Great vibe and delicious burgers. We had the Marvin Zindler and the mushroom burger (the name was a bunch of numbers I don't remember). Both were great. The bottom bun got pretty soggy, but I ate it so fast I didn't care. We got the cheese fries surprise and it was good, but I should have just gotten plain fries or chips because it was too much for me. Nice selection of beer. Fast service. After a friend recommended this place, hubby and I finally tried it. It did not disappoint. We split a Whiskey Burger....fantastic!!! We also had an order of fries (delish) and homemade chips (so good I brought them home to savor later). They had $2 mimosas so we ordered some and they were good...heavy on the champagne. I also ordered iced tea and it was awesome!!! I am a tea snob and no matter how good the food is, if the tea is instant or sucky, I won't eat there again. Awesome burgers, good fries, and a perfectly balanced fountain soda machine (seriously, I don't usually drink soda but I make the exception for here because the Coca-cola is PERFECT and totally worth the splurge)! The chips are a little weird because they put sugar on top of them, but the burgers are great! I definitely feel like the size and flavors are worth the cost (which isn't horrible, but definitely more expensive than making them at home), and while they have a great variety of choices, they also don't mock guests who just want a plainer burger (and their patties are so good that they don't need a ton on top to be tasty!). The shakes are worth a try, too! I usually split an order of fries, though, because a full order for one person is a crazy amount of food on top of an already huge burger. read more

Great service and Steaming Pile app. We ordered a Sugar Burger and the Italian Sausage/Beef Burger. The buns were like air and the burgers lacked flavor. Somewhat dry and they forgot the pesto on my burger. Was really excited to try this place due to all the pictures and photos I've seen. Sadly, I've had better burgers at fast food joint. Parking was a little difficult, but we did manage to find a spot. We were greeted when we came in but our blonde waitress was not one bit friendly. It really put a damper on the whole experience of trying something new. She took our order with barely a smile, did not ask if it was our first time or suggest a single thing on the menu, never said thank you and was just very short with us. Not a super kid friendly place, more of a bar/social atmosphere for adults. No kids menu is available. The food was delicious. The queso was on point, though the salsas didn't impress. However, the burgers were unique and tasty. We tried two different burgers. One had sausage mixed in it and the other had chorizo mixed with the beef. They were both very yummy and different than anything we had ever had. The fries were super good too. I'd go back and try it again, but not take the kids and hope I got a friendlier waiter. read more

Super laid back atmosphere was good for my not so laid back 4 year old. Waitress Oshay (sp) was attentive, funny and made good suggestions. Had a great first experience at Rodeo Goat before an Astros game. The Oaxaca Chaca is easily one of THE BEST burgers I have every had. Flavor was on point with the right amount of kick from the chorizo. The service was outstanding and we had a really good conversation with the manager who ended up comping us a dessert of Goat Balls. Food was good, but timing was an issue. Went for the first time with a group of friends. While our server was really nice, it seemed that there was quite a lag between ordering our drinks and receiving them. They came one at a time, so by the time the last in the group got their drink the first was already done. We ordered the tater tots as an appetizer, but it came out with the food. Delicious, but I wish we'd had them earlier. Even though all but one of us ordered our burgers rare all of them came out medium well. I had the 330 mushroom burger, and while the flavor was great I wish it'd been cooked properly. I'd go back to see if they've sorted out their growing pains. read more

Yes. Just yes. This burger lover's wishes for a neighborhood burger dive were answered and boy does RG deliver. The restaurant is super laid back with a huge dining area and an outdoor seating area. While we were there at night, I'm most looking forward to spending some afternoons on their patio with one of the whiskey cocktails on hand. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! This was our first time in Houston and we were craving turkey burgers and tons of fries. After coming upon this gem, we were left beyond satisfied! My boyfriend even ordered another burger to take back to the hotel with us. This place allows you to customized your burger and have different patty options (great for those who are vegetarians/vegans). Our server, Mia was so great! She knew the menu like the back of her hand and offered us some different customizations to our order. She was very attentive and I was sooo impressed with her excellent customer service. If you're a burger foodie, you have to go to Rodeo Goat. Their burgers and side orders are fantastic. I had the Chaka Oaxaca and it was incredible!! Also, the Cheese Fries Surprise and the Chips and Queso are top notch! They have a large and very nice pet-friendly patio area which is partly covered by awnings for shade. It may take some time for the service to catch up to the quality of food Rodeo Goat serves. We had an hour plus wait for our burgers, making it obvious that our waitress forgot to put in our order after we noticed that other people who arrived after our table were receiving their burgers before us. While we appreciated getting a free appetizer to make up for our wait, it took us getting the attention of another waitress to correct the mistake. This is my new favorite place to go get a burger and a beer. I tried the Hot Bastet Burger, let's just say it lives up to its name!! Very juicy burger, love the fact that the bread is toasted to perfection.
