The venue was amazingly beautiful, both the rooftop and the main ballroom, but the mics were cutting in and out and it was hard to hear both the vows and all the speeches. No complimentary drinks, restaurant credit or other services. No pool. $40/stay is one thing. $40/day for nothing is outrageous. Does management care? Horrible customer service! Went with two friends on Saturday during Boston Marathon weekend. One of the best weekends of the year. Both traveled from different states to go a special Paul Revere, reservation only party on the rooftop deck. Friends dressed up like a revolutionary's for it. Upon arrival we went to rooftop only to find out it was closed. After speaking to concierge at front desk, we were told it was canceled because DJ didn't show up. He went on to say he "found out about it when he arrived on shift". They had several hours to notify us of this and didn't. There were several other great events we could have gone to. We chose theirs. Huge mistake! Only the next day they offered anyone a free drink if we come this weekend for a different $30 entrance event. Horrible customer service. I'm not paying $30 just ti get a free drink. I have no desire to ever go to the Revere Hotel again. read more

This was my first time staying at the Revere Hotel Boston Common, and while the customer service was good during my actual stay, my experience completely changed once I needed assistance after checking out. I stayed for one night, from 8/8 to 8/9, and my actual hotel charge was $467.02. However, the hotel has now taken a total of $1,077.04 from my debit card -- the correct $467.02 charge plus an additional $616.02 charge that I did not authorize. I checked out on 8/9, and the additional $616.02 charge appeared on my account on 8/10. I immediately reached out to the hotel by email to have this corrected. It has now been several days, and I have received absolutely no response and none of the funds have been returned. I have also tried contacting the hotel directly, but the front desk has not been able to connect me with a manager. I have been unable to reach anyone in accounting or anyone who can actually resolve the issue. I understand that mistakes can happen, especially with hotel billing. What is extremely disappointing is the complete lack of communication and accountability afterward. If you have mistakenly charged a guest more than double the actual cost of their stay, the least you should be able to do is respond to them and explain what is happening. As of now, the hotel has taken $1,077.04 for a one-night stay that should have cost $467.02, and I am still waiting for my money to be returned. The hotel itself was nice and the service I received while I was there was good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, good customer service shouldn't end the moment a guest checks out. I hope someone from management sees this and takes responsibility for resolving the issue. read more

I have to start by saying that the location is great You can get anywhere pretty easily The gym I'm meh... sad Didn't try restaurant but there is one on the premises They also have a rooftop bar that's pretty nice but closes at 10?! Kind of crazy! If you're on a lower floor and you're there on a weekend be prepared for the music billowing past your window. There are a lot of clubs and bars and the party continues into the wee hours The service was professional and the rooms are really large with a separate living room with tv that you can close off from the bedroom which also has a tv This makes it good if you have a big group I will say that the bathroom was a disappointment It was oddly placed at the entrance to the room prior to the living room portion Literally, it's next to the door it's like a closet and seems like an afterthought My friends had the same layout It had nowhere to set your things out , terrible lighting and mildew. The grimy white small tiled shower with the dilapidated shower head with poor water pressure wasn't any better. Not good! As I said, it's a big room and good location (LOL) Oh and it has two balconies that you can open the sliding doors and step onto. Crazy! Considering most hotels windows no longer open. Very nice boutique hotel in a great location near bars and restaurants and parks. Very friendly staff and they let us check in at 9:30am on a Friday. The rooms are very clean and roomy and they all have a balcony where you can see the city. However you have to stand as there are no chairs. The restaurant is beautiful and has great options for snacking or a full meal. They also offer room service. There is a rooftop bar and restaurant but sadly it is closed in the winter. I would definitely stay here again when in Boston. read more

Common areas and room needed better cleaning and updating. Dust, dirty shower grout, wall paper in bathroom pealing, wipe and scuff markings, stains, etc. Gym was underwhelming. Just had basics. Toilet flush was extremely loud and forceful. Sounded like it would flush the bathroom away. Curtain in room missing half of it. Outdoor commons balcony closed and not available due to change of hours. Coffee in lobby always out. Although no charge, Mini frig and microwave had to be requested for deliver to room. Mini frig although working looked beat up. For this level of hotel, I expected better. read more

The front staff were great. Very accommodating. Early check in and late check out- no prob. The room was big. It looked newly updated. Very big TV. We stayed on Valentines night so it was a little bit pricier than it might normally be but it still wasn't that expensive. The location was excellent. There was a CVS at Dunkin' Donuts and a Panera bread nearby. The room was clean. The linens were crisp and fresh. We really have no complaints. My only issue was the $40 amenities fee. Seems a little deceptive. Just include in up front room price. read more

