My experience at Red Lobster started out rough, but ended on a really good note. I rarely eat at Red Lobsters but I heard the endless shrimp was back and wanted to see what the menu was looking like; especially since they haven't had this special in a while. First of all, you have to appreciate the nostalgic feel of Red lobster. The restaurant was pretty empty but at least it was clean. I took my self out and when I first sat down the lady was short with me, and the biscuits were hard and dry. I almost got up and left, but for whatever reason, my waiter came back with a smile and fresh biscuits. The endless shrimp menu was right on the table, and I started off with Alfredo, Scampi, and Walt's shrimp dishes. The food was to be expected for the most part; nothing really special! The food was average and tasted pretty bland. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with the marry-me shrimp! I actually had to get seconds. So if you do choose to go to Red Lobster before this deal ends, I will suggest you try the New Marry-me shrimp! It was delicious! We came for endless shrimp - full stop. I have mixed feelings about the changes that they've made. The meal now comes with a side. I don't remember there being a side before. I opted for the Caesar salad, which was a $1.99 upcharge (why?), and my husband got a baked potato topped with crab (also an upcharge, but understandably so). The options for shrimp were slim. They now have a Marry Me Shrimp, which was described as being served in a creamy tomato-based sauce, but that was not so. The part that was supposed to be creamy seemed to be more curdled, like the sauce had broken. Then it appeared to have been placed under a salamander to brown what was supposed to be a garlic-herb crumble. It just looked like charred cheese. I wasn't even going to taste it, because I eat with my eyes first, but it had been ordered, so I tried it. It's a no for me. The Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Walt's fried shrimp and the Coconut Shrimp were the other options and were as expected. I filled up on mostly Shrimp Scampi. Service was a bit slow. At first, it seemed intentional. Our server said that she didn't want everything coming out at once and that was appreciated. But then she started getting more tables than I think she could easily handle and we were left waiting a while for simple things like napkins and our drinks from the bar. My go-to Red Lobster drink has always been a Bahama Mama. It is always served in a tall, slender glass with a shot of rum floating on the top. I ordered one and got something unrecognizable. I don't think the bartender knew how to make one. I sent it back. Management checked in on us early on and stated that our food would be right out. That was a falsehood that we could have done without. Don't say things that you don't mean. This location is older and a bit lackluster, but we didn't expect any ambiance really. I had no idea that they had discontinued endless shrimp for a few years?? I saw a TikTok of someone eating there and developed an instant craving for shrimp. It did not disappoint. The server was friendly and kept the cheddar bay biscuits flowing. We stuck with the usuals and devoured Walt's shrimp and the scampi. I tried the marry me shrimp and the server said people normally love it or hate it. It was meh. It was naked shrimp in a light tomato cream sauce covered in panko bread crumbs. If you come to this restaurant, be prepared to wait at least twenty minutes for your drinks, even if you ordered water. About half an hour for bread, and an hour or more for your food. Spent 2 hours listening to every table complain about how long it took to get anything while the server walked around freaking out telling everyone how busy she was because she was also the bartender and there was a server that did not show up! Food that we finally got was not hot.. took forever to get shrimp refills. No drink refills were offered. We spent over $125 for almost cold food and had to listen to a room full of people complain during the entire time we were there. No discount was offered even though our server/bartender spent 2 hours complaining about how busy and understaffed it was. Our last time was today. It's been quite a while since I've been to a Red Lobster but today my daughter really wanted some seafood so we thought ok let's go. The Red Lobster I remember was relatively affordable but those days are obviously in the past! I should have gone to the expensive local restaurant! For two people for lunch without any alcoholic drinks we spent 120$ with an 18% tip! The food was fine... We had a reservation, so we were able to be seated immediately. It was a nicely decorated and warm atmosphere with current music playing. The restaurant was very clean. I went