoli with the Teriyaki sauce....

I'm really conflicted about my thoughts on this place. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars but rounded up simply due to the price. Firstly, the rolls are very small. I purchased three and am satiated after consuming them, but I was moderately surprised at the sized (moderately because the price explained it). The rice was cooked decently, albeit lacking a bit of flavor. As for what I ordered - I would not order the Infiniti Roll again. It was doused in too much eel sauce, and normally I wouldn't mind too much but the eel sauce tasted burnt. I would also not order the spicy yellowtail roll again as it was a bit bland.

I'm not too sure what I expected with this roll, as the flavor and texture strongly resembled that of spicy tuna. Overall, I'd likely come back. The food that I've had was not incredible, but it wasn't terrible.

We ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail and the shrimp tempura. I saw it sitting on the bar trip ready to be brought over for more than 5 minutes. While it was busy, there were 3 servers who walked by it and had...

nothing in there hands and didn't end up going to a table to do anything so I was pretty disappointed in the service. If the service had been lacking but the sushi good, I could have still given this 4 stars but wow the sushi was questionable to say the least. The spring rolls we ordered were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. Overall, I will not beg coming back. I'd rather pay double and have delicious sushi and great service at Fontana up the street.

In the Bento box is also a small side salad, typical garden salad variety with a delicious dressing and two california rolls. I do wish you could choose a different kind of sushi roll with the meal instead of the California rolls....

Stopped by for a midday snack. We had shrimp tempura and spring rolls. The food was quite good so we ordered some sushi rolls. Their sushi is top shelf! I had a Sapporo. Our server was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Handicap accessible with a parking lot in the back. We order from Red Ginger often at work. I love their Bento Boxes. Nice semi-healthy lunch. I alway get the Teriyaki Chicken. It comes with a nice size white meat chicken, steamed white rice and steamed veggies of carrots, zucchini and broccoli with the Teriyaki sauce. Sometimes they even provide us with extra sauce. It is accompanied by tempura assorted veggies to dip in a sauce. Although sometimes it isn't much of an assortment. Last time I only received sweet potatoes. Still good. I love the tempura veggies. In the Bento box is also a small side salad, typical garden salad variety with a delicious dressing and two california rolls. I do wish you could choose a different kind of sushi roll with the meal instead of the California rolls. This is a great restaurant for large group catering. It always comes on time and the food is warm. I have never had any issues ordering from them.

Red Ginger was a great find, with great prices! It wasn't busy on this particular Saturday. We arrived about noon & we're seated promptly. Our server was friendly however the service was a little slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was decorated with Japanese paper umbrellas & lanterns hanging from the ceiling, it had a nice vibe, cool lighting & paint color too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were three sushi chefs preparing meals in the open, surrounded by a bar with customer seating. There were also tables and half booths to choose from as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered one California Roll, one Shrimp Tempura Roll & an order of Cream Cheese Wontons. The front of the menu advertised Sushi Rolls 30% off, but on the restaurant window & on the paper order form it advertised 40% off rolls - it's 40% off. The rolls were nicely displayed with an orchid flower on a long platter. The size of the rolls were small but you still got eight pieces. The California Roll pieces kept falling apart - they were not as filled as I would expect, & it needed more seasoning. The Shrimp Tempura Roll had a lot of flavor & were very good. Gosh, you can't beat the price tho, $5.39 each! The wontons were wonderful, very crispy & creamy on the inside. The sweet & sour dipping sauce had good flavor but was thin. All in all a good lunch. I'll return to try out more of the 40% off sushi rolls!