I very rarely have an opportunity to experience a stay at a Boston hotel as I live in the area, but I recently booked a last minute stay at the Revere Hotel. December prices at downtown Boston hotels were ridiculous, but Revere Hotel was reasonable. The location is close to the Boston Common, theater district, Chinatown, and only a 15 minute walk to the financial district. Even as a local, I really enjoyed the decor and theme of the hotel. Paul Revere / revolutionary images everywhere - so nice to sense your unique location rather than the standard chain hotel decor where you feel like you could be in any city or strip mall in America. It's a city hotel in an old city, so there are signs of wear and aging despite the updated decor. The room itself was comfortable, and rather importantly, it was quiet. Temperature was comfortable, and I was able to get some good sleep and make use of the updated bathroom. I didn't explore the hotel amenities or dining options, but there are many great restaurant options nearby. read more

Despite it's classy looking exterior and interior, the Revere is definitely not worth the $500 a night price tag. The employees were nice ce and friendly but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. When I got to my room, the air conditioner/heater was not working. They sent someone immediately to fix it and he cleaned the filter, which was disgusting, and then set it to a temperature I could not change. In the bathroom, I saw what look like toothpaste smeared on the walls by the door. It is impossible not see it as it was eye level and right by the light switch. The towel rack for clean towels is in the shower, which means you have to move the towels to shower of have wet towels. The beds were ok and the pillows were nice. But you are paying for the location and the name. I definitely will look elsewhere next time I am in Boston. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Revere for one night. The hotel was located near nice restaurants, a CVS, and the Wilbur theater, which was the reason for our Boston trip (a show at the Wilbur). Our room was very big and seemed comfortable till we realized that the temperature in the room was 75 degrees. We shut the heat off because it seemed very stuffy in the room. We then left to our show and when we got back to our room, it was 80 degrees with the heater off. We had to open the sliding door to let cold air in. Then we went to shower and there was NO HOT WATER! At 2:30am We called the front desk and they didn't answer, so we took very short cold showers. Throughout the night we couldn't sleep because it was still 80 degrees in the room. In the morning we also noticed water on the floor near the toilet bowl and noticed the bowl was cracked. We got frustrated with the lack of sleep due to it being too hot in the room, so we just got up to try and shower again. We wanted to hurry up and checkout because we were so frustrated with our stay but there was no HOT water AGAIN! Upon check out I complained about our issues and the front desk lady said our room was supposed to be maintenanced and had a ticket to be serviced! I asked why did they put us in that room if it had issues. She didn't know why and only offered to deduct the hotel fees! Our goal was to have a relaxing weekend and unfortunately we ended up losing sleep and couldn't take a full showers! I was not well and therefore the reason for review! Never again! read more

Re: parking lot. I was just there yesterday and many concrete joists are being held up by temporary columns. It was slightly terrifying. But even more frustrating is they used to have a parking program where you could get a pass that lets you tap to enter & exit, and they would charge your card that you leave on file. This was great once it was set up, but annoying to set up because you had to go in person during business hours to their parking office. Well, that office is closed, no one there on site is willing to help you, and even the people at the hotel can't even say if Laz Parking is relatively new management. If I could just confirm this is a new manager I'd be fine and walk away from my pass, but God forbid anyone know anything. Don't get crushed, and expect to pay $40 when you used to pay 15. read more

Stayed here in May while in town for work. Location is great, lots of nice restaurants and sightseeing within short distance of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious and clean. Had drinks on the patio one night and cocktails and service were just okay. Also had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and felt the same, just okay. I was in town for the Braves at Red Sox with Ben & Andy so we stayed here. Very close to the T and close to Boston Commons. It's a very secure hotel which requires you to swipe your room card in the elevator to access your room. It's also very quiet. I like the lobby area with it's multiple chairs, seating couches and tables so there is plenty of room to visit with friends family. I also liked the attached garage that makes it easy to access your vehicle. The large building entry for garage access also makes it easy for pick-up/drop-off for Uber/Taxi & other. The bathrooms are on the smaller side and there isn't a lot of drawer storage for clothes. read more

The Revere Hotel in Boston is not an inexpensive hotel but there's a reason TripAdvisor reviews are high. This was my second stay at the hotel, I was there last year as well for the same conference. The lobby is beautiful, the folks at the desk are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. There is no "store" inside the hotel, but there's complimentary water in the room fridge and complementary chocolates (Ghirardelli is attached to the hotel). Nearby is everything you need including a bustling chicken finger restaurant (Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, good and affordable). And of course the Hyne's is right down the street. What more can you ask for from a hotel? Clean, welcoming, friendly, and comfortable. The Revere hits all the sweet spots and I absolutely recommend it! read more

