Mexican Cobb Salad (Dry and Tough Chicken)
    David K.

Note: We went on March 30 and ordered takeout. The wait ended up being about 1.5 hours for a $67 meal (two quesadillas and a salad). I *wish* that I had looked at other reviews prior to ordering. Food: 2/5 Mexican Cobb Salad - $22 (1/5) After the long wait, this was the biggest disappointment. The chicken was tough, hard, and no longer warm. There was one small scoop of guacamole that was already starting to brown. The beans and rice were just okay. Cobb salad is one of my favorites, and this was honestly the worst one I've had. Cheese Quesadilla - $17 (3/5) It was okay, but very overpriced for what it is. Burrito Bowl - $20 (3/5) Also okay. Nothing particularly stood out. Service: 0/5 This was the biggest issue. A heads up about the delay would have gone a long way. At 30 minutes, no update. At 1 hour, my wife asked about the order and found out they had only just started it, even though we were second in line. The waitress took the receipt, crumpled it, threw it away and said they were starting it. Another 30 minutes later, the food finally came out. Ambiance: Not rated since this was takeout only. Maybe this was just an off day. But looking at other recent reviews, it seems like this might be an ongoing issue.

Acceptable in an airport, but you'd never eat here on the other side of security. And don't try it if you're in any kind of a hurry at all. Nicely decorated and reasonably clean spot in Terminal 1 at FLL. Badly managed on our visit, however. Line to enter at 1p. Workers walking by not making eye contact with people on the line - with one exception, and that guy (who eventually took care of us) was hustling. People on line were impatient, as empty tables were available. Un-bussed tables were also evident - it appeared the servers were responsible for bussing as well. Amusingly (see my photos), the menus at the tables were a couple dollars more expensive per item than the electronic menu near the front podium - where's the Florida AG when you need him? When we were seated by our one whirling dervish of a server (all the others seemed to be perfecting the art of slow walking without making eye contact), we got drinks after a while. Got our food order in (again, our guy was hustling, but he was the only one) and it came in a while. It tasted okay (skirt steak burrito bowl and carnitas tacos - main spice in evidence was salt, no piquancy whatsoever and requested hot sauce never arrived) and didn't make us sick. Portions were fine, prices were as-expected in an airport. Beer selection was almost hilariously thin due to things being out of stock (I did manage to luck into a pretty darned good IPA, though) and - get this - this airport "Mexican" place had run out of ingredients for margaritas! Lord, but I dislike eating at airport restaurants. As always, my review takes into account the terrible nature of airport eateries: in the real world outside of the secured area of an airport, Rocco's Tacos would be a one-star disaster that you'd warn your friends against. In the world of the secured area of FLL? It's "okay" - a three-star that might be your best option. Ugh. But no gastrointestinal distress afterward, that's a plus.

Just okay. Nothing special near terminal C at FLL Airport.Maybe because I wasn't too hungry and really was just wasting time my flight. Menu was limited compared to a normal Rocco's location. The service was actually really good and attentive.

Over-priced and over-rated taco platters ($80 for lunch, gtfoh with that nonsense)
    Joe K.

Flying out of FLD after a cruise and stopped into Rocco's... This placed looked good and was slammed busy, so we figured it was good. While our service was alright, the taco platters were average at best (really liked their house made hot sauce though). Two taco platters & two drinks (not alcohol) = $80. What in the actual...? Give me a damn break... This is straight customer robbery and it's not remotely debatable.

Nice Mexican spot. Service is great. We sat at the bar and the happy hour is great for drinks. HH bites are tasty and they have a house spicy sauce that has a good kick. HH everyday 4pm-7pm.

Pork tacos look good but maybe dry

Give em a break for this is airport dining! I will say it is good, and I'm not in California so the preferences I have are preferences and not real against quality and taste etc. I got two pork tacos ala carte and they are great!! Flour tortillas though but honestly the quality of the meat flavor and the toppings with cojita cheese generous and full. I'm always surprised when I order mexican'ish food somewhere outside my realm and it's decent. So good on you Rocco for having a decent taco. Would it survive against my Cali stuff, not a chance. Is it good for the run for me without the overhead of grease and bread of other options? Hell yes. Been was great service great not overcrowded and convenient. So don't fret if you're stuck in this terminal, they also have plugs to charge at the bar.come in and have a beer and a taco!

    Chicken quesadillas
    Harpreet S.

I stopped in for a casual dine-in meal and were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was. The chicken quesadillas were incredible--perfectly grilled, cheesy, and packed with tender, seasoned chicken. The service was attentive although the turnaround time for dine-in was about 30 minutes. You could tell the food was made fresh to order, not rushed--and it absolutely showed in the quality. Highly recommend if you're traveling from terminal one near the C gates

    GREAT drink menu!!!!

I travel a good bit, so restaurants and bars inside airports are important to me! Rocco's Tacos at FLL Terminal 1 is excellent. Good spacious but busy bar, plus lots of TVs to watch NFL Sunday. My wife had a generous glass of wine, and I had a tasty Margarita! We ordered a plate of loaded nachos and munched away. I wish I would have gotten the bartenders name, as he was the BEST!!!

    Naked enchiladas
    Valery S.

One to-go plate took 27 min. Also, the kiosk didn't work right. It made me choose between removing either cheese, beans, or rice from my plate before it would allow me to place the order. Also, the food is not good. I've never ever seen enchiladas served without sauce. This is a very bad spot at the airport.

2/5 stars - Disastrous dining experience at Rocco's. Michelle, my waitress, set the tone with her unwelcoming attitude and distasteful demeanor. Things took a turn for the worse when I witnessed her sweeping the floor with no gloves, then proceeding to serve my food without any visible handwashing. The mahi mahi fish tacos and Cadillac margarita were overpriced at $50. The tacos were skimpy, and while the flavors were decent, it wasn't worth the hefty price tag. As a foodie willing to pay for quality, I expect better. Rocco's needs a serious revamp in service and pricing strategy. $50 bucks is a decent meal. This was anything but that!

Got the chicken quesadilla and it was nice and tasty and warm. Very expensive though, 4 slices for $20. Can't complain it's airport prices.

The menu hasn't changed much, but the food has always been consistent and generally good. Recently, my husband and I decided to try brunch again after several years. Our research showed that the bottomless mimosas could be upgraded to Moët for an additional $40 per person, which was one of the reasons we chose to go. Unfortunately, we were told this was no longer offered. Our server even took my phone, with the information clearly displayed, to the manager, who declined to honor it. Yelp reviews suggest we aren't the only guests who have encountered this. Promotions change, that's understandable. What was disappointing was the response. My philosophy in customer service has always been: if a customer presents reasonable evidence of an advertised offer, honor it, then correct the information going forward. We expected better handling of the situation.

We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings.
