We went with group of close friends to the restaurant on May 3, 2024 for the experience mainly as we were not too hungry. The ambiance was great!! Beautiful views but it got soured but very poor service. Our waiter was pretty rude and condescending, most requests were answered as a no and she was even questioning why we were not ordering more. While staying at the St Regis, we made 3 visits to RIME for breakfast, and 3 for cocktail hour on the patio. If you're trying to join for cocktail hour, get there probably 45 minutes earlier than you're expecting if you'd like a seat outside. In terms of food - the lobster roll was tasty, but came with significantly less meat than I'd expect for the price. But, the split top roll was grilled perfectly and oozed butter. The oysters were nice, but I would have loved our server to explain where they were from versus just dropping them on the table and walking away. Breakfast was alright, but it was a touch frustrating to pay $12 for coffee when they were giving out (the same) coffee, for free, to guests of the hotel (which we were) right outside the restaurant door... They removed coffee from the rooms (due to COVID), so you had to literally go into the restaurant to get a cup of coffee (for free). My berry bowl was great, super fresh, and delicious. I do think spacing between tables/guests could have been improved upon a bit... Some of the "open seating" flexibility allowed guests who were wandering around without masks on (against their policy) to sit VERY close to us. Although this wasn't a big deal to me personally, I would understand if those in high risk categories would be a little alarmed. Overall, if I wasn't staying in the hotel I wouldn't have gone out of my way to eat breakfast or grab a cocktail here for the price. Not worth the time, trouble, cost. We arrived on time, waited with 25 others for the funicular. It was hot in the waiting area, the funicular was hot, the fan didn't work. Once we arrived and were seated, our servers arrived. We were offered drinks. Our group of 6 requested Old Fashions with an option of bourbons. David told us there were to many to name, "we will be here all night"...we asked about 5 different ones, ALL they didn't have. So we settled on what was available. One at our table ordered an Espresso Martini. It took 30 min and was asked for 2 times for it. Then we were told, items we are out off...herb butter, pepper jam, BBQ octopus and Porterhouse steak. The tables first course (salad) took over one hour. The caesar salads were bland. Entrees: scallops were very salty (2 people at the table both agreed), fish was average, Ribeye was the best at the table but remember the expectation was low at this point. Onion ring and squash sides were bland. The tomato side was 6 small wedges, grocery store quality in Winter. The cheddar biscuits were dry and not worth the butter that we had to ask for. Once entrees were finished, David asked for our dessert order. Each couple ordered a dessert, Warm smore cookie. Again bland, not warm and dry. Not one person at the table finished their dessert. Our server noted that our service was poor and comped the desserts. We are the last ones to leave the restaurant with a 7:45 reservation. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. There are many better options in Park City. $100. whole bass and $200+ Porterhouse steak should be accompanied with impeccable taste and service. The service at a luxury hotel should be equally as superior. I hope this review is used to improve the food AND service. There is room for improvement. Good but far from great. Being the fine dining option at the St Regis, one would expect a pretty top notch experience. Maybe lunch right off the slopes would've been a better time. The Wagyu Carpaccio was bland. The Main Lobster Pan Roast is actually a gnocchi dish with quite a bit lobster for a starter. While my wife enjoyed the double cut Berkshire pork chop, I thought my NY Strip was dry and tough. I'd expect more for an $88 entree. We typically go with the ribeye but I recently had the KC Strip at Colt & Alison (Sea Island, GA) and it was spectacular! Thought I'd give the strip another shot but apparently bone in and a little fat go a long way. Rime's was too chewy for my taste. read more

My wonderful waiter, Glenn, explained everything very well, and was fantastic. He accidentally let one cookie slip off my plate, and he offered to give me the entire plate free, but I declined. Was a little hesitant to go here as this restaurant had 3 Yelp stars at the time of this review. My experience was certainly worthy of 5 stars. We had the Clam Chowder which is rich and stronger on the bacon flavor, their focaccia bread and butter was delicious... we also ordered the truffle garlic fries... they were delicious but slightly over cooked... for our entrees we ordered the filet and the pork chop... both were cooked perfectly and really flavorful. For desert we had the apple pie... which is completely encased in crust. Overall I'm glad we are here and would do it again... especially for the convenience of staying at the hotel and not riding the tram down during COVID. read more

