Scheduling was simple and he did follow-ups until there were no more rodents in the attic and crawl space. ~~~~ Due to Shelter-in-Place, my family has been spending more time at home and as a result, we began to notice noises in the walls and in the attic. We called Rodent Innovative Professions and Anthony was able to come the next day for a visit. He wore a face mask and gloves and made sure go keep social distancing which I really appreciated. The first thing he did was walk around the house to check for all the openings/vents. He then sent us an estimate with pictures of all the areas that he would fix. There were some vents that didn't have obvious openings but he went ahead and fixed them for us and did a great job(before and after pics below). Our house didn't have a dryer vent and he told us that he could help us install it if we went to get one. After all the openings we're sealed, he set up traps in the attic and crawl space and told us to schedule a follow-ups appointment via text after 5-7 days later. Once no rodents are trapped, he will set up baby powder to make sure there are no rodent tracks. The follow-up after the baby powder is set can be a bit longer but if no rodent tracks are found, we can be confident that there are no more rodents! Timeline of Appointments - 3/26 (initial): foundation rodent proofing & set-up traps - 3/30: trapped 1 rodent in the crawl space - 4/7: no rodents in traps so set-up baby powder (heard noises again in the attic & walls) 4/30: sealed up hidden opening & set-up more traps - 5/5: trapped 2 rodents in crawl space and 1 rodent in attic - 5/12: trapped 1 rodent in crawl space - 5/19: no rodents in crawl space so set-up baby powder For the hidden opening, it was a small gap between our house and the crawl space/foundation that my husband and I forgot about until recently. The gap was hidden behind some rocks and dirt but a tiny was able to use mesh to seal it up! He even helped seal up small gaps found in our detached garage. We had our house rodent proofed about a year ago, but noticed the dreaded half eaten banana, bread bag chewed through, etc. shortly after they assured us that the house was completely sealed up from any unwanted intruders. They came out to check their work, closed up more potential points of entry, but the problem persisted! We tried to deal with the awful problem on our own by setting countless traps, having to deal with the unpleasant clean up of the traps and spoiled food, etc. I have a particular anxiety about rats/mice so this was a truly tough one for me to handle/learn to live with. We had a great experience with Anthony. We had a rat problem in our crawl space (thanks to shoddy rodent-proofing done by another company a few years ago) and had been having trouble getting anyone to come deal with it. Anthony reponded right away and was able to come do the work within a couple of days. I had the privilege to hire RIP for a job, and I'm extremely happy with the results! Call Anthony if you like friendly service with a craftsman you can trust, an honest worker who's communicative and helpful through every step of the work, and a really fair price that others probably can't beat. I had a very weird, fairly small rodent-proofing job in an awkward space that others wouldn't touch. It's not a "standard" project by any means and it didn't fit any of the pre-fab solutions you'd read about online or find described by a store employee. I had an inaccessible space up against a fence that I needed sealed off from rodents and other pests, and Anthony had the presence of mind to not just tack up a bunch of wire mesh (that's what I'd thought to do) but instead build several complete and tight-fitting wooden structures *anchored in concrete* and securely fixed to all surrounding surfaces with screws and caulk to create complete and long-lasting seals. He and his co-worker Luis spent a bit under 2 days working on this project, and saved me a huge headache. They were both friendly and neat with their work. They were extremely respectful of my space and our neighbors, and generally just really pleasant people to worth with. The final bill came in well within our pre-agreed range, and I'm 100% happy. We coordinated work times and meetups by text message, which was super-convenient for me...I find it frustrating how a lot of larger, more established businesses insist on phone coordination through their offices during business hours only. I knew that I had rats in my garage when I found a lot of rat poop on the garage floor. I called several different companies in the area for a free estimate. Rodent Innovative Professionals (RIP) was one of these companies. To compare the different companies, I considered the estimator's inspection during the first visit and the cost of the services. It was readily apparent that RIP (Anthony Cardenas) conducted the most attentive and comprehensive inspection. Anthony climbed the ladder to the roof and was the only one who carefully inspected the roof and surrounding structures. He sent me pictures of the gaps and holes that made it easy for rats to invade the house at various points. He explained how these weak points contributed to the recurring rat infestation. Based on his diligence and excellent customer service during the free fee estimate and the very reasonable price that RIP offered, I decided to entrust RIP with my business. To address the current rat infestation, RIP placed traps in the crawlspace, attic, and garage. The service includes two return trips to check the traps, remove rats that are caught and place new traps. To prevent future rat infestations, RIP also sealed the holes throughout the house with screens and filled the gaps with protective material. Anthony returned two times as promised to check the traps that he had set. He ended up catching two rats, one in the attic and one in the crawlspace. More importantly, Anthony had rodent-proofed the house to make it harder for the rats to return. I live in an area that was once populated with fruit orchards, and many houses still have a fruit tree or more, so there are many temptations for the hungry rat. Eliminating the rats from the neighborhood may be impossible, but I can at least ensure that rats will find it more challenging to enter my house. Wow wow wow!!! I can't recommend Anthony enough! I posted a request through Yelp at around 6:30pm hoping to get service call for the next business day. Anthony replied to my post in less than 10 minutes and he said he could go to my house that evening. He got there at 7:30pm and investigated the strong unpleasant smell coming from the attic.
