Sketchy business practices. They ran a credit check without our knowledge or permission when we simply did a quick test drive. We stopped by to test drive a specific vehicle my husband saw online. They requested to hold onto my husband's drivers license during the test drive. Most other salesmen at other dealers just kept the license with them until the test drive was over. This dealership took it to their sales office. After the test drive, we asked for the license back and left. A few weeks later, we received a notification in the mail from Experian telling us Riverside Hyundai had run our credit. I have never had a dealership run our credit during the test drive stage when we were not interested in actually purchasing from them. I'm not even exactly sure how they did it without our SS# but it had to have been using the info on my husband's ID somehow. read more

So my car was purchased on Aug 25,2023 well all could change service we're done before due before the 2 yr mark came up beginning of Aug 2025 car engine sound like it was gonna blow up all check engine lights turned on. We take it in 30,000 miles well engine defective get a new one 2 weeks later .get car back with new engine 2 days later same problem they connect to computer nothing noise still there 3 more days go by and noise it worse we record it and video it .they were trying to have us leave saying nothing was wrong til we showed video. They then heard noise in person gave us a rental said it was dominoes effect of defective car. One week goes by we have text messages admitting car has abnormal noise no explanation but come get ur car. Talk to Phil the liar in the first place who sold us car . That old mine is a liar go to any other sales man but him he will screw u . Well Phil asked how much is owed on car I said 30k he calls me back saying it's worth 13 thousand only way to make it ok is to get me a new electric car much more expensive and I'm negative 9 but he said value was 13 that's negative 17 and electric would put another car purchase on me higher payment he said he's helping me I told him it's under warranty helping me is making me equal I wouldn't need new if this one didn't mess up he's like 2 yrs driven I would have driven it longer if engine didn't want to blow. He was rude trying to hang up and said u got new engine that was ur warranty I told him 2 yrs still under warranty warranty is 3to 5 he said I told him new engine still defective car took 2 more times after new engine and it's still under warranty Phil then said no it's not I recorded conversation and now have a lawyer go to Honda more reliable don't buy from Phil whatever u do he now wants to direct me to service manager read more

We took our 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe to a dealer for service because it was closer to us. BIG mistake! So we decided to drive a bit further and go back to the dealer where we bought our car. David Ruiz was kind and professional and our car was done quickly and they even washed it for us. The waiting room is very nice with complimentary coffee, tea and snacks along with comfortable seating. Had an appointment to bring my car in at 7am, brought my car around 715am didn't get a call it was ready until 530pm- 10ish hours to service my car, never taken that long anywhere else They weren't going to tell me anything was wrong with my car I had to insist on getting the point inspection list When I got my car back it had a horrible smell like they left my window open in the rain or something. Only gave 2 stars because seemed like the receptionist did the best she could to help me understand what needs to be fixed on my car even though a service person should have been the one addressing the concerns with my car. Riverside Hyundai promptly reached out to rectify their mistake. We received a phone call from Tommaso Santini, Sales Manager, apologizing for what had happened and expressed a desire to work things out. He offered to sell us the car at MSRP (eliminating the $5,000 mark-up) and to give us $26,000 for our trade. We were at work so we told him we would come by afterward. Upon arrival at the dealership, we were greeted by Brian "Big B" Wilson, Sales Manager, who had 2 print-outs for us to review (one with the trade and one without the trade). He again apologized for the gross mishandling of our transaction, assured us that those involved are being dealt with and said he wanted to make things right. He listened to our frustrations and was willing to negotiate in order to correct the mistakes that were made. We appreciated his "matter-of-fact" style and how he told it like it is. Honesty was exactly what we needed after everything that had transpired so thank you for the transparency and for thoroughly explaining everything. In the end, Brain "Big B," eliminated the mark-up on the MSRP as promised, increased the value of my trade (from $26,000 to $28,054) and got us to a comfortable monthly payment (from the $650 we were initially quoted the previous evening to $527). Although this was an absolute nightmare and