Returned for my second time this past weekend and let me tell you, I'd eat here every day if possible. We started with appetizers-Wagyu Carpaccio and Phenomenally soft bread, prior to getting the delicious entrees. I went with the Pork Chop, which came with candied bacon on top (pork on pork-yum!) while my friends went for steak with truffled lobster. Neither were disappointed. Not what one would expect from a St Regis restaurant. We had the Thanksgiving buffet thinking this would be the highlight meal of our trip and stay in Park City. We started with the salads. The lettuce did not look fresh or taste fresh. There were 4 dressings to choose from but only one spoon for all four. There was a sign stating what the four dressings were but each bowl was not labeled and 3 of the 4 looked very similar. One had to guess which was which. The salad toppings were ok. They had a carving station with Turkey, prime rib and salmon. The turkey was dry and not very tasty. The prime rib was ok but not great. Also they had no slices of prime rib which were cooked more well done. The salmon was simply bad. It was very dry and tough without much taste. The side dishes were a bit odd and other than mashed potatoes and stuffing were not typical Thanksgiving sides. They had a broccoli side which was not good, a brussel sprout and chorizo side which could have been good but I didn't see any chorizo. They had sliced French bread which was cold and hard. And also dinner rolls which were also hard like stones. Finally, I thought the dessert bar would be great based on its appearance. But again we were disappointed. They had cookies, but only 2 types, chocolate chip and butter cookies. Both were rock hard and cold. It's They had 2 pie choices, pumpkin and pecan. My husband, my daughter and myself all spit out the pumpkin pie after one bite. The pecan pie was the only good item of the evening. I have to say it was fantastic. The ambience was greats d service was pretty good. But the good quality made the overall experience a bad one. Park City is full of fantastic restaurants and one expect a restaurant at the St Regis to be exceptional. It is 5 out of 10 for good quality, 7 out of 10 for service and 9 out of 10 for ambience. This is our 12th stay at this St. Regis. It has been such a sad thing to watch this hotel go downhill and Rime restaurant does not help the matter. Breakfast has become a comedy of errors. They simply cannot get their act together to create a good experience for the patron. The food is abominable. Comes out cold and overcooked day after day. Lunch was better tasting but I ordered a salad with no cranberries and of course, I got cranberry. So many they were impossible to pick out. Had a great meal here last time we were in town. Had an 8:30 reservation with a closing time of 10pm. By the time we sat down they were out of half the items we wanted to order. This was on a Friday night with 1.5 hrs left until closing. The waiter proceeded to make excuses. I'd expect this at a two star diner, not at a five star hotel. I've eaten at the st Regis bar countless times during ski season for lunch or apres skis, and have always had a very nice experience. I decided to try Rime for dinner. Bad decision. They brought out a completely different appetizer than what we ordered 2x. Our mains then came before the correct appetizer. I ordered the "crispy chicken" for my main. I had assumed it was a nice piece of crispy skin on chicken (chicken under a brick?), consistent with an upscale restaurant. I was mistaken. It was a thin fried boneless chicken breast consistent with a fast food restaurant. Needless to say, for almost $50, this was shocking. They were clearly short staffed, and while our waiter wasn't very attentive, he was very nice and clearly tried his best. We were guests of the hotel and decided to dine at Rime for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We also enjoyed breakfast here during our stay. I'll start by reviewing dinner. Dinner: The concierge made reservations for my husband and I for 7:00pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and a few larger parties were already lined up waiting for their table when we arrived. We did not have to wait and were seated promptly. For our starter, we enjoyed a dozen raw oysters from British Columbia. I wish I had taken photos of the dinner this evening, but we were hungry so we ditched the phones and dove right in. The oysters were fresh as noticeably tasted in the liquor of the oyster (just enough brine and salty 'ocean' taste). We enjoyed the oysters, plain, with a spritz of fresh lemon wedge, but we also enjoyed the accoutrements that the accompanied the oysters such as the mignonette/wine vinegar, horseradish and cocktail sauce. For our main course, I ordered the Idaho Trout and my husband ordered the Seared Scallops. When we ordered, our waiter detailed that the main proteins were served simply; (i.e., with just a lemon wedge and no sides or sauces). As a result, we opted to share a side of mushroom barley but did not order any sauces. The trout was cooked to perfection and might I add, it was a large portion size. The trout came with a grilled lemon wedge, sprig of thyme and 3 decent sized