Right off the bat he told me that they don't work on Dyson products and immediately gave me advice on where I can go and who I can call. To say that I was relieved is an understatement. I am a woman and usually, I am very nervous about calling for repairs because a lot of folks try and swindle you when they see that you are not a man. Not this guy, he was very nice and you can hear his honesty through the phone. He gave me ALOT of advice and right away my tensed up shoulders melted right down to my stomach. What a good honest man. One of the few exceptions is Twin City Vacuum in Crystal, which repairs all kinds of vacuum cleaners. I have used them many times to repair everything from electric cords (they can even put a longer cord on the vacuum) to broken belts to issues with the motor. Twin City Vacuum is a great value because it's much cheaper to fix a vacuum than to buy a new one - often the new ones are of lower quality. Plus fixing an appliance is even more ecological than recycling. You can also buy a wide range of replacement parts such as bags and belts. The owners are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Since I had medications that needed refrigeration I bought a small dorm fridge. That soon proved inadequate so I started shopping around for a used counter-depth fridge. Again, somewhat rare like the replacement. Was nice to find these folks on Craigslist and happy to report they delivered what I needed. The delivery people were nice and respectful and handled the stairs and drop-off professionally. The fridge works perfectly so far and I am happy with this transaction.

I baught a refurb washer and dryer 3 weeks ago signed a contract stating I'd not be able to refund my purchase which should have been my first red flag. Paid for delivery and waited for my unit to show up. Delivery went fine except for the delivery team taking an old drain hose I needed for my washer. I knew this was an honest mistake but when I called to get my hose back they said they'd call their manager and then call me back. They never called back... I called multiple times trying to get this hose back and finally resorted to "asking for a manager." To my surprise A1 appliance explained to me that they "don't really have a manager" this was the second red flag. I did get referred to the delivery manager (I guess they have managers now) Alfredo who drove in to the store to confirm that the hose was on the delivery truck. I requested this hose be returned to me since I paid for delivery service but he refused. He said I could "pick it up at the store." I'm expected to drive in using my gas after paying for a delivery service that made a mistake. No one offered to comp my gas or time and so I again requested to speak to a manager. Instead they have Lisa who's not a manager but her role is to "handle complaints" I imagine they get a lot. She never called me back but I did finally track her down after calling and explaining the situation at least 5 times. Meanwhile i set up my refurbished washer only to discover that it doesn't work plus it smells bad but that's besides the point. Lisa was apologetic claiming she would send someone out to drop off the hose which a kind man named Greg did that day. She also connected me to the service department that sent out a technician. She had spotty communication but things appeared to move forward. He worked on the washer machine and told me to reach out if there were any more problems. I tried the washer machine the next day and it still didn't work. I called back in and left a message with Lisa. She again never called me. I called her days later she answered said that they would exchange this unit for something else but they wouldn't do a return for me. I just want to be done at this point so I agree but explain that based on the lack of quality communication, service, and management I didn't want to risk purchasing another used machine from them. She said I could get an unused machine but I'd have to pay more. I asked that after 2 weeks of back and forth and multiple disappointment is there any way they'd be willing to exchange this unit for a new one which based on the "sale" was a $300 difference. The sales department explained the only person who could authorize a discount was Lisa. She said she'd take $50 off the price and I now need to pay $250 more and hope that there aren't any more issues. I know no one really believes "the customer is always right" but at this point you do what you can to make a customer happy even if you loose $250. I don't trust their ability to repair anything or follow through so i feel stuck. I just want the nightmare to be over. Ive been unable to do laundry for 3 weeks playing phone tag spending close to $1000 and the "discount" just isn't worth it. I waited to post this hoping for someone to actually try to make this right but now I need to tell the story. Don't waste your time! If you have a little issue YOU have to fix it. If you have a big issue... good luck. Most importantly... no refunds.

Yesterday I had one of the best appliance service experiences ever. We had two Sub-Zero…read morerefrigerators that were behaving strange and dollar signs were flashing in my head! I filled out a form on Thomas Service Company's website, they called me first thing Monday morning and Kyle showed up just as promised. Kyle was pleasant, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to help us. After expertly fixing our Sub-Zero issues (They're 15 years old and these were minor fixes so shout out to Sub-Zero) he also adjusted the burners on our Wolf range to help them perform better! The work Kyle did was excellent, and I was grateful for his work and professional manner. He also told us the story of their family business and that was nifty, too! I highly recommend Thomas Service Company, Sub-Zero, and Wolf. Added benefit: The total service bill was way less than I imagined!

DO NOT let them work on your appliance if you are not at home!!! The repairman who came was rude,…read moreinsulting, and did the BARE MINIMUM. We called a repairman from their company to take a look at our front two burners. When he got there he proceeded to take the top off and complained about the amount of grease saying we must have had an oil spill. This is NOT true, we simply have used our stove for cooking for over 10 years. After relaying to us the problem, he started to reassemble the stovetop with all the grease still inside, WHICH ONCE AGAIN, was the main problem. Before he could finish, I stopped him saying, "At least let me clean out the grease from the inside of the stovetop first". Then, he proceed to aimlessly stand around and watch me wipe out the inside. While I realize that I did not pay him to clean out the stove, I expected that he might at least offer to help clean the grease, which again was the main problem. Then he commented, "Time is money", while waiting for me to finish a job which took me maximum of five minutes to wipe the majority of the grease out. Even my 11 year old knows that a basic clean is common sense before reassembling something. I can only imagine what would have happened if we had not been home to direct him to do a BARE MINIMUM job. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE.
