I have only had experience with the Service Department at Rockwall Ford and I gotta say I have been here four times in the past 18 months and found Craig Hammond and his manager "Wayne" very fair and very accommodating, I shopped for a local non dealership auto repair shop prior to using Rockwall Ford simply because I just didn't know anyone who has used them and thought it would be a hassle because I never bought a car here, I will gladly return, the service manager is one of the friendliest people I have met and Craig my service advisor charges me fair and always keeps me updated. read more

Buyer Beware!!... Crooks & Thieves Let me save you the trouble, DO NOT BUY FROM ROCKWALL FORD. Please read- We purchased a Ford 2005 F350 and paid 13, 000 cash (not to mention my own trade -in). On the day we went to pick up the truck Service Center just ran their inspection on it. Nothing was EVER disclosed to us about 2 FAILED INJECTORS or how the F350 years 2003-2007 have had recalls on their engine. Basically they took advantage of a couple who was eager to buy a truck cash. Long story short exactly 2 weeks later the engine blew. Went back to Rockwall Ford and had Service Center print out the report from the day we bought the truck, and right on the report it states, "2 failed injectors- repairs declined". I asked who declined the repairs and Service Center said Sales Dept did. Walked right over to sales to try to get the situation resolved and Karl (Director of Sales) basically said AS IS. He also states as a dealer he DOES NOT have to disclose if a vehicle has mechanical issues or not. He says it is his JOB to sale the vehicle NOT to worry if it has problems or not. I recorded our conversation and if you could hear what a dirt bag he is, you would RUN FAR AWAY FROM ROCKWALL FORD!!...Oh, and the way they wanted to resolve the issue was for us to finance a 2004 GMC 2500HD for $16, 999, which is only worth $6, 400, (per Texas Dept of Motor Vehicles)and they wanted us to put MORE money down on a truck that is nowhere near the truck we bought. Rockwall Ford is a dealership that has NO integrity, morals or values when it comes to their customers. They will rip you off and not even think twice. I cannot even phantom how a name like Ford would even do business with the owners of Rockwall Ford...I am sick to my stomach how we were treated and how we LOST $13, 000 on something we thought would be a good investment for our company. My first car buying experience, I was there for 8 hours. However, part of that was my fault. Hunter was my sales associate and he did a good job of putting me in any vehicle that I wanted to see. That being said, I wanted to try out numerous vehicles and he got a full days work taking me around the lot. Admittedly, there were some hiccups, errors on their web page and little mishaps here and there. When it came down to it though, Rockwall got me in the car I wanted well at a price their competitors couldn't. At times I was frustrated (post-purchase), yet a quick talk with the GM and matters were not only resolved, but Rockwall Ford went above and beyond their contractual obligations to ensure that I was satisfied and felt well taken care of. Had the dreaded "Death Wobble" on my '09 F250. I read up on the internet about how hard it is to troubleshoot this problem, so I was prepared to be in for the "long haul". Took 2 visits, but they got the problem resolved. Wasn't cheap, but I got mostly new suspension on the front end on my truck now and I am a happy camper. Service advisor Lori did a great job! Excellent customer service. Unlike others here, Lori quoted pricing on the recommended repairs and both times it came in under the estimate. It's like everyone says in all the other reviews once your out the door they don't care about you. I've called up their several asking about this wrap up warranty the people in finance sold me. No one has heard of it and can't answer a single question. They simple transfer you to an unsuspecting person most of the time a guy who works on the cars who knows nothing about goes on in the office. I mean why have a receptionist if they can't answer the phone properly? When we first came she couldn't even tell us where they were. She kept arguing Goliad and 205 aren't the same street and that there is no Chevy dealer near them but it's right there on goliad. Luckily I'll never have to go back. read more

Brought my Expedition in for an oil leak and they told me they couldn't find anything after taking it for several drives and letting it sit. I assured them it was leaking and they eventually were able to find the leak as as was there to pick it up and bring it home. They were kind enough to not charge me anything for their investigative work, and I will be bringing it back to them to fix as they seemed very honest and weren't about to make something up just to be able to charge me. Would have been 5 stars if they would have found the leak right away instead of waiting til i got there to check for "one last time". read more

