Robu has been my go to place for banana cream pudding. I've tried many places and they are too sweet. We ordered two and were quite disappointed. This is not really an issue but the banana slices were already brown or we left it out a little too long (~15 minutes after delivery). We opened one, which tasted different (crumbs a bit soggy, banana a little slimy) from the previous. Then we looked at the other one and found the best by date. This is different from expiration date but would prefer a fresh or later best by date.
I love cafes with unique drinks, and Robu Coffee is definitely one of them! I'm a huge fan of floral flavors, so I got the cherry blossom latte. The cherry blossom tasted like a more refined version of Gogurt. It was great and complemented well with the latte! There are some tables inside, but the space is small. We found a table outside under the shade. Really nice spot to just sip coffee and enjoy the California sun!
Nice little coffee spot under an apartment complex, with extra seating outside - great for parties of 4 or less. They have a variety if drinks and Japanese-style "Sandos," and of course I went with the egg. The bread was a little too firm for my liking but it made sense for it to hold the heaping amount of delicious egg in the center. I loved the whole semi-firm egg yolk in the center too! I absolutely fell in love with the Nitro matcha drink; it had a strong tea flavor and it wasn't too sweet at all. I wish they sold it by the liter! The staff were friendly and promptly served us. The ambiance is pretty quiet despite some loud non-English bickering in the supply closet, which startled everyone. I'll still come back for another nitro matcha drink so they can keep the conflicts going, lol.
Ordered less ice, but was about 95% ice. Drink was good, but there may have only been an ounce of actual drink.
Robu Coffee is cute, and I love how many different crafted drinks they have, on top of different Japanese sando (sandwich) to pair with them. I found the drink and the sando I ordered to be okay. It was not horrible, but it didn't wow me as well. DRINKS: 7/10 FOOD: 7/10 SERVICE: 10/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 What I ordered: Ube Coconut Cream Vietnamese Coffee Japanese Egg Sando DRINKS: 7/10 The Vietnamese coffee base was good with the coffee cream. The ube cream did not have a great ube taste and tasted powdery. The ube taste was very underwhelming, and I would just get the coconut cream and Vietnamese coffee next time. Lastly, it was a bit too sweet, and I will lower my sweetness next time, despite choosing a low sweetness level already. FOOD: 7/10 The egg sando was decent! The bread wasn't fluffy and soft, but not hard either. I've just had better sandos elsewhere but wouldn't mind getting it again. SERVICE: 10/10 The staff was nice and friendly, and the service was decently quick. I liked that their was a kiosk to order which helped me take my time to order and customize my preferences. AMBIANCE: 8/10 There was ample seating around, whether you prefer a table or a window seat. It was very clean inside as well.
Robu coffee provides a great option for folks who are craving matcha and Japanese sandwiches. I came here on a Saturday with my partner around 12, and it wasn't too busy. There are a couple of tables in the inside and a lot outside for you to sit! The cashier at the counter was very friendly and attentive. We waited around 10 minutes for our drinks, where we were able to take our sandwiches from the refrigerated portion of the case. It seems like there are sandwiches you can order where they will make it for you in the back, which I would like to try next time. Between me and my partner, here is what we got: * Sakura iced coffee: this exceeded my expectations! I thought the Sakura flavor came through without being too sweet and surprisingly the coffee did not overpower it and complemented it very well. * Banana matcha: this might be one of the first banana matchas I have had that did not taste artificial. I really like how they give you a small spoon shovel so you can eat some of the pudding top. So cute! * Egg sando: very yummy and they used the perfect amount of mayo. It was a light, delightful bite. * Strawberry sando: now this is the overall winner that stole my heart! This might be the best strawberry sando I had and I was surprised! Their strawberries were not only fresh and crisp, but the deep sweet vanilla bean flavor you got from the whipped cream was phenomenal! I usually do not care for strawberry sandos but this one got my attention! Overall, awesome place in Mountain View!
