CSA or customer service All-Star Beatrice
    Robert G.

Came in here with some family and went to town on everything from enchiladas to tacos too fajitas. The little one with us ordered from the kid menu and had the chicken tenders, Shirley Temple to drink, and a hot fudge Sunday. Food and drink are always solid, but it's the servers that makes this place so special in my dear opinion. Vet server Beatrice-pictured (again) was the CSA (CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL STAR) of this experience. We've had her before, and as many of you may already know you're in great hands with her. To be honest, she runs rings around people 10 years her junior. Talk about a fireball of energy! Thanks Beatrice, your credit to the El Torito brand!

Dined here yesterday (party of 5) after a cruise event in the area. For a Sunday afternoon there was hardly a wait. The food came out fast. So why 1 star? Our server was great up until it was time to pay. We all gave him our cards and said to just split it evenly 5 ways. I don't know how he managed to mess up simple instructions but my card was charged 3 times! So now I have to place a dispute with my bank. So yes, I'm annoyed. I did not get the servers name but my receipt says Guadalupe.... So either that's his name or someone name Guadalupe is the one that ran the cards and didn't follow simple instructions. Also, the table next to us had a dog. There should be an outdoor patio area for people who want to dine with their fur babies. Not a fan of animals being around food or inside of restaurants.

Charged for Sea Taco Trio. Not ordered or received!

Went out with party of 5 last night August 8th 2026. Our waiter was Faustino. He got the order wrong at first and had to reorder a dish which came late. When we received the check, Faustino tried to explain that they had an improper charge for a dish that was taken off. I told him, if it was taken off, why is it showing as a charge? He looked confused then took the check back and brought back another check with the $20 charge eliminated. The he explained that the $10 charge for birthday flan was taken off. Upon looking at check, I told him again if the flan is taken off then why is it still showing on bill? He looked confused again and took the bill back and brought another bill with the $10 taken off which I paid. When I got home last night, I noticed that he had taken off the flan, but the $20 was on the check again and I ended up paying the $20! I then had to call the restaurant a total of 3 times. I was put on hold for 20 minutes each time and nobody ever came back. I am still trying to resolve this issue. Very poor management! We frequent this El Torito very regularly. Sadly, thus will be our last visit!

The flood of 5 Star reviews for El Torito are questionable and Yelp should take a closer look at them. This was a 5 Star spot back in the day, but it's just okay now in part because it needs an upgrade. The ambiance is old school and at times the furniture along with everything else feels a bit grimy. They seem to be understaffed, so who has time to properly clean? Also, the service is lackluster. The restrooms are painfully small, you can barely turn around, and if two people are in at the same time they are bound to shoulder bump, and there's no ventilation. Need I say more? The food is decent these days, not great, and frankly, $17 for a margarita is a rip off. It's just a margarita. The combo plates and fajitas are the best options. I tried the Chicken taco salad and it was the best of all the salads, I would get it again. I mainly come here because my mom loves El Torito and insists on coming here for her birthday and any other special occasion. I took her to an upscale Mexican restaurant once and she fussed that she preferred this place. What!? Okay, fine, next time. What still makes this location stand out is the amazing view of the water. You can enjoy watching the boats going by and the seals lounging on the docks. That's about it.

    HH QUESO DIP

I don't remember when the last time I've been here was. We were in the area killing time and grabbing a drink was good option. Tuesday afternoon was pretty quiet. Give or take a few people inside the whole restaurant. We just wanted a drink as we were picking someone up later. It was still a little early for happy hour. We still had a half an hour till it started at 3. While waiting, we ordered a draft beer. Regular price before HH. What's nice, they still offer free chips and salsa to enjoy. The salsa alone was great. Bar area was pretty quiet but did pick up a little around 3 when it was happy hour. Another round of draft beer. Can't beat 4.00 and cheap eats. We also ordered the queso dip, 4.00 and the carne asada fries, 8.00. Dip, you can tell it was canned cheese. It was ok with the chips but was pretty thick even though it was hot. The carne asada fries, it was good. Fries were a little overcooked but it was fine. That was accompanied by sour cream drizzle, pico de gallo, jalapeño and a scoop of guacamole. Portion wise it was small but for the price it was fine. They did have a few selections of cheap eats and drinks for HH. I noticed they were setting up a buffet across from the bar which could be part of happy hour. Not sure but it seemed like a taco bar of some sort. Overall it was fine. Cheap eats and drinks were nice. There's PLENTY of parking in the paid lot. It's also a nice view of the marina.

    A very tasty margarita

It was my first time coming to this location and I was amazed of how delicious was the buffet. The quesadillas in the taco station were really good. Not to emotion the mole. I loved how everyone was very attentive when we were eating. My server Maribel was on point with my $5.00 Cadillac margaritas that were delicious. Eli the manager was very attentive checking not only at our table but at other tables. I'm definitely coming back for brunch everybody was very friendly from the beginning on waiting for our table until we walked out. I can't wait for Sundays :)

They sneak a 5% surcharge to all bills here. The rice and beans and corn bread are all mushy and tasteless. All the surfaces are sticky and dirty. The staff looked stressed out of their minds. The mixed drinks are watered down.

I came to El Torito not really knowing what to expect and left super impressed. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming -- perfect for either a casual night out or a family dinner. The chips and salsa came out right away and were fresh. I ordered the fish tacos and fajita combo and everything was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and came out hot. Portions are generous, so come hungry. Service was attentive without being overbearing -- our server checked in often and made sure our drinks were always full. Honestly, El Torito feels like one of those spots where you always know you'll get a solid meal and good vibes. I'll definitely be coming back!

Taco Tuesday never disappoints. I haven't been in a while but still just as good. Taco shells and meat, as well as corn cake and beans are portioned out and served to you. You get to choose your toppings yourself .

Are the bottomless mimosas only on sundays?

Hi Julio, we also have bottomless mimosas on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm $14.00 dollars per person.

Is there ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SUNDAY BRUNCH at this location?

YES - they now have AYCE Sunday Brunch as of Sept. 2023 - including bottomless mimosas!

Do they still have outside eating?

Yes, but when I was there I believe there was not enough wait staff to accommodate the outdoor seating.

Is happy hour still being offered?

They might still call it happy hour, but the last time me and my wife were there the drinks were so watered down it didn’t feel much like happy hour.

Anyone know if they've got the lunch buffet like the other El Toritos?

    Yes

Heya! I loved this Torito spot -- wondering if they still have a buffet available on the weekends?

Hi Albia! Thanks for your question, happy to let you know that this location does have a plated brunch menu available on the weekends...and it's delicious!

Even with the crowds, service has consistently been fast, efficient, and attentive. The food is very good, and the energy is always lively. My most recent visit was no different. Everything ran smoothly, the tacos were great, and our servers stayed on top of things throughout the meal. The only odd part of the evening happened as we were getting ready to leave. I stopped by the bar and asked the bartender for a cup of ice. He acknowledged me but never came back with it. While I was waiting, another guest next to me mentioned he was also having trouble getting service at the bar, while other customers appeared to be getting helped. I don't know the circumstances and don't want to make assumptions about why that happened, but it definitely felt strange. After waiting several minutes, I went back to my original server and she had the ice for me in about a minute, which reinforced my overall impression that the service team is generally very attentive.