My family has purchased 19 cars from this dealership. During our most recent purchase, we had an issue with a salesman not being as helpful or customer service oriented as he should have been. Rick stepped in and introduced us to (salesman) Quintell and Bryan. The three of them were very nice; they worked with us and explained everything in detail. Well it started off with a small little accident where my bumper clip was broken and a couple other little things. We took in my 2014 Dodge Dart to get these few things fixed. Well we took it in on the 6th of July and did not get it back until the 24th. It was originally supposed to be about a week and a half then we'd have the car back... Turns out this was not the case. We called Tuesday the 14th to check on it and we were told everything was done they were just waiting for my new tires to be shipped in. We called again Friday and said it should be done on Monday. Well when we call Monday they allowed us to come pick our car up because it was ready. When I got there the car was in worse condition then what we gave it to them. The bumper was still sticking half way out. They fixed a little bump on the bumper but nothing else. The other half of the bumper that didn't have a scratch on it was color sanded and not even finished. The paint was really rough and you could see scratches on it. So they say that they will fix it but won't have the car back until Friday the 24th. We ended up getting that day but right before they closed. Everything was fixed correctly but should not have had to go through all of that. Plenty of other body shops out there.. read more

If I could give Rockwall Ford a negative score, I definitely would. I leased a car in 2012, took it in for service and they promptly ran it into another car on the lot. They kept it for two months waiting on matching paint. Not sure how that happens since the car was painted that color somewhere. Anyway I made the mistake of going back for my next leased car. When my husband and I spoke to the salesman we were quoted one price but when it came time to sign the papers, which my husband could not attend, the payment was more than we were told. Now that lease is over and we went to Ford to purchase that car. Two hours later we were presented with a bill that included a license fee of almost 700.00 and about 14 other bogus charges. My husband promptly said a couple of ugly words, threw the paper back at him and walked out. We decided to go to a Ford dealership in Plano and were told that we were royally screwed from the inception of the lease. Rockwall Ford has lost good quality customers as we will NEVER do business with them again. read more

I don't know why anyone would not use the internet to buy a car nowadays. I searched for the specific F150 I was looking for and found 2-3 I liked. I had already driven the F150 so I knew what to expect. After only one counter offer to Sue, we agreed on a more than fair price. I made an appointment and done. The only hiccup was as we signed paper work, I asked about the CPO warranty and they stated this wasn't a CPO car. Well, in about 30 seconds, that got cleared up and the CPO paper work was in my sales folder. Do yourself a favor and do your homework including knowing your credit score. The finance manager Joe offer several warranty packages (as is his job) but wasn't pushy - in fact he knew where to get the best interest rate without multiple hard inquiries that affect credit scores. I'll reserve the last star as I pick up the truck on Friday so the can prep it. Hope they fill the gas tank (36 gal) as it will last me a couple of months. Do your homework, know your credit score and you won't be disappointed. As far as all the service complaints, I live north of Ft Worth so my service will be at the local dealer. read more

OK, this review is for the body shop at the dealership, not the sales or service department. How many visits does it take to have a damaged vehicle repaired? Several to here it seems. Picked up vehicle. Then returned because they did not reconnect the horn. Returned again because rear door would not open from inside handle, only exterior handle. Returned again because facia loose on one side. Returned again because on previous return, the repair tech did not show up on day told to return. Returned again to have facia clip replaced. Facia still pops out from clip today, but I give up. Will have repaired on my own dime or do it myself. Will never use this dealership for anything else in the future. read more

I do not recommend this place at all, I looked up a car that they have, they had it for 12,999 certified...it is a 2014 Ford Fiesta pre-owned certified...they told me my moms credit approved for this car, when I brought my mom in to get the car since she did not have a downpayment, they went and altered the car's info on the Internet. They brought the price up to 13,999, and I was told it wasn't certified like I had seen it on their website....totally disappointed with the staff and how they try to fool people into buying..they changed the car's price from one day to another just because they wanted a downpayment....I don't think it's legal to post a product for a certain price to lured you in and then change the price once you are about to sign off for it.....I call it fraud read more