Stopped by Robu Coffee and tried the Vienna matcha latte. It was a bit too sweet for my taste (I personally don't love overly sweet drinks), but my friends actually liked it, so I think it just depends on your preference. The cafe itself is pretty small but cute, with some outdoor seating which is nice on a good day. I'd come back to try their fruit sando next time!
Came here for the sandwiches and i will continue coming back for the sandwiches. I've been missing some Japanese style sandwiches so this place I found on Yelp will be my fix for now. The sandwiches were yummy and the drinks were pretty strong which I love. It's a good place to grab some snacks and work remotely or even just to catch up with a friend. The cashier was extremely helpful when the tablet you can order from isn't working. The service is a bit slower but was probably due to them training someone that day. There's a small lobby area or you can sit outside!
Pretty good, couldn't tase the coffee that much, nothing super special. Order on tablet, drinks came out super fast. It did the job.
Robu Coffee is a cozy cafe that specializes in Asian-inspired drinks and sandos. I tried their Nitro Matcha and I really liked how it has a bold matcha taste, but I think I prefer a regular matcha latte because it's creamier. I also got some of their sandos and I really enjoyed how delicious and filling there were. The Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad sandos were savory and yummy while the Strawberry sando was creamy and has the perfect amount of sweetness. Be sure to get their sandos early since they run out quickly every day!!
Robu Coffee is amazing. We live in Los Gatos and drive 25 min past maybe 100 other fancy coffee shops to get to Robu. Not all the time, but when we deserve it. The kids who work there are nice, and the place is cute and all, and the parking in the garage is annoying but fine... but the magic is what's on the menu. Both my wife and my daughter found their favorite Matcha drinks here - my wife loves the Nitro Matcha, which as she explained it to me uses a nitrogen extrusion to create a frothy velvety texture without milk. Not sure about the details but she craves it. My daughter loves the Vienna Matcha Einspanner. I love their Japanese Egg Sando, and last time I grabbed a "Banana Cream Can", which is a banana pudding in a plastic can with an aluminum pop top. So good!
The experience was dissapointing overall. I tried the Vietnamese coffee and found it to be way too sweet, which masked any actual coffee flavor. The espresso isn't great either... I had to dilute it with oat milk. The service is a bit awkward. It has a self service kiosk but I had to ask someone to order.
Another day, another banana matcha latte. This wasn't my favorite latte, I think it has something to do with the matcha smell/flavor. Maybe too earthy for me? BUT the banana pudding was so good. I love that they use fresh banana and Nilla wafers. Points for presentation too. I got oat milk and less sweet. Less sweet is the way to go. It's a little on the pricey side for a matcha, $7.95, plus $.80 for oat milk. They have lots of options for drinks and to eat. The sandos looked delicious. They also have their banana pudding canned and I'm sad I didn't get one. I ordered on a kiosk and it was made very quickly. Workers were polite. The parking is tricky if you've never been here. It's a small drive way next to the convenience store so don't miss it (like I did). Parking was easy, but the garage is very dark. Lots of indoor and outside seating so bring your furry friends.
This shop is tucked underneath an apartment complex. There's a small retail parking garage available and some street parking. Had I come in the afternoon on a weekend I probably would have struggled to find a spot to park. The interior's quite small, but I am glad they've got some tables outside. There's a wide selection on their menu. I came to try the cherry blossom latte and personally the flavor from the cherry blossom cream top wasn't strong. It was a more subtle flavor and because of the creaminess the drink texture wasn't pleasant. The coffee flavor wasn't as pronounced, it definitely tasted more like a milk shake than coffee. I wanted to love it, but it was just alright. My sister tried their pandan latte and she had a somewhat similar experience. I'd like to try their other specialty lattes to give this shop another shot. They also have some pastries and fruit sandwiches which looked great. The price per sandwich averaged ~$12. The specialty drinks averaged ~$7-$8. read more

