I've always loved this place as a coffee shop, so I was excited to give it a try when they started offering dinner! I feel like they're working to make it a little more high-end with some great food, but the food was a little sub par for me. The food was good, but didn't blow me a way. I had a "grain bowl" which was good. It had some perfectly cooked steak on it, but ended up being more like a salad. Also it wasn't served with a knife, so I found it difficult to eat. Also the service was very attentive but seemed to be less knowledgeable on the menu and some questions my friend and I had. They didn't seem very professional. This place used to be a buzzing coffee house. It's been ages since I've visited here and suddenly, it's a fully renovated breakfast place that offers a myriade of breakfast food and coffee / tea. I gave 3 stars for the food. But will try again and update my review. I will say it again, I'm not big on American breakfast and this place seemed to have an interesting and new menu. But once we got the food, it was very bland. Pretty looking and looked so promising. I'll keep trying the menu. Beautiful place, still buzzing with lots and lots of ppl. I frequent Rembrandt's often. Their food is always on point and has a wide variety to choose from. I took my mom for breakfast this morning. We arrived at 10:45 and since we were on the waitlist we were sat immediately. Our waitress came over about 5 minutes later and took our order. We ordered 2 waters, an orange juice and each a breakfast dish. We received our water and juice immediately. My mom ordered the veggie quesadilla and I ordered the veggie scramble. 45 minutes later we had not seen our server. We flagged down another server and asked if she could check on our order. She was very nice and came back immediately to let us know our order was still 4th on the list. By this point we had been there an hour and did not feel like waiting another 30 minutes for our food. The server told me this is typical for a Sunday. I have been to Rembrandts often and have never had service this slow before. I understand if they are understaffed and busy, but not once did our server come check on us, let us know our food was coming or anything. I do not know that I will go back. read more

First time eating here. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Also had an Irish coffee. Service was prompt, restaurant was clean, and the food was tasty. The gravy was delicious on top of the steak and the whip cream on the Irish coffee was sort of a brown sugar mix. Excellent. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is amazing! So much more than a coffee shop/bakery. They offer a wide array of homemade pastries, breakfast and of course COFFEE! I partook a special Americano concoction with turmeric and a shot of soy. I was blown away by the remodel. The former church house feel is now a background setting for a more contemporary feel. We've been twice since the remodel: once during the lunch hour and once during dinner. Apart from finding the change in seating practices confusing (sometimes you're to order at the bar, sometimes not. Why?), I just can't love the food. I *want* to--it sounds delicious, but everything is in desperate need of salt and pepper! Add that to the fact that the dining room decor is quite cold, and I just struggle to want to go back. This is a major bummer, since we love to eat out and it's only a mile away. That said, I could get over the seating and decor if the food were great. But it's just...not. After multi attempts going here (over 4 yrs- before & after they remodeled)- I'm giving today's experience 4 stars. True, the orange mocha had way too much Monin Orange Syrup & the gluten free Lemon Poppy was quite dry- but they had Monin Orange Syrup (whereas many local places do not) & they had multi gluten free options- including the hard to find lemon poppy I ate. And this time- very much unlike every time before- the customer service was excellent. I ended up only getting a take out order due to me being pressed for time- but I will definitely be back to explore the delightfully diverse brunch menu. I also look forward to basking in the many sunbeams cascading thru the lovely windows on a future visits. Although previous visits have me the impression this place was pretentious- this visit assured me their vibe is now classy but not so off putting as earlier. Rembrandts is the best! The food is great and the staff are amazing! Today our family had brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday and Rembrandts made it extra special! Our food and service was top notch, and they even helped me surprise my husband by serving his meal on a "Happy Birthday" plate I had brought. We love the staff - they almost feel like family! Wow, color me impressed. It is so refreshing to have a beautiful restaurant downtown Eagle with a variety of delicious menu options simply not offered anywhere else within several square miles. So many other Eagle restaurants are niche cuisines with bloated prices and mediocre food. Not so with Rembrandts. Everything was delicious and very well priced. We've been back twice in two days - once for lunch and tonight for dinner. My lamb burger was delectable and savory - and I'm pretty picky with lamb. Even the sweet potato fries really went above expectations. You know it's a good meal when you're savoring a sweet potato fry and excitedly trying to guess what spices were used to make it so delicious. The remodeled interior is a beautiful, classy and inviting atmosphere. It feels warm and cozy enough for families but also classy and modern enough for hipsters on a date. We love their homemade carrot and clam chowder soups, burgers and steak as well as the unique and fluffy vanilla pound cake with buttermilk and strawberries we had for dessert. I'm on a quest to find the best quiche and this was attempt #3! I was hoping that the third time would be a charm...but alas, this was the most average quiche I've had thus far. The spinach and mushroom quiche had no substance (it was literally falling apart and melting away) and also lacked any real flavor. The poblano quiche had good flavor but it would not be worth the trip to come here just for it. Both quiches suffered from a poor filling to crust ratio (too much filling, too little crust). Maybe if the filling was super amazing, it would be possible to overlook this but instead it just made things worse. The baked goods here are also average. The almond croissant had chocolate in it (a nice surprise) but it definitely is not the best I've had. The blueberry scone bits were actually really good and something I would have again if I was ever in the area (unfortunately, I rarely ever venture to this area - not worth the traffic headache). The raspberry Danish seemed to consist of wheat bread and custard with the taste being similar to something I would buy from a grocery store. I did enjoy the strawberry cake they had, but the taste reminded me of a Boston Crème Pie from a grocery store as well. Service was great - the people working there were very friendly and efficient in getting my items packed to-go for me. They forgot to write the heating instructions for the quiche on my boxes but I winged it and things seemed to turn out ok (although, once again, the amount of filling proved troublesome when it came to heating the middle thoroughly). All in all, this would be a nice place to stop in for a decent baked good if you are in the area, as the atmosphere was nice and the employees are friendly. I really don't understand how this place has such bad reviews. My wife and I have been twice and the food and service have been great both times. They have a great patio and the staff was more than friendly. It's in a good location as well. They have a great selection of Benedicts and classics as well such as chicken fried steak. My only (slight) gripe is I can't get a Bloody Mary until 10am as (I was told) they don't serve alcoholic drinks until then. Not a huge deal since the food is solid. read more

We were here with a large party, 20+, and the waitstaff was so attentive and got everything perfectly right. All the food arrived within two minutes of each other and even though we had several separate checks we all got the correct bill. The food was absolutely excellent. Loved the Kobe burger and fries, but all the food looked amazing and fresh. The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. Loads of outdoor seating even in November, because it was a beautiful day. Been a long time since we came back to this place. First time we have come back for coffee and a snack. The new ambiance and setup is nicer than before. The place is being kept clean. The service is good, and the food has improved. About the only complaint is that it can be so noisy, even if not full. We are reluctant to return when it is that noisy. read more

We went to Rembrandt's for our first time today (08-14-21). I cannot recommend eating here and I will give a list of reasons why; 1. We sat outside and the flies are out of control 2. Coffee was Luke warm and not good 3. Cinnamon roll was rock hard 4. Chorizo scramble was undercooked and the cheese on top was not melted 5. Over priced for what you get 6.
