While the pricing was good, there were some corners that were cut unfortunately. The issue started when we had a HVAC company come in to service our AC. That employee pointed out the current setup was not up to code and could lead to problems down the road. We setup an appointment to have a plumber to come out for a 2nd opinion. Once the plumber came out, he really helped point out the shortcomings of the newly installed water heater setup. I found this place online on a Sunday night when most places would be closed and I am so glad I did! I had a situation where both showers were clogged, then randomly drained along with both toilets, which lead to a mainline clog. Of course it was a Sunday. I called and they were very helpful and got me an appointment the next morning. They came early the next morning and assessed the situation, and were able to fix the problem the same day! They were very nice, efficient, and talked through every process before doing it so there were no hidden charges or surprises. They even said they would come out within the year of fixing a mainline clog and check to see if the tree roots are back (hopefully not!!) So glad that I chose to get a third opinion and found Resolved Home Services to fix a leak in my tankless water heater and bathroom shower. I had the pleasure of meeting Travis (the owner) who completed this service. Prior to contacting this company, I had plumbers who were hesitant in removing parts from my water heater (it was a Nortiz 2012 model). They even recommended replacing the whole system, which I did not want to do if mine was still salvageable. Travis though, knew the ins and outs of my model and found where the leak was coming from. He was able to order the replacement part over the weekend and finish the job the next business day. I was very impressed on how knowledgeable he was when it came to repairing tankless water heaters. He even followed up to make sure everything was running smoothly. You can tell that Travis really cares about his costumers by the quality in his work and strives to do the most cost-efficient approach first. We have been using Resolved Home Services for our plumbing needs for years now because they are simply the best! We recently suspected a leak in our upstairs bathroom and called them out. They ran a camera down the drain and promptly found the leak in our pipe behind the wall. We had installed beautiful cabinetry a few years ago and were horrified at the thought of cutting out the whole back of the cabinet to reach the pipe. If I could give Resolved Home Services team a 10 star I would. I called them to fix a water leak in the main bathroom of my house. The call representative was patient, efficient and thorough and scheduled me for same day service with a 3 hour window. To my surprise someone named Travis was able to come 45mins later and was able to resolve our issue within 1 hour. With plumbers, contractors etc. they can get tricky and "upsale you" but not Travis... he was straight up with me and told me what to do for a short term fix and then what to look ahead for in the future for a long term goal, as this leak would happen one day again... I know nothing about plumbing so it was refreshing to deal with someone that had integrity... and provided me with legit choices and explanations!!! (I never received the Model #); (also had problems with garbage disposal, but it miraculously fixed itself the day before Resolved came so no work needed for that) COST:$640 minus the Overcharge $69 that was corrected PROs Very good advance notifications of appointment times and updates on arrival. 1st Contact made with Ray= very pleasant, straight-forward, funny guy made me laugh instead of irritated at unable to reach. Ray said the $69 Dispatch Fee would be applied to cost if more than consultation and work was actually done (but WAS added so had to contact them to correct). Shilo did a nice job installing the faucet and was very pleasant and professional. CONS Although a high-end brand, I have had problems with Moen before, and the first thing they ask me when I've called is "What is the Model Number" that you purchased. So, When the Resolved invoice did not include the Model# (only stated Standard Kit Fct Sgl Hdl w/Spray (3 Hole) Moen or Kohler), and the Installation Pamphlet was BLANK at the "Purchased Model Number: section, I contacted Resolved 3 times over a 10 day period requesting they send me the model #. When I finally called after no responses, I was told they would try to find that information. I gave up after still no response by the following week. So I checked online to try and find my model so I could at least tell Moen what it looked like if I had problems. The one I found that looked and worked exactly like my new one was listed retail for $159 to $169 (Moen 87233 Adler One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet with Power Clean, Chrome). So the total price I was charged including the installation seemed high to me. FIRST REVIEW BEFORE WORK DONE. Thanks, Wade. But Ray saw a 'missed call' on his phone and called me yesterday. We set up an appointment for tomorrow morning with Shilo. Ray was great on the phone. I've