I have lived down the street from here for more than 18 years and had no idea what we were missing. Service is very nice, always with a smile. Food was very good. The pumpkin curry is amazing, and my husband likes a noodle dish. We have had satay and pad Thai there also which has been very good. We made an order for our large group and the food was disappointing. The garlic noodles was basically pad thai noodles with some garlic sauce. The coconut rice was yellow with some little raisins in it. Nobody touched this. The best dish out of the 6-8 that we ordered was the BBQ pork and the green curry dish with beef. Depends depends depends on whom you're with and what you order. Can't say it's all terrific but if you're with people that have developed palates-unlike my-chicken nugget can eat a whole Challah in one sitting child-then you will enjoy this Thai food. Inventive? No. Consistent and balanced flavors? Yes. I've eaten here numerous times and haven't yet posted until now. The fresh spring rolls are crunchy veggie fresh and yummy though more mint and cilantro or Thai basil within would brighten the flavors. The accompanying sweet sauce is lovely, with the radish flower and orange slice decorating the plate; the presentation on most dishes is serene. We've had the samosas which are a bit gummy but the satay and salads are very good and ample. The chicken wings have the required fried crunch and I enjoyed the calamari which was not over cooked or chewy. The coconut soup was perfectly balanced with shrimp and mushrooms and al dente vegetables. I'd have liked a bowl! The pad Thai is too sweet for me but a squeeze of lime helps cut that. The shrimp are plump and succulent thought the chicken pieces are clearly cooked in one big patch and used in a variety of dishes. From the curry to the noodle dishes all the chicken appears in strips and a tad dry but the accompanying sauces are quite delicious. The spicy red curry is also well-balanced. Key to Thai cooking is that sweet salty umami balance and this restaurant does that very well. It's a popular place and the staff are so pleasant and efficient. Families come, people on dates-moi-come and you'll not wait very long for either a table or your food. Come. Eat. Enjoy this lovely little place. You won't leave saying best Thai food ever but you will leave satiated saying "yes that was pretty good" and, a nice addition, you'll feel the staff really appreciated your patronage. read more

R'noh is as good as Thai food gets! Whatever way you choose to eat here - in or take out - the food is spot on and delicious. We have been to many other Thai restaurants in the area but nothing comes close. On top of the great food, the service is consistently spot on. Very bland Thai food without the flavor and spice combo that makes this cuisine so wonderful. The chicken in our entree was dry and the pad Mee mow completely lacking and spice or flavor. Add to this service that was almost non-existent, we actually had to track our waitress down three times to place run order, get our drinks and get our check. This is one of my two favorite Thai restaurants in Marin county and right in my neighborhood! The food here is delicious and very consistent. They have all of the classic Thai dishes you would expect and their specials are always great. My favorites are the chicken Larb salad, all of the curries I've tried have been fantastic, great pad see yew, and their special coconut rice is absolutely fantastic. I tend to have favorite dishes at whatever restaurant I go to, but this is one restaurant where I feel comfortable branching out and trying new things because I know anything I order will be amazing. read more

I attend school very close to R'noh Thai and have eatting here continuously for a while. If you get lunch or dinner here I can assure you that it will go above and beyond your expectations. The service is spectacular and the menu is filled with tons of choices, so that you can find something you'll like no matter what your feeling. The staff is always friendly and the location provides for scenic views off the back patio and a great place to meet up with your friends. My favorite dish is the Pad Se-ew with chicken and extra noodles and I strongly recommend it. R'noh Thai is hidden away in the back of the building with a small patio overlooking a creek. They have great food, large portions, and a comfortable casual atmosphere. I especially enjoy the yellow curry and the brown rice. Their brown rice is a full flavored red rice that I don't find at many restaurants. The food was good, the service very good, and the portions were huge. But overall I was not impressed. For ambience, this place probably gets 4 stars, especially if you go there when the weather is nice enough to sit on the patio. For food I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. It was all good, but I just wasn't swept away by it. The Tom Ka soup was very heavy (either too much coconut milk or maybe they put cream in it) and really didn't have all the flavors I was expecting. We also had Eggplant, which was very good, but missing something. Mostly the other things as it was just sparsely decorated with bell peppers and black bean sauce. The sauce was actually delicious, you could really taste the blending of the garlic and basil in the wok, but there just wasn't enough of it that you could infuse the rice with it. The same goes for the Himmapan. Really tasty but a little sparse on the sauce. This one is also billed as medium spicy, but it barely registered on my palate. We weren't asked for spiciness, so I presume it defaulted to the billing on the menu. Kudos for having very good brown rice and organic chicken. I'll go there again to try out some other dishes (really want to see what the curry is like), but so far I'm not overly impressed. read more
