Tim is super honest and does a very professional job at a very reasonable rate. He replaced all our old cast iron pipes with new abs everything and installed clean outs in front of the house. I went under the house with him and he went over everything with me. He also noticed our garbage disposal was very old and replaced that while he was there. I just called Tim for the first time in three years...it was to have him loosen the bathtub drain stop that he installed....its the type that it's very nice, Brass, and is the 'Push Down' type but is 'non removable' you have to unscrew it. I'm fairly strong and I haven't been able to unscrew it. I had 2 neighbors try, both men, and they could not unscrew it. So with hesitancy I called Tim since HE INSTALLED it. Nothing seems to have changed with him..the ONLY thing he said was 'You left a very nasty Yelp review for me' and I don't think I want to work for you and then you rudely just hung up. Not only very immature but EXTREMELY Unprofessional. First of all Tim I was NOT GOING TO HIRE YOU...I asked you if you would have 5 minutes to loosen it. I read your other Negative reviews...You do indeed have some significant Anger issues. You were a nice fellow who did do good work. You were very snotty the last time I spoke with you which was about THE VERY SAME ISSUE...You had OVERTIGHTENED the Shower nozzle I asked if you would just loosen it and you said then, "I wish you would just let me do my work".. It's a true pity...you used to be a nice fellow but now you seen to be just a rude and angry person. I have an old 40's floor heater that wasn't working properly this year. I called several plumbers/HVOC companies. Some told me over the phone they wouldn't come to the house to work on an old heater and that I should just buy a new system, others simply never returned my calls. Tim from Riling Plumbing was the exception. He came to my house and determined it was a simple and inexpensive fix - a new thermostat. The heater has been running perfectly ever since. I've also had Tim over to unclog a slow draining kitchen sink and to replace the stems and seats in the handles for my faucet. Tim again efficiently and inexpensively fixed those problems. Riling Plumbing is the company I will call for any future plumbing or heating problems that might come up in my old house, and I would readily recommend Riling Plumbing to my friends. I had a great experience with Riling Plumbing. My mother had somehow clogged both of her toilets and had no means of using the bathroom. Of course I was given no notice until it was a complete emergency. My brother-in-law knew these guys and they came over right way. Tim, the plumber, was extremely professional and for the amount of work he did the price was very affordable. I even got a military discount. Just had Tim do some work. He returned my call promptly, and came the next morning. He replaced the shutoff valve at the house, and installed a new shutoff valve on our side of the water meter at the street. Then he relocated a hose bib about 20 feet away, which required crawling under the house and working in a dirty, confined space. He got it all done in 5 hours, provided an itemized bill, did a great job, cleaned up after himself, and was very pleasant about the whole deal. Great plumber, great guy. read more

We bought a house this year that had been "flipped" and needed various plumbing related things (as is, unfortunately, the norm with flipped houses). A friend recommended Tim, and we've been very happy with his work! He explains what the issues are in detail (but in a way that a layman can understand), gives you some options for solutions, and does a great job. So far he's hooked up our washer, gave our fridge a water line for an ice-maker, fixed a slow-draining sink, snaked a tub, cleaned out a roof vent, installed a better shut off valve for the hose, and replaced some junk pipe with higher quality materials. My Family has hired this small company for more the 40 years. Until I called TIM who now is the owner, Old Man Riling hired him in the 1980's. Anyway I called Tim to see how much it cost to unclogged a line. He told me $160.00. I said to him . Are you f*cking kidding me? He said. That's why I don't like calling you back, get somebody else. So I called 5 other plumbers all of them were under $160.00 dollars. Then I called a friend who manages some property. I asked him, if he had a snake. He said YES. so He came over . I hooked up the electric snake to power and 10 minutes later it was unclogged. Now for this plumber. To give me a quote of $160.00 was outrageous. And he lost a great customer who has spent thousands over the years. As KARMA has it I saw him at the STOP SIGN a few days later, and gave him the middle finger as I drove pass and guess what he called my house all butthurt.