If you like the words NO, we Can't and we Won't, then Rockwall Ford is the place for you. Visiting the Service department for the first time to have a oil change for my 2014 150. I requested to have my headliner checked due to the fabric coming loose and a area that seemed to collapse under little pressure. This area also contains a side curtain airbag. I was told they had no time to check this and I would have to make another appt. In addition, the next appt. I would have to leave the truck all day. After leaving it all day on this next appt. I was told I would probably need another appt. to actually make the repairs. All this and nobody has laid eyes on the issue? Then there was no guarantee the problem could be resolved but another factor was added that if they could not recoup their time and materials cost from the Ford Motor Corporation they would not perform any repairs. Really ! They seemed more interested in recovering their cost from Ford than addressing a customers concerns? They refused to even have someone take a look at it. When I suggested that if a tech looked at it, it may be a time and money savings for both sides. Suggesting that he may be able to order a part or color fabric for that NEXT appt. Again "NO" we do not have time. This was a conversation between myself and the Service Mgr Wayne Osborn Do not even get my started about the parts department lack of knowledge and help on something as simple as mud flaps,that's another story!!! I immediately drove to Prestige Ford in Garland where they not only showed genuine concern but had a service technician looking at the headliner in less than 5 minutes.They took pictures wrote a a service request to Ford Motor Corp. in less than 30 min. and will let me know results before days end. My husband and I bought a new truck this past weekend. Freddy Aguirre was our salesman, and he was great! Not pushy, but very knowledgeable on the trucks we were interested in. He also cared very much about finding us exactly what we wanted. He listened to our needs and wants instead of trying to up-sell us. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants a good experience. If I could give him a rating, it'd be 5 stars. I, however, would rate the overall experience slightly lower, as the process of buying the truck was a bit of a beating once we got down to talking numbers with the financial guy. We were there from around 10am until 4:15pm. It took up our entire day (we only test drove 2 trucks), and it was an exhausting experience. I likely wouldn't have written a review, but the constant barrage of emails from Rockwall Ford (despite "opting out" several times) is a great reminder. We bought an SUV here, and the sale itself was fine. Davy is a good guy. The rest of it was a joke. My wife brought the truck back due to an issue discussed with our sales guy and all was OK, they were going to handle. When she got there, she got the runaround from the service dept, was told she was going to have to pay for the repair, etc. Once that was cleared up, the loaner car given was a ford fiesta, and the guy made a joke about having to cart our 3 kids around in it when she said it wouldn't work, saying to leave a kid behind. Not a funny joke when you're already pretty ticked. We figured we'd deal with it, since it was a 1-day repair, but unfortunately that one day repair turned into 3 days (for a window replacement). One additional note, if you are financing in house, make sure you find out who and what rate first. Was given one rate, but another was on the paperwork; my own fault for not catching it, and not pleased with the lender. Just a note - this is my own lack of attention to detail. Would not go here again, would not recommend this place, and if the emails don't stop coming, will likely write another review. read more

