I'm not sure if they change the flavors up but it was strawberry mint. It was so good, I may drive back an hour to go get it again. Mocha Joe and Larry David would have to give it 5-stars! It was the perfect balance of moist but but not 'doughy' and the strawberry and mint balance was perfect! If you like seriously good coffee, prefer to avoid Starbucks when possible- look no further. Expect to stand in line before ordering for a few minutes unless it's 3 in the afternoon (I've actually driven by at that time and not seen the line extending onto the sidewalk. The line was about 10-12 people deep when I arrived on a Sunday morning. I figured it would take 10-15 minutes to get through it but did not expect to wait 40 minutes. My fault for even standing there that long. First off, they were grossly understaffed. One person at the register, one making drinks and one making food who also was cleaning tables between food delivery. Second, if you see a long line, please don't strike up 5 minute conversations at the register. Yes, customer service is important...but customer service includes moving through the line. Lastly, the pastries looked good. Vegan, GF and gluten filled options. I ordered the Alchemist which is cold brew, cream and simple syrup. Good but very overpriced at $5. This would cost me $3 at any other quality upscale shop in town because the cream and syrup would be available to me at the coffee station. My husband ordered the butterscotch latte which lacked a butterscotch taste. This drink needs some help. Will I go back? No. But I can appreciate what they're doing and think they'll continue to be successful with their loyal fan base. read more

I was visiting the San Diego area and decided to try this coffee shop while visiting Oceanside. I love trying out new coffee shops whenever I travel. This cafe had great reviews so I decided to try it out. First thing I noticed was that it was a bit of a challenge to find parking, but after a couple rounds around the neighborhood I found parking. The second thing I noticed as I walked in, was that the entire coffee shop was full of people with not a single place to sit. Really great coffee here! If you're in the area looking for some good coffee, this is definitely a great place to stop by. I've now tried both the horchata latte as well as the lavender honey latte and they were both pretty good. The lavender latte was a little bit on the blander side but the horchata latte was very excellent. You can do different types of milk and sugar substitutes such as oatmilk and honey which is really nice. Also, you can cut down the sugar amounts in your drink if you don't have as much of a sweet tooth. I left the horchata latte with its regular sweetness and I thought it was fine but I also like my drink sweeter. They also have a variety of really great pastries and croissant breakfast sandwiches. Their coffee is reasonably priced. The pastries seem high at first look but DANG are they worth every penny. Maybe the best molasses cookie I've ever had, carmelized ginger and all; incredible shortbread; delicious chocolate croissants. Super cute place in Oceanside. Kinda hard to find parking in there side lot because there are maybe 8 spots, expect to find parking on the street and possibly walk a bit. I'm definitely an iced coffee person, ordered the butterscotch latte iced with half sweetness. I loved that they had the option to switch up the sweetness levels. The milk they usually use is whole milk, so I just went with that. they did have other milk alternatives to choose from though. The butterscotch latte was super good!! I love my coffee with nutty notes and that's exactly what this had. Definitely need to stop by again to try some of their other interesting drinks. read more

After some looking around, we just parked on the Main Street about a block away. Coffee/food: we got the honey lavender latte (okay), horchata latte (yum), and a vegan chocolate donut (gross, in my opinion). The lattes were each $5, which I guess is pretty normal for pricing. And they came out pretty (picture). The donut was $4.50.. NOTTT worth it! I know it was vegan and that always tends to be more expensive, but definitely not worth it for the taste. Ambiance: there is outdoor and indoor seating. We sat indoors because we needed an outlet. The cafe was pretty packed when we got there, but there was still seating available. There is one larger community/work table, a bar like table, and a few individual tables for smaller groups (1-2 people). Indoors was so hot. I know this is a beach city and using an AC is probably uncommon, but it was quite miserable working on stuff indoors. We visited this spot from out of town. Overall, the experience was just a 3/5. We also ordered the gluten free banana bread. I had to ask twice if it was gluten free. It was so delicious I emailed them for the recipe.
