And this is the second time I've had their squash tart - and LET ME TELL YOU: there is CRUNCH on the outer edges, soft goat cheese and squash in the middle like a pillow, with that hint of sage and GARLIC CHIVE?!?! Really, great Coffee spot!!!Their pastries are soooo good!! I had the Iced Vanilla Latte and it was tasty! My friend and I each had it and we also shared the Avo and Tomato Toast she ordered and the Almond Butter and Banana that I ordered. I will rate this place 3 stars. Minus 2 stars for 2 reasons. One, it took about 20-25 min for our toast to be ready. This was on a Friday morning around 11 am. I can only imagine how long someone will have to wait for on a busy weekend morning. We were way done with our lattes by the time our toast was ready. Another star down bc I feel it's a bit on the pricey side. $16 for 1 regular iced latte and Almond Butter and Banana toast? 3.5 Stars.. Nice place in South O. Lots of people "hanging out" on their computers, so doesn't leave much room for someone to just sit and have a cup of cup of coffee or tea. I've been in a few times and not once have I been able to find a seat around the people doing what they do on their IMacs. Normally I'm a Chai Tea Latte drinker in the afternoon, but twice now I've ordered the Chai Tea and it taste different. Not sure if it's the brand or the barista. Lots of completion around, I hope this as well as the others are going to be able to compete or stay in biz with the new Starbucks going in on the corner of Vista & PCH... Peace read more

As if driving down the South Coast Highway wasn't already a sight to see and full of amazing businesses, Revolution Roasters puts a delicious coffee shop right off the 78. Stopped by here on a Friday afternoon to wait out rush hour traffic and to kill some time before happy hour with my lady. She'd been here before and recommended me to come here because I'm more of the coffee drinker between the two of us. It's a great, high ceiling coffee shop. I love the vibe of this place, it's not too bougie/hipster (not sure if those are equivalent but in this case they are lol) and they get a great amount of natural light. It's a great place to study and the staff are super friendly! I ended up going for the alchemist (cold brew, simple syrup, cream) a delicious, but simple drink. Came in a cool beaker looking glass, check out the picture it looks awesome and tastes great! I'll be back to try a new drink soon! read more

I'll preface my review by saying I'm really not much of a coffee drinker. That being said, if I had to choose a place to go for coffee, this would be it. We stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon, but one of the things I love about downtown Oceanside is that parking is never really an issue. Revolution Roasters definitely falls into the sort of cookie-cutter indie sort of coffee shops: minimalistic decor, a very open layout, and mostly communal seating. They have quite a few drinks that are pretty popular, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new! I chose the butterscotch latte, and while I usually hate anything in the caramel family, this was pretty damn good. Not too sweet with a hint of spice! We also shared a cinnamon roll and it was pretty good as well, but I probably would try a different pastry next time. I'll be back to try their lavender honey latte! read more

Another great start to a day at the beach! Love starting my day with some great coffee and I'm typically not a breakfast eater but I couldn't pass up the almond butter, banana, chai seed & honey toast. It was perfection. It's very sweet... The honey lavender latte was also on the sweeter side so I had plenty of sugar to keep me going all day. Portions are very large here so keep that in mind as well. Cute little find in Oceanside! There's a small parking lot next door which is helpful. The inside of this place isn't very large but is well decorated with modern lights and seating. There's also some outdoor seating as well. The latte I got was incredible and perfectly made! My one thing was the toast- the bread was a little crispy making it hard to eat, and the rest was literally just cream cheese and jam. It wasn't bad, but it was lacking the creativity you would find at a competing coffee shop. The rest of their toasts seemed about as exciting. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and it seemed like I wasn't the only one seeing how many people were there! Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio but not inside. read more

I always enjoy a great pour over. We decided to have my final meeting here. It is easy to get to freeway and lots of street parking all around. The signage is great with great curbside appeal. You can tell right away that this place is a hipster third wave coffee experience. We walked in and I loved the vibe and the feel of this place. It was exactly what I expected. I always judge a third wave place by their pour over. I ordered the light roast Guatemalan coffee (I think that's what it was). It was great! One of the interesting samples I had was their kombucha on tap. It was very nice. If you are into kombuchas, I highly recommend it. They also have a simple menu for food, but, I did not try anything. From what I saw, many people ordered a toast with some kind of spread with banana, including my friend. They all seemed to enjoy it. The baristas were friendly and great! If you are passing through Oceanside, check this place out! This will be a go to place for me as I dive to and through San Diego. The price is very reasonable, albeit, I just had a $12 pour over from a place in Boston this past weekend. Haha! I give it an overall rating of 5 stars! Way to go! Revolution has become part of my weekly routine. Every weekend I've been compelled to stop in for a cappuccino and a bag of beans for that week. So far, I've never been disappointed. It's not a coffee shop if you're in a rush, the baristas take their time to talk about your order, people in line next to you will strike up a conversation, and you'll want to linger in their outdoor patio. Only 4 stars due to the wobbly table that cheated me out of half, (if not more), of this happiness in fluid form. Great coffee, but it's odd that they require you to go in inside to order during a covid outbreak. Seems unnecessarily unsafe for staff and guests and could open the owners to liability if people get sick there. Hopefully they will set up a table to order outside. I have such mixed feelings about this place. The coffee is outstanding, I absolutely love the taste and the specialty lattes they rotate. However, the price gauging is insane. They only have one size iced latte, they charge $1 for almond milk which I guess is common now but they also overfill your small cup with ice. Alright, coffee. I drink a ton of coffee with a coworker of mine, we have several brewing methods and are admittedly way to into it. We order from well known roasters all over (Intelligentsia, Stumptown, Verve, Madcap, etc) but our goto beans are Revolution Roaster's Holy Goat. Its just extremely well balanced and delicious! I've probably had 25+ bags at this point, its unrivaled. Hands down best roaster in California! Give them a shot if you want a change in your coffee, I guarantee you'll love it. Okay that part is aside! This storefront is great, with nice outdoor seating, minimalist indoor decor, free wifi, its nice to come here to work sometimes! Staff is always friendly and talkative. I really recommend their cold brew, and my wife loves their Chai and Cinnamon rolls! They also have several gluten free options, (gluten free toast, Almondines) which are great. I also recommend sitting down and not getting it to go- your stuff will come out on wood cutting boards which is a nice touch, and the latte cups allow for some cool latte art that the togo cups dont. The one downside is how packed it can get! If you show up in the busy hours, you can expect to wait 5-10 minutes to order (its totally worth it) and maybe struggle to get seats. Parking can be hard as well, they have a side lot for 6 cars or so plus the space on 101 in front, but I recommend not even bothering and parking on Kelly (nearby street). read more
