I received an express service flyer in the mail. It advertised an oil change in 30 minutes or less. I went in during lunch break. I was told they could not perform the service as advertised in the Nissan flyer. It would be an hour and a half to two hours. I told the service advisor I would go somewhere else and he told me to have a nice day. I believe that falls under false advertising and failure to protect future business. (Business 101). read more

BAIT & SWITCH The 2015 Nissan Versa MSRP is $11,990. The dealerships website lists 2 for $13,170. At the dealership showroom it was suddenly $18,750. Twice what the car was worth! After a test drive, the salesman said "I'm sorry, I have some grisly news. I can't sell you this car because it's at 2014." So we test drove a 2014 Mazda 3. On the way back to the office, another salesman started pushing a 2014 Toyota Corolla on me. Suddenly they had no interest in selling me a Mazda 3. I test drove the Toyota, then the sales manager came over and started trying to sell me on a 2014 Nissan Sentra. After 2 hours of being pushed in and out of cars they still wouldn't tell give me a price. They had me fill out extensive credit check forms, photo copy my license & info about my car, work phone, where I bank, savings or checking. All this and I never got a price. Then they hid my license in the back room and wouldn't give it back to me. It was a weird tactic to hold me hostage. They seem to think the price of the car or if you even like the car are completely unimportant. All they want to know if how much you can put down, and pay monthly. Then they wanted me to agree to drive home in one of their new cars today. How about a price!?! They want you to agree to a monthly, and just give them carte blanche on the total price. Their sales people work an endless barrage of relentless high pressure sales; taking turns pushing your buttons, then tagging off for another attack; while constantly blocking your escape routes. All I wanted was to get up, start screaming, run straight through the showroom window and down the street, or fake a heart attack and ride to safety in an ambulance. I have been in some nightmare sales situations before, but they take it to a whole new level. They will lie about price, they will try to charge you for floor mats, tried charging us twice for destination, lied about the features of the car to our face, and things already included in the price he tried charging for again such as the steering wheel and hubcaps. ABSURD. Most of all they violated the usaa contract by refusing to honor our price certificate and lying to us about the fine terms of USAA's contract. James is a sleazy liar and the whole dealership is a place of fraudulent practices built on violating customers. We took our business elsewhere and saved over two grand for the same exact car without being lied to, cheated, and taken advantage of. These guys are creeps. Came in to have a diagnostic done on my Vehicle (Nissan 2014) because it was running pretty rough, even though no light was on. Received a call the next day stating that their was water in my tail lights and the brake sensor back their was damaged which made my car loose power while driving. I have very little knowledge of cars so I said ok have it fixed they know what their doing. I was very confused at the fact that they had stated nothing was coming up in the scanner but they were sure it was that. Any-who, went that same day to pick it up. Payed 700 for them to basically change the tail light because the sensor it self was a recall,weird but ok. Drove it of the lot and with in 20 minutes, I was back in the dealership because the car was driving EXACTLY the same as when I took it in. I come in only to realize the service department was already closed but still insisted to speak to someone because I had just driven off the lot and my car was not fixed. Spoke to a salesmen about my situation and said he would grab someone for me. 2 Minutes later another salesman approaches me and I explain my situation again and he is in the same boat as the previous gentleman only trying to offer my another car. Possible trade in. I made it clear I was not interested in trading in my car strictly fixing it. He stated I should always test drive the car before paying/leaving, which in my head I came to NISSAN of riverside not any mechanic I explained to him I didn't even feel safe driving around especially with my son in the car and their was a moment of silence then he just said to bring it back Monday and talk to them. (This was a Saturday, Sunday's are Closed) Monday comes around we take it on around 4. Receive a call the next day (Tuesday) saying they have found the problem. My transmission needs to be entirely replaced on a car with only 79k miles. How is this possible!? How do they not detect this issue the first time?? I mean this is not something small I would think anything of that caliber should of been detected with either the code reader or simply the mechanics doing their job properly and trying to find every possible solution to the car when having a diagnosis done the first time. Just doesn't make sense. Asked to talk to the manager. Got a call with in a couple of hours while he was trying to explain to me how the brake switch had blocked the codes and wasn't able to have a full reading but they did the best with what was brought to them. The only thing at this point he could of done is put 500 of my 700 dollars towards the almost 4K fixed. I decided to go in the next day because this was not a conversation to have over a fone call. I go in only to find out he was not in, talked to the same representative. I asked if they had test drive it he claimed they always test drive all their cars so I asked for the mileage of when it came in and was sent off. He tried looking for it but could "find" the paper because it wasn't scanned into the system yet but this was the work that was done on Saturday (it's Wednesday by now) so that didn't make sense. Tried saying something happened to the car after I drove it off and he can't guarantee anything once it's driven of the lot. Basically saying if we drive it off the lot ok (which was still not