We came as we have done to celebrate our son's birthday for the past four years, but left quite disappointed and will find a new restaurant next year to celebrate his birthday. My son ordered a salad, and it came with a bonus item not listed on the menu, a HAIR! Our waitress was very good but embarrassed by the discovery of the hair and told the Manager who came to the table. He offered our son another side item but was no longer interested in getting something else. The Manager said he would make good, but all he did was remove the charge of $1.99 from the check to avoid charging us for a salad with a hair. My wife had the perfectly cooked trout, it may have been perfectly cooked, but it was perfectly fishy tasting, and unable to eat very much of it. Our birthday boy ordered the fried calamari, which he's had before, but it was tough, and the crispiness was missing from the batter. The birthday boy got a complimentary cake with ice cream, which was very good, but too little too late to save this special occasion. Our daughter had the appetizer pizza, which also had a fishy smell with the seafood toppings, and for the price of $15.99 for about an 8" pizza, it was way overpriced and not good. In any case, we were surprised by the prices from our last visit, but apparently, this is expected given America's current economic conditions. I was super excited to come here with my friends after I heard about how Red Lobster has been revamping food and drinks. I brought with me 5 people who had never been before and after the experience we had this evening I don't think any of us will ever be coming back. We arrived at 7:30pm and waited about 15 minutes for a table, no problem. The host was the only one to interact with us for the first half of our dinner, she brought our waters and bar drinks. Half of us ordered drinks from the bar and the first round came out fairly quick and we got the cheddar biscuits in a timely manner as well. Again, about half an hour into dinner we still haven't met our server , the host took our drink and food orders , then about 15 minutes after our initial order the host comes back to inform us there out of BOTH seafood boils which two of my friends had ordered and the only reason they came in to eat we're out of stock. 8:30 rolls around , then 8:45 , over an hour since we ordered we're still waiting on food. During this time me and my friend ordered another round of drinks which we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for two margaritas. One of our friends got up to use the bathroom and said she saw our drinks just sitting at the bar waiting to be ran. Almost all our food came out at the same time except one person who ordered a salad and waited another 20 minutes after the rest of us to get their food. I ordered the cajun chicken alfredo and truthfully the sauce , which makes the whole dish, was disappointing. No flavor, it tasted like nothing, I tried to like it but a few bites in it didn't feel worth the money. Never in my entire life have I ever sent food back but tonight was a first for me. Mind you, me and my friend are still waiting on our drinks. I work at a restaurant and understand there are different factors that can affect the flow of service but the restaurant was basically empty. Multiple tables sat dirty, the bar was dirty, multiple tables sat down after us and received appetizers,drinks , and entrees before us. My friend ordered the Ultimate Feast and her crab legs were for lack of better words , puny. There was barely any meat inside the legs when the table right next to us ordered crab legs as well and they were huge! Food was average , the drinks were pretty good I will say but half the part of going out to dinner is the experience and it was lacking. Our server was nice and polite but after I POLITELY asked to speak with her manager because I didn't feel I should have to pay for a drink i waited 30+ minutes for her whole attitude changed. When the manager finally did come over , he never introduced himself by name, he also seemed like he did not give a single shit about being there or what he could to do to resolve the situation. I simply explained that while I did drink my drink I waited for , I personally didn't feel like i should have to pay for a drink I waited over half an hour for , which I don't think is a crazy thing to point out. The only thing this manager said to us was " What's going on over here?" and "I'll get that taken care of for you" walked away and applied a 10% off discount... All of us left extremely dissatisfied, I don't understand what's going on here but the food was subpar and the managers attitude sucked. Red Lobster used to be one of my very favorite restaurants, but last night was the very last time I will go to this location. The last several visits here have been disappointing to say the least. The waitress would not stay at our table for more than a few seconds as she passed by, and we could barely tell her what we needed before she was gone. We had to chase her down to ask for silverware while our food sat there getting cold. I had to wait quite a while when I ran out of cocktail sauce, again while my food sat there. One little container is not enough for a double order of popcorn shrimp. My fries tasted old, and the coleslaw is inedible. It used to be so good, but something has changed and it is terrible. This is one of the first places that I have gone and had a sit down meal since COVID. As most of us know, Red Lobster offers those yummy biscuits tht pretty much full you up before the meal even comes. Our waiter, Jackson, was awesome. Really great service, I felt like their health and safety protocol worked well and made me feel that eating there was safe. When we arrived one person got out to see if we were able to be seated or if we needed to wait. we had to wait in our car for a few minutes for a table since we were a group of 6. Once we sat down we were given paper menus, their menu options are limited, but still enough options to satisfy. Every other table is being used to assist with social distancing. We wanted to get a family meal deal for lunch today and started googling restaurant options. The first one that popped us was old faithful, Red Lobster! They've never let me down before so why not try the take out option. We ordered a deal with your choice of 3, and we selected coconut shrimp, fried whitefish and garlic shrimp scampi. For sides we picked mashed potatoes and french fries. A large order of cheddar bay biscuits were included, along dishes of ketchup, tartar sauce and signature pina