Tried this place when it first opened. It was hard to find parking because of its location but we eventually found it. There was no line but the drinks took a while to make. We got a Pandan Latte and a Banana Matcha Latte. The drinks were decent, nothing too extravagant but the presentation was definitely there. This place would be nice to study at but it's quite small with limited space. The customer service was great and the employees were very nice. Probably stop by if in the area since the drinks were decent price. read more
Stopped by for coffee after lunch last Sunday. We came at around 2:30pm. Parking can be limited as I don't think there's a lot. My bf and I found street parking, and my brother parked down the street in the Whole Foods plaza. I love the drink selection here, especially the different foams that they offer. I was stuck between the Cherry Blossom Latte and Coconut Pandan Latte. The person taking our orders recommended the Coconut Pandan Latte, so I ended up choosing that. The Coconut Pandan Latte was really good. The pandan foam mixed well with the coffee and created a creamy texture. I didn't care for the coconut flakes too much. I could've done without them, but that's just a personal preference. I asked for less sweet, and it was perfect. I would definitely want to come here again in the future and try their other drinks. read more

This is all for my strong coffee lovers. I ordered an iced coconut pandan latte. Regular ice. Single shot only, no toppings, and almond milk as my substitution. The presentation of the drink itself is how it looks like on the menu in person / online. (Yes, they do online pick up.) The flavor of the drink is great. After I mixed it, immediately you can taste how strong it is with just a single shot. The coconut shreds they put on top of the foam gives it more of a coconut taste since it will soak in the flavor in your coffee. Definitely, I think a strong drink like this will satisfy your day and get you going. Previously, my girlfriend and I had came to robu just for the Sandos, but there wasn't much options since they were short on the bread. (If I may remember correctly) As I came back, they had the strawberry, mixed fruit, tuna, and egg salad Sando as a good variety of choices. I was tempted to get a strawberry sando, but I was mainly in for the coffee. It is a small coffee shop. Nice outdoor seating where it's quiet at times to enjoy. They play good chill / relaxing music. Workers are nice, greeted me with a warm "hi welcome in". Be prepared for a small tucked away parking garage. Some spots are empty unless you get lucky. read more
I got to try their Coconut Ube Latte and it tasted a lil watered down for me. Also I couldnt really taste the ube so it mostly just tasted like watered down coconut coffee. Maybe it was just an off day but I'd still come back to try their strawberry sando and other drinks. I went on a Saturday and there was plenty of street parking which is always a plus. read more
There was pretty limited parking up front when I had visited, but I saw a couple of reviews mention a parking structure/lot right before it. I tried the Vienna eispanner latte per the worker's recommendation as it is not as "heavy" as their other drinks. For me, this ended up not being my favorite sipping coffee, but once I had mixed in the cream with everything, it had a nice balance. The drink was slightly pricier than your average coffee drink but pretty on par with similar style drinks. Overall, really solid place if you're in the area! read more
We decided to give this place a chance in a Sunday afternoon . They have quite a few Vietnamese coffee options but the one w/o milk was out of stock , so I tried an Americano , which was....just ok (a little watery) Daughter tried the iced salted caramel latte . And despite her asking for low sugar it was way too sweet . Took a couple of sips and could not finish it We might give them another try to see how their special drinks are , but so far it's not looking great. read more
Quick service. Relaxing enviro, tables & chairs inside + outside. Decently priced for the area. Marble coffee is a creamy version of viet coffee & not as strong tasting. Yuzu could use a bit more of the yuzu bits & more minty otherwise refreshing. Wanted to try the egg coffee but they ran out, I'd have to come back another time earlier in the day, I came around 130 and they didn't have anymore. read more

