I felt like it was a little pricy ($4.50-5 for one piece), so if you order from here, it's a better deal for you to order a trio or quartet. I'm not a big seafood fan, so I decided to try out the KBBQ beef and the Vegan onigiri. The flavor of the KBBQ beef was delicious, super savory, and the meat wasn't too chewy or dry-- I would definitely eat this again. I wasn't sure what to expect from the Vegan onigiri, but I'm not mad at it. It was very creamy and had good flavor, but was a little salty for me. It's nice to see restaurants with small menus still try to accommodate for different dietary preferences. Upon taking all the other reviews, I decided to hit this place up after the lunch rush, so I went at 230pm on a Friday day. So the venue has plenty of seating, BUT the parking does get pretty crowded and small compact cars. PLAN your trip according if you're in a rush. The restaurant is an outdoor food court, warm if it's summer. Again, dress according and be prepared to wait in the sun. The service was super quick. I already knew what I wanted, ordered, and paid with my arm, and YELPERS get 10%for checking in! Take advantage of getting the sauce on the side. I'm not a spice girl, so glas John shared with me I could add on side vs on top of my meal. GREAT relief!! I definitely recommend the TRIO. The drink I'm not a fan I will return to try other items. I wanted to try their onigiri, and I was not disappointed. I had ordered 8 different flavors to try out. They're rather large, so 1 or 2 is quite filling. The amount of rice used is just right with adequate filling. You don't necessarily need any sauce, as the seasoning on the rice is quite satisfying. All the flavors I had were quite good. The only one I found a little bland was the crab, but with some soy sauce, it was fine. I don't really have any reports about the service. I ordered online for pickup. But the staff at the front was nice. My only major gripe is the parking situation of this Plaza. There's so few parking spaces with many restaurants. You can't park in the adjacent businesses, but I have seen people park across the street in other corporate businesses. If you manage to find parking, this place is petty good read more

I ordered the shrimp crab and K barbecue beef and it was honestly some of the worst tasting food I've had in a long time I give a star for service that was fine, if you're going to have rice in your name, I would think the rice would be very good, yeah it was terrible. THE BEST ONIGIRI EVER!!! To begin, my partner and I have have been on the hunt for the perfect onigiri and this place fits the bill exactly. We've tried onigiri from different places in both San Diego and LA, and this is by far our favorite. The spot that it's in is also really cute, it's like an outdoor food court which adds to the experience. The onigiri is seasoned with furikake, there's a big dollop of protein on top, it has the perfect fish to rice ratio (which a lot of onigiri places fail at), and the service is amazing. The worker (I am not sure if he is the owner) gave us an extra onigiri and seasoned cucumbers for free with our order because it was our first time trying. The food and flavors were ok, wouldn't come back to this place though. I've def had better onigiri. I ordered their 4 set to try their different meat options and ordered through their kiosk... but they got my order wrong. I had ordered Spicy salmon, spicy crab, spicy shrimp, and spicy tuna mayo... but instead of getting the crab, I was given the kbbq beef. Their "spicy option" was a bit misleading... all it was is a drizzle of sriracha on top of the onigiri. I would have expected the filling to be incorporated with spice. Was very messy to eat. Fillings were kinda scarce on the inside. They add a dallop of the filling on top of the onigiri, which I'm guessing is to help distinguish which onigiri is which. But it just made it messier to eat. The rice was not as compacted either so everything kinda falls apart after one bite. If you're looking for a really good onigiri place in that area, I'd suggest to try Lagu Cafe. read more
