Tonight was a wonderful dining experience! We were promptly seated after a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in. Our booth and table were clean. We were brought our drinks by the loveliest wait person named Keaira D. She was everything you would want in a dining out experience, she was prompt and knowledgeable and most importantly fun. The food was delivered on hot plates and cooked to perfection. What more can I say other then if you want a wonderful meal with excellent service and food...don't wait run to red lobster and sit in Kearia section. What a terrible experience. Came into a virtually empty restuarant on a Thrsday at 1230. Was told 30-40 min wait time due to lack of servers. Sat and waited and observed a complete lack of urgency with seated csutomers. Approached hostes after 30 mins and was told another 10 plus minutes. I asked why as i looked at all the emoty tables and told hostess i was confused since i don't see why there is such a delaay her literal responee was "you can be confused but...." After that I really can't recall what she was saying as I was so shocked that a customer service rep would reply this way?!?!?!? I then said forget it, remove us from the list we aren't eating here. I had a previous amazing experience at this restaurant, figured it couldn't be duplicated. A business associate suggested we meet there for lunch to discuss some new proposals. While I hadn't previously considered Red Lobster as a lunch spot - seafood sounded great. Once again I was absolutely dumbfounded by the service. I eat out every day for lunch and this was hands down the best service I may have ever had. So much so, I took a picture of the GM's name. I'm either hiring her to run one of my locations or hiring her to train my Customer Service Reps. FYI waitress April will not disappoint. Ask for her section. I've had better service at this location, but tonight was horrible. this is so on them as we choose, the day after vday. Im sure 1,000 eugene couples thought the same, celebrating vday on Saturday night would be a better choice. But the choice of staff, on that day, was your worst. 7:30 pm Saturday, still a 50 min wait for a table. the bar area is full, as limited time towards our movie time, we choose maybe the bar. We were able to grab 2 seats after standing around in the bar for 15 min. Then sat over 20 min to even get a water beverage order done. Server walked away without asking if we need menus or we are ready to order. We were ready, been studying the WEBSITE, knew it. Server comes to take order, with no note pad, (I start off, I have a weird, Dairy protein takes order but comes back several times, to ask the order again, AKA GET A NOTEPAD, sever Ordered our food, it was delivered cold, in parts, baked potatoes delivered 15 min after the main dish and no steak knife,,,, I know your running around like shits on fire, but I ordered a steak at you slipper bar (some spilled oily stuff, you did not clean up) and NO steak knife???? Stopped in here for dinner on our way back from McMinnville to Bend. We were both craving clam chowder and we have McGrath's in Bend, so why not Red Lobster? It's been awhile since we've frequented one. At least a couple years ago. Way before I started Yelping and even longer since I've started to acquire a taste for really good food. Still, I wasn't expecting a five star establishment. But I was disappointed in how corporate this appeared to be. I didn't remember it that way from years ago. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday night. Parking lot was filling up, but we were greeted at the door by two very happy and smiling teenagers and then a hostess who sat us right away. No waiting whatsoever. She led us back thru the restaurant and I could see it was already filling up and diners looked to be enjoying themselves. Food on the tables, smiles, laughing. You get the idea. Nothing worse than passing a bunch of tables with no food (meals or appetizers) and people looking very glum. That is a bad sign. We were seated at a table for six (with only the two of us) and a large party....10 or 12 next to us. An elderly couple celebrating their anniversary on the other side of us were tucked into a cozy little booth. Service and wait staff were very prompt and friendly. Our waitress even announced, "We are a team here. So if you need anything, don't be shy to flag any one of us down!" Didn't even know we were coinciding our visit with "Lobsterfest". Cool. I love lobster, my wife doesn't. SCORE! Problem was, as I surveyed the menu specials, there were lots of options with a pasta dish or some baked creamy thing......I can't remember what all the choices were but what I could have really gone for was some surf and turf with a rock lobster tail and the sweet split Maine tail. That wasn't a choice. Maybe I should have asked. As it turns out, I chose a selection that offered the two tails and then some Alfredo pasta with lobster and shrimp. Side of fresh broccoli and a dinner salad. Wife went for some shrimp platter that turned out having the exact same pasta (sans lobster), a mini plate of shrimp scampi loaded with garlic and butter (I thought it was yummy) and then some breaded shrimp. She loved the pasta, frowned at the scampi (too garlicky) and was meh about the breaded guys. I would have to agree they were pretty tasteless. Not even remotely crunchy for the breading. Wife had Caesar salad straight from the bag. Mine was no different with a ladle of blue cheese, two slices of cucumber, four slices of tomato with a couple croutons tossed on top. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I didn't finish my salad. I picked at a few pieces and pushed it aside. Even drenched in my favorite dressing....blue cheese...couldn't get me past the disillusionment. We had one basket of the infamous cheddar scone things. Greasy little buggers that are pretty tasty. And we shared a cup of clam chowder. IT was kind of weak. Downright watery. This was NOT a healthy meal by any means. My lobster was good. I've not had it very often so I enjoyed comparing the tastes and preparation difference between the two. I enjoyed the Maine one more and ended up dipping the sliced up rock tail in the garlic butter from my wife's scampi. I barely touched the pasta. But as I said, my wife loved hers and it was essentially the same thing. We succumbed to the molten cookie dessert. This was the best part of the meal. We've all seen those lava cakes. Well this was like one of those but a Toll House Cookie with chocolate lava in the center. Topped with ice cream. It was VERY TASTY!!! On a side note, I noticed that when a table was cleared, they sprayed everything down with disinfectant rather than just using a wet sponge or towel. My wife commented that she thought the place was very clean. I would have to agree. A lot of staff was on duty. Maybe ready for the Friday night crowd? They were definitely working as a team while we were there. So why only two stars? Because that is really all it garners. Not great. Not even THAT good. Aside from that yummy lava cookie, I doubt you'd see me inclined to come here again. For the same type of meal, atmosphere and price....I'd probably frequent McGraths. This is a surprisingly good Red Lobster. I've been to two other ones in my life, and while I enjoyed the others, the decor was a little tacky and outdated there. This one in Eugene is only a year old and the interior is beautiful. Sophisticated, warm, upscale! The food was good, like at most Red Lobsters. We had some delicious seafood stuffed mushrooms (could've been a little less greays perhaps), awesome Red Lobster biscuits of course, and then we had the Seafood Linguini (great, nice tender and well cooked pasta, large seafood chunks) and a combo of Coconut Shrimp Bites and Potato Battered Shrimp. Both were excellent. The coconut shrimp sauce is a bit sweet, but you only need a tiny bit of it, since the shrimp are juicy and flavorful on their own. The potato battered shrimp were something new for me, and they looked like regular fried shrimp, but when you taste them you really notice the rich, comfort-food flavor of the potatoes. What a fantastic combination! Service was outstanding, the lady who helped us was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Definitely the best Red Lobster I've visited. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary and were pretty disappointed. 75% of our time in the restaurant was spent sitting and wondering if our waitress was ever going to show up. When we finally got our food, it was cold and my boyfriend's dish wasn't what he ordered (in fact, it wasn't on the menu at all). When we politely tried to straighten things out with the waitress she got huffy and told us to talk to her manager. On top of that we received the wrong drinks not once but twice, and they were "out" of their famous cheddar garlic biscuits. Not cool! I will say that our visit was pretty soon after they opened so it's possible they've gotten their act together since then, but I don't think we'll be going back. read more

You know, chain restaurants don't get a whole lotta love in these parts. I'm here to give some kudos for the delicious meal I had the other day, Crab linguine Alfredo. Yeeeeeaaahhhh. Full portion. Absolutely LOADED with crab and rich, delicious Alfredo sauce! Not all teeny tiny little shreds either. I'm talking good sized clumps of meat, and decent sized chunks of leg meat as well. I was filtered, now I'm not, thank you yelp for recognizing that I am a real reviewer. I was celebrating a special occasion with a friend. We ordered and ate our meal at the bar because it was a Friday evening and the dining area was fully occupied by customers and dirty tables. We did not want to wait. We had been out for hours and hours - we were starving! We ordered full seafood dinners, and an appetizer platter. I wanted the coconut shrimp and they were "out" so I had to choose something else. We did not even come close to finishing any of it.The food was just barely okay. Nothing special. We just sort of nibbled a bit here and there. Since the food wasn't anything spectacular, we thought we'd just make the best of it and enjoy each others company. Our waitress and our bartender were very friendly and attentive and we received excellent service from them. Even though I had a terrible experience, I still tipped them generously. Because we were dining in the bar area, when I needed to use the "facilities " it was necessary to pass through their "service area?". I'm not sure if that's what you call it, but it's the place where the waiters and waitresses write tickets, gather for refilling water pitchers or whatever... There were about 7 or 8 employees in that area, men and women. I am a little bit overweight, and as I passed through the middle of the group of them, one of the male employees, (I don't know which one) made a "Moo" sound. Unless there was a cow in there somewhere hiding, I'm guessing it was one of the wait staff. He said it just loud enough to be sure I heard it, but I couldn't identify exactly