We decided to give this place a try tonight, and unfortunately, it was a one-and-done for us. The restaurant was only about a quarter full and appeared to have plenty of staff, yet I noticed multiple tables with finished meals still sitting covered in empty glasses. We were seated with half a basket of chips and some of the blandest, most watered-down salsa I've ever had. The service itself was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. My husband's birria tacos were actually delicious, but the consommé came in what was essentially a shot glass, nowhere near enough for three tacos. Want sour cream? Another tiny shot glass for an extra charge. My ribeye fajitas were just... fine. Nothing memorable, and paying $2 for a shot glass of shredded cheese felt ridiculous. Between the tiny portions on every add-on, the underwhelming food, and the lack of value for the price, we left disappointed. There are too many great Mexican restaurants in the area for us to come back.

Came in at happy hour on a Monday with a friend and we ate like royalty! Really nice to have an upscale Mexican restaurant in Vancouver with an affordable price point and a wonderful atmosphere! The happy hour pricing especially was very nice, we ordered quite a bit of food and we loved the giant cantina style plates and everything came with sides. Every single thing we ate was incredibly delicious! I would recommend you dine here with a group and just enjoy yourself! This is the sort of restaurant where you just chat and eat and have a great time because the employees will take care of you and you'll leave happy and well fed! The meat, the sides, the drinks, and the flavors were all 10/10, I can't wait to have Rigo's become a household name in Vancouver. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time but also have a nice meal, Rigo's was a good balance of both!

Came in for dinner in a Tuesday night just after happy hour around 6:15pm. It's a really nice place. We got seated right away up front by the front of the restaurant. Then, we got served some salsa and chips. The salsa was good tasting but a little runny. Joel was our waiter and he did a great job. She got the bucket tropical drink bucket and I tried a drink. It was delicious with jalapeños, mango and cucumber in it. I got the enchiladas one with chicken and one with ground beef. Those are the only options. The food came out really fast. I mean like with in 5 minutes of ordering it. I really liked the taste of the enchiladas, rice and beans. It costs $16.00 and I can see why. The first bite of my chicken had no chicken in it. The second one did. The ground hamburger enchilada was practically flat. Meaning hardly no ground beef in the enchilada what so ever. The enchiladas tasted good but they could have put more meat inside them. I am not a fast eater but I was done with my meal with in 5 minutes. I really liked the rice and beans but again they do not really give you much rice and beans at all. I think I had a total of seven bites of rice and 7 bites of beans. Sad.. She like her tamale and chili relleno. She did comment it was really good along with her tropical drink for $22.00. The deep fried plantains were decent for dessert but it tasted a little stale. It took longer to make than the main meal. Overall this place was ok. I might have to come back sometime for happy hour. Idk. Oh I forgot to mention that to get a little bit of sour cream and/or guacamole with you meal it's an extra $2.00

You have to go and eat here! The staff was great, everyone was welcoming and helpful. We were greeted and taken care of immediately, with water, chips and salsa. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, food came out quickly, hot and fresh. My husband got the bacon wrapped shrimp, he absolutely loves them. He suggested we come back weekly for this dish. I ordered the molcajete, it was steaming when it arrived, accompanied by some nice warm tortillas. My only complaint was the cactus was tough, made it hard to eat. But the rest of the meats were cooked perfectly and the beans were delicious, not to spicy for my taste. Prefect! Deep friend ice cream for dessert, what's not to love about ice cream?? Ricos will be on outlr restaurant rotation for sure!

First of all, our server was great! She was sweet and friendly. We chose the patio since it was a nice evening. Very noisy. Next time we will sit inside at the bar. My wife really enjoyed her burrito. I got the tacos. Choose two, and it comes with 2 of each. I got carnitas and shrimp. Both were really good. Normally I can take or leave refried beans. I don't have any particular feeling toward them, but these, I wanted to eat them all. I wasn't a huge fan of the salsa but my wife liked it. The drinks were...ok. Overall, we'd go back.

First time here and I imagine there are still tweaks being made! What's working: - Service is top notch - staff is so friendly, attentive, respectful; all the things - great ambience - beautiful open space, like that there is a separate bar area, great design - menu - expansive menu that has a good balance of authentic dishes and more "general" ones - chocolate cake was incredible What didn't land: - some of the menu items are quite expensive for the value (I tried 2 mezcal drinks, 1 standard and one "upscale" - the standard/affordable one was very weak and sugary and mostly ice) - the churro dish although fun and tasty was hard to justify $20 for, I'd love to see a less flashy but more affordable option Overall a good addition to Vancouver!

Very nice place! We had an awesome server(didn't get his name) he was on time with drinks, refills and anything we asked for. The food was fantastic! Ribs were phenomenal ! Fries really great! The Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the chipotle sauce was bomb! Rice and beans are delicious too. The churros were yummy and the presentation with the cart was just too cute! definitely going back again.

Everything we try is awesome and the service is spectacular. Food is to die for! The restaurant is beautiful, clean and inviting. I don't know why the public isn't standing at the door waiting for a table. Hidden jem!

First time coming here, came with some friends and I was surprised it was really good. I ordered the two taco combination, the shrimp (grilled) and fish tacos since I do not eat meat on Fridays. It was beautifully presented and everything was delicious. I even ate the refried beans and I usually hate the beans. I ordered a small pina colada drink, it was really good. The staff was really attentive an and was a good environment.

Cerdo frito w/ Tostones ($13.95) - The dish comes with eight pieces of seasoned and deep fried pork. It's fried long enough to make it crisp but dries out the interior. The rich seasoning, salty with a lime salt-like tang, creates a red colored skin over the meat. The fried meat is served on a bed of red beans and rice. It's seasoned well and has a good bitey texture. I ordered the cerdo frito with tostones. They include three pieces that aren't nearly as smashed and thin as others I've eaten. This means they are able to show a more tender and starchy interior rather than being almost completely crispy throughout. They are quite interesting in that they puff up like pita bread, leaving an air pocket in the center. They top the tostones with a bit of crumbled salty cheese and some salsa. Unfortunately these two elements soak into the tostones a little, causing them to become somewhat soggy. There's a tiny side of slaw, less than a small ice cream scoops worth. It's filled with crunchy vegetables and is in a really sweet dressing. I wonder if they purchase it in bulk from the Reser's down the street.