The prices are a bit less -- not sure if or how long that might change. Small place inside and if they do anything at all, they need to stop having SO many menus!! They handed us 3 physical menus. One in color with pictures and two in black and white. Prices vary between them both higher and lower. Looking around the place, there were 3 more signs with more menu "special" items. They need to stop with the menus. It's so damn messy, unorganized, and they need to streamline communication to their customers. No one wants to get a headache trying to figure out 6 menus. The server was very hands off about explaining the various menus and even said "I just work here" -- yeah you do work there, exactly!! Learn how to answer questions, paid employee who wants me to give her my money in the form of tips. I had to work for my dollars why do some servers think they don't have to work for theirs? The rolls were fine. I didn't like their naruto roll very much (wrapped in cucumber). It's just overload there and too much going on for such a tiny spot. The need to organize and clean it up. The scallion pancakes were a bit oily but really tasty for something so simple.

This was the best tasting and the most creative, aesthetically pleasing sushi I have ever had. Our server was so sweet and nice. All of the restaurant staff was so friendly! Nothing will ever beat the prices! Amazing prices with high quality food, extremely hard to find but Red Ginger has done it. The miso soup is the only miso soup I have ever had at a restaurant that tastes exactly the way my (Asian) mom would make. The house salad was perfection, the best type of ginger dressing that exists. We had tons of sushi, which was out of this world. My friend had chicken hibachi which she loved. Next time I'm in Denver I will be coming back!! Will be thinking about this sushi for a while!

Red Ginger is within walking distance from our condo in Denver so we decided to give them a try. I'll start by saying we're very dedicated sushi connoisseurs. I don't mind paying top dollar for high quality sashimi/sushi. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and Red Ginger is no exception. Super low prices = super small rolls and lower grade sashimi/sushi. Don't expect top quality sushi @ a low price. Spring rolls and presentation were good although, service was slow with only two tables. Red Ginger isn't for me, but possibly a great price range for many.

What can I say other than it got the job done for sushi? I was craving sushi on a Sunday afternoon downtown. I wasn't surprised to see that a lot of sushi places are closed on Sundays around downtown. Thankfully Red Ginger wasn't too far out and was an easy bike ride to get to. They advertise that their sushi is half off... but it's always half off! The rolls are smaller than your normal size roll that you would get from another sushi place. This works out to my advantage because I can usually only eat 1.5 rolls and end up wasting half a roll. I can easily eat 2 here. I got the in house specialty roll and the rainbow roll. I could have done without the rainbow roll. Not a lot of flavor. The Red Ginger specialty roll was pretty good. IT was tasty and crunchy. This place isn't over the top amazing but its pretty good when you got the craving for sushi. read more

I love this place for cheap sushi on the run! Everything is always 50% off and although the rolls are pretty small it definitely doesn't break the bank if you buy a bunch. Every time my mom comes to town this is one of her request for dinner! read more

I have eaten Red Ginger 25+ times. It is by far the highest quality sushi in the price range. If you want the fanciest sushi money can buy this is obviously not your place but it is the king of its niche. The restaurant itself is cute and the staff is very friendly. We generally order a large order to go and a small order to eat at the restaurant and the staff has always been flexible with this oddity. My favorites -- The kiss roll, has a solid amount of fish and a nice spicy aioli with fish eggs and crab. The cheese wontons come with a tasty sauce. The edamame is a large portion for the price and goes great with sushi. Smoked Salmon Nigiri/Sashimi is delicious and a nice switch up from the other items. Items to avoid -- The spicy tuna/salmon rolls. Most places use bread/crumbs in these but Red Ginger goes a little overboard. read more

Stopped here because I was really craving sushi and was in the area. Looked up the reviews on yelp and they had me believing it would taste great. I had never heard of it and now I think I know why. They have excellent deals on their menu but it does come at the sacrifice of quality, which I should have suspected from the pricing. I only stopped here because the location made me believe it would be quality sushi. All of the sushi I tried tasted like something you'd find at a gas station unfortunately. Everything I tried was very dissatisfying and disappointing in terms of quality and flavor. Sorry to say I won't be back again, but I wish the business all the best because clearly many people disagree with me according to yelp reviews. read more