I travel a lot and stay in a variety of places, and get that other people stay in hotel rooms, so I don't usually get the ick. But the Revere most definitely gave me the ick. Aside from the fact that every toilet seat is cracked and stained throughout the hotel, my bedside table is cracked, there's a stain on the floor right in front of my room door and on and on is the matter of all the hair in the shower. I checked in late Wednesday and finally went to take a shower on Friday - hair everywhere. I took the video multiple times because every time I looked someplace there was another hair. Have the video to prove it but when I went to show someone at the front desk - not angry. Not upset, just sharing - and stated clearly I had not yet showered - she asked me 4 times "and you haven't used the shower?" No miss, I don't shower every dang day. Which is worse? That I don't shower every day or that my hotel shower that I had not yet showered in was full of hair. Not my hair. read more

In Boston for work and used @hoteltonight to book this room for $172 when the regular rate was $282 everywhere else. This is a very nice 4 star hotel in downtown Boston in the middle of it all. Friendly staff, nice bar on 2nd floor, room service available until 11 and they have a pillow menu for you to choose from. I also appreciate how inviting it smells when you enter into the lobby. Great customer service experience. The decor is pretty cool with the tattoos & earrings added to the pictures and art on each wall. The bathroom has antique like fixtures and uses Bigelow products. Location is very good. But that's about it. Room was beat up, with an unpleasant smell. The windows were the most dirty windows I have even seen. So dirty that you would think the weather was foggy even when it wasn't. There was accumulated lime deposit on the tiles in the shower. Both the deposit in the shower and the filth on the window looked like they had been accumulating for years. We stayed 3 nights. On the second day, we asked for a late checkout because we were flying out of Boston late on our departure day. We were told that they would not accept late check out. Then at 1pm on the day we left, we were asked for $150 extra. I would recommend you look for another place to stay in Boston. We won't be back. read more

The Revere Hotel Boston was a good experience despite the outside of the building looking like the Soviet Union. Once inside, you'll notice simple touches that make your stay welcoming. Here's why I enjoyed it: 1) Location: It's close enough to the Boston Common (two blocks away) without being in the thick of tourists. It's in the Theater District, a close walk to some other interesting neighborhoods like South End and Chinatown. 2) Amenities: The rooms are spacious and come with a variety of goods like two kinds of shampoo, a pillow menu, and a balcony with a good view of the city (I was on the 14th floor). There's a gym, pool, restaurant, bar, and a rooftop bar with even better views of Boston. 3) Service: The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very kind and helpful. The Revere Hotel Boston Common is my favorite hotel that I have ever stayed at! My wife and I and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice stay while in Boston. We found a package deal for The Revere that bundled the room, parking, and breakfast for two. I don't know if that kind of offer comes up anymore since they had work done in 2017. Our first evening there, we stood out on the (small) balcony that was attached to the room. It gave us a beautiful view of a beautiful city. You can see the day and night view in my pics! The next day, we decided to try the breakfast included with our package. There were so many options! Fresh fruits, pastries, eggs/omelette bar making fresh eggs, and so much more. Every breakfast we each had something different, and a favorite from the previous day. We never got tired of it, the food was amazing! We left generous tips as everyone was so kind and great at their jobs. I highly recommend the breakfast! Our room was incredible! The room had a fantastic view, a comfortable bed, and contemporary styling. We had a beautiful full body mirror. There was very cool art featuring tattooed historical icons. Check out my pics for the styling, layout, and view. Overall, The Revere Hotel looking in seems to be a hip and high end hotel. In my opinion, it is. But I don't consider myself hip, so take that with a grain of salt. Haha. It is a bit pricey, but in this instance you get what you pay for. Parking, if not including in your booking, can also be pricey. The two 'negatives' that I mentioned can easily be explained by the fact that this hotel is cool, high end, and located in downtown Boston... an awesome place! We highly recommend the hotel, the breakfast, and the staff! They over deliver. We will be back soon! read more

Got in "trouble" one time here while renting the Presidential Suite, of all rooms, for playing music on the speaker THEY provided! It was not even that loud -- they just have the speaker set up on the wall with the neighbor's bed on the other side. Also it was Saturday night! Very annoying and the rude staff asked if I had been "smoking or drinking"..... sir I do not smoke cigarettes and I wear lovely perfume, thank you very much. And none of your business what I put in my body regardless. read more

