Come in and have some fun ???this place is a complete joke !!!!!!!I went there with my mom because she said it was so fabulous and nostalgic so we stopped in for a couple hamburgers when we were ordering the menu says cash only we have an ATM so we ordered or hamburgers a malt for her and a beer for me and then we tried to use the ATM we tried to withdraw hundred dollars it said it was working pending blah blah blah after five minutes we got one of the hostesses she said she would watch case the money came out. So then are pre-cooked hamburgers that were pretty tasteless tasteless came out they were not hot and my mom was on the phone with her bank because they claim the money had gone through so 20 minutes later after calling the ATM company which was not local and talking to our bank was a big waste of time now her malt has melted in my beer is pretty warm in the hamburgers colder than it was served we scrounged up watch cash we had even had to go back out to the car so we could leave a decent tip for the nice lady that served usshe's probably just a high school kid but she was nice then on the way out we spoke with the general manager he claimed to be the owner about maybe complementing us a soda or a rain check hamburger or something he was a complete asshole he gave me his card Charles B Maroney what a first class jerk this guy was set all was anything wrong with your food it's not our fault but they had pre-printed signs to put up on their window on the front door sorry our ATM is not working sorry for the inconvenience so they knew about the occurring problem but didn't seem. As a child it was always a special treat. As an adult it was a quick, tasty and economical meal. As a parent it was a nostalgic treat to share with my own children. As a retiree who owned my own business and prided myself on customer service I have to report today that the time I spent there today was a total disaster. The food was mediocre and served cold, the malted milk shake was not malted and very small for its $3.75 cost, the ridiculously expensive onion rings ordered (because the burgers did not come with fries) were under cooked with the skin still on them and the staff was uncooperative and insulting. Though the waitress and cashier were helpful and nice, I take particularly issue with the shift manger, Gay Schiller and the General Manager (who I was told by Gay was the owner) Charles B. Maroney. The restaurant does not take credit cards and they have printed signs stating so at the entrance, also assuring that an ATM is available inside. I had substantial cash on me but to be certain I had enough for a fair tip, I attempted to use the Horizon Bank ATM machine to withdraw $100.00. This became the start of the nightmare. I was able to enter all the appropriate information and the screen said "Processing Please Wait" for a suspiciously long period of time. I asked the cashier if she could help and her reply was that this had been a problem lately. After 5 minutes, I was able to remove my card using some force. The screen continued to report that it was processing and I should wait. No money ever came out. The shift manager came out and told me to go sit down and eat and she would watch it. Then she told me that she had called the bank for service and they would come out later that night to reboot the machine and not to worry. I returned to my table to eat my disappointing meal and used my cell phone to access my bank account only to discover that $103.00 had already been deducted. I showed that information to Gay and her reply was "That's your problem, we don't own that ATM, it's the banks. You'll have to deal with them." I immediately phoned my own bank and they took all the information and said they would read more

Have been driving past on the interstate for years and always thought, "I should stop at Redamak's some time." My wife great up nearby and had never been there either, so we decided it would be good to finally check it out when we had a chance this weekend. It was a BIG mistake. The place was packed, but we got a table in just a few minutes because something opened up that fit us (they originally quoted 25 to 30 minutes!). My kids ordered hot dogs, which were distinctly average. My wife and I each ordered their "legendary" hamburgers with everything. They were quite dry with very little flavor. The french fries were also very sub par. I would definitely recommend going to a Culver's or Five Guys for a hamburger that is far superior and a restaurant that is far less busy. I assume this restaurant is mainly for the Chicago folks who vacation in the area and have fond childhood memories. Whatever voodoo they used to get their marketing plan going, they should keep it up. It's certainly not good food that is bringing people in! read more

We recently had our first experience at this charming restaurant, and let me tell you, it was a delight from start to finish! The warm and welcoming ambiance was the perfect setting for our meal, and they seemed to have the capacity to accommodate large parties, which made us feel right at home. Now, they're famous for their burgers, but I had to step outside the box and go for the BLT with extra bacon. Oh my goodness, that was the bomb! I could eat a BLT three times a day, and this one was absolutely delicious! My husband opted for the burger, and the gooey cheese really made it shine - he was not disappointed at all! Special shoutout to the staff--they were friendly, quick, and super attentive. Our bartender, Christian, was particularly nice and informative, sharing the fascinating history of the restaurant with us. So, will we go back? Absolutely, it's a definite YES! read more

Redamaks is an old school burger joint in New Buffalo, Mi. If you want a burger around lunch time in the summer, you better get there before noon (when the doors open) because there is a line of people waiting for the burgers. The burgers are good and they are smothered with velveeta. I wish they had more options to throw on the burger. The chili fries are messy and it seems like the chili is just hormel out of the can. Never really had anything other than a cheese burger and fries but it does get me craving a their burger every so often. Just not so much in the summer when all the chicagoans have descended upon the place. read more

So Much Hype...Not worth it at all!!! Overpriced small burgers! Can't believe they sell overpriced frozen crinkle cut fries out of a bag!! You think they could cut fries from potatoes! The Cash ONLY thing is ingenious on their part because they have a ATM on site , so imagine how much they make off that? How can these big groups of families dine out and try to calculate how much cash they should bring??? That is what Redamaks wants to happen, not enough cash so they have to withdrawl from ATM. A must visit if you're traveling through or staying in New Buffalo, Michigan. While very popular during peak dining times the atmosphere remains accommodating with quick service and consistent product. My favorite sandwich to order is the Turkey Burger which I love. I found out that it is a housemade recipe along with other offerings that are made from scratch. They actually cut and grind all of their hamburgers in house guaranteed to make sure they are fresh. read more
