The restaurant is pretty and setup nice. The buffet was okay, but what surprised us was that 18% gratuity was automatically tagged on a buffet. This place has great service, amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend the mango lassi and masala soda, both are divine. The butter chicken, tika masla and lamb Punjabi we so good we wanted to lick the bowls. This place should be in your regular restaurant rotation! read more

The Food here is ok but the customer service is horrible. There are only three varieties available for Vegetarian people and out of that one dish was completely empty and when i requested for a refill it no one cared much and it took more than 30+ min for them to refill the dish. Its a buffet and you expect them to be prepared. The tea cups were not washed properly and the restaurant purposefully didn't provide correct cups for gravy curry and when I requested they asked me to use a appetizer chutney plate which cannot hold gravy curry. I tried to serve myself some tea and none of the cups they have were clean and when asked I was told that some of the people are using the tea cups to serve other things so cups are not washed properly. They are charging 20$ per plate but for Vegetarians is it really worthy not at all. Given the limited choice and the attitude of the staff and not caring enough to refill the items and not keeping clean cutlery I would never recommend Vegetarians or anyone to go to Kabila. read more

When you go online and type in the name, a website kabilarestaurant.com appears. This is NOT the San Ramon location. This is a Union City location, and the prices are very different. Finally authentic, flavorful Indian food in the Dublin/San Ramon area. Went here for lunch today and had a great experience. Service was impeccable. Restaurant was very clean with all new interior and furnishings. The food was amazing and held to the staple of quality that Kabila has provided in their original Union City location. Love this place. This review is prior to covid. This is the cleanest Indian buffet in this area you are going to get. Their staff is very attentive and the food is fresh. During lunch time it got super crowded because of all nearby business crowd but they are able to keep up and consistently refill. They will not have the same items everyday. Some curried yes but I think their dessert changes. So happy they opened but extremely sad that Covid hit. I can't wait to go back once we are back to normal. read more

Good food, no complaints from a taste or quality standpoint. However, portion sizes are small and so you end up paying almost twice as much as similar comparable food from other restaurants in the neighborhood. I will likely stick to my other usual spots in San Ramon / Dublin / Pleasanton until these guys come back down to earth. read more

We use to visit Kabila restaurant in union city. Similar to Union City, recently opened Kabila in San Ramon is an excellent choice for North Indian food lovers. We went today with a group of friends and no one was disappointed. It looks small from inside but it has a good capacity to serve more then 60 with nice ambience. For appetizer, We tried tikki, fish fried and tanduri chicken. All were fantastic and with good portion size. In main entry, Kadi pakora goat curry and bhindi were equally. Do try sweats, you will love it. Top of that service is excellent. Will go again!! read more

Finally! Good Indian food in San Ramon. Went there with few friends. Ordered fish, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, butter chicken and few other dishes along with garlic naan. Hands down the best Indian food. I highly recommend for everyone to try. The service was great. We had Gulab jamun for dessert (I love sweets). The best gulab jamun I've ever had. Decent Indian food for this area. Ordered the chicken tikka masala (good ingredients but bland), shiah paneer (watery and runny), garlic nan was good and somosas were good. Nothing was spectacular but the food was decent. Service was awful. We had to ask someone to take order, waitress was clueless and seemed to have hard time understanding English even though she spoke it. Constantly asked for water refills, and there were plenty of staff and no one was servicing customers. We asked a passing waiter for more chai tea (watery with not a lot of flavor) and he became agitated and went to get the waitress instead. This restaurant has an opportunity to fill a big void but the biggest challenge will be learning customer service. They fall short here. In the meanwhile we could hear the entire staff laughing and enjoying themselves in the kitchen. Servers are miserable and food is average overall. read more

I saw this restaurant while visiting the shopping center and was interested because it had indian sweets. Since we already ate, I decided to stop in and try their sweets. Not a very large selection but ok. They say first impressions say everything. Well they didn't hit the target that's for sure. We were waiting there and people passed by several times without saying anything, let alone coming to assist. Not even a "someone will be with you". It seems they also have a bit of a snobby attitude. Finally someone assisted and i got a few sweets. Bottom line was not very happy with the experience. I got four pieces of sweets which came out to $4. Six dollars at other places you can about 10-12 pieces at stores. I thought this was way over priced. Also, he didn't even put one of the pieces in the box that i asked for. I don't know if he over charged me or that's their pricing. After reading some of the reviews and my experience I am not interested in trying over priced food that one reveiwer said you can get elsewhere that is cheaper and tastier. read more