Went with J for Dinner. J arrived earlier than I was on Friday March 15th 2013. Seated promptly given the Menu. YES, there are alot of SUSHI ROLLS that Red Ginger offers, but I am NOT into those. Even the SPECIALS they offer that evening, was lacking. *BIG BUMMER* I opt for water while if I am not mistaken J opt for Soda. I ordered the following items : * Grilled Mussels ($4.95) * Spicy Octopus Salad ($5.99) * Wasabi Tobiko ($3.00) * Amaebi aka Sweet Raw Shrimp ($6.00) As for J, she ordered : * Avocado Salad * Salmon Nigiri * An another sushi item in which I could not recall. My order of Grilled Mussels came out luke warm and RED GINGER Kitchen Staffs did not broil the cheese properly. *First Sigh* The Spicy Octopus Salad, was overcooked and NOT SPICY AT ALL. *Double Sigh* The Wasabi Tobiko, is just bland, NO TASTE OF WASABI at all. *Sad Face INDEED* & *Tripple BIG SIGH* We wanted to order more Sushi.. but after waiting for 35 minutes or more, to even get the attention from our waitstaffs or servers, we decide to just pay our check. YES, that evening, RED GINGER was indeed jam packed with all other patrons alike. If I am not mistaken there were like 5 other servers handling this so call tiny establishment that they filled it to a brim on a Friday evening. Finally out of nowhere a gentleman took notice, and we told him we wanted to pay our food and waiting for our check. He came out from no-where, also wearing the same uniform as other servers. He speed up, the transaction. J thinks he was funny at the end of our dinner... Red Ginger VISIT was indeed a CAPITAL D = DISAPPOINTING To The MAX. BIG Quantity Means NO Quality... *SIGH* Red Ginger offers alot of SUSHI ROLLS, but that does not mean you get the Quality Sushi to begin with.. I received a horrible excuse of a roll. 80% rice 5% fish and 15% sauce. I ate two pieces and told the waiter it was not as advertised and I didn't want it. He said he can't do anything and I have to pay for it. No manager or supervisor on duty. I've had bad sushi before but this was insanely ridiculous I've never been skimped on fish so hard. And the customer service was bottom of the barrel F- I will contact the manager later today if she comes in. Look at the photo. I would've got more fish ordering nigiri for a third of the price! He offered no solution or help or sympathy when I mentioned it. He just says he can't do anything about it. HORRIBLE. read more

DELICIOUS, delicious! Just officially moved into my new house today, and this happened to be the first delivery order I've put in. So glad I did! This is the best sushi and sashimi I've had in Denver thus far! Ordered the cream cheese wontons, Salmon Mango Roll & Spicy Octopus Roll (which were both 50% off), Red Snapper sashimi, Salmon sashimi, and Black Tobiko. I was not disappointed!! Everything was so fresh, and tasted like it. Will definitely be ordering from them again! (And it may just become my favorite) read more

My husband and I came here on a Friday night and I was pretty surprised to see it so empty. We ordered our sushi and two glasses of wine, and we waited... and waited... and waited. No one else was dining in the restaurant and the staff was all just sitting around playing on their phones or restocking. We had to get up from our table to ask if they could bring our wine after at least 10 minutes. When the food came, it was pretty good. Nothing to rave about but definitely not bad. I really disliked the atmosphere, as the lights were all on very bright and it was hard to feel relaxed the entire time we were there. read more

I have come to really enjoy ordering from Red Ginger. You get much more "bang for your buck" than you do at most sushi places in Denver. Is it the best sushi I've had? Nah, but does it hit the spot on a Tuesday night when there's no food in the house, YES!!! Everything was fresh and flavorful and my husband's beef fried rice had impressive pieces of meat in it, not the usual grey slivers. I also want to mention, the delivery person was SO NICE! We ordered from another place since moving to a third story apartment, and the man was so rude, about coming upstairs. With Red Ginger, he brought it right to the door with no problem, and thanked me for my specific instructions on how to get to our unit. This has definitely become one of our favorites for delivery in Denver, I hope to try going in person soon! read more