my daughters 2011 ford fiesta recently had safety issues with the right/rear door flying open due to an apparent quality/mechanical issue with the lock. a quick search engine search reveals this to be an increasing safety issue, with several complaints being filed with the nhtsa, mine recently included due to the poor response from ford and the dealership regarding this proble rockwall ford did nothing to resolve the safety issue except charge me $500 to get the door lock repaired. the 3yr/36000 warranty had recently expired. as i questioned in the meeting with the service manager, how would he deal with this should his daughters be in the rear seat of the vehicle and the door flys open taking a corner? he told me he had no answer...but business is business and ford is not covering this issue at this time....shameful really rockwall ford should address and cover this safety issue, and repair those vehicles w/o charging the customer due to the defective part. step up and do the right thing...shouldn't take congressional hearings like gm is in the middle of to get a safety issue fixed.... here's just a few of the complaints filed on the nhtsa site for the same problem... date complaint filed: 07/28/2014 component(s): structure date of incident: 07/19/2014 nhtsa id number: 10616992 all products associated with this complaint expand details close 0 associated documents crash:no fire:no number of injuries:0 number of deaths:0 manufacturer: ford motor company vehicle identification no. I cannot begin to say how upset and disgusted I am with this dealership. I should have known right away when I would bring my brand new car in for an oil change and had to wait 5-10 minutes just for a service advisor to acknowledge my presence. But I rolled my eyes and put up with it. However, I took my car in for a routine oil change and was advised that I have an oil leak. Funny because there was no drainage indicated on my garage floor and absolutely no white smoke to indicate an oil leak. But, I told them to repair it, and to their credit, they did it for free. 1-2 weeks later, my check engine light comes on. $500 to repair a "faulty vapor valve." I thought that was suspicious, but gave them the benefit of a doubt and had them do the repair. 1-2 weeks later, my check engine light comes on yet again. $300 to supposedly repair a different "faulty vapor value"--or so I was told at the time. My online service record says differently. It states they replaced some sort of fuel filler hose and assembly. Funny how all of these problems started when they repaired an "oil leak". Makes me suspicious that they create issues just to make more money. (Do they get commission on service repairs?) Either that or Ford makes the worst vehicles in the world. My car doesn't even have 65,000 miles on it. I will not buy another vehicle from Rockwall Ford, nor will I let them work on my vehicle ever again. I do not trust them. Beware. read more

Last Friday morning I got a call from a co-worker that his son was heading back from his grandfather's funeral in Sulphur Springs, Tx to Lubbock, Tx where he goes to pharmacy school. His transmission was acting up and he just made it far enough to drive into your facility. His dad asked if I knew anyone at this location as he needed some help getting his son back to school in a timely manner so he could take an important test. I called the dealership and they said you were out. I then called Scott Smith and gave him our situation and my co-workers son's telephone number as he was sitting in the Service Department waiting to be helped. Scott called the young man and went to meet and assist him. Scott contacted Jerry Jones in the Service Department and they assessed the transmission needed to be replaced. The co-worker's son needed to study for his exam so they gave him a loaner car to go to Starbucks so he could study. The initial contact with Rockwall Ford came in about 11:00 AM and he drove out of your service bay with a new transmission at 4:55 PM! That is World Class service!!!! read more

I have to admit I was skeptical to take my truck into this dealership due to the few reviews I had seen, that weren't so good. I moved here from out of state, am very particular about my vehicles, and had been dealing with a sound for over 20,000 miles that just kept getting worse, and another dealership couldn't seem to figure out what was wrong. Nervously, I took the truck in, asked if I could have a technician drive it and I ride along. Within 15 seconds the technician diagnosed my issue then took me back to the area to check to see if it was still under warranty. It was. He said he could possibly squeeze it in, and get it done by end of business day. I told him no worries if he couldn't, I was just thrilled he knew what the problem was finally. Everyone in there was willing to help, friendly, and spoke as they walked by. The technician was a little dry, but I overlooked that being he was obviously knowledgeable about his job. I thought it could stand an alignment so I asked them to do that as well, and asked if they could update my GPS. They called me and had my truck done several hours before closing, said I didn't need an alignment so they didn't feel the need to charge me for something I didn't need, and said not even the new Ford maps are as updated as they should and that I had the latest version. I was so thrilled with their customer service and that they didn't try to sell me an alignment, when they very easily could have, that they fixed my noise that was about to drive me crazy, and all without even having had an appointment ahead of time. I have learned more than just this once you have to take some of these reviews with a grain of salt because we are all human, they aren't going to be perfect all of the time, and every once in awhile we may get a bad technician working on our vehicle and everyone is bound to have a bad day. In the end it's how the dealership overcomes to correct the mistake and make the future business better. Thanks Rockwall Ford for making my experience the best it could have been.
