This place is running the worlds largest scam. Recently they increased prices which I wasn't a fan of but kept going. Now they have the bowls smaller and kept the increased prices. Roughly 50% of the time I go there they get the order wrong...its just fruit and butters how can you get that wrong? The staff is also very hit and miss. Some of the people working seem angry when you want to try and order something special or even remove one fruit out of the bowls. Also they buy everything from Costco and charge a fortune for the fruit bowls totally not worth it. Update - tried this place again because I'm a believer in 10th and 20th chances. However, the fruit bowl today was full of banana, the cheapest of all fruits. For a $10 bowl of fruit I don't want 50% to be a 30 cent banana. read more

It is so unappetizing and impossible to find a slice of banana amidst the globs of Nutella. I did a rough estimate and the calorie count is close to 1,000 - hardly a healthy lunch. I ordered a rainbow bowl with honey and was a little nervous the moment I watched them starting to grind the acai. After trying acai bowls in LA two years ago, my sister and I have been on the search for this delicious snack in the area. Lo and behold, we found this place and we're sad to say we're disappointed. We got the rainbow bowl and while the presentation is very nice and the fruits are fresh, the acai was almost non-existent. You're basically paying for an overpriced fruit cup with a smidge of acai in it. In comparison, similar sized acai bowls we got in LA were the same price as Rico but with 20x more acai (imagine Rico's bowls half filled with acai instead of the one millimeter layer they give you). Another thing we weren't expecting was the icy, clumpy texture. From other establishments we've tried, the acai has always been well blended. It's nice Charlotte finally has an acai establishment but it could be much better. read more

I love this place!, The first time I tried it... I fell in love and life has never been the same after. The ingredients are fresh and freshly made to order, "FYI"... Be careful of how many toppings you get, the cost might surprise you... But it's worth it! The only down side is the sweet mangos they offer; you have to catch them in the morning for that special because of the amount that was cut and prepared, I began work at 3pm so there's nothing left for me ! Honestly I've had Acai Bowls before and although this is new to Charlotte, it's sad to know this is how folks will get introduced to it. Generally acai bowls are at a premium and as long as you understand why the price won't be so bad. However when you get a bowl that looks like shaved ice it's pretty disappointing. This is an awesome find. Healthy food truck food. Be careful getting too much fruit, as that's a lot of sugar. They have only 5 options all with the same acai, granola banana base and you add from there. I love that they have options like chia seeds and honey, which are 2 daily staples for me anyway. I typically go here mornings when I'm in a hurry and can't make breakfast. They are pretty fast and just across from a museum, so they have street spots during the week, and on weekends you can park in the lot. (Without paying because you'll be there less than 10 minutes.)