who it was, due to the amount of employees all together in such close proximity. Everyone there that heard him and didn't say that, should have reported the one that did to their supervisor. I am a GREAT tipper, like to spoil my guests, and will never, ever go back there again or recommend their establishment to anyone. Shame on the other employees who did not report this a**. He is costing your company $$. Came here because we got a gift card. We sat in the bar and had great service. Ordered the 4 course meal and everything was delicious. My husband and I both had plenty of food, and the biscuits were so good. Dinner can get very spendy here quickly depending on what you order, but the meal deal was great. It included soup and salad, an entree, and dessert. The environment is quiet, warm and romantic, and my husband and I had a good time. I set foot in a red lobster, just this once, due to a free gift card and a temporary laps in judgment. I do not understand why anyone would ever go here when Eugene has so many delicious non-chain restaurants. Service was ok and the place was very clean in that we-have-a-regulation-checklist-of-cleaning-we-must-complete-while-supervised sort of a way. The food though... Not a fan. I had heard of these mythical cheddar biscuits for years, but to be honest, they were kind of chalky and totally lacking in all things cheddar flavored. It makes me wonder if what must have been a biscuit mix was simply not prepared right. I hope so, otherwise Americans are kidding themselves if they think that that is a. food and b. good. The coconut shrimp was like eating little erasers coated in pure sugar with a bit of added artificial sweetener. The entire dish was very reminiscent of Louis C.K.'s description of Cinnabon icing. Wow! I just went here Saturday night and was totally impressed. Two of us were seated and our "Seafood Expert", Jen B., was awesome. She grabbed our drinks and appetizers right away and was super friendly. I'm not the biggest seafood fan but we had a gift card so I went for the peppercorn steak and shrimp combo. So delicious! I also had a salad with some kind of red wine vinegar dressing, that was awesome too. I discovered that a Boston Iced Tea is black iced tea with cranberry juice and an orange slice, super good! At the end of the meal, we were going to take the last cheesy biscuit in our doggy bag. Jen ended up bringing us a fresh batch of them! We were very impressed, she was excellent! Had to go to reminisce, it was another journey into the ordinary. Same decent food and usual service level, haven't been to a Red Lobster for a couple of years. The last 2 that I went to were on Locust St in Tigard and the Lancaster location in Salem. This Red Lobster has a little different layout, there seems to be a little more room between the tables. The bar seemed a little cramped, as we had to wait for a table there. The only question that I have is, where does Red Lobster get the smallest cold water lobster tails in the world? I have seen jumbo prawns bigger than the 2 coldwater tails that I got with my order. But, the price was fairly low, so I shouldn't complain. All in all, not bad not great. Just average. If you go, prepare to be dazzled with the ordinary, and not much else. read more

I enjoyed my meal overall. I ordered the cedar plank salmon & shrimp with upgraded side option of asparagus. I also drank a top shelf long island tea. The shrimp was cooked well, as well as the broccoli. Everything else was not up to par for paying extra. My salmon was decent, but I just expected the cedar flavor to be more apparent. No cedar or woodsy taste. My asparagus was shriveled, limp, and heavily flavored. The taste was good but the quality of the asparagus was poor. The drink I ordered was weak. I rarely drink but when I do I expected to feel buzzed. This didn't happen, not even slightly. :( The service, as I entered was lacking simple polite, courtesy was lacking. I believe because they were busy, but that's when they should be overly kind to incoming traffic. During the meal, the waiter didn't check in once to see how the meal was after being served nor when picking up dirty plates. Sad service all around. Food quality poor to ok. I would actually give it a 3.5. It was my first time dining at Red Lobster. The wait wasn't too bad but I purposely went on an off time because I've seen the lines and the full parking lot plenty of times. My friend and I ordered a lot of food: jambalaya, lobster tail, garlic shrimp scampi, shrimp alfredo, stuffed mushrooms, and an ice cream-cookie dessert (we kind of felt like splurging after a long week). Everything was tasty and came out after a reasonable time. Some of our food, however, was salty and everything was seasoned even the boiled broccoli. I was pretty impressed with the decor on the inside and it looked like they wanted to bring a nice warm feeling to the restaurant. The servers were quite attentive and nice. This year for Mother's Day we celebrated here and was highly dissatisfied! The prices were outrageous and the food was not worth it. The service was slow and the Loaded Baked Potato soup left a horrible taste in your mouth. Went with a party of 8. Everyone loved their food! No complaints. I had coconut shrimp which was so huge, couldn't finish. The hubs had shrimp alfredo, he also could not finish. The biscuits were way better than I remember. They were AMAZING!! We had the sweetest waitress, Nnika (I think that was her name). She was awesome. Only complaint was we had to WAIT. When they were not