I hadn't realized just how short my wand for the floor attachment was when I decided to go that route instead of sweeping everything into a pile before vacuuming it it up like I've been doing ever since I bought my Hoover. I've been to Regina a couple of times now or my vacuum cleaner needs over the years. Each time, I'm glad that I chose to go back and patronize this locally owned small business and not simply purchase a new shiny vac. Stepping into the store it's like stepping back into time (in all the good ways). The proprietor greets you with a smile and asks genuinely how may they be of service. They listen to my specific needs, and offered me a very reasonable price for what I needed. They also told me how I can manage some of my own vacuum cleaner service needs so as not to spend unnecessary money in the future. It was a small thing, but that gesture showed how they cared more about me as a person, than they did about gaming a few extra dollars out of me. Little things like that have made me a long-term customer of theirs, and I will always bring my vacuum cleaner back to them for service. read more

John fixes your vacuum cleaner, Lilly fixes your heart! Lilly is the best customer service representative! She comes to greet you as soon as you come through the door. She doesn't leave your side until John or another staff member is ready to help you. She loves to be petted, and provides the shop with dog hair on which to test the vacuums! Initially, I wasn't pleased that my invoice didn't match the estimate I was given. In a very nice way, John explained that they had to replace a HEPA filter. He gave me the old one and showed me where the new one was installed. What a difference! I knew I hadn't been tricked into getting a part I didn't need. Also, they had told me it would take a week to repair and got it done in 3 days. Excellent! I'm so glad that there is a place to repair household items instead of throwing them away. This place sucks, in the good way. Last summer my expensive Dyson lost all suction and things on the home front were getting hairy (literally, we have two cats and one of them sheds enough for three). The favorable reviews led us to Regina and in less than a week Mr. Dyson was back in shape and ready to hum. Last week the belt tangled with a snag in a piece of scrap carpet and we had to bring the vacuum again. Regina replaced the belt, gave it a tune up, and we're back in business. Regina's prices are fair and the people who work here are friendly and honest, which removes any of the potential angst that could be associated with having to get your vacuum serviced. Today I called to ask if they had in stock the belt I needed for my vacuum as well as its price. I also asked for prices on a few other replacement parts for my machine. John answered in a pleasant and articulate manner and advised me they had in stock all the parts I asked about as well as their prices. I drove there an hour or so later and bought the belt I needed. John was assisting another customer while I was there but then recognized my purchase and asked whether I was the one who'd called. DON'T GET YOUR VACUUM REPAIRED HERE. We brought our canister vacuum in for repair about 6 weeks ago. We were promised a 4-week timeline. After 5 weeks and no call from the store, we called repeatedly. They never returned our call. We showed up physically to the store two different times during operating hours to find handwritten signs on the door that just said "Back on Monday." We arrived today to pick up our vacuum AND THEY LOST OUR VACUUM. There is an older, not as nice canister vacuum at the store, and our fear is they gave our nice vacuum to a different customer. The person working did not know her manager's name. She did not have a solution to finding the vacuum. She did not offer to replace or refund the vacuum. Our vacuum was basically stolen, first by Regina and then by whatever jerk accepted a purple canister vacuum that obviously wasn't theirs. We still haven't resolved this so perhaps I can change it to 2 whole stars if they manage to resolve it. We will press charges if they don't come up with a solution. read more

They did a fine job on my Miele vac. Others wanted to sell me a new vacuum cleaner instead of replacing the bearings. These guys replaced the bearings for $75 instead of over $400 for something new. I like that attitude! I must say though it took them over a week. So, have a back-up vac in your plan and all will be well! read more

I have a cleaning business and John and Ruthie are my go to people to help me. They are really helpful and have good advice. The parking lot is small but never a problem as customers come and go quickly. There is room for about 6 cars and never seen more than 3 there at one time. You got North at the stoplight and up the alley to the back of the store as it is on University and there is no parking on the street. read more

I went to Regina Vacuum Service earlier in the week and was pleasant surprised! I wanted bags that were different than I was currently using (mine are flimsy and seem cheap and could only find them online). BUT...they have them and they are great. I also needed a new attachment brush for my hard wood floors (I have a brush that I am very particular about and they had it!) Not only did they have everything I needed and at very reasonable prices they had a couple vacuum's that I am interested in. The owner John is very personable and so is the other woman that works there. It is a family business that has been around for YEARS! This is the place I will shop!!! read more

When we built our home in 2014, John was hands-down the best vendor we hired for the entire project. He installed our central vac and came out at each stage [he even worked in the framed house in below-zero temps to install the framework--AND on a weekend!]. He knew what product to recommend for our carpet style and assisted me with figuring out where each port should be in order to gain the best coverage. I'm not happy with my recent service at Regina, and I am a neighbor who believes in patronizing neighborhood businesses, so it pains me to say so. A repair was done improperly, causing damage to my favorite rug from India as well as to the runner on the stairs in our cute little granny house. The roller simply "burned" the rugs, leaving what look like 2-inch-long cigarette burns in several spots - exposed backing. Regina took no responsibility and in fact blamed me and the way I was using the machine, which was simply ridiculous since I've been using it the same way for over 5 years now and never ever had a problem until the "repair." (I did not ask for the particular belt replacement. I went in just for a new attachment hose.) read more
