I made this Yelp account just so I can leave a review on how wonderful my experience was at this location. We had an issue the last two time we visited about a month that really upset my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend wanted to call before we went back for lunch yesterday to explain our past experience which wasn't so great. Donovan, the manager, was so lovely and kind when explaining some of the possible and realistic reasons for our previous experience. Upon arrival, we really felt like we were treated like royalty! Donovan visited our table as soon as we sat down and introduced himself to us. He made sure our needs were met and took really good care of us. He's a very pleasant person and a great manager for this location to have. Our waiter Joss was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. This is the second time in the last couple of weeks where we tried ordering online and the website was having issues. The first time we ended up calling in the order. The person that gave us our food was friendly but the food came cold. The second time we had a problem with the website so we called in and ordered through the automated system, that didn't work so we tried a third time with a live person. This location sucks I wanted to take my mother in law and myself out to red lobster since they are finally open we check in told us wait was about an hour we go pick her up and now they tell us wait went up for another hour I had checked in 1:18 arrived at 2:30 we see bigger parties being seated and they told us that they were short on big tables we leave because they said an hour and 20 AGAIN we decided to get messages 20 min ones get the call I call back before the 10 min received a text we were canceled not moved down but canceled after waiting for almost 3 hours the manager was on sight and he was rude un compassionate and unhelpful in the situation and on Mother's Day no less. Me and a friend had a great time when we visited on a Thursday night, we were served by Tiana a waitress who was not only attentive, but catering. We sat next to the kitchen so I suggest you do that as well since everything came out just as fast and the other staff was just as nice. I personally had small issues with the hostess, but it was quickly resolved and they made sure we were taken care of as well. The manager was a African American gentleman who checked on us as well, which was nice to see being that he was in charge and represented Black and Brown people well. BEWARE.....Ordered a rather large dinner for Mother's Day today around noon, for pickup at 4 pm. My husband showed up at 4, called the number as instructed, and someone eventually came out and got his name. Didn't specify a wait, nothing. 45 minutes goes by and my husband calls again to wait on hold for another 10 minutes, just to get a piss-poor hostess saying "Sorry, we got over 100 orders. If you want to cancel it'll be 7-10 days to issue your refund." It's taking them over 5 hours to cook our food, but they'll hold onto our money for over a week?? WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS. Red lobster used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But after today, I will cross it from my list. I ordered the Louisiana Cajun salmon. It was topped with Pico de Gallo. It totally killed the dish, the blackened flavor was not at all present. The sauce at the bottom of the plate was bland and totally useless to the dish. I asked for baked potato and I received a very very small potato with a very hard skin. The broccoli was ok. Based on all of the above it is very unlikely that I'll coming back. Disappointing dining experience. We had a 15 minute wait to get seated at a restaurant that had less than 1/4 of the tables occupied. I got an item that I did not order. I let server know that I did not order what was brought out. She confirmed with kitchen and manager it was wrong and offered to make the correct order but by this time I had been there long enough and didn't want to wait for corrected order. I just asked to have item taken off the bill and I don't want anything else. We got the bill and I was charged for the wrong alcoholic beverage that I ordered that was $4 more than what I ordered. We ordered 2 unlimited shrimps promotions, service was so slow that tables around us had their shrimps refill 3 to 4 times and in 40 mins we were not able to get one, even though we had requested for ours already. Went the other night and had the all you can eat shrimp for 15.99. Comes with 4 types of shrimp to choose from, scampi, fettuccine, pop corn, and Spicy fried shrimp. I would definelty say the scampi and Spicy were the better two. My family and I were treated with disgusting racist behavior on our visit at your Ontario, CA location. Upon our arrival our waitress Crystal R was extremely rude and dismissive to us. We ordered the Unlimited Shrimp and told us that the special ended. We referenced the Red Lobster website for proof and she left and came back