Robu offers a different take on Vietnamese coffee and matcha. We came here on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy with a consistent flow of people coming into the store. Parking is pretty hard because if you miss the entrance to the parking garage it's either making a round about U-turn or finding street parking. We ordered a scallion bread, coconut pandan, and a yuzu matcha fizz. Since it was our first time we had a lot of questions and the cashier was more than happy to answer them and customize the drinks to our preferences. It took around 30-45 minutes for our drinks to come out and they forgot our bread order. The staff was very nice but it does seem like they're still trying to figure out order intakes and how to fulfill them. People behind us were getting their orders infront of us. When it comes to the drinks they were okay. My girlfriend enjoyed the coconut pandan since it had coconut bits and all the flavors went well together. The Matcha yuzu fizz had a lot of flavors in it but they all cancelled out because it didn't really taste like anything. I would say pass on the toppings because they don't give you too much for the price of the topping. The drinks are unique and are great to try once but I'm not sure I would come back to try other items. The scallion bread was okay as well, not sure if it's a fluke but our bread was half warm and half cold. Overall I will probably not be coming back as the experience was not that great and the food items didn't stand out. read more
New coffee shop in MV. Place is located on the main street, w/ parking available either in front (limited) or an underground parking structure just right before it. Go slow otherwise you might miss it. There's a few tables outside and a few inside. Aesthetic and ambiance is nice, pretty modern. I've tasted so many egg coffee, ube coffee, and pandan latte that I didn't really wanna try those here. Instead, I went for the cherry blossom latte and that was really good. The flavor was subtle so it's not too heavy when you take a sip. I really liked it and would get it again (minus the coco cream but that's my fault since I asked for it). There were a couple of other things on the menu that I would like to try so most definitely will be back to try something new! read more

I'm a little behind on posting this review, this post is for my visit from early Jan 2025. I'm happy to support an Asian women owned business! I came across Robu Coffee through Yelp because my boyfriend and I were looking for a matcha cafe. Even though Robu Coffee obviously specializes in coffee, we were happy to see their menu had matcha drinks available! I was intrigued with the Vienna Einspanner Matcha Latte and my boyfriend ordered the Yuzu Matcha Fizz. The Vienna Einspanner Matcha Latte was unlike any other matcha latte I've tried, the house-made Vienna Einspanner cream made the matcha taste creamy without being too sweet and the dust of matcha powder on top was a nice touch! The matcha powder was of premium quality, a true ceremonial grade matcha which gives the vibrancy and earthiness of the matcha drink! I didn't hint any bitterness or matcha granules at all. The Yuzu Matcha Fizz was sweet and refreshing! It's similar to a Matcha lemonade but with a twist of Asian flavors from the Yuzu. You can find bits of Yuzu from the yuzu fruit puree, it added a nice texture to every sip. This drink was finished quickly! The service was friendly and our drinks were ready in 5-10 minutes! The cafe itself is small, with only a few tables. However, the side tables did have a few power strips to help charge your phone or laptop which is a plus! Robu also serves baked goods and sandos which we didn't get to try at this visit. We'll be back if we happen to be in the area again! :) read more
This place used to be located in downtown Sunnyvale but now moved to Mountain View, where parking is somewhat easier. I've been parking on the street, but I think they're adding the bus lane or something, but there is retail parking that I have yet to checkout. Drinks here are incredible. They are sweet, creamy, and addicting. Whether it's their phin or their house flavored cream, the amount of sweetness mixed with the coffee is excellent. My go to the past couple times have been the Vienna Einspanner Latte but the Cherry Blossom Latte or the Ube Latte are also good. Just recently, I've noticed they added some Asian-style sandwiches in the refrigerated section that appealed to my Mom so we might try them next time. Inside is pretty small, with about 10-15 seats and nowhere to move. Staff is super friendly. Overall, this place is being included into the daily rotation of coffee places because they've got a great, unique selection that's worth coming back to. Go check them out! read more

