Not our first visit to a Riscky's but my husband wanted to take me to the location his GrandDad took him to as a kid. After an hour drive, we both arrived very hungry. This location has officially ruined it for the other restaurants. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. Friendly staff. We enjoyed looking at all the antiques while we waited for our food. Their sliced brisket sandwiches are unmatched. Absolutely delicious!! Better than any of the other locations. 10/10 recommend! This will be our go to. One of my favorite things about Riscky's is they serve their BBQ sauce in bottles that are warmed. Oh man!! Perfection! And don't forget to get your Riscky's cup. Thank you for keeping up the great work!

My buddies and I went to Risky's BBQ when I landed in DFW from MT which was first thing on our list to do while we are here on business. We all got the all you can eat ribs!! We combined ate 50 ribs!!! If you like meat, then this is the place to come gorge yourself with friends. The price was super reasonable. Completely recommend.

    Rustic charm to boot.

I was introduced to this BBQ from a work function catered by Riscky's a month ago. I have heard of them for quite some time but never got around to eating here. Car is at a muffler shop a block away. Why not stop in? As soon as you see this place you are reminded a a small tow country store. The kind that used to sell both Coke and milk..... In glass bottles. That far back. Rustic charm abounds. Antinue nic nacs stock the shelves. The smell of smoke wafting throughout the store reminds you this place has greater purpose... smokes meats. Just a bit of time for a hot link basket. The food truly compliments the decor, awesome. I had shoestring fries with the order and instead of ketchup drizzled them with thier signature sauce. It was really like no sauce I have made or tasted. Really. The sauce was sweet, tangy, extraordinary. The store is situated in Fort Worths historic Northside. Old city charm. A mix of family homes and businesses and in the middle of this sits Riscky's. The service, super friendly, warm. Service was pretty fast as well. Well worth a 5 star review. Just have to put them in rotation from here on. Take care Yelpers.

We popped into this little old barbecue place on Azle the first night in Fort Worth and what a treat! Amazing food and the manager, Chase Speed and counter man Michael Jackson were friendly and took time to make us welcome, even though they were minutes away from closing. The brisket and fries were delish and we went back for more every day of our visit. We did go to the Risckys in Sundance Square and had the all you can eat ribs. They were melt in your mouth delish. You can't go wrong with this barbecue. Had the '5 for 5' chopped brisket sandwiches-they did not disappoint! Delish! We'll be back! Thanks guys

Fun ambiance! Grab a seat on the patio ! The pork ribs were nice and tender I large plate for s decent price. Served with a house pickle pretty tasty a little spice to it too. Our server was friendly and attentive. Kids got a macaroni plate very yummy not just kraft warmed up like some places . The wait was a little long but I guess that just shows how well liked the place is .

I am from the south (MS) to be specific..so when it comes to BBQ... my tastes buds are just accustomed to certain things... this place was recommended to me by a church member and she RAVED about their beef ribs.... I'll take a beef rib over Porky's any day...sooo...my expectation was a bit high especially after reading the reviews... so my fam and got up and drove 30 min to check this place out... restaurant is cool...LOTS AND LOTS of antiques.. which I found to be pretty cool....let's cut to the chase.... the ribs were actually pretty good... tender... not real tough... okay smoked flavor... seasoned okay.... the bbq sauce... was a definite pass.... THE SIDES... HORRIBLE.... from the mac n cheese to the potato salad... just not right... the only decent sides were the fries and the fried okra.... probably just come back to get ribs only... the price was surprisingly not expensive at all hence the 3 stars

But Yelp is rarely wrong so off I go. I showed up and ordered from a small kitchen woo. Menu was on a board. I got a single patty chz burger w/ crispy FFs. Order showed up a few minutes later. This burger was one of the best I've ever had. And I've had Margie's in Bryan and this one is right there. Juicy patty, grilled onions, melting cheese, a little salt n pepper. Oh so good. The FFs are good too. Thin sliced n seasoned just right - for me. And rounding it off old school, RC Cola. It was a great lunch.

We had a weekday off and decided to make an effort to show up. We werent disappointed! We didnt want to go into a food coma, so we ordered an indian taco to share and some tater tots. It took maybe 7 minutes for our order, which was not bad at all with them frying up the frybread on order. To our surprise, the owner decided that the one frybread we were initially having was too small, so we got two "medium" frybreads with all the fixings. The owner is super nice and didnt have to do that! The frybread itself is the best Ive had at a restaurant in DFW. Its soft, while crispy and substantial in its doughiness. The fixings are not fancy, but they are executed well in every aspect. I like that they offer green chili sauce in addition to all the typical taco fixings. The tater tots were super crispy and were exactly what I wanted in tater tots. While the seating here is in a covered outdoor shack, they do have air conditioning. The day we visited was a pleasant 70 degrees, so there was no need for the AC to run. But I also mention this in case you come in August. I imagine the AC unit does a good job, but its not a typical interior setup.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

The fried mushrooms were meh for me, and the salad was ok. That said, the bread that comes with the meal is excellent, and the creamed spinach was very good. I think they could step up their ranch game. The steak, though, absolutely stole the show. We ordered the Cattlemen's Porterhouse. It is a very large steak and easily enough for two people. You really just need to order an extra salad and maybe one or two sides. Ours was a little undercooked, but we did not send it back. We ate it and were still very, very happy with it. We also had the onion ring appetizer, which was excellent. They are onion rings, so don't go in expecting some world-changing event, but they were very good. Sweet onions, cooked well, and served with barbecue sauce and ranch. Do yourself a favor and skip the barbecue sauce. Get double ranch. Back to the steak: it was easily one of the top five best steaks I have ever had. I travel extensively for work, eat out often, and have been fortunate to visit some of the nicest steakhouses in the country. Maybe this was a one-time fluke, but gosh darn it, that steak was amazing. It is cooked over a wood-fired grill and has an incredible smoky char. The flaky salt they put on top after grilling just sets it off. It was phenomenally well seasoned. I highly recommend Cattlemen's. We will absolutely be back again -- just maybe not ordering the fried mushrooms next time. One tip: if there is a long wait, check OpenTable. The iceberg wedge salad was fresh and well-balanced, with tangy dressing and blue cheese that complemented it nicely. The only downside was the wait-time estimate. The hostess quoted us 35 minutes, but we were seated in just 10. We had almost left for another restaurant, so a more accurate estimate would have been appreciated. Service: Our server, Sierra, went above and beyond. She kept us updated while the kitchen searched for chili flakes and sincerely apologized when they couldn't find any. When we asked about the menu and the restaurant's history, she enthusiastically shared stories and even brought us an original menu from the 1940s, where the prime rib was listed for just $1.34. The manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Ambience: The restaurant has a warm, nostalgic atmosphere, with classic American songs playing in the background. The booths are spacious and comfortable, making it an enjoyable place to relax and enjoy a meal.

On this visit, I ordered the Double Love Burger along with a side of fries and onion rings. The food was good, but the kitchen was clearly backed up, resulting in a longer-than-expected wait. They'll call your order number over the loudspeaker when it's ready, but with the crowd and noise level, hearing it can be a challenge. The restaurant is spread across three levels. The main floor is where you place your order, pick up your food, and access the restrooms.
