We did add avocado and egg to the burger but still, I don't think a burger is worth more than $20. What I like here: - The Impossible Burger is delish! I'm not even a burger person but I find myself craving this burger sometimes. - Their garlic fries are yummy! They're tasty and loaded with lots of minced garlic. - My hubby and I share the Impossible Burger and fries when we are not too hungry and it's a perfect amount for us. Dripping with either grease and/or tomato juice from the very wet tomato slices. The bun is more soggy than dry. The burger itself is full of hardened gristle Absolutely VILE. I came here for the impossible Burger and I wasn't dissapointed! The restaurant is known for their beef burgers and it showed in how well the toppings coalesced. There were grilled onions, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, all on an egg bun. It was delcious. It's still sort of OK now, but I don't ever want to come here again after last night. We ordered a chicken salad, regular burger and regular fries. They said it would be ready in about 15 minutes. There was no line in front of us, the place wasn't packed in the slightest. Once 20 minutes passed, we started getting worried and wondered if we should just ask for a refund. Turns out we should have, but kept waiting instead. Ordered at 9:38, food came out at 10:10. That's more than 30 minutes for totally basic food, which is totally unacceptable. Insert jokes about killing the cow and plucking its feathers, picking the potatoes, etc... So, we finally start eating the food. Fries are not only overcooked but also not very hot. Why not just tell me they were done before the burger?! Burger was completely average and not that great. Salad also average. In-N-Out would've been a better choice. Even McDonalds?? Stopped by this establishment randomly after spending time in downtown Hayward. I had my little bro with me so I needed somewhere tasty and kid friendly. The place is spacious and great for groups. They have a good selection of lunch items and different burgers to choose. I also noticed they have beer on tap if youre into it. When you walk in you order at the counter the chef cooks it and calls your name then you grab your food and pick your seating. Buffalo Bills across the street may be a better option. I prefer their ambiance but for me today I prefer this because it is quicker without so much who-ha from dealing with a server. Precovid they changed the Veggie Delight sandwich. I jeep waiting for them to change it back but have given up. The tofu used to be fried and crispy and it was served with a flavorful mushroom sauce. Now the tofu is floppy and bland. The garlic fries are great though. My husband (a meat eater) and I usually split an order of garlic fries. He really likes the burgers. They have regular fries and fries that are loaded. I always get the shroom n onion burger with a side of Rockit cheese fries. The burger has caramelized onions and mushrooms. The Rockit cheese fries are loaded up with melted cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and Rockit char house sauce. The menu has a ton of options for everyone even the kids. A notch above fast food, but not casual dining (no servers). $8-10 starts the ball rolling and if you want a "meal" with fries and drink, now start thinking $15+. It was pretty hefty, but nothing I couldn't pound in 5 minutes flat, just sayin'. The breakdown: -Beef is good quality. Certified Angus which is choice grade. Elevation. -Patty has a pronounced grill flavor. Can't really say if I can distinguish charcoal vs. gas, but it does taste of fire and grill. -Bun is decent. It holds up structurally and is the right size. I hate when the bun is larger than the meat. It is a bit sweet though. I also added the fries and drink for another $4.50. I felt it was a bit steep and gouging, but they do give you a lot. I wished they gave you less and also charged less. It was like I paying to waste, which is a pet peeve of mine. Outside of that little incident, solid burger outing. Same level as Fuddruckers I'd say, but a tad better. To that, I'd say repeat worthy. read more

I've been here twice. The staff is really friendly and attentive. We ordered a veggie burger and a chicken sandwich with onion rings and fries. My veggie burger was really good but the onion rings were dripping in oil. I did not like the onion rings at all. The Southwestern chicken sandwich had no kick or spice. Even the cheese on the cheese fries were bland. No idea how cheese could go wrong. For drinks, you can get 1 free refill. There was no air conditioning and it was cooler outside, but unfortunately we found out the seating belonged to the restaurant next door so you had to sit inside. There was also no customer restroom. Anything from your regular beef burger, to gourmet steak, to a cluckful of chicken sandwiches, or your healthy hearty salads! :) They also got your golden fries and any beers, shakes, or drinks that tickles your fancy. It does take them some time to prepare your food, but this only reassures me that they cook their foods from scratch with the best ingredients! I got the... My boyfriend and I stopped in here one afternoon for lunch and was surprised at the set up. Thought it was going to be like Buffalo Bills or Bijou (seating arrangement wise) but it's not. You walk in and order right away. The register, soda, and kitchen is all there to the side as you walk in. The young African-American woman who took our order was very friendly and gave us a bit of detail of each burger (or chicken if you don't want beef!). My boyfriend got a burger and I got the exact same thing but instead of beef, chicken. You then get a # after you order and sit down. They call it when it's done, about a 10 min. wait and you walk up to the counter and get it. I only saw one trash can, which was by the counter where you picked up your food. The set is is cute and reminded me of Johnny Rockets. I enjoyed my food but probably won't come here again. The food was too pricey for what we got and I did not enjoy the chicken on my burger much. The restaurant and the area was super busy due to the street fair but I got my food rather quickly and especially for the amount of people that were there. The fries and the chicken were cooked perfectly, the produce could not have been more fresh and the quality was high. The burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly with just the right amount of grilled onions and mushrooms and let's not forget the melted Swiss cheese! My kids had sweet potato criss-cut style fries and a chocolate milkshake. The service was attentive and prompt and I appreciate how the fries weren't overly salted so I could season to taste myself. The decor and atmosphere is just what you would expect from a gourmet burger joint, family friendly, with beer on tap as a nice downtown touch. I expect this place to do well! Meat was bland with no flavor but huge amount of cheese, onions, and mushrooms. No meal options everything you purchase is separate. $33 dollars for 2 sandwiches, 2 beers, and one fry was too expensive imo. I think a meal deal with burger, fries, & beer for $10 would be awesome or $12 with a beer. The garlic fries are good though if you like garlic fries then its a must try. Open for sidewalk dining and takeout. We were in the area and thank goodness B st in Hayward was closed to car traffic for outdoor dining. We only saw about 4-5 places taking advantage of this but still great to have options. We were feeling burgers so decided on this place. We were able to order and pay at the counter. Then sat outside at a table set out on the sidewalk. 10 minutes later or so, they brought our food out in paper cardboard to-go containers. The boys all got the double burger with cheese, they were able to customize what kind of cheese they wanted. I got the shroom n' onion burger. Fries were extra or you could make your burger a meal to add fries and a soda. Burgers were a good size. I was definitely stuffed from my burger. It was cooked alright and mine had plenty of grilled mushrooms and onions, the guys seemed to like their burgers. I had some fries. they were alright. A little soggy but maybe because they were in the to go containers for a bit. The self serve soda machine is down (due to COVID) but they were happy to refill them for us.
