I finally went out of the house to eat out at a restaurant and noticed that Red Lobster did not change their bathroom at all during covid. I noticed all fixtures are touch. Gross!! I thought every restaurant changed with the time during covid? Nope not this cheap restaurant. Red Lobster had 3 years to change and they did not. Next time, I'm bringing gloves to this place. Would give zero stars if I could. Came in for a quick drink at the bar before a meeting nearby and was welcomed by a manager who immediately was sarcastic and rude to me when I tried ordering from the bar. I was pressured into buying what was the absolute worst lobster bisque I've ever had in my life (it was completely separated, tasted like the ingredients had went bad, and I couldn't even take a sip before spitting it back out). The Mocha espresso drink I purchased tasted minty and wrong, and when I asked the manager for the ingredient list, she listed off the ingredients incorrectly (I know because I asked my bartender afterwards and she gave me a completely different ingredients list). This manager then berated me for questioning why the drink tasted weird, and told me I should go to Applebees if I wanted my drink with espresso. My bartender was kind and understanding so I still tipped him for his service, but I will not be returning due to the disrespect I received from management and the horrible food, and will be telling everyone to avoid this place. read more

Just had the worst experience ever. We were at table 38 with a server named Alicia or something on Feb 15 at 1pm. I saw a YouTube of Cardi B and Jimmy Fallon eating at Red Lobster and Cardi said she really liked the Cajun shrimp pasta so I was like ohhh interesting. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta and wanted to add chicken. Server said not sure if we can do that, I'll ask the manager. I also asked "what kind of oysters do you have?" And she's like "just regular half shelled oysters." I'm like "do you know what kind?" Her "don't think there's a kind. Just half shelled" Me "can you ask the back? Oysters have a name" Time passed and she didn't get back to me about my questions. I had to flag her down and said "did you happen to ask about my added thing and oysters?" She said "we can't add and no one knows what kind of oysters they were" Before any of the food came, I asked about the biscuits and she said they're making them. Every table next to us had biscuits besides us. But I'm like okay they're being made so no rush. The appetizers came, soup came, entrees came and still no biscuits. I had to ask again, and she said okay let me check. Then she brought them out. My entree came out and it was chicken pasta. I was like "sorry but I ordered Cajun shrimp pasta with added chicken, not chicken pasta" she said oh sorry and took back my dish. 1 min later I was like "couldn't you have just let me keep my entree and bring me a side of shrimp?" And she's like "I already took it back" We ordered tea and it was empty, yet she didn't ask if we wanted a refill. When we got the check, she said card pay on this kiosk but the kiosk wasn't even turned on. We had to ask someone and we had to wait a while for it to power up. I had a 3 course meal and it was supposed to come with dessert and she forgot. I had to ask her "doesn't my meal come with dessert?" She said "oh yeah sorry" Overall, a horrible experience. It was my first time there and she made it a bad one. If you want that pasta with shrimp AND chicken, go to Olive Garden instead because they were able to accommodate us. This isn't her fault but 1 thing that was bad was the stems of the Brussels sprouts haven't been chopped off. They were left on and it's hard to eat it. Update: I was sooo angry I called the manager and she said that they would of been able to add chicken to my shrimp pasta and she told me kind of oysters they were (South Pacific oysters)! Made a visit to Brea location Saturday afternoon January 8th at 4 pm the restaurant was almost empty , We were informed by the reception that there was a 50 minute wait when we asked why we were told that the have no staff , We were not allowed to sit at a table and have a drink why are they open if the cant serve people even a drink, In my option it should be closed until the get a management team in place. My server was absolutely amazing -- I believe his name was Dan. He was so awesome and kind to my group, and we had a great time at Red Lobster. 10/10 service. The food, however, was incredibly salty! I understand that restaurant food is pretty salty normally, but this food was just too much even for my taste. I ordered the scallops and shrimp, and I could only handle eating about half of it. I brought the rest home to mix with rice, in hopes of diluting some of the salt from it. I tried some of my friend's shrimp pasta, and it was also very very salty. I hope that they adjust their salt levels just a little bit at least, just for health's sake! read more

