Really hate to give this review. Have been there four or five times. It has gone down-hill in my opinion. The quality and service don't match the price. Cocktail quality in the bar have gone very backwards. We would be happy to have a place with great drinks/food and pay for them. Restaurant space is nice and food is above average. Understaffed to deliver real service. Stay away for cocktails; basic things tasted weird. Order something out of a bottle. read more

We love Seabrook and we're so hopeful this would be our spot when we come every year. The asthetic is lovely and the staff is were friendly. The kids food came out fast. Our daughter loved her Mac and cheese. Our sons gosh and chips was undercooked, thankfully they comped his meal. The rest of the adults food took a very long time and was underwhelming and they forgot an entree. The serving staff was apologetic and comped a second meal. Great food but seriously in need of coaching for the staff. 2 of us went to have dinner. Upon arrival I saw at least 4 open 4 tops & 2-3 open smaller tables; one of which was just step's from where we stood. Rather than offer to seat us, we were walked to an unmarked back door that connected to a dark, loud (sports channels on) tavern that is connected to the restaurant. My friend & I were so confused-- and finding it hard not to be a little offended. We were dressed nicely & wanted a nice dinner with a good ambience--not a sports bar vibe. Yet somehow this "hostess" felt it was appropriate to redirect us to the tavern. When I asked why that was done, she tried to explain it away by saying that when they get busy, they try to redirect folks to the bar. Ok- the restaurant was not that busy, and it was a Thursday night. I ask to be seated at the 2 top we were walked by, and she obliged. I sat down feeling irritated & worried for how the rest of the experience would go. The server then came over, and while pouring water into our water glasses, had her entire upper body over the table. Seriously awkward & weird. Our food was really good, no issue there. Cauliflower burger was delicious as was steak salad. But upon asking for a 2nd glass of wine, 10 minutes went by...again, not a busy night & I can see our server across the restaurant not doing much of anything - nor anything about our wine. So I had to say excuse me 3 times before the bartender (5 feet away) looked up at me. Maybe that's because the music was on so loud in the restaurant that you could barely hear yourself. Realizing that she had forgotten our order the server, then came over and fully overcompensated for her delay. Multiple apologies - again, just awkward & weird. During the course of our dinner, my friend had mentioned our birthdays. Apparently the server heard that so she brought over a crème brûlée, which in theory is a nice gesture, but then proceeded to say 'happy birthday - we never do this, so hope you enjoy.' Huh? What? Seriously so bizarre. Struck me as super passive aggressive, especially given the prior experiences. The finale was that when our check was brought, it included the dessert that we didn't even ask for. What?! Within about two minutes the server came flying back over and said 'oh sorry my bad let me take that off of there!' Lots of opportunities to read the room, your customers, soften the ambiance (turn down the music & light votives you have at the table!) & basic wait service. Left very disappointed. Overall, this place was pretty good. Service was fine, nothing special. Menu seems a little small for a tavern, but it is still a new-ish restaurant so I'm willing to ignore that. The food is nothing special, except for the fries. The fries are crazy delicious, super crispy and super flavorful. The rest kind of falls flat. The burger was just a normal burger, nothing that I would write home about. Overall, this place is pretty good, but not someplace you should go to if you want a stand-out experience. read more

Super yummy food. The staff is genuine and kind. They have solid fish and chips, salmon is my favorite. The burgers are smash patty style and some of the best I've ever had. Their cocktail menu is next level. Clearly the owners and bartenders know their stuff. The rising tides food/ clam chowder is disappointing. I paid 16$ for a horrible chowder, there was way to much carrots and hardly any clams in it. I never write restaurant reviews but this place really pissed me of. We took a seat at the bar. After 20 minutes the bartender finally took our order. A burger and some fish and chips...how hard is that? We sat there for over an hour when the bartender told us that we were behind another large order and apologized for the delay. We ordered another beer and sat there for another hour. Finally after two hours he told us our order was about 5 minutes away. 20 minutes later he came back and said the fish and chips were done but they had just started the burger. I said charge me for the beer but we're out of here. $34.00 for 4 beers. Most places would have said the beer is on the house but no not this place. Never again. read more

We were denied service at this restaurant. We had a party of 12, an employee said we were too big of a party. We offered to be split up in whatever way necessary. The employee declined. I wandered by at around 12:50 on a Saturday. I originally was going to order from Frontagers but they were packed per usual. So I thought I'd try this place. Ordered 4 adult entrees and 4 kids entrees to go. As I sat at the bar I noticed how empty the place was. Three tables were seated. I waited about 30 minutes which isn't terrible. But then again I ordered like 6 sandwich dishes two fish and chips and a kids Mac and cheese. The bad: I left a 20% tip on my to go order. And wasn't even offered a water as I waited for my food. Every single dish was bad. The chicken sandwich, burgers, and steak sandwich all tasted like nothing. Literally no seasoning. Every dish was buried in these jojo style fries that were also bland and lacking in crispness. The chicken sandwich had a piece of rotten lettuce on it. The mac and cheese was disgusting. It tasted like over cooked pasta drenched in Tostitos queso mix. Someone else remarked that it tasted like watered down movie theater nacho cheese. Overall - hella gross. I spent 164 dollars and no one finished their food. read more

