    Margarita pizza
    Holly C.

Came here on the weekend for dinner for a party of 4 and ordered 1 appetizer, 2 pizzas, and 1 pasta as our party only consists of 2 adults and 2 kids. The zucchine scapece was nicely fried, garlicky and balanced well with the vinegar so it didn't feel too heavy. The pasta in the paccheri alla genovese was al dente, the sauce was hearty and flavorful. We ordered the margarita and carbonara pizzas. The crust was soft, elastic and chewy and we all particularly enjoyed the carbonara which has a great balance of salty and creamy flavors. We also ordered their tiramisu for dessert, which was quite good and authentic but it was not worth $16. The only complaint is that the portion size is very small and quite pricey for the amount of food you get. Our server was friendly and our food came out quite fast. Overall, food was good but it's quite overpriced given the small portion size. If I were to go again, I would just order a pizza for myself (as I saw what's what most people do) and skip the rest of the options on their menu.

If you're in the New York area, you'll quickly understand that there are a lot of styles of pizza to choose from. Obviously the iconic is the New York style thin crust crunchy well done pizza. However, if you'd like to compare it to the roots of where pizza came from, you might wanna try Naples style pizza. It's the closest thing to pizza you'd find on the streets of Naples Italy in New York City. They even have a certificate of authenticity that they cook Naples style with a brick oven that uses over 1000° to cook their pizzas in under two minutes. All fresh ingredients, hand roll dough and fresh cheese. This is the kind of pizza that you wouldn't pick up but slide right onto the plate. You may even want to use a knife and fork because the dough isn't as crunchy so you either love it or you hate it but it's definitely worth a try if you've never had It but the tomato sauce alone and the cheese make it well worth it to try even once. I will say that this is a very nice sitdown spot that doesn't break the bank for you to have other items besides the pizza like fried calamari some drinks and just a nice place to even bring family or friends, including children as they have tables for large groups.

    Black truffle gnocchi

Girls night out. The place looked nice, except the tables are so close to each other the staff kept bumping into my chair when they were passing and they were going back and forth a lot. Also the men in the table next to me had long legs he kept extending towards my table and kicking my bag where I had my laptop - super annoying!!! I had drink called clover club. Was so delicious I had two but for $20 each there was VERY little alcohol! The only thing that I loved besides my company was the black truffle gnocchi. At a price point of $38 - that at least was worth every penny. Apparently pizzas were good too - two of my friends had the brigante and the capricciosa and they said they were satisfied.

It was girls night at Ribalta and I'm ultimately glad we came. It's quite cozy in here, so it was great for a snowy, winter day. The staff here was great. They were kind, attentive, and spoke some basic Italian with us and since I'd recently came back from Italy, this made me so happy. We ordered the calamari ($25) and fried flower zucchini ($24) to start and were happy with both. The zucchini had a nice, creamy mozzarella inside and the calamari was crispy with a great sauce (aioli?) that came with it. I did, however, feel that it was a bit expensive for what we got. The brigante pizza ($26) was next and it was good! It had fior di latte, salame, and a spicy oil (which I didn't really taste). The crust was a bit flimsy, so it kind of fell apart in my hands-but the taste matters more anyway, and it was great :)

    pizza for two

My sister and I came here because this is ranked #19 on the World's Top 50 Pizza list. We made a reservation on OpenTable and there were plenty of spots available. The vibe is modern chic, all the staff and waiters are Italian with excellent service. We decided to get the pizza for two with Proscuitto di Parma. The ingredients were mind blowingly good- Fior de late bufalo straight from Italy- their chili oil tasted amazing and very high quality. The pizza itself however is not the traditional Neopolitan style crust and the bigger one is very thick. Perhaps it was because we did not order the round one.

    Nerano, classic Margherita
    Andrew W.

Not the best Neapolitan style pizza I've ever had, but quite solid. The classic margherita was just as it should be - maybe could have used a teensy bit more tomato to offset the chew and salt of the dough. The Nerano with thin coins of fried zucchini was a somewhat odd combo but reasonably tasty too. I don't know why I need to keep saying this so often these days but one of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants don't list prices on their online menus. It costs virtually nothing to update numbers on a website. Ribalta, you serve pizza and pasta. I can't fathom what sort of pretension you're trying to achieve here.

The pizza here really lives up to the hype. One of the best dough I've had in a pizza. I ordered a margherita with pepperoni. The service was quite fast. I will definitely come back and try the other pizzas!

Came for lunch and ordered from their lunch special menu - salad and roni pizza. The salad was a bit boring as it only had arugula and a few cherry tomatoes, some big slices of parm cheese, and their vinaigrette dressing. It was ok but def too much arugula and not much of anything else. The pizza came out hot and fresh, but was regular neapolitan tasting pizza. There was not a good flop on the pizza. It kind of just fell apart when I held it. Service was good and attentive for the most part. The pizza took longer than I expected for it to come out after the salad. Staff was very nice and bathroom was clean. Ambiance was clean, open, and modern. I would come back but not needing to anytime soon.

Mango beet salad, truffle gnocchi, marg pizza

Truly one of the best meals I had while in NYC for a weekend. We sat outside front and our food came out so fast, service was great. We shared their mango / beet salad and it was delicious. I got their truffle gnocchi and was blown away by how flavorful it was. I tried a slice of my friend's magherita pizza and the dough was amazing.

Great to see that Ribalta is back - with its usual delicious food and fabulous service! Some minor issues like lacking gas in the kitchen reduced the menu somewhat but thankfully the pizza oven is authentic wood-fired.

    Zucchine Scapece
    Michelle L.

I chose Ribalta because it is AVPN certified Neapolitan pizza. I had a reservation that turned out to not be necessary. I started with the Zucchini Scapece (Zucchine with white wine vinegar, green market mint and garlic) appetizer. I ate every bite of it. Impossibly thin sliced zucchini served at room temperature. I'd eat this everyday. I chose the Brigante (Imported fior di latte, salame, spicy oil) Pizza. It's very good and everything about it was correct but my overall experience was off tonight. The service was slow. The waiter was disinterested and not even remotely attentive and I tried to pay with cash but they didn't have change. It was fine but it's NYC and there's lots of good pizza.

Gluten free and vegan cheese white pie.
    Tamar K.

What a very cool place! An incredibly upscale pizza place. Or a sports bar with a full bar. Or a special occasion Italian place. I think it's all those things. But I went because they have gluten-free pizza and vegan cheese. And the photos, which you can see, the GF pizza looks very close to the regular pizza. That never happens. It's usually have the size, half the thickness, and it's still fairly rare to find vegan cheese. And you know what? It was really good! I got a white pie with shrimp, mushrooms and broccoli rabe. Don't judge! It was great. It was also $44. You read that right. GF is not cheap Man! My companion's regular pizza was $30. Also, NOT CHEAP! We had 2 personal pizzas, 2 apps and the bill was $120. That was lunch. So, I'm not going every week. But I'll go again! It lasted 2 meals.
