This is a fun place to listen to a band and the food was actually good, but I wouldn't even know how to describe the layout because it was all over the place. The section that is the dance floor is very small for the size of place it is. I got the power bowl with the chili sauce on the side and I don't know what they put on it but there was no sauce on the side. I was there with a group of 7 and everybody seemed to enjoy their food. It really depends what you order, salmon is delicious, flatbread is greasy and lacks flavor except for the over powering garlic, service was friendly but forgot salads, bread sticks and could handle 2 drink orders at a time. Update: Today, we went back for dinner after a lukewarm experience several weeks ago. What we found is that the old Rodgers roost that we know and love did not disappoint. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels with the cheese dip. They were hot, crispy and soft in the middle. The beer cheese dip was thick, tasty and perfect for the pretzels. I also ordered The chicken tortilla soup. It was piping hot, topped with tortilla strips, and cheesy. It had a thick base, and was chunky with chicken and served with a dollop of sour cream. Both of us decided we would try the Power Bowl. I ordered the chicken and my husband ordered the Beef. The bowl was filled with meat, lots of vegetables on a foundation of rice. The rice was just so-so and kind of bland, the teriyaki sauce was clearly out of a bottle and just OK. I recommend getting the sauce on the side. Overall, the bowl was full of protein, crisp, clean and very healthy. It was a really good choice. Service was attentive. Several people stop by to make sure everything was OK. The walls are filled With lots of eye candy and neon signs. Even the booths that are "high tops" have foot rests, making dining comfortable. Will definitely be back. read more

Roger's Roost is a mainstay, and has some really tasty food. If you haven't tried the pizza, make sure you do. They have deals on it, which make it a really good value. The interior is funky, and the servers are young, but very helpful. They also have special events, like Thanksgiving dinner, which are worth a try. read more

Just ok...nothing exciting. Place seems a little dated, with over the top decor, too much to reliably keep clean. I kept thinking about the dust that was surely falling off the various decorative pieces displayed around the ceiling. The menu was pretty expansive and I always take that as a bad sign. My wife has been going to Roger's Roost since she was a child. I began going there with her since I met her in the mid-90s, and it's always been really good. They were known for their pizza and burgers. We had dinner there on December 20th, and it was great. We took the kids there today for an early dinner, and there were some problems. To begin with, the hostess did not offer us the popcorn they have in a large popcorn machine, which is always a good snack while you're waiting/looking at the menu. No big deal, but that started it out. Our waitress was just off her game. Maybe she was having a bad day; I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. She took everyone's order but my son's who was sitting next to me; we had to call her back as she began walking away. Then she forgot to put his order in; all of the food came out except his. We waited for her to return to the table to check on the food/offer refills; that didn't happen, and we had to flag her down. When my son asked about his order, she said, "I think I saw it sitting in the window." She returned a few beats later and asked if she could have the kitchen crew wrap it up. We just asked her to take it off the bill. When we got the bill, my wife reviewed it and noticed a Michelob Ultra on it, which we did not order. So, we had to draw her attention to that. She was very apologetic. Again... she seemed distracted and befuddled. The food was just okay; the pizza I ordered was a notch up from a frozen pizza. It was nothing like I remember. The boneless wings my son's girlfriend ordered seemed like they came out of a Farm Rich box from the supermarket. The antipasto salad was nothing special. The only good thing was the French Onion soup; it was delicious. We enjoy going to Roger's Roost because of the atmosphere; it's nostalgic, and we love all of the pop-culture items they have on the walls, and hanging from the ceiling. You could spend hours looking at everything that's on display. We also loved their consistently good pizza and other items, but it's not the same. CONSISTENCY IS KEY WITH FOOD! Sadly, things seem to be changing at Roger's Roost. I cannot say I would recommend it now. read more

My parents previously ordered carry-out and had a great meal. They suggested to order from here again when my husband and I came over. So we gave it a shot! Their menu is pretty vast and includes pizza, burgers, entrees, etc. However, I will say that what is on the menu rather it be online or paper carry-out menu does not always match with the food offered. For instance, there is no coconut option - the menu includes "make it coconut" for cod and other seafood but when we called to order the coconut, they said we don't have that. The same confusion goes for the fish tacos which on the menu includes lime-mayo and we were told there is no such thing. So, not sure if the chef that wrote the menu is no longer there or what? We ordered our food via phone and said a prayer because we all ordered 4 different dishes and some with special requests. However, the staff member read our order back to us and we were all set. The place was empty and pretty slow for a Saturday. Picked up our food without an issue. I did notice seating inside, patio, and bar - so lots of places to sit. Everything for the most part was right especially considering such a large order. My fish tacos were ok - you get three tacos and the fish was crispy and a good portion. However, the tortilla is barely toasted and the taco could be improved. It needs a sauce and some guac, or something. A little underwhelming but the fish itself was excellent. My fries were great and I asked for well done - they were crispy and had a good flavor. Everyone else was pretty happy with their meals and didn't have complaints. We tried to get our waitress or a managers attention and they completely ignored us. Paid for it and tipped over 20%. Asked for a water. Had to wait until she finished some long, personal conversation with a guy at the end of the bar. Never did get my pizza. Had to find someone who was cleaning out the popcorn machine and have her go back to the kitchen to get my pizza. I then went to the server station, got napkins, silverware and plates. The one server standing there kindly moved out of the way so I could get all of that, yet made no effort to even ask why I was doing it as a customer. Roger's Roost has been a local favorite for years! It has withstood the test of time, and they keep true to their game: a spot to watch sports, an event to host, family night out, live music, or simply a place to grab a bite and enjoy the company of friends. Different nights of the week, they have nightly specials on food. For example, last night was all you can eat perch, some nights it's half off pizza, rib night....you get the point.