had one of those awful weeks where everything went wrong, and Ray somehow got me laughing for at least 15 minutes on the phone - so a very happy Customer experience so far and I will update this after the appointment. We needed someone to inspect the sewer line on a property that we intend to purchase the same day due to a tight deadline. Resolved responded to my Yelp request within minutes, quoting a reasonable price and agreeing to come out at 1:00 the same day. They arrived on time and inspected the line with a fiberoptic endoscope, determining that the line was in good shape but just needed a pressure clean. I found Resolved Home Services online by looking for someone to service our tankless water heater that just stopped working. I looked at reviews and decided on them. They had 5 Stars and for a very good reason! This was in August 2022. Travis came out same day I called and gave us Every option we had to fix or replace the water heater. He had Very good explanations for choosing Any option. It was "resolved" that same day! We have since had him come out for other home emergencies that required a home remediation referral from them. We had to cut out part of a first floor ceiling to fix damage from a problem happening on our second floor. Always stressful to have to do something like this and pull apart a bathroom to fix things. But I'll admit having Travis from Resolved on my side of making sure it all got done properly, I just felt more at ease. I knew it was going to be done right. I'm finally writing my review for them because I feel they deserve it and all you customers out there looking for a company you can trust to do the job right! A company that Knows what they are doing! And is Not going to nickle and dime you for little things that they have done in addition to what they came for! Travis replaced two shower heads. One wasn't putting out hot water anymore and I thought it was related to the tankless water heater he had recently replaced. But it was because the shower head was completely calcified and the water wasn't able to pass through well enough and for some plumbing reason the hot water was going cold after a few minutes. I had a great experience with Cody yesterday. We needed a replacement for sink faucet/handles and a toilet fill valve. Cody came in (masked), confirmed my request with me, and got straight to work. Some of the internal sink faucet parts were stuck and he spent considerable time and effort separating those, but he had a positive attitude the entire time and focused on getting the work done. He gave realistic expectations which I appreciated. And he cleaned up the sink and counter afterwards! Thank you Cody, you exceeded expectations for your job here and I do appreciate that. The new faucet handles are working fine, and the toilet hasn't made a sound since you fixed it. It was also easy scheduling an appointment, and I got text updates about which technician was coming and when they'd arrive. Another bonus was that the tech who quoted me included a $50 coupon which I didn't even know about. That was a pleasant surprise. PLEASE READ AND DON'T GET RIPPED OFF: -Travis arrived the day after I called. I chose RHS because they said they do not charge HB residents for an estimate. -Upon arrival, Travis asked if I had had any work done on my heater in the past. I advised I purchased my place three years ago and had not done anything to it. -He opened the system and said one side of the heater was not getting enough voltage. I asked how much he thought it would be to repair and he said he would have to check if they had the part in stock and would call the next morning. Cost to repair would be about $700. -I then asked how much a new heater would be. He said that apart from the new system and installation, a permit from HB was needed and that the permit costs $500. -I then asked if maybe the filter needed to be replaced (he never even looked at the filter). He said it's the heating system and if I wanted a filter I wouldn't be able to get one on my own. He said a filter costs $150 and if I called him, he would sell to me for $120. -Travis never called in the morning so I called them. I was advised to fix the system would be $700 and for a new heater $1,000+. -I looked on the internet and a permit with the application would be about $80. From there I decided to get answers on my own. -I opened up the filter and it was dirty. Filters were about $40 online, but was able to find a local plumbing store that sold it to me the same day for $90. I installed the new filter on my own after looking at some YouTube videos and I now have hot water with no problems. -When Travis did call back, I told him $500 seemed very expensive for a permit and he said it included the cost of the inspector who would be on site ensuring it is installed correctly. He was still standing by this story. -The part that got me out of this whole ordeal was that Travis was telling me about how there are so many "other" dishonest plumbers out there. I now will do my homework before calling for maintenance to educate myself on the subject and will definitely NOT hire nor recommend Resolved Home Services. read more
