I like this place. Yes it takes an hour to get seated. It's great ambiance being in the water and outside. The service is good even though they are super busy. We had the fish sandwich and fish and chips. Both were really good. I like the seasons fries. Portions for price was really good.

What a wonderful experience!!! Perfect weather today on the water with boats and a breeze!! Isabella was out server and she went out of her way to make our visit perfect! The menu is fantastic!! Such a variety of foods. Seafood, burgers, salads, spaghetti so much to choose from!! I cannot say enough about the ambience! As we were leaving the table next to us ordered a pound of beautiful peel and eat shrimp!! I cannot wait to go back. The price was reasonable too!! $48 with one beer. She beats a place a month ago that was burgers and no. Were for $39. We will select Redfin blues every time! Check out the pics! Oh yes it is really easy to get to. Check out the maps as gps was wacky and a 9 minute ride from casino was 40 minutes!!

It's so relaxing and fun to eat outside on the deck at Redfin Blue. They have lots of seating outside by the water and outside under tiki-style umbrellas. They also have inside seating. We go for the water side seating. We enjoy watching the boats on the river and the boats being removed from dry dock in the building next door and guided into the water. It's so cool! The food is very good. It's fun casual food like tacos, burger, sandwiches, fish and chips, shrimp, crab cakes, and fish. Plus they have a great bar menu. Their mojito was pretty good! Servers are upbeat and friendly. Parking is free and in a lot next to the restaurant.

Blackened Mahi Mahi dinner

Had a fantastic meal Friday night at Redfin Blues. First time here and we loved it. Went to dinner with a group of ladies from High School...we all thoroughly enjoyed our food, everything was excellent. Our server Bobby was wonderful very attentive, friendly and patient with us. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi dinner it was fantastic, the potatoes were delicious and the green beans were cooked perfectly! Others in our party had Chicken Bruschetta, Pgh Salad, Mahi Tacos and Crab cakes. Great atmosphere as this is on the river and makes you feel like you're on vacation. Definitely would go back.

Think I came on a good day for lunch , good parking good views and very calm and quiet lunch atmosphere, hidden and romantic. I had a good time with my family the staff is very friendly and accommodating, they took time to help me out with my order explaining the menu. Don't be shy to ask how the food is prepared. My daughter loves the food and I felt there was a little of everything for anyone's taste. Outdoor seating ; indoor seating , nice bathrooms , historical photos and artifacts. And great bar and wine and dating place. You can walk and exercise after eating. Nice !

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! We used the get in line feature and it worked perfectly! We had a great seat and view of the river. Our waitress gave us some great suggestions...she was very friendly! We had the mussels appetizer, and it is something to dream about...the sauce, cheese, mussels, and bread were perfection! I had the lobster roll, and it was sooo tasty! I never had a cold roll before but I really liked it. My husband got the fish and chips, and that might have even been better. The tartar sauce was homemade, and we could have ate it with a spoon!

Great location on the river with amazing views. Seating is mostly outside or at the bar. Service was excellent, my waiter refilled my drink anytime it started to get low without any prompting. I had the ahi poke salad, which was amazing. Lots of fish, the pickled veggies were crisp and had good flavor, and the sesame crisps provided a nice crunch. My husband had the crab cakes, and those were also very good.

I was so excited to try this place because it was one of the only places on the water to eat in Pittsburgh but was severely disappointed going on a random Wednesday with the service and generic food. It took us a little over an hour to get a pizza and a steak salad and with a kid on a school night, it wasn't ideal. The pizza was spicy or had a kick to it (they do have a kids menu with chicken tenders and such though) but was surprised with the heat in the regular cheese pizza. My steak salad was covered in old bay seasoning to the point I was as coughing from the dust from it, if you like old bay then this is the spot for you! The views are incredible but I suggest it as a place for just drinks by the water.

4 stars. Came for the waterfront vibes, stayed for the surprisingly great chicken nachos. Not what I expected to love here, but they were oddly perfect.

Jerk chicken tacos with green beans and watermelon lemonade
Kristen E.

Redfin Blues remains an enjoyable place for a Sunday lunch on the river. This time our party of 3 walked to the end of the island and back as we waited for our table to be ready (25-30 minutes). The waitress was busy but made sure we had what we needed. The "jerk chicken" tacos were not spicy (or really flavored at all), but the regular ribs and the lobster roll were well received. I think the watermelon lemonade was alcoholic, although I was not expecting that. Sex-segregated restrooms amd free parking in the lots under the 31st Street Bridge.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Service was excellent. We shared the swordfish with asparagus and smashed potatoes My perspective: I loved pretty much everything on my plate. Swordfish was far from dry. It was well seasoned but my husband thought it was too salty. I did not find it too salty at all. We both enjoyed the veggies. It was pricier but we had fish left over and we shared. I absolutely was full. Stuffed. I would definitely recommend. My husband would too but I'd give it a 4.5 and he'd give it a 3.5

Our server was excellent and the auxiliary staff were courteous and efficient. We started with a calamari appetizer which was a little spicy but delicious. Beware of the two Thai chilies in the mix! Next my husband had the lobster bisque. It was quite rich with a large chunk of lobster as a garnish. Our main courses were a 10 ounce filet, wild caught shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Chilean sea bass. Everyone loved their entrees. Our son especially loved the filet, it was so tender. We ordered two side dishes for the table and they were plenty for the three of us. Decadent lobster mashed potatoes and crabmeat fried rice. We shared a dessert, creme brûlée which was topped with fresh berries and served with chewy cocoa snowflake cookies. Overall the food was excellent. Service started out a little rocky. I had made a reservation online and it would only let me choose a high top. We don't like high tops so I called the restaurant a few days before and they assured me they could accommodate us with a regular table, not to worry. Upon entering and giving my name for the reservation, the Maitre D'être said it's for a high top. I explained that I'd called and we didn't want a high top. He said he could only offer us a booth in the lounge, so we took it. The lounge had a jazz trio playing and the music was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation. The server had to talk above the music to be heard by us. Luckily they took a break and when they came back the volume was lower. As we were leaving I noticed there was a whole dining room with empty tables which were NOT high tops. So why did they seat us in the lounge? Our drink orders were pretty simple, however because they serve the cocktails from the shaker, the server mixed up the dinks and poured my husband's margarita into my 'dirty' martini glass. So I had a three blue cheese olive margarita! A margarita-tini! He realized what he did, apologized and ran off to get another margarita for my husband. I had eaten the olives and tasted the margarita, which was very good. When he returned, he asked if I still wanted the martini and I laughed and said, yes, that what I ordered. So my husband got the benefit of two Margaritas for the price of one and I got three extra blue cheese olives! That was the only goof up. The rest of the meal was flawlessly served. I felt that even though the prices are high, the portion size and the quality of the food provide a good value. You expect to pay more in a place like this. It was well worth it in my opinion. And if you are there during Happy Hour you can choose cocktails and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu which is quite reasonable.

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. Honestly, this could be a meal for 2 people if you're not extremely hungry. It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my opinion due to the quality and the amount of food. I would go again.