filets. The best part was the crispy trout skin of course! I didn't need any sauce or seasoning. My husband's dish came with 4 scallops and a wedge of lemon and sprig of thyme. The scallops were perfectly seared on the outside and tender on the inside. Our waiter must have felt we needed more flavor and offered us a complimentary chimichurri sauce which was also healthy and delicious. For dessert, we decided to polish off the meal with a deliciously decadent slice of chocolate cake. Overall, dinner was great, but there were times when service or attention to our table was lacking. Often we had empty cups of water and the waiter was not attentive when we were finished with our meal. It took a while for him to notice that we were ready to pay the bill. Other than that, don't let the 3-star review scare you away from dining at this restaurant. Food was great and ambience was beautiful. Breakfast: My husband and I ate at Rime for breakfast all 3 days of our stay. We usually wander out into town on our vacations, but the weather was a bit rainy/stormy the weekend we were there. I have a feeling most of the negative reviews might be from the lack of good service and a confused kitchen during the breakfast hours... On our first morning, breakfast was really great. Service was attentive and our food arrived at the table promptly. My husband and I ordered the berry bowl (chia seeds, nut butter, toasted coconut, mixed berries, and glazed pecans) which was so addicting. I had to order this bowl everyday and share it with my husband. The amount of ingredients in the berry bowl probably isn't worth $14; however, if you want something other than their mixed fruit plate, this is definitely a great option. For the main breakfast entree, we ordered the "All American" breakfast. This came with a lightly dressed salad, breakfast potatoes, two eggs cooked your way, and your choice of meat (bacon, pork sausage, or chicken sausage). The All American breakfast was filling and we enjoyed all of the meats (bacon was super crispy, pork sausage was perfectly savory and juicy, while the chicken sausage was on the sweeter side and a bit more lean). On our 2nd day, I ordered the Avocado toast with an addition of smoked salmon. This toast was piled high with avocado and was served with the lightly dressed-salad. I loved the poppyseed bread that they used for toast, it added a rich "nutty" flavor to the bread and complemented the smoked salmon. Would highly recommend the avocado toast. The second morning we ate at Rime, we heard several guests complain about their service, but we were still pleased with the attention we received from our waitress. The third morning we had breakfast at Rime, a few guests had wrong orders and many guests hadn't received their food promptly... When we received our food, they had forgotten to put sausage links onto my plate and the food took about 30 minutes to arrive at the table. The service wasn't exceptional for the expectations of staying at a hotel such as the St. Regis. Additionally, I wish they wouldn't charge for coffee since they serve complimentary coffee right outside the front door of the restaurant for hotel guests. You could technically go into the restaurant with the free cup of coffee and not pay for it at the restaurant but we paid every time. Overall, Rime was not only a convenient restaurant for us to dine at during our stay, but the food was delicious and the view of the mountains from the restaurant was amazing. But the menu reflects a fairly basic steak and seafood restaurant with everything a la carte including any sauce you choose which means the preparation is basically butter and salt no matter what you choose. Didn't get a chance to dine in this restaurant, and shocked at the quality overall from what we experienced. This is located in the resort (St. Regis) that we were staying at. When you spend the money that you do, to stay at the quality of resort this St. Regis holds itself to, it is very shocking and extremely disappointing to feel like you are walking into a crapshow. It feels that every staff member available is clueless, and feeling no manager presence. I hate saying this, as I know they are people trying to make a living and provide their best service (maybe) and I don't want to hurt feelings or come across heartless. However, the simplest task of answering a question "Is there a table available for two, or should we make a reservation?" shouldn't take 30 minutes to never receive an answer on, and receive deer in headlights eyes. I hope it was just a bad day, but little things that should be very simple to do, we expected more in St. Regis. read more

I think this restaurant needs to rethink their interior space. The outdoor seating is great, but it's first come - first serve. (I also think that policy should change and allow for outdoor tables to be reserved.) The indoor space totally lacks the upscale feeling their menu would be trying to present. It's just too big and open to other tables/kitchen noise/hostess stand noise. On top of that, as it is the only dinner restaurant in the resort, it was full of families with little kids - which further makes this, in my opinion, a much more casual restaurant than their pricing would suggest. The hostess stand and waiting area are somewhat in part of the dining room - adding a noise factor and further taking away from any ambience. The food was not as good as we hoped. And while we thoroughly liked our server, the manager was very cold and appeared unorganized. He definitely was not guest oriented. Overall it wasn't worth a nice night out. read more

