Found this diamond in the rough by accident. And I'm so happy I did. I was traveling to Sacramento from Stockton to go to court. And I waited until the moment I was leaving to print important documents and my printer wasn't working. It's 5am and was searching for a place to print kinkos or fedex even the library nothing opened until at least 8am. Then I somehow found this cafe opened at 5am with a printer? They are also located a 2 min drive from i-5. You just upload your documents and pay online then go enter a code and bam printed documents. I got to grab a delicious coffee and bagel sandwich and arrived to court with time to spare. The service was prompt and professional. Will definitely be back for that coffee. read more

Over $4 for this Vietnamese iced coffee and I didn't notice until I got out to my car that this is the small amount I was actually served and half the cup was just ice. When I went to pick it up, the shop had closed early. I called the next day and was told to come to the store to speak with the manager. I do that. When I walk up to the register, the owner is explaining something to the cashier. Neither takes a moment to even acknowledge me. When he finally finishes, he walks away as though ignoring a waiting customer is normal. I explain the issue with the cashier. She asks him something, and again, without even glancing my way, he's going back and forth with her. When he finally addresses me, it's with the utmost attitude. All he can do is repeatedly tell me that they were closed that day. Yes, obviously that's the issue. He very reluctantly decides to give me my order, but I just want a refund. He claims to not be able to do so. He takes down the confirmation number, but I know he won't do anything about it because he didn't bother taking down my information. I wanted to try this coffee place after looking at the reviews and I was so disappointed by one of the worker's attitude towards a customer. My wifi wasn't working for me but I didn't want to stay after I overheard the worker telling the customer that she should've been faster after her food was taken by someone else. Like what?? Their system seems to be unorganized for that to happen because another customer also got their food taken. I get that it's busy but when customer's food gets taken, don't blame the customer. Saying out the order once and leaving it there when it's already hard to hear can cause that to happen. Anyways, the snickerdoodle drink I got was pretty good. Came into this coffee shop and was greeted in! I ordered a medium iced latte and a cookie, the iced latte taste great, it's not too strong, however you can still taste the expresso. The cookie however is the best cookies I ever tasted in Elk Grove, and possibly Sacramento. It was a chocolate chip cookie and I could describe it however I want you to come in and try it yourself! This is also a great place to study, it's not too noisy and they have free internet! This could also be a good place to catch up with a friend or a group of people, they have a long table that can fit about eight people. I'll be back! read more

Ordered Zoot Suit and Vietnamese coffee. It was disappointing. We weren't greeted walking in, which was ok as they seemed busy. When it was time for us to order, the girl sounded like she didn't wanna be there. We also waited for our Vietnamese coffee order. 3 orders after us got their drinks before us and when we finally asked them if we're ever getting our order, it was just sitting there. They forgot about it. When we received it, it was disappointing. The Vietnamese coffee was not worth it. The cup wasn't full, and barely had condensed milk. The barista said it's supposed to be just 3 shots of espresso... which was odd. If they're going to serve this, they should use a smaller cup because it looks really bad how it's only half way full. It also tasted very bitter. It should have a hint of sweetness from the milk but tasted none. Zoot suit was also ok. Overall, not worth it. read more

Visiting the area and always willing to try a new coffee / tea place. I ordered the peach tea which was lacking flavor but drinkable. I would be willing to return and try one of the many coffee options if the service was inviting. I suppose I'm used to a more friendly atmosphere. Upon entering there were two employees talking amongst each other. I eventually spoke to them and went from them. The place is definitely a nice local spot to sit with others or simply enjoy a moment with yourself. We stumbled upon this cafe in Elk Grove, and I was amazed by how cozy this cafe felt inside! It was perfect for studying. They have an abundance of outlets, and even a water station and wireless printing. Outdoor and indoor seating are both available right now. The barristas were friendly and talked about their experiences coming up with the drinks. I ordered an iced horchata latte, which was surprisingly not sweet at all and just full of cinnamon. The iced matcha latte uses organic matcha powder and was also refreshing and delicious. I would highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

They remember my coffee canister, coffee bean blend and they remember how you treated me. They apologize each time without me saying anything about the incident that brought me here. Came in here for the first time today and was extremely disappointed in the barista or manager (Anthony)'s bad attitude. He took our drink orders with his back turned to us and immediately followed with a "together or separate?" In attempt to cash us out. When we asked to order food he threw his hands up and snapped "well I'm still waiting for someone else to get here at 7". It was 6:52 and the shop was completely empty. We hadn't even said what we wanted to order yet nor did we imply we were in any kind of hurry. We asked politely if that meant we couldn't order and he snapped again with something the lines of "I mean I'm just telling you if anyone comes in" while shaking his head. Our avocado toast came out with a missing ingredient, and when we asked if they were out he just mumbled "uh yeah". I'm in the industry and understand customer service, and I definitely won't be back here. The drinks are okay and food is average. Just had a wonderful experience at Rescate coffee today. I ordered a drip coffee (black) and a " build your own sandwich." The gentleman with the glasses at the cash register went above and beyond. Before I finished my order, he checked to see if the particular roast I ordered was fresh. Then, when I asked about the "build your own sandwich", he was polite enough to explain how it worked to somebody that has never ordered one before, all without making me feel stupid. These two acts stood out to me, because in a world where people take the saying " the customer is always right," way too far, I feel like pleasant interactions with employees happen less frequently. This happens to no blame of the employee (unless they are just a really crappy employee). Anyway, the coffee was as expected. How is it that I have never written a review of Rescate? I'm so fortunate to live in an area where the coffee culture is experiencing a boom. Rescate is one of the anchors of this culture, located right off the 5, it literally welcomes you into Elk Grove. They roast their own coffees in house and if you ask very nicely, they will even give you a tour of their facilities. Rescate is heavily involved in the local community, from the various fundraisers they host to championing the cause of rescue animals. But, you ask, how is their coffee? They have unique offerings with a nod to Latin flavors like El Toro, Mexican Mocha, Hot Mexican Chocolate and the Horchata Latte. They also have Vietnamese coffee and Matcha drinks. My personal fave is their cold brew. They have pastries from Bella Bru and gluten free items from Pushkins. I like to come by on Saturdays to people watch and enjoy a ham and swiss croissant which you can add an egg to also. All in all, it's such a fantastic local gem and integral part of the Elk Grove community. read more

Their menu options are not typical and they have interesting combinations that are delicious! They also have sugar free options that are quite tasty! Our group came at around 2 PM on July 12. We ordered individually. I ordered an Iced Mexican Chocolate with Cherry, Almond Milk. I was charged 8.70, paid and thought to myself - that's pretty expensive. Today, I checked my receipt - ORDER # 146009. I was charged for Almond and Oat Milk. Each for a $1. My order should have been 7.70 which is more reasonable for a large drink and comparable to other coffee shops. The drink itself is really good. I just hoped that the cashier would have double checked my order before charging me. read more

One of my favorite local spots in Elk Grove. The interior is small and can fill up fast, but when the weather is nice, they have a ton of outdoor seating which is great. The coffee is phenomenal. I have loved any drink I have tried, but I think my favorite is just a mocha! So good. All of their breakfast options are wonderful as well, I love getting a croissant breakfast sandwich. They recently started selling Pressed brand juices and I love that feature as well to grab for a pick me up later that day. read more
