My visit could be considered either a late lunch or an early dinner, and my visit was smooth and the main course was very tasty. My service by Faith G was very attentive and the pace of the meal was great. On arrival I advised the host podium I was a party of one and was flexible with either a table or booth, to which I was surprisingly asked, "Would you like to sit at the bar?". Perhaps he wasn't listening. Perhaps that's a reaction that is required for solo diners. I know some places want to seat as many people as possible in the main dining room as well as keep servers from having multiple small-party tables, but there were no more than 6 total tables/booths occupied in the entire restaurant, and zero people at the bar. It was a non-busy time for sure. Faith arrived to assist almost immediately after I was seated and was quick to make me feel welcome. The bread service was perfection. My Caesar salad arrived very quickly, and I think there was an easy reason. It appeared to have been pre-made and put in a cooler. It was a 'thick' salad that had a heavy coating of dressing so when you used a fork you'd get large clumps of romaine lettuce, croutons, and parm cheese. I finished most of it, but it was the weakest part of the food I was served. The chop steak with rice was delicious, with an extremely tasty sauce with mushrooms. The rice (though a simple item) was quite tasty and light with no clumps. Faith was always ready to refill my tea glass anytime it started to become empty. The dining room was noticeably clean, and one of the servers was going around checking on anything that needed to be picked up. Five stars all around. We had such a great experience at LongHorn Steakhouse. Our server Joshua was fantastic from start to finish. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything at our table was perfect. What really stood out was how kind and patient he was with my two year old niece and my ninety year old grandma. He made both of them feel comfortable and cared for, which meant a lot to our whole family. On top of the great service, the food was amazing. Everything came out perfectly cooked and delicious. I brought my husband, kids, grandma and mom, we all got there at 12pm for lunch and we had to wait so long to get seated because there was no server! I know everyone's eaten at longhorn. We know that the steak is good and that the food is flavored and good hands down. Never a bad experience but what I want to talk about is the service at this particular location. The food came out fast, it was fresh. The servers are very attentive and even if your server is busy the other servers are always willing to just jump in and help which is very uncommon. Most places they just say let me go get your server but here they were like. How can I help you? And then I will pass the information on to your server. My wife and I visited this LongHorn Steakhouse today, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a strong sour odor throughout the restaurant. It smelled as though the floors had been mopped with old, dirty mop water. The smell was even stronger at our table and became so unpleasant that it actually started to make my stomach feel upset. While sitting at our table, I also noticed a significant amount of dust built up on the wall molding directly above us. Seeing visible dust, combined with the odor, made me question the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. We stayed because we were short on time and my wife had been looking forward to having a steak before our next appointment. The food itself was okay, but when my plate arrived, I found a small coarse black hair on it that appeared to be a beard hair. At that point, it confirmed the concerns I already had about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Our server was polite, and this review is not a reflection of their service. However, the condition of the restaurant and the cleanliness issues completely overshadowed the meal. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously. With better attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this location could provide a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't plan on returning. read more

If you are looking for a great steak, longhorn is the place! Walk into this bustling restaurant and get seated fairly quickly. This I place is right across the outlets so it's quite busy location. I am surprised we got sat so fast. One thing that made me uncomfortable was that they have many tables on the floor packed together, so there's not much room for privacy unless you are in booth. The food was amazing, I ordered the sirloin steak with a baked sweet potato and broccoli. The steak was amazing and the potato was delectable and buttery. Only thing I can say wasn't great was the service, we waited a while for our drinks and bread and our server hardly came up to ask us if we needed anything so we had to ask other servers for things. Ordered pick up for Mom and I. Did not have to wait but a couple of minutes upon arrival and checking in to get the food. The service was prompt but the staff member could have been friendlier when I inquired about the check. Mom and I both ordered the Outlaw Ribeye but at different temperatures. Once I got home, I found the steaks were mixed up during packaging. Otherwise, the food was delicious as always. Our sides included baked potato, asparagus, brussel sprouts, the new lobster macaroni and cheese and a side salad. I also had a strawberry lemonade which was good. The hostess was nice but when I came back to tell them the booth was dirty and if someone could please have it cleaned for me to sit or wait for another table, everyone standing there seemed upset and one of them wiped it but was annoyed she had to do it. But after that, the pace of the meal and our server made it a better experience. Jadyn was nice, friendly, attentive and checked on us often. She answered our questions and made sure we had everything we ordered. I've been going to Longhorn for years all over Central Florida. Never have I had a problem at any Longhorn location. Until tonight at the W Oak Ridge Rd location. I've never waited so long for food at a Longhorn. You can chalk it up to being a busy night, I guess; but that shouldn't affect the food. We always ask for the Cheddar mushrooms as an appetizer. We've had them all over Central Florida and it's always the same: they taste great. Tonight they were the saddest looking mushrooms. They were so small that they only used up half of the plate normally used for the mushrooms. That should've been my first clue that something was off, but I chalked it up to perhaps them not having enough mushrooms or something. I asked for an Outlaw Ribeye steak, medium rare with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. I was served a puny ribeye steak with a single serving of mashed potatoes. I told my waiter, AJ, that I ordered a baked potato and also inquired about my broccoli. He went back and brought me a baked potato, and then told me that my broccoli would be right out. At this point I've been waiting for over an hour for the food, and I'm hungry, so I decided to cut into my sad-looking so-called Outlaw Ribeye and this put me over the edge. It was so dry and and gray that I can only describe it as well-done, when I asked for medium rare. I was served an overcooked steak. If I'm paying for food at a restaurant and service, then I expect my food to come out as I asked and complete, not in stages. It really makes you question the skill of the cooks in the kitchen and the competence of the Restaurant Manager; as well as the wait staff that may not be so good at their jobs. The only redeeming thing about this atrocious evening of "dining" is that when the manager came over to inquire as to what the problem was, he immediately complied with my wishes of getting boxes for my family's meals and producing the check so I could pay for their meal (because I didn't dine) and go home. read more

Our server wish I knew his name as he never gave it to us took our drink order which was a water and a lemonade and never returned. First time at a longhorn statehouse, and the experience was generally positive. The host was friendly and sat us pretty quickly. Our waitress attentive and delightful. All three of us ordered Filets. Two came out perfect and the third overcooked. They were quick to make it again and my wife enjoyed her now correctly cooked filet. This is a little picky, but the plate my filet was served in appeared to have a lot of grease. This was likely just the butter it was cooked it, but I really wish the plate had been wiped before serving to improve the presentation. I was surprised at the smallish menu (I hadn't eaten at a Longhorn in many moons), but they seemed to do each thing really well. I loved their ribeye sandwich, but the true star were the brussel sprouts. Trust me, they were the best I've had in a long time We sat in the bar and though the bartender was spread pretty thin, he was so friendly and helpful. We were so pleased with his service.
