First time at red birds so good. Me and my friends are outside. It was a nice relaxing ambience. The waiter was really friendly and kind. I ordered a margarita and it was 10 out of 10. Their homemade Chamoy is really good and we shared french fries and we got a bread, burger and it was delicious. I came in on a very busy day but was still treated very quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful with picking out my meal. The food did take a while to come out but it was understandable since the whole restaurant was packed. The wait was very worth it. I love that they have a gluten free menu ! It makes choosing something to eat very easy. I also don't eat dairy or red meat and they easily accommodate. They even have gluten free buns for their burgers and sandwiches. It's nice they take reservations since it's close to campus and often busy. My family always gets the elote nachos and the speciality cocktails to kick off the meal. While the elote nachos aren't gluten free I've had them before I was gluten free and can tell you they are fantastic read more

In town from Gilbert and found this 5 star restaurant. Not anywhere near 5 stars. Our server was great. However, the food was not good. I ordered the Sonoran burger. It was flavorless. The smash patties were dry and the bun was crumbling as if it was old. I ordered a Tombstone blonde to wash it down. The beer was barely chilled and just a tad colder than room temperature. When it's 106, an ice cold beer is amazing. Unfortunately this barely went down. My wife ordered waffle fries which came near the end of our meal. The only good food was the kids chicken Mac n cheese. The service and the Mac n cheese were good. The rest, not so much. read more

Only ding is that my Cobb salad was very light on lettuce ( ? ) and was comprised mostly of the toppings, which made for an interesting "salad", especially since the grilled chicken was probably 1-2 oz total for a $5 up charge. (Totally a cash grab by the kitchen, definitely not worth it) 9/10 would recommend, and 10/10 will return. PS I visited with a friend for the holidays and our lunch turned into a 2+ hour gab fest. I left a 40%+ tip and my friend left a 20%+ tip. Would have been nice to have been offered a freshened drink or refill at some point. read more

Located on Tucson Boulevard and 6th street. I have to admit the burger is good, even though it falls apart. The waffle fries don't have a lot of flavor and just OK. I like sitting on the patio along sixth street watching people go by. The bathrooms are clean and it has the coffee shop and beer store with wine too attached. I was there Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was busy enough. I think what it's missing is the feel of the neighborhood. I'm old enough to remember Rincon Market which was always a buzz with people from the neighborhood and Tucson even though the food wasn't very good I loved having the real market next-door attached. It had a homie feel. I think with a little bit of work they could get there, but two burgers, 1 order of small fries, two drinks ran about 60 bucks out the door, with tip. I guess that's what it's going for these days. This is a hard location, especially having a burger place right next-door that has been there for as long as I can remember. read more

Matthew was on top of his game. Kind, efficient, and made us feel so welcome on our very first visit. Matthew's amazing service aside, I observed every employee on top of everything. Hosts were kind, passing servers had smiles on their faces. What really sold me was the management. I wish I could have gotten his name but the man was bringing waters to near by tables, sweeping after babies, and overall checking on every customer to ensure a positive experience. Coming from someone in the service industry, this place will exceed expectations. We will most definitely be coming back and spreading the word to our friends to come and enjoy their experience just as much as we did. Our favorite place to eat in Tucson. From ceviche to smash burgers. Only thing I would say is order your burger with sauce on the side or you'll find yourself eating it with a knife n fork. "Cheese" n pretzels is absolutely bomb. Street corn is out of world. Wish they had a phoenix location oh and they cater. Gets pretty packed so arrive early before lunch n breakfast rush. read more

Not only did she make us feel welcome, but she also managed our table with perfect timing so we could enjoy our meal and still make it to our movie right on schedule. The NACHOS!!!!! I have been back twice cause of how amazing these nachos were. The corn, the cheese sauce, the candied peppers and the salsa make these nachos top notch. I can't stop thinking about them and can't wait to go back for more. Sooooo soooooo delicious. They are huge and can be easily split between a few people. My kids loved them too. She introduced herself promptly and was well informed when I asked about some stuff on the menu. Our order was the Shrimp Tacos. I got the crispy ones with hot salsa, and hubby got the grilled shrimp with the mild salsa. We included the pickled veggies that come gratis if asked for, and included the pickled red onion in our tacos. Delicious! We just had an AMAZING experience at Red Bird! Alex was our waitress who went above and beyond to make our family's late Christmas gathering one of the most memorable we've ever had.
