I was a walk in for a simple oil change, and they offered me a loaner car. I decided to wait for it, and it didn't take long at all. I was also happy to find out that they have email reminders and online appointment booking. I was also impressed with some of the shop equipment they have, like an infrared alignment rack, smaller shops usually don't have one. I found my new shop for bigger jobs. read more

I had an unexpected car repair and yelped for nearby auto shops. I pleasantly found reliable auto! What a wonderful group of men. As a first time costumer (and a female) BJ took the time to explain my issues it clear - simple terms. My repairs took longer than a day and the shop offered me a loaner car so that I was able to get to and from work without any hesitations. The shop is very proactive about letting you know their future maintenance concerns but the lovely thing is they are super honest! I never once felt pressured into any repairs and BJ gave me a great timeline to which I should expect to follow. Their prices seem fair - Their staff offered me a coupon found on their website which helped lessen the blow. My car was taken here for repairs, however afterwards my car still seemed to have issues so I took it to another mechanic. I was informed my alignment was off and I had a bent tie rod and one of my control arms on my car was still bent. Reliable auto Repair put my life at risk in hope of my car being damaged again most likely to get more money to fix it again since they didn't even repair the damage they were originally supposed to. I do not recommend " reliable" auto repair as they may leave damage unfixed in your vehicle like mine and put your life at risk. read more

I've recently had a 2006 Accord serviced there. The car had been neglected while at college with my son. Reliable did great work for a reasonable price and completed the work ahead of schedule. Wow. As someone whose auto care knowledge is limited to filling the gas tank and checking the oil, it's always hard to bring a car in to a shop and not worry about getting ripped off. These guys are *wonderful,* and I feel like I've finally found a shop that I can trust. I took my car to the dealership to get an oil change, and they came back with a laundry list of repairs that were needed "immediately," including a new set of tires that they wanted to charge me $1600 for. I didn't think my tires were in bad shape, so I brought the car to Reliable Auto Repair, and they took a look and told me that I definitely did not need 4 new tires, but that they would recommend replacing one. They quoted me around $130 for the tire, which I agreed to. Then, they called me back and said that they were able to get the tire for cheaper, so the cost would be lower. To my knowledge, no car repair shop in the universe has ever charged LESS than the original estimate, so I was blown away. I told my family about Reliable, and my mother wound up bringing her car in to get her turn signal fixed the next week. She also raved about the service and price. This place is a gem. read more

Another positive experience with Paul and his crew . Again brought my wife's car in due to a broken gas cap spring and to a rumbling and skittering in the rear suspension. Paul and his crew diagnosed the problems and presented the recommendations for repair by texting me pictures of the failing components along with an urgency rating for each repair. He called me and discussed each recommendation in detail and we agreed on the repair plan. I like his efficient use of technology. I've got to say I was a big supporter until recently. My car was saying I needed oil so I made and appt and went in for an oil change. When I got there BJ said I wasn't due for a couple months, which was nice but then I said well its telling me its low on oil. So he says to me bring it back when its not hot and Ill check it. So I get ready to walk out, like a dummy, and Paul stops me to ask if I got what I needed and I tell him what BJ said. Paul went out and checked my car - like BJ should have - and tells me I need a quart. So he fill it and then charges me for the quart! Im a customer of theirs and they knew I would be back for the oil change in 2 months. And Ive referred people there. Anywhere else would fill the oil for no charge. Synthetic or not. I felt pretty bad when I left there for both reasons. It was clear BJ wasn't going to get off his butt to assist me, which I thought was crappy. I should have demanded it but Im not that way. I absolutely LOVE these guys! I have a 2010 BMW 750 Li and since I've been in Aurora, I've yet to take my vehicle to anyone else. My mechanic in Long Beach, CA took real good care of my car. These guys are continuing that great service. They tell me exactly what's wrong with my vehicle up front, allow me a loner car if it takes longer than a few hours to make the repairs. I shopped around for tires for my 2008 Cadillac SRX. I was just about set on another company when I remembered having a repair completed by Paul at Reliable on a former vehicle a couple of years ago. I had a really good experience the last time, so I called to see if he installed tires. It was a good thing that I did, because, not only did I save about $200 from what I was about to pay the other tire company, he was able to get me in and out quickly. I've been taking my cars here since 2011. Paul is an honest, upfront guy who gives you excellent service. Every time i've been here I've been given options on how to handle the situation with reliable advice. I've always felt that the recommendations and advice come from the customers best interest. They have also started using a digital inspection form, and include photos of the conditions of various inspected items. I found this to be a nice feature, as it gives you visual confirmation of the issue found (like the leaking oil pressure switch in my case, wouldn't know what I was looking at without this form). This company continues to prove itself worthy of my repeated business and works hard to keep it. read more