Doesn't look like much when we popped in for a quick sushi fixed. My friend suggested this place because she been there previously before the pandemic. It's a very divey place with only 2 customers. I didn't think much of it because I've been to great divey eats before. They messed up l on our hand roll s and brought out regular rolls. There was barely any fish in any of our 4 rolls mostly rice and a ton of sweet sauce. The fish that was there had a deep fishy smell and bitter flavor like it was old. I still wanted to give them another chance and ordered a salmon hand roll. We couldn't find the waiter and he never checked in on us not even once. The what I presume manager was confused on what a hand roll was and asked if it was the cone shaped one. We thought it was strange since he works there and it says hand roll on the menu. The handroll came out mixed with a ton of panko breading and Mayo as filler with tiny bits of salmon. Overall their rice fish was dry with no flavor and not worth 70ish dollars we paid. My friend said this place used to be better but somehow lost it's way after the pandemic. I'm sad to see such a drop off but for right now I would not recommend this place even for a quick bite. read more

You gotta know what you're getting into when its 50% off all the time. You're not getting fancy, mind blowing sushi rolls but for the price, this place is totally worth it. They have SO many rolls and they're mostly in the range of $5-$8 after half off and you get your fill for your money. The inside isn't huge so we had to wait to seat our large group but they were able to accommodate. The rolls are on the smaller side but I would definitely go back. You can also pick up your order and enjoy all your sushi at home! read more

Red Ginger Sushi has recently taken over the old Broadway Sonoda site and they are seriously rockin' Denver's sushi world. Who knows how long they can keep this up, but to make themselves known they're runnin' 1/2 off 3 menu pages worth of sushi rolls. The menu prices themselves are very reasonable, but when you cut those prices in half, it's seriously stupid cheap. We split a large Sapporo, a large carafe of house hot sake, a salad, a miso soup, and 3 excellent sushi rolls for less than $35. Best value sushi dinner in Denver right now. My advice . . . By 50% off ALL sushi rolls, they really mean it! I am always one on the hunt for a great deal, and when I heard about Red Ginger's 50% off, I wanted to check it out. My boyfriend and I ordered way too many rolls, but we were hungry and got excited about the deal. We forgot that on top of the five rolls we ordered, we were offered a free soup or salad. They had so many sushi rolls and specialty rolls that you can choose from. The rolls that we got were pretty good. The only complaint I have is that they were a bit heavy on the sauce garnish that came on top. Overall, the quality of the fish was good, and the rice had a nice flavor to it. I wouldn't say it was spectacular and the best I have ever had, but with this deal, they definitely get an extra star. We will be back to try other rolls as long as they keep the deal going. read more

Half off... All the time. No I'm not talking about kohls I'm talking about red ginger sushi! I have eaten here probably 20 times but we ordered delivery on Friday most recently. You will NOT find cheaper sushi for the quality in the metro area. The variety is actually overwhelming but that just means everyone can find something they will like. I recommend the Sweetheart Roll- probably my favorite thing I've gotten here. See my pic, I love siracha on sushi! Delivery Friday night (7 rolls a soup and salad) with bad weather was only 45 minutes , which was great, and if you dine in you get free soup and salad. I wish they would cut the crap with the "half off!!!!" they have advertised since they opened, and they should label the rolls for delivery (we had to google what we got to determine which is which). Echoing what Alice Q said about this place and the servers.....they completely made it a negative experience on this place. But still, 50% off sushi is pretty nice, although I don't know why they don't just slash prices permanently? We came here on a Monday night and it was pretty empty around 6:30 but started picking up as we left. The servers got some RBF going on and are not friendly at all. We sat at a table and they kept sitting everyone right next to each other instead of spacing it out so our little area was packed. Seeing it's right off Broadway and 6th there are some super sketchy characters coming here, it was like transient city. But damn, the sushi was good. I would come back but most likely sit at the sushi bar and hope for some better service. read more