we endured more stress than ever necessary, we appreciate how swiftly Riverside Hyundai reached out, how they owned up to their mistakes and their willingness to make things right. My husband and I had been shopping for a new car that was a hybrid. My friend recommended the Lexus, which we checked out first, beautiful car, but really costly. We then checked Toyota and they were priced almost as high as the Lexus, and their sales people were pretty pushy. We also checked out the Mazdas, but they did not have any hybrids. So we decided to check out the Hyundai. They were pretty friendly, not too pushy and I found I really liked the Santa Fe, but we didn't buy at the time. I was recently referred to Costco Auto program, so I went that route. I was given a certificate and a list of contacts to reach out to. I ended up working with Dasan Knight and the process could not have been better. I told him what I wanted (through my husband's research we had decided on the Blue Tucson hybrid) and we brought in our trade in and were given a very fair price for it, so that finalized our decision. Now the only thing was the model in the color I wanted was not available on their lot, so Dasan offered a discounted price on a higher model, but we weren't in a hurry so we decided to wait for the car we wanted. We completed our paperwork with the promise of our car being delivered within a couple of days. Everything worked out perfectly and Dasan delivered our car to us in the pouring ran and drove off with our trade in. It was such a great experience, but it doesn't stop there. Dasan then spent a couple of hours with us going over all the details/options of the car and how to use them, he helped setup the bluelink on our phones and even gave us his cell number and told us to call him anytime day or night if needed anything. We now have had the car for almost a month and I just got back from a complimentary detailing. The staff there are great, the whole time I felt like I was hanging out with friends. I have already recommended the car and Dasan to friends, so when they are ready to buy I'm sure they'll look him up. Oh yeah, as for the car we could not be happier, we both love it so much, such a smooth drive and the mileage is unbelievable close to 500 for a full tank, driving it in eco mode. Dasan was very patient with me, and my daughters, with their indecisiveness, with not even knowing what they wanted, and he did everything in his power to make sure they got into the right vehicle. Well, my wife and I made it in to Riverside Hyundai this past Saturday. We were in desperate need of a new car. We just settled a suit with Nissan and had to surrender the car we just lemon lawed (4 transmissions in 3 years) looking around to various dealerships and hearing all sorts of promises, we had some credit challenges and none of them could do anything because of it, or didn't want to. I have purchased 2 previous cars from Riverside Hyundai and made great deals. We did not have an appointment this past Saturday and went in with low expectations. We first met Ray in sales, he immediately heard us out on what we were looking for, the challenges we had although we make great money. He immediately directed us to a great used vehicle, 2014 Hyundai Sonata with one previous owner, 55,000 on the odometer, absolutely clean car fax report, was only driven 5000 miles per year and was meticulously taken care of, not a scratch on it, drove great,sunroof, beautiful. Tinted windows. We wanted it and we talked #'s with Ray and the sales manager Ted (a very nice guy) who told me about his previous career like he was talking to a friend. We got the payment below what was expected, they even took off 2 grand of the selling price. We got a used car that looks and performs like a new car. Gil in finance finished up the deal and gave us a 36 k or 3 years service contract. The day couldn't have been better. Liars and thieves. Make sure you get everything in writing when dealing with these people. Clemente sold me a 2022 Hyundai Tucson and offered a few things that now he's claiming he never said. I was about to walk out with my paid off ford explorer when Clemente offered "10 years service, the free Hyundai app and digital key." Now the claims he never said any of those things and was hostile with me over the phone when I was recalling what I heard. He kept saying "they only offer 3 years service" and the supervisor said the same thing. When I attempted to keep them on topic, they continued gaslight me. I know what I heard from Clemente the night I bought my car bc it was one of the main sells for me and I even said it to him like "wow 10 years service that's a good deal". Even went and told my family and friends! So for them to both do the run around and say "we only offer 3 years" is a slap in the face. That's not the argument, the argument is what I was told vs what they really offer but they wouldn't acknowledge that and kept pushing my side if the story off like I didn't know what I heard. On top of that, they were rude and the manager called me "aggressive" when I was simply stating facts. They ended up hanging up on me and leaving me with nothing to make things right. I could not ask for a better experience! There's a Hyundai dealership close to my house that has been absolutely horrible and I felt like they were ripping us off. From repairs that went wrong, unusual charges and just poor customer service I was done! After the final straw, we took our car to this dealership and the experience was night and day. Sal was the guy who helped us out and he took care of us from day one. We had issues with the AC and a component in the levers for the seats. Thanks to Sal he discovered that we also had a major brake issue that was missed previous times by the other dealership. We had asked the other dealership if our brake pedal squeaking was an issue but they just put some lubricant between the pedals and we had this brake issue for a better part of 2 years and had no idea until Sal brought it to our attention. Through some trial and error and lots of diagnostics, they were able to figure it out. They literally treated us so well from updates every few days to even making sure we were covered when we had issues with our rental car. It took 8 people to fully charge my newly purchased electric car (Ioniq 5) using the charging station at the Riverside Hyundai dealership. 1. Owner used the Riverside Hyundai dealership charging station using the app recommended by the Riverside Hyundai dealership. Did not work. 2. Technician replied, "Sorry, I don't know how to charge". 3. Clerk #1 at Maintenance and repair desk, "sorry, I can't charge your car. Let me call a salesman." 4. Salesman #1, "Sorry, I can't charge your car here. I don't have a card. Let me call another salesman who has a charging card to swipe into the charging station. He is currently at another Hyundai lot. It will take a few minutes for him to get here." 5. Salesman #2, "Let me swipe this card at the charging station." After 10 minutes, it was apparent that the car was not charging. 6. Clerk #2 at maintenance and repair desk, "OK, I think I figured out how to charge the car." Car charged about 10%, but then I had to leave because more than 40 or 50 minutes had passed and I to get to another appointment. 7. Clerk #1, Upon return to the Riverside Hyundai dealership to get windows tinted, "OK, I'll see if I can get your new car charged as part of the service" 8. Mechanic (? assumption) charged the car to 100%. I appreciate Riverside Hyundai dealership going the extra mile and charging my brand new EV to 100%. read more

Riverside Hyundai more like we rob your hyundai! I took my 2012 veloster there since it had a starting issue. Gave me $13000 quote more than my car value to change entire electrical harness! And they were pushing me to buy a new car! I repeatedly said I'm a student and I can't afford new car I just want my car running. Well the issue was crank shaft sensor had to be replaced thats it! GIANI IS AMAZING!! I have been looking to trade in my car for a more family friendly one for some time now, and specifically aliked The 2024/2025 Hyundai Santa Fe. I live in Ventura county, and after calying my local dealership and getting quoted a ridlculous price at with added fees and markup I extended my phone search, looking at over a 100 mile radius (I wasn't afraid to travel for a good deal). Riverside Hyundai was one the first dealerships I contacted in the extended radius. They had the spec, color, and price online that worked for me, the only issue, the car was in transit and not on the lot. When I called, I spoke to Giani, she was pleasant, straight forward, transparent, and willing to make a deal! I let her know from the start that I was contacting other dealers to try and get the best price possible. That's when she went right to work! She gave me not only a very competitive offer, but also worked with her sales manager to better it! She even said that they would be willing to deliver the new car and pick up my trade and I wouldn't have to take my family the 2 1/2 hours away to make the deal!! My only cause for anxiety was the car was still "in transit" to the dealership and not on the lot. Giani was able to sooth that anxiety and give me updates as to the delivery date, and as soon as it was on the lot (a full week before it was scheduled) she immediately called!! I was so impressed that when a competing dealership contacted me with a cheaper offer at the last minute I declined, and said "Giani at Riverside has done all the work, and treated me and my family well, and we will stick with her!" Even at the last minute of closing the deal she was able to find another manufacture rebate and save us more money and a better financing rate!! To cap off the wonderful experience she took the 2 1/2 trek from the dealer to deliver the car herself. It was wonderful to meet her and her to meet my family. After a quickly finalizing of the paperwork, she drove off with my trade in to make the 2 1/2 drive back. I would 100% recommend the great people of Riverside Hyundai, and especially Giani!