Then the amount of service we received was worse than we could get at an Albertos on a Saturday night at 2am. They NEVER came to the table to take our order. I want to thank the unaccommodating hostess for not honoring request for our party of 5 to sit outside on my 50th birthday. We had the reservation confirmed twice as we were hotel guests, and asked twice prior to our reservation to sit outside on the deck. We showed up to a completely vacant restaurant at 7:30 pm , July 12th. and asked to be sat outside. The hostess informed us that only parties of 4 could be sat outside. Why? Who knows. She was quite rude, and considering the restaurant was empty, we decided to go someplace else. There was another larger party she shooed away after us. We come to Deer Valley every year and stay at the St Regis. I was looking forward to trying Rime as we always enjoyed J&G grill yearly. I have to say, it was a complete disappointment!!! In a city of excellent restaurants, it was a total waste to have spent one dinner at this place. The appetizers were decent but not spectacular. Some of the items were carried over from J&G Grill but the portion sizes had shrunk by a significant amount. I ordered the short rib rigatoni and I barely got it down with a glass of water in one hand because it was DRENCHED in wine sauce that made it both sour and extremely salty. My husband ordered a salmon and it looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. We ordered my son a marinara pasta from the kids menu and it was pretty much inedible. Yes, it's the kids' menu, but still it needs to be edible. The marinara was clumpy and the spaghetti was hard to chew (kids don't really enjoy al dente). My other son's steak was just ok at best. The only good thing about our dinner was our server who was very friendly. Stay away from this place and go enjoy many of the awesome restaurants in Deer Valley. read more

While the food is very good, I was shocked by the capacity and and lack of table spacing in the restaurant with COVID-19. Every table was full and the tables were jam packed in one room, not 6 ft apart. I'm very surprised an establishment as prestigious as the St. Regis would operate like this. Our family wore masks the entire time and felt unsafe, so it was hard to enjoy the experience. I didn't like this place at all! We went for a friends birthday for 5 people our bill was over $1000 and ordered not much food and one bottle of wine! I was shocked! The steak was underwhelming nothing special and I ordered it medium and it came back well done so I had to wait for it even longer but it took forever! Everyone had to watch me eat because they were done. We never had refills on our water and the menu was so small and they were out of almost all the things we first wanted to order. We made the night great because of the people there but the dinner was a total joke! I don't know how they can't have a better menu, better service and food for the location, that is what you would expect. I won't be back and wont recommend it to anyone! Tonight my family and I went to dinner at Rime, the newest restaurant of the St. Regis which is a five star hotel. The service was amazing and our server was incredible. Unfortunately as our main courses arrived the meals were cold, and unevenly heated which led us to believe they were microwaved. As the manager came and apologized and said how this was not something normal that goes on here we understood as things like this can happen. He offered to remake our main courses since we we not in any hurry. As our dinner came out again it was just as cold as before and most likely microwaved. The manager did not come back, although our amazing waiter put in extra dessert for us. The dessert was great and I cannot stress enough that the service was good, but the food was sub-par. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE ALERT!!! The food was good but the service is lacking by a mile. Christmas Eve dinner was a disaster. First of all, they have this broken system of a "clean team" and "dirty team" to promote COVID safety. Although it sounds great, it is very flawed. Dirty plates sat at our table for way too long. We had to ask for silverware multiple times and then when our dessert was served, we had no plates. We also had no plates when our dinner was served. We ordered the most expensive special on the menu, the 64oz Porthouse and were treated like peasants. Our server spent most of his shift at another table and seemed to be overly "forgetful" of our requests. We had to ask for drinks. We had to ask for the sauces accompanying the steak. We were practically rushed out of the restaurant as our server started mentioning the bill before dessert was even served. Worst fine dining experience ever. We will not be returning.
