Potstickers

Red Lantern has been our go-to for some time when we visit Thunder Valley. We came again just before a concert at the Venue recently. It was really busy so we are glad we booked a table. Definitely book ahead, especially if there is an event. We like to share some appetizers and fried rice and we did the same as usual. Pot Stickers, Soup Dumplings, and the Yang Chao fried rice. The soup dumplings were definitely the best and our favorite of the night. The Yang Chao fried rice was good, a generous portion that tasted fresh and had lots of shrimp, but it did seem to be lacking somewhat in flavor. We used the chili sauce, and had to keep asking for more - finally the second time they brought us a bigger portion. The pot stickers were fine but probably our least favorite. We definitely left full and food was fine, but the service was not as attentive as usual and it wasn't as great an experience as we're used to. But still worth 4 stars for the consistency and the variety on the menu.

Reservations for four via OpenTable. Fong was our server and did an amazing job tending to our table. The food arrived and did not disappoint. Great meal and cocktails.

12/11/25- Came down a day early for my son's graduation.. Made reservations and luckily we were seated with a server who had waited on us long ago..(he even remembers our names).. Went with half a duck and the braised tofu and bok choy.. Sooo good when you missed breakfast and lunch! Glad we had a delicious meal!

Picked up the roast duck, Hainan chicken, and pork for a to-go order. It's a nicer sit down restaurant inside the casino if you want an elevated meal vibe. You'll have to wait a while for seating as it's a popular spot. Otherwise, great atmosphere!

I attended the dinner to promote the gold bar whisky. I enjoyed all the drinks. My favorite was the lychee cocktail. The sashimi and scallop appetizer was so good. The main dish was just okay. The fried rice lacked flavor and only contained a small amount of eggs. The wagyu was overcooked. I enjoyed the flavor and the tenderness of the duck. Although, the sauce was just okay as it was quite sweet for my liking. The dessert was just okay as well as I do not prefer dense chocolate cakes. Overall, this was still a fun experience sampling the whisky mixed drinks.

This spot is located inside the Thunder Valley Casino. The wait was 20 mins for dinner. Service is quite swift and the food is above average.

Our favorite chinese restaurant when we come down from Reno. The food is excellent and the atmosphere authentic. Service is spot on and prices are reasonable. Check it out.

The salt and pepper calamari was really lacking in flavor. Super bland. The mongolian beef had a good tender texture and flavor. Rice is an additional $4. Overall it's just so so

Not knowing how busy the restaurants would be 2 hours before a concert we were lucky to even grab a spot at the bar at Red Lantern (we had to wait 30 mins stalking the bar in wait). While we waited, however we met a lot of other concert goers all in a fantastic mood as we were all ready to see a fantastic R&B concert. The ambience inside is really spectacular. And let me tell you those bartenders know how to pour a drink way better than inside of the casino I'll tell you that. The bartenders were efficient and nice. There wasn't a lot on the vegetarian menu, but we did enjoy some tasty tofu and vegetables with rice.

Service was fast and friendly but didn't explain the menu and we had to ask questions like what the soup of the day was, how to order, etc. we ordered appetizers of chicken wings and then most of our group of 6 ordered the $35 pp option where you get 1 egg roll, 1 potsticker, an entree and pudding dessert ... the appetizers were good, the soup was soup of the day - a sour soup that was just okay - I would have preferred a different soup not so spicy. I got the chicken chow mein which was yummy and a huge serving. The mango pudding was bland - no taste other than the whipped cream and it was kind of hard on top like it was sitting in a fridge. The price was a bit high and gratuity for our group of 6 was added on to our bill. Our visit last year was much better than this visit so maybe an off night.

Had a great experience dining at the Red Lantern before seeing a show at the venue. Definitely would recommend making a reservation online ahead of time, which can be done for as small a party as 2. We had great service and enjoyed the Trip Appetizer, chicken with broccoli, and chocolate bonbon. The wine selection was decent and the Chardonnay and Zin we tried was excellent.

Went out to do old folks things at the thunder Valley casino, played BINGO, we didn't win, but after hours of intense play we were hungry and head over to red lantern inside of the casino.... the ambiance was a classy Chinese restaurant that had the high class look and feel of a Vegas resort without the high prices. The service was nothing short of spectacular, and the food was phenomenal! I think their orange chicken may have been the best I've had, but the spicy basil chicken was my favorite.

Located inside Thunder Valley. Service was good. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. Food was mediocre (ok for a casino); kinda authentic. The decor was very nice. The atmosphere was great.

(Yes I hope he reads this lmao) Both times I have visited, the staff has been incredibly pleasant and personable. The food is absolutely chef's kiss. I love the Classico Tostada with shrimp. The chili oil adds the perfect touch. I also tried the ensalada de elote and it was delicious. It was surprisingly filling and satisfying all on its own. The cocktails are unique, which I really appreciate. I have tried several now and every one of them has been excellent. The Lincoln location is small and intimate. I have not visited the Midtown location yet, but since I live in Sacramento I will definitely make it there at some point.