What else is there really to say that has not been said already!! I usually do all my own work on my cars, house etc etc. I trust no one to repair anything I own as it is usually not done to my expectations of it being done correctly. Buuuuuuuuuut, once in a great while I need an auto repair done ASAP as I have little time to fix it myself. After reading many reviews on Yelp about Reliable Auto. I took a chance. I was in the process of a total rebuild of the rear axle on my Mercury Marauder just as my F250 broke a brake line. With both my vehicles down. I needed my truck fixed quickly. Needless to say my gamble payed off. Reliable Auto fixed my F250 quickly and priced reasonably. The shop looked very clean and the owner was very very nice as we talked a little shop and about his new pickup. I'm so happy Yelp pointed me to this place. Being a woman, and admittedly clueless when it comes to cars, I always feel like I'm being ripped off, and I probably am, but not here. I first brought my car here in October for brakes and a litany of other small things. I felt like I was given several options depending on my budget, and how long I was looking to keep the car for. The work was done very quickly, and even came with a guarantee, what could be better! Recently I had a flat tire so I dropped into Discount Tire near my office where they told me I needed a tire, wheel and sensor, about $400. I had a weird feeling so I put the spare on and went back to Reliable, they were able to fix my wheel, grab me a new tire and laughed at the idea of needing a new sensor. I was out the door for $160, plus I felt like I was being treated with respect, not being hustled. I appreciate places like this that do great work, and value making relationships, not just try to squeeze every penny out of you and move on to the next sucker. Anyone with an elderly mother who is still driving knows that you can't just send them to an auto repair shop without tagging along, for they will rob her blind! Not the case here. Brought my boyfriends jeep in for repairs and when I asked if I could buy some oil from them for my own car they told me to pull around and filled/checked my oil level. After that the guy filled my windshield washer fluid just for good measure. I tried to offer a couple $$ but they refused and just said have a great holiday, wow. Paul and his team are the BEST! We are so grateful to have found such excellent, honorable mechanics. A couple months ago I brought my very noisy screeching 2005 Nissan Pathfinder to Paul. My truck had been sitting in the driveway for almost a year because it was so embarrassing to drive. For years I attempted to have it repaired, yet the noise always returned. I can't count how many new tensioners and belts were put into it. Paul attempted an initial repair which did not work, yet he warned us in advance it may not. So he had me bring my truck back and he investigated online and over the phone till he learned that Nissan had released a belt kit to correct their design flaw. Paul ordered the kit, installed it, and voila I have my fun truck back, running beautifully. He saved me from spending over $30,000 buying a new truck. Having a loaner car was so incredibly helpful. For everyone who complains that they cant find a good, honest mechanic I can tell you that your search is over if you bring your car to Reliable. Paul is a straight up great guy, honest and forthright. I recently had some repair work the dealer said I needed so i took the quote they gave me to Reliable to do the work. Paul came in over $200 cheaper. I dropped the car off on a Friday for the work to be done the following morning. Paul called me about an hour after the shop opened saying that they couldn't find anything wrong with the the car that the dealer said I needed ( to the tune of close to $500 had I had the work done at the dealer). Paul could've easily just shut up and put the part on that I ordered , charged me for the work he quoted and I wouldn't have been the wiser. Character is what you do when no one else is watching and believe me, no one was watching that day.THAT my friends is honesty and integrity. Ill never go anywhere else again and cant recommend him highly enough. I wish all tradesmen were as honest as Paul is. read more