I have been to this location for a number of years and the food has been good. The fish & chips is too greasy but overall it's a good place to eat. Today they offered us a free photo and I fell for the scam. They take several pictures and then come back and give you a horrible picture but then ask for $20 for each additional photo and they took 5 picture with their advertising logo cover and if higher quality. They made it worse by interrupting our dinner just to make a sales pitch. That was such a bad experience that I had to post so maybe management sees this and stops this practice. My family and I came to Red Lobster on October 6, for dinner. We were there to celebrate my brother's 51st heavenly birthday, he passed away in May from a traumatic accident resulting to a head injury. It was a very difficult day for my parents and I. We were wearing shirts with my brother's face on it. We were greeted upon entering by who I believe to be the manager. She seen our shirts and knew we were there for some sort of a celebration. After explaining to her what we were there for she took us to the back of the restaurant where we could have some seclusion. She could sense our sadness but wanted to bring some joy to our celebration, so she gave us free appetizers made sure we were taken care of the entire night. The waitress was excellent. After we finished our meals the waitress brought an ice cream Sundae in honor of my brother and offered to sing happy birthday. The manager and waitress were so kind to us and really brightened up our night. We do frequent this location a few times a year, but after the special treatment and kindness we receive will be definitely going back more often. read more

We had the crab fest and shrimp. The food was delicious and the ambiance was nice, but our server Chrisamy dropped the ball at the end. She was great in the beginning, but after we got our food, she never came back. Never refilled our water or removed our dirty plates. She finally returned and did not ask if we wanted dessert or if everything was OK. Our table was a mess from everyone eating crab, we wanted our plates removed so we could have dessert. We told her we were wondering what happened to her. She barked out, "you want the check". We said no, we want the table cleaned and dessert. She became unfriendly and never apologized for forgetting about us. At the end she tried to make a nice gesture, but her tip was already jeopardize. Eilene the manager and Tyree the supervisor were AWESOME and kept me from giving 2 stars. Very disappointed with our experience at the Red Lobster at the Brea Mall this week. It began well, the hostess was friendly and efficient. Our waiter, Kevin, was also friendly and brought delicious bay biscuits before we could even ask for them! We waited well over 1/2 hour after ordering before any other food came out. While the food was delicious, it was apparent that this location prevents customers from taking much advantage of the "Endless Shrimp" by making you wait close to 1/2 hour or more to bring each refill. We have been to numerous locations and Brea Mall location is the only one with such slow service. Easily took twice the time, or more, than any other location. Only one of the four of us even ordered the "Endless Shrimp", yet all four of us were there nearly two hours because of the excruciatingly long wait times and he only requested two additional selections (one at a time of course) after his original plate. Again, the hostess and waiter were so courteous and professional, but the food wait times were extraordinary! So many other locations to choose from! read more

This is my first time ever try Red Lobster, it's... a little disappointed. We ordered Create Your Own Combination - Choose Any 3, it's $26.79 before tax, we even choose the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, which I guess they're like an upgrade, because they cost another $4 each, and boy that's why I'm a little disappointed, since I order online, and it's my first time, I had to look up pictures online as a reference, and apparently the crab cake will only include one if you order the Choose 3 Combo, even though the image shows two and you have to pay extra fee for it. I do like most of the food I ordered, except the Broiled Bay Scallops, which was a bunch of little scallops soaking in some I think is butter and water (I dipped the biscuits into the scallop water and it was good), but I can't taste much on the scallop except I know that they're scallops. Seafood is expensive, I get it (what do you think I live in a state near the ocean for?), but when the restaurant name is literally a seafood, I expected to be more professional on the seafood, I meant, even if someone order the cheapest seafood on the menu, if your specialty is seafood, it should still taste good. How can you go wrong with seafood? For a chain restaurant Red Lobster is pretty darn good. I got the combo plate with scallops, jumbo shrimp, and lobster mac and cheese. I had rice and broccoli for my sides. The scallops and shrimp were grilled to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was to die for. Bring me the whole darn pot. The sides were good along with the salad. Oh, who can forget the cheese biscuits? You can make a meal with these alone. Our service was very good. It was slow so we were able to take our time eating. I have never been treated so well at a major franchise restaurant. The customer service at this Red Lobster is excellent! My husband and I chose to sit at the bar and I'm so happy we did. Nolan was our bar tender/server and he was very caring, provided excellent service and made sure everything was perfect. Fidel was another waiter that went above and beyond. The food was great, was served fast and hot. We ordered to go as well and that was packed with all the fixings and sent us home with some bread for our to go order. Went here for my birthday April 9th. The Red Lobster near me isn't offering patio dining, which was a requirement for my mom and I. When we got there they said they didn't have patio dining, I informed them I called to make sure before I drove there. Manager assured me we could sit outside. The patio was so nice. Very well designed, as most of the patio is shaded by the building. Was so thankful not to be in the sun. Red Lobster doesn't get credit for it, but the weather was gorgeous. The food and our server Maritza was amazing, too. She was SO patient and kind. We got very lucky with her. It was a wonderful experience for our first time dining out since the pandemic began. You have to try the brussel sprouts! It was definitely the best part of our entire meal. So delicious. read more

