We recently went to Rodizio Grill for my dad's birthday and had such a fun experience. I loved the salad bar--ate my weight in the sweet, juicy, perfectly caramelized pineapple--and while I was a little bummed there wasn't any seafood this time, the garlic steak was incredible: tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a rich garlicky punch. The staff made the evening extra special by singing to my shy dad and bringing him a gigantic bowl of ice cream on the house. The gaucho servers were attentive and kept the food coming, so we got the full Brazilian grill experience. Even on a busy night, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd go back to celebrate again!

Great experience at this Brazilian grill. Service was amazing and was greeted immediately upon entering. The place is very industrial and lofty with an upscale feel. It was a Friday night and it was packed! The salad bar had 42 items and delicious pickings from ceviche to crispy polenta and seafood salad! It would have been enough to have the salad bar only but we wanted the "whole experience". The gaucho servers were excellent and quick to come and fill our plates with Parmesan chicken, chicken hearts, sirloin steak, jalapeño steak, Parmesan steak, honey ham, chili grilled pineapple, honey pineapple, and so on ... At the end of our dinner, the manager came over to check on us. He was very cordial and a nice touch to ensure customer satisfaction in such a busy establishment. We will return!

We dined here to celebrate a birthday. It was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse. It is essentially AYCE meat with a salad bar (additional price). I have no comparisons or expectations, but based on my experience here, I most likely will not return. It was my fiance's birthday, so we made a reservation along with a message stating the celebratory occasion. Our server was a young female. She explained the rules for us, but spoke very quickly despite us asking her to repeat. It was rushed, impersonable, and overwhelming. Maybe because it was a somewhat busy night? We opted to do the AYCE salad bar on top. The meat is served by several servers. They come to your table and ask if you want a piece. There is a wide selection of meats available, including but not limited to beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. To be honest, most of the meats were very salty with some being more than others. The salt ruined the experience, but luckily the salad bar helped to balance the meal. They have a large variety of options to grab at the salad station, which also includes other hot foods. It gives a nice break if you are tired of eating meat. Throughout the meal we witnessed several tables getting a birthday celebration from the staff. We were also expecting one for ourselves. However, when it came to us getting the bill we never received one. Our server looks at the note on our reservation and publicly remarks, "Oh...." It was evident that she had forgotten. Not what we customers wanted to see or hear. That definitely dropped our experience and the credibility that this establishment is attempting to perceive. Despite all of this, I want to give a huge shoutout to Noah and Elijah. Noah was a server bringing us some meat. He was super friendly, nice, accommodating, and funny. He always remembered my mother wanted a "VERY small piece" and made her laugh. Elijah did not serve us, but I watched how hard he worked. He cleared and set tables very quickly and efficiently. He moved every plate and tableware perfectly aligned and I saw he had great attention to detail. Of course, everyone who came by was nice, but these two really stood out and deserve recognition.

Rodizio Grill - Mesa Brazilian BBQ Nice Salad Bar, I miss the old self serve salad bars that use to be in so many restaurants prior to covid. Many pasta salads, potato salad, multiple lettuce types and salad dressings. Also has an extensive Hot Side Dish Food Buffet with a good selection of items which includes the awesome cheesy garlic bread, rice, beef strogenoff, deep fried bananas, french fries, corn us others. Brazilian BBQ - remember, it is a marathon, not a sprint, so select wisely and don't get full on the salad bar. Cheesy Garlic Bread is a must to accompany the meats. The meats includes Maminha Tri-Tip, Picanha Top Sirloin, Chimichurri, Various Chicken, Sausage, Boneless Rib and many others. Once the wood block is set on green, the Gauchos who serve and slice the meats at your table are there to accommodate the type and quantity to your liking, plus our waiter Joel made sure we were taken care of We celebrated our son's 30th Birthday and they capped it off with a complimentary dessert selection

This is a nice place in a pinch. The salad bar is the biggest disappointment that's there. The meats for the most part were good, but some were very tough. The flavors with meats were spot on. The wait staff we only saw once at our table but the meat carvers were always around. I will say I do respect the for the flag flying half mast.

All Inclusive Salad Bar

Having an all inclusive price lets you really focus on the taste of the food, from everything at the salad bar to assorted chicken, tri tip, pork, and sirloins they offer. My personal favorites were the tri tip and pork shoulder, although it could be because those were the ones I got that were still fresh and warm. Getting the last piece off the skewer was definitely not the best. I was a bit disappointed to see that they charged for each refill of a drink without telling us, not what you would expect for their pricing style. I don't want to do a direct comparison to Fogo de Chao, but it is definitely a step below in terms of quality and ambiance, but it's also less expensive, so you get what you pay for.