with a nasty attitude and said it was indeed still available. While we ordered she kept cutting us off and was very short with us when we answered questions about the menu. A few minutes later the rest of our party arrived and asked for the unlimited shrimp special. Crystal then reaches over to the end of the table and grabs the tri fold display to read off the unlimited shrimp options. We were appalled ! Just a few moments ago she said it was not active but when in fact she did know it was on going and purposely didn't show us that trifold. I was in complete shock. During the duration of our meal she ignored our requests for drink refills and extra sauces. All the while she was very attentive and pleasant to the non black table next to us and bringing them refills quickly. As we ended our night we asked for to go containers for our group of 5. Crystal brings back 4 SMALL CONTAINERS for the entire table. I requested 2 since I was not able to store my food and the 4 were already being used. She told me she will NOT give me TWO SMALL containers to go. I had in total 12 shrimps I wanted to take home and she refused to let me take them home. She went as far to get her Manager Keith to reinforce her terrible behavior. I was unable to finish my food since I'm a new mom and my 6 month old daughter required majority of my attention and I wasn't able to finish my meal. Keith go as far as to MOM SHAME and INTERROGATE ME and say "So just because you're a Mom you can't finish your food??". He said this very loudly even the tables next to us all looked. I was so embarrassed and traumatized that I was being humiliated and treated like a criminal for wanting to take home 12 shrimps. He interrogated my family and I like CRIMINALS for wanting small to go containers. Keith only ignited the situation further which is NOT what a MANAGER should be doing. I told him out of all the families dining you choose to humiliate , target, and HARASS the African American family over 2 SMALL CONTAINERS. He then gets extremely angry and yells "IM NOT DEALING WITH YOU PEOPLE ANYMORE" and storms off like a child. I had to search the entire restaurant for Keith and Crystal just to pay my tab so we can leave and not be the subject of further racists and humiliating behavior. I spent over $150 at this restaurant and was left traumatized. I want a full refund of the bill and for Red Lobster to make this situation right. Crystal and Keith are awful people and do not deserve to work in the service industry. The have ZERO customer service skills and will only disrespect, humiliate, berate, treat customers poorly .. especially the African American guests. read more

Red Lobster andvertises curbside order and pick up until 8:00 - then stops taking orders an hour early... on Mother's Day. After all the restaurants saying how they are struggling and need business... this is how they treat customers. If they said they were busy and a little behind, fine... keep your staff a bit longer, they probably want the hours... and at least take orders until the advertised time. I have not been to a Red Lobster for over 5 years. Not that I had a bad experience prior, just because there are so many other good options out there when it comes to seafood. But with me being spoiled with other seafood restaurants, I will not be coming back to ANY Red Lobster as they lost their mojo and cannot compete. I was actually embarrassed as 2 out of our 5 party, did not ever try a Red Lobster and I suggested this place since we were going to shop at the Mills after lunch. Red Lobster can't even bring in new people because the food was not good at all. The food was luke warm when they brought it to you. Our table's plates consisted of shrimp Alfredo, lobster tacos, shrimp tacos, chilled lobster roll sandwich( this comes chilled-the flavor was coleslaw mixed with lobster and shrimp, not good)and a small lobster tail. Nothing was good. The flavor, the food temp-its like $15 a plate for microwaved seafood and it was just for lunch. I was big sad and didn't eat all my food. Like I said the appetizers were good and of course the bread. If you want to try this place, come for drinks, bread and appetizers only. Appetizers were Dynamite broccoli and shrimp potstickers. Got a table right away and server was very prompt. She really took good care of us. Got our drinks, they have decent wine. Couldn't decide on appetizers so we got a build your own with cheese sticks, seafood stuffed mushrooms, and clam strips. Also got the seafood and spinach dip. The cheese sticks were good, crisp and full of cheese. I wasn't wild about the mushrooms. It was a texture thing for me. They tasted soggy, like too much bread crumbs mixed in with the seafood. My husband liked them, so every palate is different. The clam strips were good, crisp. I would have preferred a different sauce. The seafood spinach dip was ok. All had house salads, fresh and tasty. For dinner, I had scallops and coconut shrimp, both were excellent. Scallops were cooked