Einspanners arrived and are here to stay. A friend got me Robu's Vienna Matcha Einspanner from the Sunnyvale pop up for my birthday back in August, but a coworker accidentally spilled it all. I got to try a few sips though! This required redemption; another friend and I drove over the day before Thanksgiving to find them closed, oh dear. Lesson learned, check their Instagram! Also, it says they're permanently closed on Apple Maps but that's a lie! Finally went back the next week after preordering online. I met owner Tammy who is the sweetest! She was so apologetic about training a new chef on the sandos and not having them be up to standard. She not only gave a refund but also gave us the famous Korean garlic buns on the house! Order these! They're so warm, fluffy, and stuffed with smooth, sweetened cream cheese filling, all surrounded by buttery garlic and Parmesan cheese. It looks like a hefty bagel inside. Drinks: *Vienna Matcha Einspanner *Black Sesame Latte *Cherry Blossom Latte Oat & almond milk available for an extra charge. The Vienna cream was amazing! Thick & luscious sweet cream layered on fresh matcha & milk. I got 25% sweet & less ice. They have a few toppings: crystal boba, coffee jelly, lychee jelly. The coffee shop is quaint, a bit more compact but the high ceiling and bright white interior with marble design tables both inside and out make up for it. Street parking or a few garage spots available behind the business. Can't wait to come back for the einspanner & try their egg salad & strawberry cream sandos! read more
Robu coffee was at the Sunnyvale lantern festival. I saw the photos on social media and it looked amazing, so made a stop here. Ordered the egg salad sandwich , Vienna coffee einspanner latte, and my family got the black sesame latte and coconut Pandan latte. The egg salad sandwich came in a decent portion and was flavorful. I split half with my husband and we each got our own coffees and were full. I read on the reviews that the Vienna einspanner latte was lighter than the other ones so I got that one for me and was pretty satisfied with it. It wasn't too sweet but had a decent amount of caffeine. My family really enjoyed their lattes too. Overall a solid spot and would eat again read more
Tried a Vietnamese coconut Ube coffee. Very sweet, but delicious. They had a pop up at the Sunnyvale art festival and I'm glad they did because if not, I wouldn't have known they existed! Looking forward to visiting this Mountain View location. read more

Very chill place to study and a have a quick bite. I got the ube coconut coffee and it was not too sweet. It definitely had me up the rest of the day. The sando were really tasty but I noticed the bread was a little denser than other sandos I've had. Usually the milk bread is really soft and plush. Out of the three, tuna was definitely my favorite! read more
Robu finally has their own space in Mountain View and I am loving this new location! I knew them from their pop-up days but I'm glad they've established their presence to open up this shop. The owner, Tammy, is the sweetest and most personable individual ever. I always enjoy chatting with her! I actually went to their soft opening and I was one of the first few to get their free egg sando and drink. There is an ongoing trend of Asian-inspired drinks and Robu definitely hopped onto it! One of my favorite drinks on the menu is the cherry blossom latte, which has a cherry blossom cream layer on top that is aesthetic for photos. Another Asian-inspired drink I've yet to try is their pho coffee. They do have alternative milk options like almond or oat milk, but some of their drinks, like their ube latte, already have pre-mixed foam with dairy. There is seating inside and outside for the perfect coffee date or catch-up! There's also parking in the parking structure right before the shop or street parking, too. Overall, check this place out because there aren't that many trendy coffee places in Mountain View. This may very well end up being your new favorite coffee spot! read more
Strong cherry blossom latte -- has a strong coffee flavor in it and the creamer tastes more like strawberries than cherry blossoms but delicious otherwise. It is very fluffy but really sweet so be sure to dial down the sweetness if possible. read more

