Paul Revere on horse wearing a Boston Marathon outfit.

Horrible customer service! Went with two friends on Saturday during Boston Marathon weekend. One of the best weekends of the year. Both traveled from different states to go a special Paul Revere, reservation only party on the rooftop deck. Friends dressed up like a revolutionary's for it. Upon arrival we went to rooftop only to find out it was closed. After speaking to concierge at front desk, we were told it was canceled because DJ didn't show up. He went on to say he "found out about it when he arrived on shift". They had several hours to notify us of this and didn't. There were several other great events we could have gone to. We chose theirs. Huge mistake! Only the next day they offered anyone a free drink if we come this weekend for a different $30 entrance event. Horrible customer service. I'm not paying $30 just ti get a free drink. I have no desire to ever go to the Revere Hotel again.

ACCESSIBILITY TO SEVERAL LOCATIONS Especially the Theatre District and several Restaurants and BOSTON COMMON! Very convenient plus parking is attached to the Hotel!

Very nice boutique hotel in a great location near bars and restaurants and parks. Very friendly staff and they let us check in at 9:30am on a Friday. The rooms are very clean and roomy and they all have a balcony where you can see the city. However you have to stand as there are no chairs. The restaurant is beautiful and has great options for snacking or a full meal. They also offer room service. There is a rooftop bar and restaurant but sadly it is closed in the winter. I would definitely stay here again when in Boston.

I very rarely have an opportunity to experience a stay at a Boston hotel as I live in the area, but I recently booked a last minute stay at the Revere Hotel. December prices at downtown Boston hotels were ridiculous, but Revere Hotel was reasonable. The location is close to the Boston Common, theater district, Chinatown, and only a 15 minute walk to the financial district. Even as a local, I really enjoyed the decor and theme of the hotel. Paul Revere / revolutionary images everywhere - so nice to sense your unique location rather than the standard chain hotel decor where you feel like you could be in any city or strip mall in America. It's a city hotel in an old city, so there are signs of wear and aging despite the updated decor. The room itself was comfortable, and rather importantly, it was quiet. Temperature was comfortable, and I was able to get some good sleep and make use of the updated bathroom. I didn't explore the hotel amenities or dining options, but there are many great restaurant options nearby.

Despite it's classy looking exterior and interior, the Revere is definitely not worth the $500 a night price tag. The employees were nice ce and friendly but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. When I got to my room, the air conditioner/heater was not working. They sent someone immediately to fix it and he cleaned the filter, which was disgusting, and then set it to a temperature I could not change. In the bathroom, I saw what look like toothpaste smeared on the walls by the door. It is impossible not see it as it was eye level and right by the light switch. The towel rack for clean towels is in the shower, which means you have to move the towels to shower of have wet towels. The beds were ok and the pillows were nice. But you are paying for the location and the name. I definitely will look elsewhere next time I am in Boston.

Awesome hotel in the heart of Boston, MA. The room and staff are fabulous and very good at what they do. Recommendations, Service and Comfort were the star winners for this establishment.

View from our balcony was so beautiful!

The rooms are very out dated and overpriced. Amenities are lacking and bathrooms are old and tiny and not well cleaned.

For a hotel of this status I'm surprised they dont acknowledge repeat customers. "Welcome Back" or a different note in the room than the formulaic one from guest services. There are many hotel options in Boston which we have also enjoyed that seem to pay closer attention to their repeat guests. Just a thought. We will continue to return regardless :)

The not-so-good: we booked a suite and were originally shown a room on the 11th floor which was very dark and faced a brick building. We requested another room and were moved to a much better room facing the park on the 3rd floor. Neither room was worth the $1k price point but at least the second room was an improvement. It should be noted the elevators are very slow and the wait was 5-10 minutes no matter the time of day. The bad: Contessa has almost zero vegan options... not even oatmeal which was odd. Even the acai bowl had milk in it! I ended up ordering a slice of focaccia, a laughable fruit plate (which was $20), and orange juice. Room service was no better in terms of option...one night I ordered the rigatoni marinara clearly stating that I am a vegan and it arrived an hour later covered in parmesan cheese. None of the above would have been a big deal at a $500-$600 price point, but at $1k per night our experience was disappointing. I doubt we'll stay at the Newbury again.

That time due to everything going on in the world with minimal travel we enjoyed a cheap rate for an entire weekend with probably the best view offered for the hotel of TD Garden as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Which I know it's just a bridge but it was a nice sight for an in-city view. This most recent stay was due to a concert at TD Garden my wife and I were in town for. Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. Definitely a hotel worth looking into while visiting Boston!

Room: 5 Our room was impeccable with impressive personal touches and attention to detail. Little things like Fiji water, fresh soft towels (and a black towel for makeup), full array of toiletries, and a welcoming comfortable firm bed. Despite having alllll the things to do in Boston, I was excited to get back to that room and that bed, and I slept like a log. I like a good bed when I'm traveling and I would never stay at another place if I had the option. My favorite aspect was having a separate bedroom and living area (with pull out couch). All things comparable, I've stayed in a thousand hotels, I've traveled Boston thoroughly. This will be my go-to forever. Whether traveling single, as a couple, or with my kids, I will look at 284 first and foremost. Kid-friendly: yes! I would definitely stay here with my kids (ages 9, 11, 13). Safe, fun, welcoming, and wallet-friendly. Special bonus and wow impression: each room is themed after a different artist. I love love love this concept and intrigued me a thousand times over. The environment was beautifully decorated for Christmas, like last year, and I had to take some pictures to have as desktop wallpaper on my computer. We had a very nice time and the selections on the menu were impressive. I went with the carrot cake chai black tea, mainly because it had pumpkin pie kinds of spices and vanilla rooibos. It tasted wonderful, like an autumnal tea, and all our teas came in beautifully decorated tea pots, apparently from Australia. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had. The menu was different from last year's, which was great too but in my opinion this seemed like an upgrade. Some of the food items included pieces of salmon in a little pastry, mini lobster roll, peking duck crepe, curried chicken croissant, a beautiful deviled egg, vanilla bean and brown butter scones, an eggnog tart, and a Santa hat shaped raspberry pastry. We even got some alternate options for a lactose sensitive person, so that's a great plus as well. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, and the service was great.
