I've been coming here for years with friends and family and highly recommend Red Kettle to anyone looking for a hole-in-the-wall coffee experience. They used to make donut holes in-house every weekend but sadly discontinued them! Their hot chocolate is particularly delectable and their whipped cream is some of the best I've ever had. Baked items are pretty good too, but they can run out fast on a busy day! Do yourself a favor and at least give this local place a try. They also have cool art for sale from local artists, as well as stickers, t-shirts, and travel cards. Street parking isn't too bad, and there are a few tables to eat outside should you choose. Very limited space indoors with only one table for seating. Take your drinks and go for a walk! read more

Can we all just take a minute to rejoice the fact that Summerland got a coffee shop, and an absolutely adorable one at that! I am obsessed with the name of this cafe, all the cutesie little DIY decor and goodies for sale, the Red everywhere, bringing back the concept of Free Libraries, the trendy hanging plants and decorative succulents, an outdoor patio for bikers and groups, the local art pieces and professional snapshots hanging up, and the fact they have their own (mini) parking lot... Need I say more? Oh yes, the coffee! I have had lattes, hot and cold, straight espresso shots, and their cold brew and all has lived up to its potential. You can tell their roast is authentic when it gives you a nice taste in your mouth, that perfect caffeine buzz and without the acid reflux or crummy stomach ache. I will definitely be back, multiple times in the future, and look forward to trying their ice blended coffee drinks and those donuts they serve (only on the weekends) that everyone in town has been ranting and raving about. read more

If you're ever in Montecito, CA stop for a coffee at this cozy and friendly spot. I got the salty bumble bee latte with almond milk. It literally tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios in a cup. Great staff, clean and well kept. They also sell cool, holographic stickers. It's a great place for studying or a coffee date. They even have a cute patio in the back. I absolutely adore this little coffee shop. I was introduced to this place by my dear friend. It was the perfect half way point for us since I live in Santa Barbara and she lives in Carpinteria. I got this delicious snickerdoodle latte with coconut milk. I never wanted it to end! They have all sorts of decadent pastries and the stationary is hilarious! We couldn't leave without a card! The best part is that they serve QUALITY coffee here - seriously, in the quaint little town of Summerland, this coffee shop serves drinks that are on par with those of Silverlake's coffee shops. I wish I could give six stars! As a local to Santa Barbara, Red kettle is my absolute favorite coffee shop. The pastries and food they offer are all amazing, The empanadas are incredible. Their wide variety of coffee flavors and smoothies guarantees there's something for everyone! My personal favorite is their Oatchata with lavender. Red kettle also has a huge display of cards, stickers, and other neat tchotchkes that are perfect for gifts or for yourself! They have a lovely outdoor seating area as well! There is always street or parking lot parking available and they have a bathroom for customers! The baristas are all incredibly friendly and have never messed up my order! The vibes in this coffee shop are immaculate! I happened to pass by here one day while taking a detour from the freeway and I was intrigued by the giant gnome they have out front. I decided I had to try it just because of that! Lol when you walk in, you go through a small gift shop area with cute little Knick knacks, and stuff like stickers and greeting cards. It has a nice, homey feeling on the inside. They have cute names for their drinks, and it made me want to keep coming back to try each one. The staff was also super friendly and answered all my questions. As far as their espresso goes, it's really smooth and well balanced, which is more than I can say for most indie coffee shops that burn the hell out of their beans and make them super bitter lmao.