I give 3.5 stars. I was in town for a Denver trip. Looked up yelp n this had 4 stars n pretty good reviews. We immediately got seated. We ordered 4 rolls. Jalapeño yellowtail, edenamme. All that food cost 37.00. Not a bad deal. The food was really good. My favorite was the cucumber roll. * they also offer 50% off rolls. I will post pics. So, Red Ginger does this HH thing where there rolls are 50% off all the time, which to me means... cheap rolls all the time. They're not gourmet, super-fancy-foie-gras rolls - they're smallish (I would order perhaps 2-3 rolls for a solid meal) which only means you get to order a variety of rolls. Over my 2-3 visits, I've tried the Yellowtail, Spicy salmon, Spicy tuna, Salmon Avocado, the Philadelphia, the Spider, the Volcano, the Spicy Crunch (or something with tempura flakes/ crunchy toppings on top), and... you get my drift. It's not a fancy place but good, fast, and cheap.. which, in my book, is a winner. read more

Loved it! GREAT pricing ... everything 50% all the time ... and not marked up to start. Clean place. Only issue was the little gnats flying around "bugging" us throughout whole dinner. It's great sushi and was 50% off all rolls so super good. The habachi is not cooked in front of you so that was a little disappointing and they put a sweet teriyaki sauce on everything when they bring it out. In general, it's been a laid back, go-to place to get a meal that will be much better than average for the price. I've been many times since before and after COVID, and it was one of my favorite repeatable spots in Denver. However, the crew totally dropped the ball with our visit today. My wife ordered a tonkatsu ramen and got a chicken tonkatsu set instead (chicken cutlet, not bowl of ramen). To not make it weird, we just let that one be for the greater good of the table because it was our anniversary, grandparents were visiting, and we are here often. Our hamachi kama (one of my favorite dishes in the entire city, normally something I'd highly recommend on this review) was never sent to the kitchen, leaving us waiting for over an hour with two young kids at the table who had finished 40 minutes before. I watched the staff's confusion from my seat, even after we had been told that it was on its way. It was never even started, and it was obvious. That stuff happens, but it's hard to hide what happened in an open kitchen where you can hear what people are saying. But then after they had the "oh crap" moment, it wasn't even expedited. It was gonna take so long that it wasn't worth getting, so two people had to leave our not-busy lunch without getting the main thing we brought them to Ototo for. We were asked to wait for the dish, waited 15 more minutes, and it was not even close to ready. And while I appreciated the apology, the manager initially just tried to "take the dish off the bill," a dish we never received. So he basically tried to do nothing because no restaurant would charge for something that never came out. After I pointed this out, they took off part of the check, but that attempt at nothing under the guise of a comp was crazy. I've easily spent thousands at Ototo over the years. I've sent tons of people to Kizaki, Temaki Den, and the others. This will probably be the last time I go to Ototo. If you read some of the recent bad reviews, something is not working here anymore. I hope the otherwise amazing service at the other Dens can find its way back to Ototo.

