We decided to hire Rodent Control because we wanted an expert in rats and make sure they could not get into the house goibg forward especially since there were a fair amount in the backyard as there is a wash behind the house. Sam, Mario , Oscar and the rest of the crew were terrific, professional and effective. The work was not cheap but you do get what you pay for. Sam came and did a full inspection and scheduled the 3 person crew for the next day. They spent the entire day cleaning and sanitizing the attics, sealing dozens of entry points throughout our complicated house and setting traps. Even before Oscar came back one week later to inspect and haul off the trapped rodents it was clear that they had done their work. No more noises and our hunter of a dog isn't nosing around under the kitchen cabinets looking for prey. We are very pleased with Rodent Control's responsiveness and the quality of their work. I had a review here and it was deleted, hmm... If I could have given this company Zero reviews I would have after how we were recently treated. We are completely flabbergasted at how a small company has treated us, so I had to write this review to warn others. There are many rodent companies in LA - we recommend calling a few before you choose. This company's methods seemed to be overkill and caused many additional costs to us that we ended up paying for because the owner of the company refused to acknowledge them and never sent anyone out to take a look. All told we spent around $3,600 for the rodent service and will spend another $3,300 to remedy their mistakes! yikes! In 2021 we had to deal with a rodent problem in our attic and under the house. Like many people, we looked at the reviews and called a few companies with the most stars. Note: the most stars doesn't always mean the company is the best. The reviews are a bit forced from this company. Rodent Control came and completed the service. Our tech, Jake asked right away for a review only if it was a 5-star review so he could get points or some acknowledgment within the company. So I posted a review. Within a month the issue wasn't solved and we called to have them back to fix the problem. They came out and fixed some additional problems. By the way, this is not a cheap service. Our bill was in the $3,600 range. Fast forward to the spring of this year after all the rains. We started getting major roof leaks! For reference; we had a new roof put on about 5 years ago, when we did a remodel on our home. We called our roofer and contractor, and he stated the leaks were coming from the screws the rodent company installed on the roof where they put all this heavy-duty chicken wire. You can trace the water leaks on our ceiling exactly from where the screws were placed by the rodent company. Our roofer/contractor stated that this was completely unnecessary. The vents on your roof already have protection internally from rodents/critters, and this was overkill. Not to mention it caused major leaks in our roof and voided its warranty, unfortunately. My husband called Rodent Control and was transferred to the owner/Gil. He tried to explain the problem and asked if someone could come out to inspect where the damage occurred. However, we quickly learned that this is not a typical owner who wanted to hear about the problem. We were very surprised at the owner's tone with us. Gil just talked over my husband and denied this could ever occur and refused to send someone out to take a look at the problem. We were still getting rain so ended up paying our roofer to repair all the leaks caused by the rodent company. Now that the rains have stopped and no more leaks are coming through, we have to pay a painter to paint the entire vaulted great room ceiling in our home. We have received estimates that it will cost us around $2500. Another separate issue we had was with our dryer. It's only two and a half years old but stopped drying clothes. We called a repair person to take a look and they said the chicken wire the rodent company placed over the outside vent caused all the lint to back up into the dryer vent and damaged our dryer. We paid about $275 to have that repaired. These issues are a little old since this happened last spring and we attempted to have the Rodent Company remedy the situation, but they refused. It's a shame businesses like this are still in business. It seems like fraud to me. I am honestly shocked at how we were treated by the owner! If you do call, ask to speak with the owner if you have a problem. I'd be curious to see how you're treated. He basically just talks over you and never listens to the problem you are having with their service. Since this happened to us several months ago its past the point of getting anything back from this company - not that I ever expected them to do anything based on the owner's response. I wish I could have recorded the conversation we had. You would be shocked at how he treats his customers. The best thing we can do is make others aware that what this company does is overkill and mostly unnecessary given the huge expense of what they do. You are better off hiring a contractor to patch small holes as your roof vents and dryer vents should never be covered! I am a real estate agent so I for sure will never refer this company to any of my clients. read more

Tom was very helpful in getting our rodent issue under control at our house. It was really easy and quick to set up an appointment, and he very clearly explained the steps the crew would take to secure any entry points to the crawl space and attic to the outside. He and his crew came the next day and were very professional and thorough, cementing any holes/gaps and placing wire mesh over vents and other access points to the crawl space/attic. I had maintenance done on my heater/AC unit that is located in my attic and the service person stated he saw rat droppings. I contacted my pest control company and they didn't do anything special, they would just set traps, but not seal openings, remove and sterilize the attic. So I started my search. I looked at about 3 or 4 companies and chose Rodent Control, mainly because this is all they do, the price was not the only consideration and Rodent Control is not the cheapest. They had to work around my travel schedule. On day one, after initial inspection, 6 staff members arrived, they removed all my insulation as well as a couple rats. Cleaned, sterilized all the areas, sealed all entry points and set several traps. Then there were 3 times they cane to check the traps, each visit a week to 2 weeks apart. Fortunately they did a great job and never found a rat in any trap. Then I had them install new insulation, this was an additional charge but I wanted to use just one company. They followed up by calling me to see if I had any questions or issues. I am glad I chose this company. read more

Their company front man, Dorian, was knowledgeable, polite and took attention to details, going over the entire exterior of the house. Spotting tiny areas where rodents can sneak into. Upon service which meant closing all those holes in my house with a variety of materials, for the roof and crawlspaces there was a misunderstanding as far as screen placement to control rodents coming in. Dorian listened to my concerns then proceeded to make it right. He and his crew spend an extra 90 minutes at least rectifying the situation. I am so grateful for their hard work and professionalism. I had to call as I heard scratching noises in my ceiling. I knew I had some sort of rodent problem. I called rodent control and left a message on their voicemail. They called me quickly and was able to make me an appointment for a free quote and assessment. I met with Dorian the field operator. He gave me a quote and his recommendations. He gave me appointment in less than a week for them to return to take care of the rodent problem. The team consisted of Jorge, Luis, Kassandra and Kevin who came in and cleaned the attic, removed all installation, and sprayed some sort of scent so the rats or mice don't come back. They removed the loose wood boards as requested as it was left by prior owners. They were able to clean up and vaccum after boards removed.The team spent hours removing mice poop and installation making sure attic was clean before placing traps. Upon final inspection, Dorian came back to make sure the team completed a thorough job. He even found a possible entry in the back of the house and is sending Jorge back to take care of it......