to the bathroom after ordering a classic margarita on the rocks and a water. The bathroom was a nice size, plenty of room to move around with two sinks and hand soap with paper towel close by. The water didn't warm up much while I was washing my hands and it sprayed out kind of fast causing water to spray everywhere besides just on my hands. It was an automatic sensor type faucet that I'm not too fond of, but it got my hands clean. Other than that, the bathroom seemed clean. We started off with their traditional cheddar bay biscuits. They were nice and warm, soft yet had a nice light crunch to them, love the cheesy garlic taste of those biscuits! My margarita was really tasty as well, I just wish it had more salt on the rim, but it otherwise tasted nice with a lime wedge on the edge that I put into the glass. For the entree, I had the grilled Maine lobster tail, skewered shrimp, and Atlantic salmon, all finished with a brown butter sauce, which all had its own seasoning and garnish and was on a bed of rice pilaf. For my two sides, I had creamy lobster mashed potatoes that had a creamy sauce and bits of lobster both in it and on top as well as a side salad with ranch dressing; the salad came out first. The salad was fresh, crisp, and colorful with mixed greens, tomatoes, cheese, and soft, but crunchy croutons. The ranch dressing had a nice creamy tang to it that complemented the salad well. I very much enjoyed the tender cooked rice that came with the entree. The lobster and shrimp were both hot and juicy and nicely seasoned. While the salmon was seasoned nicely and all of the food had a good presentation, I was slightly disappointed in the salmon. I love a good juicy grilled salmon, but this was slightly overcooked. The seasoning helped it a little, but I couldn't finish it because it was a little dry on the inside due to being slightly overcooked. I loved my creamy lobster mashed potatoes. The sauce was very nice and had a sort of garlicky taste to it, the bits of lobster were nice and juicy and the mashed potatoes were perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. My wife got the shrimp linguini Alfredo as well as a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Her salad came out same time as my salad and she enjoyed her salad just as much as I enjoyed mine. Her entree had tender, juicy shrimp, in a creamy garlic Alfredo sauce on a bed of perfectly cooked linguini. Her serving of the dish was a big one, so she ate what she could and took the rest home with one of the cheddar bay biscuits. She very much enjoyed her meal. Our server, Jazmine was very friendly, and attentive, always making sure we were doing well with our meals. I'm a member of the Red Lobster rewards club because I love the place. It's just a bit pricey, so we only go there once or twice a year. Despite the salmon being a little on the dry side, I will still return. I just won't get that dish again. read more

With no plans for Christmas this year, I started exploring options for lunch since the idea of eating at home had no appeal. I knew the usual suspects would be open - Chinese restaurants, The Journey, Denny's, and probably Waffle House or IHOP. However, I was really in the mood for something different and was pleased to see that Red Lobster was open for special hours. I stopped in for a late lunch. The regular menu was available and I was pleased that it was steady but there was no line. I was seated at a four-top near the entrance, though Red Lobster has some dividers and it's generally pretty private. There's accessible parking near the entrance. The entryway doors are a tad heavy, however, they're workable. Seating was easily accessible. I opted for the fish n' chips - one large hand-battered, wild-caught cod along with chesapeake fries, two hush puppies, and a healthy serving of coleslaw. Of course, the meal starts off with their Cheddar Bay biscuits. I also ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea. I feel for anyone working Christmas, however, the team was effective, efficient, and generally in good spirits. Service was good, though not necessarily great. I felt the same about the meal - good but not necessarily great. My server checked on me a couple times, though did bring the check before asking me if I wanted a tea refill (then brought the refill in a "to go" cup when I intended to linger a bit). It was a minor faux pas. While I was surprised the fish was only one piece, I will acknowledge it was a pretty good sized piece of fish and it was cooked well. I'm not sure when they added their hush puppies back, but I loved those as a kid and having them back brought a definite sense of nostalgia. This was a definite nice change of pace and I really enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and I had some time to read during lunch. As I was spending the holiday alone, it was nice to be in a public environment without being overwhelmed by it like happens in many restaurants. While seafood isn't always my thing, once in a while it really hits the spot and that happened here. While this wasn't the best experience I've had, it was a solidly good one and a great way to spend a Christmas lunch. read more