Both him and his brother, Yasu Kizaki, serves some of the best nigiri in Denver, and Kizaki has received a Michelin star in the past. The service at Kizaki is impeccable, starting with some pre-dinner drink at the bar, which they share with Margot, another Michelin darling. Once our table was ready, we were led back to our sushi counter in the back, which has been beautiful decorated with the fresh catch straight from Japan. From there, we were served some of the best bites in Denver. The dishes were expertly crafted and beautiful served. The chef even asked about our preferences and replace my wife's uni nigiri with a lobster nigiri, which was wonderful. Each nigiri bite was divine, and given the nature of service, I did not want to disrupt them with pictures and chose to just enjoy the moment. Honestly, this is the best omakase experience in Denver. It is expensive, no doubt, but it's the closest I've had in Denver to a true Japanese omakase experience. And from that point on, from first taste, I knew my experience would be exceptional. The service was attentive without being overly attentive, and the chef's were so kind, answering every one of my weird questions about what they were preparing or ingredients that I noticed. I ordered the smoked burrata to start. The balance between the candied pistachio, artichoke pesto, and wagyu cecina really created a well balanced and unexpected dish. The burrata was creamy and the salty and sweet components balanced the aged sherry gastrique and made for an incredible intro to a beautiful performance by the chefs. Next was another small dish, which I wish I remembered the description for (I need to bring a little notebook with me), but it was a perfect segue into the next course, the ibérico presa. Wow. Just wow. White asparagus has got to be one of my favorite vegetables next to artichokes, when done exceptionally well, as they most definitely were. The piquillo peppers and pickled shallots complemented the pork, which was so soft, perfectly. I definitely died and went to heaven at this point in the meal. This is probably when I should've stopped eating because after this point, still pure delight, but my poor stomach was soooooo full. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. The honeycomb on top, the cherries, all leading to a perfect finish. A time was had. Thanks El Five

Personally I got the carnitas and was shocked at the portion! The presentation was beautiful and overall it was quite tasty. The hard part with this meal was that the black bean puree was underneath all the meat and au jus so it was a bit challenging to scoop up and put in the tacos. I recently stopped in and had an amazing experience. I tried multiple sushi rolls, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Each roll had a nice balance of textures and flavors without being overly heavy. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. They came by regularly to check on us, refill drinks, and see if we needed anything else, which I really appreciated. It's always nice to feel like you're being looked after without having to flag someone down. The prices here are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. They offered some great deals on their sushi rolls, which made it easy to try a few different options without feeling like we were overspending. It's definitely a place where you get a lot of value for your money. As for the atmosphere, it's very easygoing and relaxed. The space isn't huge, but it's cozy and comfortable, with a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. I also loved the lighting , it's not too bright or harsh like some places can be. Instead, it's soft and warm, making it a really pleasant environment to sit and dine in. If you're looking for the worst customer service ever - you're welcome to come to Red Ginger! My wife got me food from them before, and it was very delicious, but she had some problems ordering it last time, so this time we decided to go together. We placed our order, which was around $20, tipped the cashier another $7. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we started wondering where our food was, cuz it doesn't really take that long to make sushi right? So the little girl that we tipped $7 said it will be another 2 minutes. After another 5 minutes it wasn't even close to be finished, so we spoke to the manager, took our money back, and left. Instead decided to go to Asian Grill on 3rd and Broadway. Got our food done there in about 5 minutes and we were on our way. Orientals at Red Ginger seem to be working but white young kids who didn't even seem to be 17, at the cash register were the worst customer service me and my wife ever got here in Denver. I don't understand the mediocre reviews here - I suppose if you go expecting the equivalent of a $100-plus sushi restaurant (for 10 rolls), you'll be disappointed. But, if you want fresh, simple sushi for a very, very reasonable price, this place is great. I used to go to Katsu all the time for all you can eat sushi, but I've stopped, now I go here on a bi-weekly basis at least. It's not fancy, but for what it is, it's good, solid sushi. read more

Man, the people who love this place don't know beans about Japanese food! Yeah, this junk is cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for. A real sushi chef spends years in training. The training these "chefs" have seems to encompass which end of the knife to hold. If you know and respect Japanese food, do yourself a favor and skip this place. Next the sign out front will say, "Sushi! $1.99 a scoop." read more

The menu is massive and has loads of sushi options. The chicken yakisoba is pretty good. The veggies were cooked perfectly and it had that classic flavor. It was a bit weird though, 'cause our main dish came out first and then the appetizer came out much later. When the wontons finally arrived, they were kinda small and tasteless, but the fried rice was really good. read more

Red Ginger is one of my favorite restaurants in it is consistently good and very reasonably priced sushi! The constant 50% off sale is a little off-putting, but I've been coming here for years and have only had great experiences.