Every time we come here, I always tell myself I'm going to get less at the salad bar so that I have room for all the meat. Once again that did not happen. This place has a nice atmosphere with lots of wood and dividers of frosted glass with pictures etched on. There's a bar in the front with seating at the bar and a few tables. There is also a patio outside, but I don't know if that's used. This is a Brazilian steakhouse with a large salad bar. You can pay for just the salad bar, or the salad bar with the all you can eat meat served by "gauchos." When you're seated you receive a wooden block. One side is red one side is green - - if you would like the person serving meat to stop at your table, you make sure the green side is up. If you want them to pass you by you put up the red side. When you are done, you lie the block on its side. The salad bar is really, really good with lots of choices. There is a regular salad with toppings, but there are also a variety of pre-made salads like ceviche, grapes with blue cheese and walnuts, and spicy chicken salad. There is a hot bar to the side. We were there during brunch hours so there were some breakfast items included candy bacon which was delicious. It also had mashed potatoes and beef stroganoff - - I swear this is the best beef stroganoff ever. There are also delicious puffy Brazilian cheese bread. Then while you were at your table, someone comes to your table with different meats on a long skewer. You have it plate with small tongs and he will slice off the amount of meat you want onto your plate. When we were there, there were three people bringing out the meat skewers. While we were there, the gauchos served tri-tip, garlic sirloin, garlic parmesan beef, sausages, bacon-wrapped chicken, sweet and spicy chicken, chicken hearts, glazed ham, and grilled pineapple. Everything is so good, especially when you top it with the chimichurri that's available on the salad bar. I don't know how authentic the food is here, but I do know that I really like it. It's delicious! I always eat way too much here despite my plans to stop before I'm too full. There's never room for dessert, but the dessert tray looks pretty good.

Came by to redeem the BOGO birthday deal! Love that they give you a 2 week window to use it. Normally $48.99/pp. Made a reservation and was seated within 5 minutes of waiting. Really friendly staff, especially the guys who go around with their cuts of meat. One guy was in training and he did a great job. There is a bar and lots of alcoholic options but it's also a casual and family friendly restaurant. There were a lot of families and kids on a Friday night. The meats are obviously what they are famous for - we particularly enjoyed the porks and beef cuts that didn't have cheese on em (those were a little too salty). Also the spicy chicken was sooo tender and good. Salad bar is decent - I enjoyed building my own salad rather than the premixed salads. Hot food bar was just OK. Husband didn't want to get sung to so we got the birthday flan to go haha. Flan was super creamy and yummy. Overall great service and decent food, would return.

Rodizio Grill - Mesa Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Rodizio Grill - Mesa

Are dessert included in the full experience or price separately? I have try to read the menus on like and pic and there is no mention. Thank you

Yes dessert is included in the full experience.

What is the price for dinner his month? Is there a special? One of the reviewers said it was $38.99.

That special is over. They do have regular specials that I get through emails. Also 55 and older get 20% off at the Mesa location.

How much is the price now? Has it gone up tremendously?

If you sign up on their website you can get a free full rodizio for your birthday. It's worth it. $37 brunch and $47 for dinner. They do have a lot of options still.

I don't eat alot...can I just get a plate of food?

They only offer 2 buffets salad bar only or the full Rodizio. Not individual plates or meals unless you are doing take out.

Are there any private dining areas for a business dinner for 8 people, possibly 10? TIA

Ok, I've been there a lot and I've never seen a secluded area. I'd give them a call but I'm going to go with no. However saying that. We had a group of 10 go about 2 months ago and we were in a corner pretty much by ourselves at 6pm on a Wednesday.

Is there MSG in any of the food (very allergic)?

Rodizio Grill is 100% MSG free, 100% Peanut Free, and 97% Gluten Free. :)

Are you allowed to redeem birthday coupons during the pandemic?

Club Rodizio members will be receiving missed birthday offers with new expiration dates, starting June 1 2020. Offers will be staged to meet state occupancy restrictions. Early March birthdays will receive offers in early June, late March birthdays… Read more

Do they allow leftovers boxed? I don't eat much at dinner but when I get home a couple hours later I chow down. lol

No, this is essentially a buffet where they bring the food to your table. They will allow you to take leftover dessert though.

Is there a big difference between the brunch menu and dinner menu? Just want to know if the $10 difference is worth it. Thanks.

Just the # of cuts they bring out and expect more chicken and pork instead of beef

How many cuts of meat does Rodizo have? I have had Fogo and agree their meat quality isn't what it use to, also had Serra Gaucha and that was decent....Rodizo you are my next victim & I am sure you wont disappoint

Seems like quiet a few. All meats I had came around with fresh meats and many options.

I been to fogo de chão plenty of time. how does this restaurant compare?

The service isn't as quick, meaning they don't come around as quickly as they do at Fogo, but the buffet portion for the sides tastes so much better in my opinion and they have a lot more variety such as chicken and seafood :) hope that helps!

Gelato is something I love to indulge on occasion, and after a couple Yelper friends reviewed, I had this on my radar to try. When my friends today mentioned wanting dessert after lunch, I suggested this as it was in proximity to where we met for ramen. The owner (I presume) greeted us and so did his brother who was seated in the lobby. They boasted it was the best gelato in Arizona, and it was authentic like Italy. I was skeptical at first as a lot can talk a big game, but then you try it and it's average. Stracciatella is a classic flavor and one of my favorites, so I requested a sample. It was very creamy, but the dark chocolate helped cut the sweetness. I ordered a piccolo (small) and it was just the right size for a treat. My friends ordered behind me and I found a spot for us to sit and chat. The interior is mostly tables for two chairs, but we made a table of three. In the future, I'd probably grab to go as it's fairly small. Still a solid choice for a sweet treat and I would recommend it if you are in the area.