Hotel It's been over eight years since I have posted a negative review. And I am loath to do so. However, I do feel compelled to review this hotel negatively. I flew out to Boston to attend my daughter who was having a knee surgery. I informed the hotel of this fact and that my daughter would be staying with me post surgery. I checked to see if they had an accessible room so that she could stay with me and I was assured that there would be a walk-in shower and a fold out sofa bed. We were also told there was a wheelchair. However, upon checking in, no one could find a wheelchair and we were told that there was none available. After checking in, when we got ready to make the bed late at night, we found that there was no fold out in our suite! Upon going to the front desk and complaining, they offered me another room--at one in the morning--when I looked at that room, it had a horrible smell. So we decided to stay in the room without the fold out bed for the night until we could work it out with the dayshift. The next morning, both Max and Zach tried to be helpful and offered us another room, which had a walk-in shower and a fold out bed, but upon going there we found out that the fold out bed was broken. So we had to go back to our original room and spent the rest of our stay using a fold out cot. When we ordered room service, we expected the real thing. Yet, room service arrived in a paper bag with Styrofoam, cups, paper containers, plastic forks, and no plates-- essentially what we would've gotten if we had ordered from DoorDash. It was surprising and disappointing for a hotel of this caliber, particularly in light of the fact that we had ordered $160 worth of room service, and paid a mandatory delivery fee of over $30. When I complained about this, I was told that this would be remedied and that we would receive real plates, glasses and silverware henceforth. But that did not occur. It appears there is some sort of battle between the kitchen and the front desk, and despite repeated request to give us our food on plates with silverware, it only happened a couple of times and we continued to get deliveries in paper bags with paper containers and plastic utensils. Again, the front desk, particularly Max, continued to make requests to the kitchen, which were ignored. Essentially, there was no service in room service. As for the wheelchair, after my several complaints about this, they managed to find the wheelchair and we did get a wheelchair after the second day. But this situation was definitely unfriendly to disabled people, such as my daughter. While, the front desk staff was kind, and tried to be helpful it appears that none of them were sufficiently trained and were generally powerless when it came to our issues, Almost everybody I spoke to in a managerial position had been there for only a few days which suggests there must be some significant turnover. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay. We were misinformed upon check-in regarding the room, and the wheelchair. The front desk appeared to be powerless in getting us room service which did not have paper bags and plastic forks and paper containers. Two of the three rooms that we saw were not habitable due to the broken sofa bed and the horrible smell. We ended up staying in a room without a sofa bed for my daughter throughout. I am reluctant to leave negative reviews, but in this instance it is warranted. I will never go back to the hotel again. read more

Very cool hotel located close to Boston Commons. We had a room with two queens and it was spacious with a nice view of the city. The decor is a modern vibe referencing the revolution. We came for a graduation and enjoyed our stay. Special shout out to Glen at the front desk for being above and beyond in service. We had flown in on a red eye and arrived early in the morning. Glen got us check in early so we could rest after a long flight. He was so friendly and helpful and provided the kind of attention that has ensured we will return to this hotel again for our future stays. read more

Just walking in the front door was a pleasure. A beautiful hotel with friendly smiles at the desk. The staff was quick to check-in and offer any needed information. The smells in the lobby were even great. A lot of hotels smell stale in the lobby, but this was fresh. My room was very spacious and the decor, although a bit on the dark (gray) side was nice. The bed was very comfortable. And pillows were great too. The TV was very large. There are HBO channels listed but they wouldn't come through. I think it a legal dispute between HBO and Dish Network as one of the screens has a note. Great sized bathroom and sink area. I'm more of a shower person on business trips and I only had a tub/shower combo. Not sure about the other rooms. I think it because it's a renovated, older hotel. Unfortunately, at 10:30 PM I can hear the person above me filling the tub and then draining it. Very loud...too loud. The morning sounds of people using the shower, etc were very loud too. Kind of a bummer. If you're a light sleeper, beware! The air conditioning/heating unit is very quick and responsive with great flow. No morning coffee!! Ugh! In a nutshell, good job Revere. I'm looking forward to a return. BTW, I would have gone to the bar for a bite, but the Cowboys were playing on the TV and I just can't stomach that. Don't want to lose my food. ;) read more

Not only is he a long time Chicago Bears fan/masochist, but he pushes all that aside to do a wonderful job from the time you enter to the time you leave? Why so much for Glenn M you may ask? I lost something quite vauble after check out and Glennorio went out of his way and spent a good portion of his morning finding it for me. I wish everyone cared about their job as much as did.