It's a very modern, small restaurant, and the bar seating is definitely the focal point of the space, though the overall vibe felt a little cold with minimal decoration. I'd love to come back to try their full omakase experience eventually, but the service was a real letdown. Even though we were the only two people in the restaurant most of the time, we felt like an inconvenience. At one point, I said out loud that we were ready to order; the staff including our waitress stopped for a second, looked at us, and then just went back to what they were doing without acknowledging us. It was as if we were on her time, and she was making it clear that she would get to us when she felt like it, not when we were ready. The wait for food was also way too long. Despite being the only ones there, I waited about 40 minutes for my ceviche mixto bowl ($22). For a raw dish that requires no actual cooking, that kind of delay in such a small space is hard to justify. We also had the broiled oysters ($15) and oyster shooters ($5), which were solid. I noticed the drink menu didn't have many sweet cocktail options, so I asked if they could make me a lemon drop instead; and they granted the request. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The food and drinks are great, but the service and kitchen speed really need to be more attentive to match the quality of the menu.

The menu is also unique. Many of the sandwiches contain cream cheese, fresh sliced avocados, and other delicious combinations. They have hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, salads, and what they call beach munchies! Beach Hut Deli also serves beer, and last I heard... there is a happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm and Sunday all day long. Coors Light is $2, and microbrews are $3. This Lincoln Beach Hut shares is parking lot with many other businesses. When we pulled in for lunch, there was plenty of parking. We decided to dine in and eat inside. The tables are shaped and designed to look like surf boards, with tiki huts throughout. There are seats available as if you are at a bar/breakfast bar. We ordered the extra large Surf'in Bird and a couple of beers. They were kind to offer to put it on separate Frisbee's (their plates) for us. Their sandwiches are packed full of everything they could think of... these sandwiches are absolutely not made for convenience. These are made to WOW YOU! We struggled to eat such a huge sandwich. If you refer to the pictures, the sandwich is bigger than my hand and still needs to be closed to eat... I think we could've gone down a few sandwich sizes and been comfortable. This was so big!!! I enjoyed our sandwich and our time at Beach Hut Deli. I always enjoy spending time with my handsome man! I love the atmosphere and the chill vibe of everyone who works here. Outdoor seating is available, but the weather was a little wet that day.

It's the type of low key establishment you'll find in neighborhoods of many big cities. Their hours good too, especially for folks like us who eat meals at atypical times... with a broad menu available most of the day for whatever you choose. We came with friends and sat outside on the patio for the first time. It was absolutely delightful with a nice cool breeze and just the right outdoor temperature. Coming here for a very late lunch, after 2pm, there weren't many patrons which meant we didn't feel rushed or crowded and settled in for a nice long stay, which was quite fine with the staff and manager who seemingly welcomed it while not needing a table. The back of the menu has lunch specials, available until 3pm. Right under the wire, we ordered. I got the Veggie Sandwich with a side salad and my choice of Italian dressing which came on the side. My salad arrived first and was larger than expected and quite good. I liked the variety of greens and the addition of a couple types of beans, pinto and garbanzo. A very nice hearty and fresh salad. The Veggie Sandwich was delicious with a blend of vegetables, melted cheese and a robust sauce (mayo & mustard). It came warmed on foccacia bread. Being a bit difficult to eat and messy as things slipped out onto the plate an ample amount of paper napkins were provided. They just know and prepared in advance to be asked for some! It was a very enjoyable meal and the only reason for one less star is how mainstream it is as a restaurant, very consistent yet nothing out to have a 'wow', unique factor; which frankly is very OK. If you haven't been, do try it.

We kicked things off with the artichoke dip, which is always a fantastic starter--warm, flavorful, and a perfect way to begin the evening. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and made a substitution to linguine instead of potatoes, which turned out to be a great call. The dish was well-prepared and satisfying. The only slight question mark for me was the sweetness of the sauce--it had a different flavor profile than I've experienced elsewhere--but it was still very good (I cleaned the plate). My brother went with the Italian calzone, served in three generous portions, and he absolutely loved it. The marinara sauce deserves a mention on its own--rich, well-balanced, and a great complement to the dish. My wife stuck with her usual Pasta Toscana (no surprises there), and as always, it delivered. It's a consistently excellent dish and clearly a favorite for a reason. My sister-in-law really enjoyed the gnocchi, and my nephew, who's vegetarian, was very pleased with the Eggplant Parmesan--he said it was flavorful and hit the spot. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. We dine here regularly and enjoy working our way through the menu, trying something new each visit...well, most of us do. All in all, another great experience. Siino's continues to deliver a consistently enjoyable meal, and we're already looking forward to the next visit.