that busy. We could see many big tables empty but dirty. Finally the manager cleaned one herself and after waiting about 1/2 hour came and sat us with many apologies. The waitress is fast but not as good as the rest of the waitresses that served us. We have to asked for refills instead of her refilling it. But still we have to leave a tip. My son took me to red lobster for dinner with my grandson recently. I was appalled at the meal we received and will never walk through those doors ever again! My son ordered shrimp scampi which had no butter or sauce of any kind! The walt's shrimp he ordered was dry and he couldn't eat any of it. The remainder of the order was subpar at best. I ordered broiled scallops which arrived and were at best 1/4th of an inch in width and length. I've never seen anything like it be! I also ordered grilled salmon that was so dry it was in edible. My grandson could only eat half of the hamburger he ordered. The cheddar-bay biscuis were the ONLY thing we received that was actually good! We paid over $100 for this meal! Never again! read more

Would have to agree with other Two Star reviewers on this one. Order off the regular menu, not the fresh fish of the day (very spendy for what you get), and I felt like I crashed something close to a nursing-home-faire. The bay scallops and shrimp were rubbery and you felt like they were prepared food and more than likely farm raised. I hate to say it, but my bay scallops and shrimp are better. The stuffed sole was OK, but way too much of the stuffing. Getting back to the fresh fish menu, one could pay about the same price at Scoma's in San Francisco for what they were charging. Hey, this is Eugene and if you can see out the windows, the only view is of the elegant intersection with cars flying by. If you are going to charge those kind of prices, there better be a good reason like the food or view or something. The chowder, fyi, had a Snows-like taste to it and the cost for a bowl (a cup size just about anywhere else, but hey, if you put it in a big bowl....), was out of line. More spuds than clams by FAR. I visited Red Lobster on Friday, 10/19/18. Service was excellent. Drinks and the biscuits (not sure what the restaurant calls them) were brought out in short order. I ordered the blackened salmon, broccoli, rice pilaf, and clam chowder. The chowder was very thin, with not much clams. The salmon had a slightly off flavor, but was reasonable. The broccoli was _way_ overcooked. The rice pilaf was pretty good, not sticky nor clumpy, flavor was on. Except for the clam chowder, the food was not hot. It was...mildly warm at best. I guess I was just expecting a lot more, as I've eaten at Red Lobster in the past, and it was quite good. Maybe the kitchen staff was having an off day. Took my fam out for a dinner last night. We were seated promptly. Ordered up appetizer -seafood mushrooms- tasted 'off'. I ate one, my son ate one- the rest sat. Ordered up steak and lobster for 3 (2 of us had filet mignon and Maine Lobster Tail, the other a new york strip and maine lobster. All steaks ordered medium.) Picked up 3 specialty drinks too. The lobster tail was minuscule. Steak was ok. Should know better than to order steak at a seafood joint. All the food was warm, though on very hot plates. My son and I have had upset stomachs all last night and all day today--- figure it had to be the mushrooms since my wife didn't eat any and they tasted off and really fishy. The quality of the food here has plummeted, starting with the salad. Broccoli was overcooked, mashed potatoes were ridiculously heavy, lobster tail was tiny and steak was mediocre at best. The only thing 'awesome' was the bill I got... and not in a good way given the lacking quality. $170 later (with a tip because the service was good) and that's the last time we eat at this Red Lobster. read more

Went for the first time on the occasion of my son's 21st birthday. Four of us, me, wife, son, girlfriend. We had a good time. Waitress was very helpful and friendly. The biscuits were good but not enough of a reason to come back. Ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and those were certainly tasty. Followed with 12 raw oysters. Ok I love this place, John is a great bar/server when we go to this town we eat here. It is close to the mall and Eugene so you can shop and eat. Definitely going back! We were given a gift certificate, and had never tried Red Lobster before, as I usually eat at non-chain seafood houses around the country. After looking through the menu, we each tried the dinner special for $17.99, which offered a nice sampler of food, sot hat we both got very different meals for the same price. I was very pleased! Our server, Lyn was so sweet and helpful. The salad was crisp and cold, the soup was perfectly warm with great flavor. The main course was generous, with way too much to finish...oh and the biscuits! I think the biscuits put us over the limit :) Lyn kept our table full of biscuits and I think we could have died and gone to biscuit heaven. We decided those biscuits are way better than Olive Garden breadsticks. Anyways, Lyn could see that we were at our limit, so she put our meal in a doggie bag for us, she could have just brought the containers and let us fill them ourselves, but like I said, her service was great. Usually my hubby finishes his meal, but surprisingly, even he couldn't finish the generous portions. I always save room for dessert, and yet I couldn't finish even though it was delicious, so even half my brownie went into the doggie bag.
