Food was good. I really enjoyed the appetizers. We ordered the Hand-Breaded Calamari, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and the Crab-Stuffed Shrimp Rangoon. All three were delicious. For my entree I ordered Walt's Favorite Shrimp. I found them to be a bit overcooked however. Come dessert time I went with the Brownie Overboard which is a warn brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel, fudge, and whipped cream. Perfect way to end a good meal. Had a wonderful experience last night at a Red Lobster. My niece has a shrimp allergy (I know. Who goes to a seafood restaurant with a shrimp allergy). Anyway. Our waitress and the manager were amazing. Not only did they provide a special menu with all of the cross contaminants listed. But. They went out of their way to make one dish special so that there was no risk of reaction. Thru out our many questions, everyone was awesome to deal with. We ordered door dash from here since our hotel didn't have great room service. Our baked potatoes came with NO butter and sour cream...our coconut shrimp came with no sauce and the POUND of crab came with one small drawn butter. Also the Brussels sprouts were burnt to a crisp! We dined at Red Lobster on Intl. Dr. at about 8:15 pm on 07/29/2023. The hostess was incredibly polite and helpful despite it being extremely busy. The food was excellent as well once we got it. And here is the fly in the ointment. Our server was terrible. He got drinks for us one at a time so he was basically making his own job harder plus we had to wait. Plus he came in with our starters about 20 minutes after our main course of which he forgot one side. When my girlfriend tried to ask for another drink he simply walked away. Yet we were forced to give him a $20 tip because we wouldn't cause trouble. I hope that the other staff got a part of this. Not gonna lie, it's been MANY years since I've stepped foot in a Ref Lobster for a lot of reasons but probably the biggest reason being the fact that this was considered "fine dining" for me as a child and when I grew I tried to stay away from the more "chain food" type restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by this particular experience. Was greeted promptly and seated immediately. The server came right over ready to take my order but I wasn't ready so she came right back with fresh, hot cheddar biscuits. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it was so good, fresh and hot. I had to take most of it to go after eating 3 biscuits. The server came back with everything I needed to pack my food up including 2 more hot, fresh biscuits bagged up. I had a gift card for Red Lobster so we dropped in after Sunday night movie at Cinemark. I was not expecting such delicious seafood! My husband had mussels and the Chilled Lobster & Shrimp roll and I had shrimp trio choosing teriyaki skewer, shrimp scampi and upgraded to grilled petite rock lobster tails with a side salad and mashed potatoes. 1.Server was LOVELY JesMarie who made great suggestions and was very attentive and personable without hovering. We adored her! 2. Mussels were generous portion with scrumptious white wine garlic sauce and lots of bread for dipping. I put the sauce over my potatoes! 3. Shrimp Scampi and Teriyaki Shrimp skewers were so tasty, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The Lobster tails were tender, sweet and smoky. The food is just ok, the biscuits took 40 minutes to come to our table, the drinks took longer, we ordered soup and appetizer, never was asked if we Wanted anything else. Tempting promotions draw you in, and I have yet to dislike an entree there, per my see-food diet.:-) I do prefer their dinner more than lunch dishes. Tonight, our service was exceptional and it has most always been great. What is better about this location is how they fit you in quickly, unlike the long lines elsewhere i.e. Altamonte location. Servers here at the I-drive location usually provide a very attentive and personalized experience. They go above and beyond with the little things, which makes a difference. They never make you feel rushed, and take time explaining or showing things in the menu if needed. App rewards work easily, and are an easy incentive. The hot cheddar biscuits kept us satisfied and refilled before I even realized it. I highly recommend the Bar Harbor shellfish and linguini dish, as it was packed with all of my favorites - including scallops, shrimp, lobster tails and mussels. My son did a great job finishing his grilled Tilapia, a new addition to the kids menu. We will work on the broccoli side tomorrow. I only wish they hadn't sold out of the Lobsterfest seasonal veggies, green beans with mushrooms and baked sweet potato casserole. Hopefully they bring them back with the next promotion. Avoid this establishment at all costs! Ordered endless shrimp and a steak, took about 40 minutes to get it. Were given 3 baskets of bread to compensate. Waitor just makes excuses. They weren't even 1/4 capacity. Ask for more shrimp wait another 20 minutes only to be missing half of what we ordered. Food was good, everything else was just terrible. I talked to the manager after dinner and expressed they should eliminate the camera man coming to the empty tables and hire another cook that can provide real value. We went here for lunch around 2:35 pm on Thursday. The restaurant was not busy and we were told waitress would be with us shortly. We were completely ignored so my friend went to the counter to ask where's our waitress and he was shocked we weren't assisted yet. At that time it was 2:50 pm. We waited some more and finally a waitress briefly came by and said I will be with you guys shortly. She didn't come to our table until 2:57 pm . By the time she asked us what we wanted to drink and order it's now 3 pm . We ordered the lunch special that was suppose to be until 3 pm , she then was like oh no!! It's passed the lunch special... then goes ohhh let me check for grace period to try and add it in as if she was doing us a wonderful favor lol. It's not our fault the restaurant did not have any staff to help us!!! All in all the food was very mediocre and definitely we understand why it's slow . Terrible service and mediocre food ... for the price , I rather take my business elsewhere who provides better service. Would not be surprise if this location closes down. We arrived and were seated in a short amount of time. We sat in our booth waiting for a server to come by and take our drink orders that took at least 30 minutes. When the server did come by they took our drink orders along with our kids drink order. The adults got their drinks in a short amount of time, it took a good hour before our kids received their drinks. We were at Red Lobster for almost 2 hours. The food was good but the service could have been a lot better.