accurate) that's all that mattered. He also tried telling me nothing in life is guaranteed. Their work is only 99 percent so I guess I was that 1percent who got lucked of 700 and my car running exactly the same as when it came it. Do not bring your car for service. Nothing is guaranteed like they say them selfs!! Update**** After going through Nissan affairs they were able to help us out with not only understanding the situation but also repair cost . Which was awesome. Michael was very attentive with the situation and helpful. Even though it was a rocky start I'm happy with the results we have now. I found 99% of the people that I interacted with at this dealer to be dishonest, arrogant and incompetent from the people in sales, finance, all the way up to the management - especially Ron. They sold me an overpriced car and then when I returned the car, because of the incompetency of the salesman and finance manager, not a single person on the management team helped me fix the problem. To add insult to injury, they did not even return my repeated phone calls and had the audacity to try to resell me a used car at the price of a new car and at a ridiculously high interest rate! The above reviews were in all likelihood written by employees of Riverside Nissan, they are that dishonest! Lucky for me, I bought the car that I wanted for $1,000 less and at a better interest rate from Empire Nissan. Called the day of to make an appointment for a brake inspection because they won't stop squeaking. Came in 30 minutes late but still got assisted right away! Turned out my rotors are shiny glazed and under high heat, it causes them to make squeaking noises. Yesterday on 5/20/19 I took I'm my red 2017 Nissan titan for a basic service, oil change and tire rotation. The service advisor informed me that they couldnt find the wheel lock to remove my tired for the rotation. I rellied by saying idk where its it, you guys did my last tire rotation. Upon completion of my service, as I'm waiting to pay the fees, I ask if they were able to locate the wheel lock and rotate my tires, a few calls were made, about 15 mins passed, they concluded, service advisor and mechanic that yes they were rotated, he also said he left an extra wheel lock inside my cup holder. Furthermore, I left and as I was driving didnt but see my "new" wheel lock, just the tires and they did not appear to be rotated. Went back, and instantly I knew they were aware that I knew they lied. Spoke to manager, I asked for a cash refund, it was only 20 dollars, actually 19.74 they returned exact change. What I'm upset about is the lies, and how easily they do it, I now made an app at cerritos Nissan to check the oil change and ensure my truck has the maintenance that is required. I bring my car to dealer had mechanical problems and the consult told me that I had to left the car 3 to 5 days because they were very busy. I told him not many days because my car gives service and I needed it as soon as possible. that was July 31. The consultant called me and told me that had transmission problems, car needs repair. The consultant told me that it could be repaired 3 to 4 days which I thanked him. On Monday, August 6, call if my car was ready. the consultant would call me when the mechanic arrived at 9.30 in the morning, he did not call me. and I went to the dealer that same date and another colsuntante answered me and said that until the weekend It's could be ready my car. I told him that I needed to talk to his supervisor because several days had passed and I could not wait any longer. the consultant spoke with his supervisor. He saw me and I saw him at his desk talking to the consultant, he returned the consultant and told me that for Tuesday or Wednesday the car is ready. and call yesterday and the consultant told me that until Friday or Saturday. I am disappointed by the treatment their gave me, there is not one. I have been trying to resolve a problem with their service department regarding my brand new car where the air conditioner won't come on until I set the thermostat at 60 degrees/other heating A/C malfunctions. I kept records that they asked for by monitoring the temperature coming out of the vents during varied conditions for two months as they disregarded my initial complaint. They were unreasonable in that they wanted to reproduce the problem themselves, but they did not read all of my data with the circumstances in order to do so . I consulted a reputable diesel mechanic who? Verified what I was trying to prove. 2 Nissan I believe they are incompetent and will be going to another Nissan Service provider . I also intend to communicate with everyone higher up than the service manager. . At one point while waiting for service to be done they provided a Lyft to take me to the 99 cent store in Riverside. I am older, have a failed back surgery and the night was cold. I called them repeatedly to have someone pick me up. The man from the service department wanted me to stay on hold and talk to the service manager while I was at the 99 cent store. My battery was near depletion and I sent them multiple text messages asking them to have someone pick me up. At one point when I called Lyft to find out where they were, Riverside Nissan had sent them to themselves! I kept calling them and asking to have someone pick me up because I was freezing and it was about 3 hours since I'd been dropped off at one store. I called them for an hour. They never returned any of my calls and it finally took my daughter calling them at a different number in order to get them to send another Lyft. I am rarely as angry and upset as I was just over that incident let alone their incompetence of their service department. There's more of a backstory to that including the fact that I talked to one of their lead service men and they never gave that him the investigation that I conducted in order to follow the same scenarios . Went into service for a ABS fault on the dash. The service manager noticed mud under my truck in the driveway and told me that taking my truck off road voided my warranty. I have 1400 miles on a 2015 4x4 Frontier with the off-road package. I told him that I wouldn't leave my truck there and left.