The food here is good but not worth the wait times for service. After being seated it took around 15 minutes to even get a drink order placed. We got our food which was good but once we were served our food we never saw the waitress again. When we were finished we waited about 20 minutes before the hostess finally came to our table to ask if we needed anything else. We wanted another round of drinks and dessert but by the time they got to our table all we wanted to do was leave. No one was even in our area to even flag down. I like to be patient with places since I know being understaffed is pretty common these days but there seemed to be plenty of workers running around. Next time I'm at Seabrook I will definitely go to one of the other places to eat and recommend skipping out on this one. read more

I'm going to have to rate it one star because we didn't get a chance to eat any of the food. I went with my daughter and two grandsons to get a take out order so that the other people in the family could remain home and we could all eat together once we brought the food back. At first the man who greeted us was nice. Once he found out we wanted to do take out he told us to sit down as he had to seat the people who came in after us. After he sat them he came back and I asked if we could see a menu. He pointed outside and told us to go stand outside and look at the menu. He also said it would be 45 minutes before he would be able to even take our order. There were open tables and NO ONE else was waiting. I asked why we couldn't see a menu and he gave me a lecture. I would like to say... my daughter had planned to spend nearly 300 on a meal that night. She ordinarily tips 30%. After we decided to go he said "have a good night". Nothing but mean and rudeness here. If the food is good..we'll never know because although we intend on coming back to Seabrook we DO NOT intend on trying to eat here in the restaurant OR take out. Staff acted as if they were doing you a favor the entire time. We tried to order items with cod but it was out. The burgers had zero seasoning. Fried chicken sandwich was stringy and lacking flavor. Atmosphere- friendly, inviting with good service. Food- fish and chips ( no ketchup given except tartar sauce) we got used to restaurants doing it on their own where we came from and should've doubled checked before leaving -oil needs to be changed since it came out pretty dark/ good amount of portion of cod and good fries / hubby got Caesar salad $14 with an added chicken breast- please don't get the added chicken breast of $14 Hubby got upset due to the chicken was disgusting and it was a size of a toddlers hand...and if customers ordered a drink to go they would expect it to be filled all the way up not 3.75. We were both a bit disappointed since it's such a beautiful town and food just doesn't match up to the beauty of where we are. read more

My only regret is waiting until our last day to try this place! Everything was delicious! The kids mini cheese burgers were full of ooey goey cheese, with a dab of fry sauce type sauce and loaded onto a brioche bun. The ling cod fish and chips were crispy and full of perfectly cooked fish. The Pacifica cocktail was so beautiful I didn't want to drink it, and when I did it was packed with grapefruit/floral flavor and a light sparkle. We like to have at least one meal at Rising Tide every time we come to Seabrook. The catch of the day is always amazing and the burger is delicious. We tried the new arugula salad this time even though their Caesar salad is my favorite. If you haven't tried their Brussel sprouts ... it's worth adding it to your must try list. Horrible service on a normal Saturday afternoon. Was passed over several times after making eye contact with multiple staff members who said, "we'll be right with you." Others who came in after us, were served and brought menus before us, despite the multiple eye contacts we made with wait staff and bartenders. Waited for 10 minutes before leaving. Upon leaving with no service, the staff noticed we got up (and say "omg are they leaving?") and said "thanks for coming" loud enough for the entire bar to hear. read more

To be honest I had a bit higher expectations for this place. It's one of the 3 places for breakfast spots in Seabrook. We ordered chicken fried steak covered with country gravy with hash browns, scrambled eggs and Eggs Benedict. The hash browns for a bit burnt, eggs were a tad over cooked. The country gravy was very disappointing. It was bland and nothing good about it. So keep in mind if you order biscuits and gravy, you may only be getting biscuits covered in thickened milk. I will say that we will not be coming back here for breakfast next time we visit. read more

We were in Seabrook on a quiet weekday. Stopped in for lunch. We were the ONLY customers. Pleasant server and we ordered a salad, 1 pork slider, and a pork chop with salad sides. FORTY FIVE MINUTES later, the meal arrived. It would be understandable if the place was packed, but what we ordered was probably made ahead and just needed to be heated up and plated. At one point my husband asked our server to check on the meal and (pretty sure he shrugged) said "they're working on it ". No checking, no small talk, no explanation. No magazines to read. LOL. The food was fine but after waiting that long and in a BORING SPACE, we won't go back. read more

The back bar is great, smaller. Try the salmon cakes! Oh my gosh! The cocktails are true craft. Love this place.