This review is about a take-out experience we recently had. My husband and I were drawn to the new weekly deals. We decided to have a Wednesday date night in with the steak and lobster for me, and the shrimp trio for my husband. My grandpa lives with us, so we got him the popcorn shrimp. WOW, everything was hot and fresh for being take out. We live in Fullerton, and the food remained piping hot and fabulous. My steak was cooked to perfection. I had never had a steak from Red Lobster before, and did not have high expectations, as it is not a steakhouse. I was pleasantly surprised in the quality and taste. I learned a tip at the beginning of 2020, when everything went to take out, on how to order a steak to go. Always order it a temperature below what you want. It "cooks" in the container on your way home, which could lead to an over cooked steak. I like my steak medium rare, so I ordered my steak rare. When I got home it was cooked just how I wanted it, like a medium rare. I don't eat lobster, so I traded my lobster for my husband's Walts shrimp that came with his platter. I've always been a huge fan of the Walt's shrimp, its typically my go to order. I love the cocktail and tartar sauces. The cocktail sauce has a nice punch to it. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, and the coleslaw was not soggy. The green beans were also cooked well. The cheddar bay biscuits were as delightful as always. My grandpa enjoyed his popcorn shrimp. We were excited to enjoy a late night meal. We were told 25 minutes and we'll it took 35 minutes. Not a problem. We were ready to order when seated. Our meal came in a timely manner but my wife's plate slid off the plate and onto the table. My plate was flipped over onto the table right in front of me. Luckily my daughters plate was unharmed. Unfortunately our meal took another 25 minutes. By this time we lost our appetite and only had a few bites and asked for a to go box. The server apologized for the inconvenience and sorry to say no manager bothered to come and apologize or even offer desert for the wait and for the mishaps. And the only thing doing the swallowing was us. Located in the Brea mall vacinity in the back lot somewhere with plenty of parking. Now, if your a seafood snob or steak lover, who enjoy dropping $100 a plate, you may not find your match here. If your into a solid meal under $30-$40 a plate, then you will find your match. Or a cheap date like me who digs $15 chicken dinners. We have always been pleased here with food and service. We started off with some of those cheesy bisquits. Followed by an appetizer of mozzarella sticks with maranara sauce. Out came our salads, along with more bread. I opted for the house salad with a blueberry basalmic dressing. It was very sweet, but fresh grounded pepper complemented the sweet dressing nicely. Finally our entrees arrived. I ordered the maple glazed chicken with rice and mashed potatoes. The sauce was sweet and simple and my potatoes nice and creamy. The beast had a create your own combo with fried shrimp, steak and rice. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium well. Since we were already full we decided to get the Lava cookie topped with ice cream. Why not. The cookie was just okay. It was more cake like than cookie and filled with chocolate. A little on the dry side, maybe cooked a minute to long. But we finished it quickly. I even made a video of it. Tawney, our server was amazing and executed one of the best experiences in a while. From the moment we sat down, till the moment we left, her service was right on target, appearing right when we hit the last sip on our drinks, to the moment we needed more maranara sauce or extra bread. As we were eating I joined the email club and scored a free coupon for a appetizer or desert up to $12.00. They honored my email and credited our bill for our desert. Dinner for 2, with lemonade, appetizer, salad, 2 entrees with our free desert coupon cost us $54.00. Plus tip. 5 star service for sure. Solid 3.5 to 4 stars for food and price.