It wasn't crowded on this Wednesday afternoon. We got there after 5:00pm, but just before Happy Hour ended. We decided to try their $5 alcoholic lemonade drink special. It was pretty good. I decided to go with the Ultimate Spend Less Shrimp special for $15.99. It came with Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, and Popcorn Shrimp with Chesapeake Fries. My mother got the Wednesday special of steak and lobster. The portions were large and we both ended up taking some home. I actually enjoyed my meal more the next day. The biscuits were just as good as I remembered. Our waitress was Mary and she was very attentive. I haven't been to red lobster in quite some time. Plenty of parking along with the large restaurant. I sat at the bar, Steve was the bartender. He was very friendly and attentive. Lunch crowd was small. I ordered the coconut shrimp with a side salad. The side salad was as good, along with the biscuits. Biscuits taste amazing. The shrimp were butterflied and servers with a pina coloda sauce. I'm used to an orange marmalade from another restaurant so was not a fan at first. But once I got my mental block, I really liked it. We've had some bad experiences in the past at this location. So today we decided to finally give it another try as we typically really like Red Lobster. Our dining experience was OUTSTANDING! The restaurant was very clean, we were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Our server, Heavenly, took our drink orders as soon as we sat down. We placed our orders and the dinners came out quickly and hot! I had the Endless Shrimp - love Coconut Shrimp, which were meaty with a crisp coconut coating. The Shrimp Scampi and Walt's were good as well. My wife had the Admirals Feast which was excellent. And of course the Cheddar Baked Biscuits were hot, soft and hit the spot. My husband and I went for a date night on a Monday night. There was no wait. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and professional. My husband ordered the Monday special 'All you can eat shrimp for $25'. He definitely enjoyed the options. His favorite was the coconut shrimp and the shrimp scampi. I ordered the lobster linguine. We stopped by for lunch last Saturday. The service was fantastic and the food tasted great. However, we ended up getting terrible food poisoning. It started on Sunday night and lasted until Tuesday night. Our symptoms were: fever, chills, hot flashes, vomiting, diarrhea, and a headache. An oldie but goodie. I've been coming here since I was a teenager. I received a Red Lobster gift card for my birthday and chose to cash in on it today. We came in during a slow time and were seated fairly quickly. Our server, Mary was very attentive and cordial. They've added some innovative entree's in order to stay relevant but those cheddar biscuits are still the perfect starter. They came out hot, flaky and buttery. I ordered the cod sandwich. The waiter we had got frustrated with our birthday party, but the supervisor Christian Peek was awesome, he step in, and made everything great, and the waiter was no longer frustrated, and continued being our waiter, it all worked out. It was definitely not worth the price I paid for the meal. The lobster bisque was salty and did not taste good. The fish and chips were cold and tasted bad! The only thing worth eating were the Cheddar bay biscuits and the coleslaw. The biscuits were very good. Normally, I am a Red Lobster fan and like having dinner in the restaurant, but when I ordered through Uber Eats, something missed the mark. The cooks were not on point this night when they were preparing my food. The ambiance at the restaurant and service are usually good and on point, but when ordering through Uber Eats, something does not go right. If you're into Red Lobster, then go dine at the actual restaurant to get the full dining experience, but do not order food through Uber Eats because it is not the same experience. We came for our our anniversary. It was a Monday about 430pm, so it was not crowded at all. I got a salmon bowl with Brussel sprouts which was very tasty. Hubby got endless shrimp. It was also lobster fest. I think the endless shrimp would be the best deal. You have 4 or 5 different shrimp to choose from. The biscuits are still The Best! My biggest complaint is the cleanliness. I know everyone is short-staffed, but nobody wants to eat in a dirty place.