colada sauce. Visited Red Lobster after a marathon shopping trip at Target... My daughter has never been to Red Lobster, so I enlightened her on the joys of the cheddar bay biscuits. Our server was Kiarra, she was very friendly and helped us pick our main courses. We started off with the lobster artichoke cheese dip, it was very good and very rich. The chips served with it were a nice complement. For our main courses, I chose the soy glazed salmon with scallops, broccoli and caprese salad. My salmon was supposed to have a soy ginger glaze, it didn't. I think they mixed up my order with my daughters, she ordered her salmon plain...I asked for some of the glaze and after adding it myself, yum! Definitely kicked my salmon up a notch! The broccoli was not very good, see pic. It was not very green, rather yellow and a bit flavorless. The rice pilaf was good and the caprese salad had a nice balsamic dressing on it that I liked. My daughter ordered the salmon (plain) with a peppercorn sirloin and fries. She didn't care for her salmon but thought the steak was good. It was cooked medium well, as she had requested. Overall, it was an okay meal with a few hiccups, but our server was so darn nice and accommodating that it ended up being a nice time out. We came during COVID for an anniversary, and, although the had a limited menu due to the pandemic, the atmosphere and friendly staff were unchanged. Highly recommend them. I did takeout for the first time at red lobster and I must say that the items were packaged well and accessible. We all got the admirals feast which includes crab legs. The crab legs were really my only disappointment and she could not get to the meat so really a waste. All of the other fish items were delicious. Huge portions...cheddar biscuits...cheesy nautical decor... these are the familiar qualities the Red Lobster franchise promises and certainly delivers on. I always prefer to support a local business as opposed to a chain, but my boyfriend had a gift card so we had a late dinner there Friday night. I will say nothing really was wrong with our experience except for it taking quite a long time for a server to greet us after we were seated. They were busy with lots of families and a couple birthday parties. Our food and drinks came out fast once we placed our order with the server. We ordered the shrimp rangoons, lobster alfredo half portion, and the chicken Alfredo half portion. My boyfriend asked for Mac and cheese as one of his two sides, and I kid you not it was Kraft boxed Mac. The rangoons and biscuits were tasty but sadly the lobster was over cooked and chewy. Both pastas lacked seasoning, we had to add lots of pepper to both dishes. Aside from food I felt like the atmosphere wasn't conducive to a date night with lots of kids playing on the tablets they leave for you at each table (they're used for paying the bill). It was dingy and dark inside, and honestly quite dusty. This place could use a good deep cleaning. As far as Covid protocol it seemed like they were following, with tables spaced out and several booths blocked off. Servers and staff wore masks. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table and chose to do so outside, as they don't have any indoor seating to wait. The cleanliness, service, food, and atmosphere was excellent....our waitress, Colby, was phenomenal! Even though the restaurant was very busy, from beginning to end of our visit, everyone we met was VERY pleasant and helpful. When I went to pick up my order, I ended up waiting because even though an employee came out to seat people two times, she completely overlooked me until I spoke up when she came for the 3rd group of people. Today, February 25th, I again ordered take-out. I got a call indicating something I wanted wasn't available. I called twice to change what I wanted, but each time I was on hold so long I was instructed to call back. On the 3rd call, 15 minutes before I was to pick up my food, I finally got a person and decided to cancel the order. I placed my order a full hour before I scheduled a pick-up so I don't get the lax service of the establishment. I do know I was given a gift card for my birthday and I plan to sell it for the cash value left on it. I went here with my two daughters, the service was great! The food was hot and or guy serving us was polite and on top of his game. It didn't take long at all for our food to get out and on the table. He first started with our drinks and our hot rolls. Best one I've been to in a long time. I only had one problem. The sirloin my daughter got was just a puck of tough meat. It wasn't at all of what I know a sirloin is supposed to be. The meat was tough and hard to cut. 7oz sirloin was terrible! I placed an order on the phone with the automotive service at 9:16 pm, and towards the end, I needed a specific sauce, so what was automative alerted a live person. The young lady confirmed my order and sauce. When I got there, someone said they could not find my order but that it would come up, I waited 30 minutes, and at the end, they said it was not there. Why couldn't the staff redo my order before I waited 30min for an order that was never there (according their system)? Please fix your automated service and retrain staff to act swifter when these issues arise. After waiting so long, I could not wait another 20 minutes for the food to be prepared. So I left. We came here on New Years Eve to have dinner. We wanted to make a reservation for our table but unfortunately they don't take reservations during the holidays so that we had to wait there for around 20 minutes. The wait itself wouldn't have been too bad if we would have had menus to already have a look at them and order right away, as it took a while until we could order drinks and they were brought (even water) and then we had to wait another 10 min to place our food order. It would have also been nice to be able to sit at the bar and have a drink while waiting instead of just sitting in the waiting room. But what really made me upset was that when we got our tables we saw a bunch of empty and clean tables! Why did they make us wait so long to be seated? In total of the 2 hours we spent at Red Lobster we spend 1 hour and a half just waiting to be seated and to place orders. So I would say that the service definitely needs improvement. The food itself was pretty good. We got the sirloin steak with shrimps and the shrimp platter and both were good. The only thing was that the steak was lacking salt, which is not a big deal but on the other hand the shrimps were way too salty.