properly and tasted delicious. Shrimp were good sized, cleaned and butterflied. Cooked properly and tasted great. Came with a piñata colada sauce that was very tasty. Hubby had fish and chips said it was all right. My son had a steak, it was kinda small and a bit in the tough side. The bread/biscuit they serve is delicious. Overall, service was excellent and food was good, had some hits and had some misses, but that is usually the way it is. Would I come here again, yes. Had not been to a Red Lobster in quite a while, so we took our nine year old granddaughter there as a treat after a very long day for us all. First off, our waitress was fantastic, helpful and very patient with our little granddaughter as she made her choice and asked questions. Thank you! My granddaughter got her garlic shrimp and Soy ginger Salmon which she gobbled up even though she was very tired. My wife and I both got the Seaside Shrimp Trio with shrimp linguini Alfredo, garlic shrimp scampi and battered shrimp. The food here was good, no doubt about that. I just felt that stuff was missing from the menu. A wider selection of fish dishes I guess. Something more out of the ordinary. But I guess, as a chain restaurant, they stick to simple lobster, shrimp and crab dishes. A bit disappointing since I was in the mood for some good Cajun catfish or sea bass. We always have enjoyed the delicious Red Lobster rolls before and during our meal. You just cannot beat them. I decided to get the cajun chicken linguine alfredo dish, family got the surf and turf and the salmon New Orleans. Can I just say the salmon new orleans was the best dish I've tasted by far from here. I usually have my go to cajun chicken dish but after tasting the salmon I'll definitely be back for the salmon! The side dish I believe it was somewhat of a lobster mashed potatoes I could deal without. No flavor no taste no anything, the potatoes were runny which was odd. I also loved the peach lemonade, very refreshing! Another downfall were the menus lol they were run down, peeling, pages missing from certain menus so we had to look through all the menus to get the whole menu. I felt bad for the host because an older woman really tried to pet the lobsters in the tank and the host had to speak up and say DONT TOUCH. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because the manager, Ashley, did everything she could to make up for the reprehensible behavior of her employee, Joss. It was Mother's Day weekend and we totally expected to wait some time to be seated. Amazingly, it only took less than 30 minutes before we received a message that our table was ready. Me, my husband and son were seated and told our server would be with us shortly. 5 minutes when by and no server; okay they are busy, we get it. Then 10 minutes went by and no server; oh well, we just got the pleasure of deciding what we wanted to order. After 15 minutes of watching one female server (constantly playing with her hair) running back and forth past our table without even recognizing that we haven't been helped, we flagged down a guy and he went to find our server. He came back and said our server was on his break and was almost done. WHAT? So, at 20 minutes, Joss shows up and said, "Sorry, I was on my break, are you ready to order." WHAT??? I said, "Joss, how long was your break?" He said 30 minutes. I asked why there wasn't someone assigned to cover him, and he got frustrated and said, "That is up to management, not me. Are you ready to order."? RUDE! I told him that no one came in his place. He said it seemed like I just wanted to argue with him. I said, "REALLY?" You are the one who went on break without ensuring your section was covered. He started talking loudly at me and I told him to shut up. Then, he just walked away. I thought he would at least send over the supervisor to clear things up, but he just started waiting on other tables. My husband said he didn't want to eat there any longer and we got up to leave. Of course, I requested to speak with the supervisor (yes, I felt like a Karen) and Ashley seemed shocked that Joss would behave that way. I find it hard to believe we are the 1st customers to complain about his poor attitude. Ashley offered to pay for our entire Mother's day meal, which was nice, but we declined. She would not let us walk out the doors without trying to help with the situation. She did give us some gift cards which we took to the Montclair Red Lobster and had a great experience. We (party of 5) were seated upon arrival. Our food took over forty minutes to arrive after orderingand one of the sides were missing. We let it go in fear of staying longer. After this experience I know now I feel comfortable leaving a small tip. Yes were there for over an hour and a half and yes people arrived after us and left before us. I ask myself were we discriminated against or was it the other parties that walked in more profitable for a tip. Now I think about perspective is there a line between preference and discrimination.