Robu Coffee is a craft coffee shop that offers a variety of great options such as Vietnamese coffees, special craft lattes, and non-caffeinated drinks to choose from. They opened back in May 2024 but recently moved to a new spot in Mountain View. I tried them back when they were in Sunnyvale and again once they moved to Mountain View. Personally, I think their drinks have improved since they first opened and I would definitely recommend people to give them another try! ORDER: |-| Egg Coffee ($7.25) - Vietnamese phin-dripped milk coffee topped with egg foam & cocoa powder. A classic strong Vietnamese coffee option with a foamy eggy topping that's creamy and delicious. |-| Vienna Einspanner Latte ($6.95) - Signature double shot espresso, fresh milk topped with house-made Vienna cream, and cocoa powder. Super creamy but doesn't wash out the coffee flavor. Although this is supposed to be a normal latte, it still had the flavor of a Vietnamese coffee which I enjoyed. read more
New Coffee Shop in the Bay Area! @robu.coffee is an Asian-inspired fusion coffee shop located in Mountain View, CA. They have a variety of drinks from matcha, Vietnamese coffee, and einspanner but it doesn't stop there! They also have delicious Japanese sandos and pastries. When we arrived some of the things like Korean garlic bagel and Pho Coffee (how cool does that sound!?) was sold out so you know it must be good and we will be back soon to try out those items! Service is also sooo friendly! They will help you with any questions you may have. read more
The drinks here at Robu are eye catching but also very well-made! We stopped by to grab a couple drinks. There is free street parking up front, or a small free underground parking garage right before the building, so it's very easy to pop in and out to get a drink. The inside is pretty small but still enough seating if you want to hang out. There are also some outdoor tables too. Service was great! They were very friendly. My husband's egg coffee was good, wish the egg cream was a little bit thicker, but the flavor was there. I loved my matcha strawberry latte! I saw them properly prepare the matcha also. I added on the Einspanner cream on top too which made it even smoother! I would just recommend grabbing a straw for this drink to mix in the thicker strawberry puree (love that it's real strawberry!). I usually don't get the straw if it has a sip lid but then realized later I could have mixed it better with a straw. read more

I've been here multiple times, and it never disappoints! One thing I love is how Tammy, the owner, always recognizes me when I stop by. She takes the time to ask how I've been or where I've been, which really shows how much she values her customers. This time, I ordered a few drinks: my go-to Coconut Ube Latte, a Strawberry Matcha, and one of their new seasonal drinks, the Coconut Pandan Latte. I'm usually not a fan of Vietnamese coffee since it's a bit too strong for me, but they were happy to adjust it to a regular latte with two shots of espresso. Both the Ube and Pandan flavors blend perfectly with the coffee, balancing out the espresso just right--I'd definitely order them again. The Strawberry Matcha? Always a solid 10/10! I love the little strawberry bits, and the flavors are perfectly balanced--neither the strawberry nor the matcha overpowers the other. What I really appreciate is how accommodating Tammy and the baristas are when it comes to customizing drinks. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back and will continue to support this women-owned small business! read more

So excited to finally try Robu's brick and mortar since I never got to stop by their pop up in Sunnyvale. There's street parking that's free, but the interior is pretty small so I'm not sure if it's somewhere where I'd stay and hang for a while. There are only a few tables inside. Drinks-wise I was under the impression that it was a coffee place that just had Asian flavors, but was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of viet coffees on the menu! I ordered the iced vietnamese coffee (normal one without toppings) with their default sweetness which is 50%. It was great! I loved that the actual coffee flavor shined through and it wasn't too sweet from the condensed milk. Would 100% order again, but I think next time I come back I want to try even more things from their enticing menu! Staff was super friendly in helping us choose our drinks and decide sweetness levels so shoutout to them. read more

I first tried Robu when they had a pop-up in Sunnyvale and knew I had to come back now that they have a permanent location! I'm a huge fan of their Vienna Einspanner Latte--it's rich, creamy, and has just the right hint of sweetness to balance the coffee. I hadn't planned on getting a pastry, but after eyeing the Mango Coconut Danish, I couldn't resist. I'm so glad I gave in because it was absolutely delicious! Parking can be a bit tricky since it's on a busy street (El Camino Real), but it's 100% worth checking out. I'll definitely be back! read more

The banana pudding matcha is AMAZING! I used to drive 20 plus minutes for a good matcha spot. Now I can safely say this is the best matcha place I've had by far, and another plus is it's only 5 minutes from my house, no more 20 minute drives! read more
